"Ladies and Gentlemen...

It is with great pride that I present to you the New Annual Intramural Competition known as The Contest Of Champions. Meta-human schools and teenagers from around the globe have come together for the first time to compete for the Ultimate title of Champion!

We're doing this in an effort to hone the skills of all students and teenage heroes alike and extend an olive branch between us all. To build bridges where communication lines may have been broken.

We're hoping that with all of us working together, competing together, learning together that we can better live together and do something pretty ultimate if I'm honest.

In two weeks, the selected competitors will be located to a remote island where the games will occur. Where through various events, you heroes will test your skills against each other.

So now you know why you're here, let's begin!"

That was the offer anyway. The next thing you know all hell broke loose! Light flash everywhere all around the group of teenagers who had gathered to listen to the presentation in the main auditorium of Future Foundation's Baxter Building. As the light subsided the group realized that every adult in the room had vanished. What was wrong? All they knew was that trouble was ahead. Especially with the fact that what appears to be an alien ship is floating above New York.

Basically, you are to play as one of the super powered teenagers who was either signed up or was instructed to partake in the Contest Of Champions. That was when anyone over the age of 18 vanished from the face of the earth.

You can choose to have your character a member of one of the various meta-human schools located with the Marvel universe, which include: Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, The Future Foundation and Avengers Academy. Or you could play as another young hero in the Marvel Universe.

You are to play as Canon Characters but you can modify their history and even abilities. Though the biggest thing about modifying the character is to try and keep their core style intact. Practically any hero is allowed! Older heroes can also be played as, although I shall not be accepting a teenage Captain America or an Iron-Teenager.

History: Deadpool and Storm were drunk, partying, and fade to black. When Christopher was born his mother taught him some basic fighting skills, but tried to keep his identify secret. When he developed powers, Storm knew she couldn't keep up the charade for long and Christopher got sent to the school for gifted youngsters where he developed his powers and learned about his heritage. He's considering going after his dad, but figures it's probably not worth it. A few days before the start of his senior year Christopher ran off and became a merc. Like father like son.

Sorry Deadkool but he did say...

Anyway I'm in, why not...

I'm afraid he's right Deadkool! You can reapply with another character if you wish, although if you do so, you're CS is going to need to have a bit more detail than Lightnin'!

Who you planning on joining as?

I'm thinking Franklin Richards with his dad's power like I did a while back. Only this time I'm keeping him and if I consider changing him out. I want you to like... I don't know, smack me or something.

Sounds good! I'll get the beating stick ready!

May I join as well ^_^?
Got a character in mind?

I'm most likely going to use Pixie, as I never did get a chance before! Either that or Cullen Bloodstone. Maybe even Butterball?

Full Name: Franklin Richards
Alias: Ultra Boy
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Powers: Has the same aspects of his father's elastic powers. Which allows him the ability to stretch out 3 miles max. As well as do a variety of ways to change his form, inflate, deflate, change shape, among plenty of other things.
Appearance:

History: Franklin Richards needless to say has led a strange life. The son of Reed and Susan Richards, the leaders of The Fantastic Four and Future Foundation. Along with Susan's brother Johnny and Reed's life long friend Ben Grimm. The four are world renown as celebrity superheroes not shy to be open about their public identities. While this has been good for many reasons, it has made life for Franklin tough as his parents had countless enemies who weren't shy about using Franklin as a means to get at his parents. Because of that Franklin stayed for a lot of his life in the safe confines of The Baxter Building and its state of the art security. He never had many friends in his life, but did have one close friend in Herbie. A hovering robot that Franklin has had since he was 4.
When Franklin turned 7 his metahuman gene mutations kicked in, and suddenly Franklin went from being a relatively normal kid to becoming possibly the most powerful mutant in the world. Franklin became able to control the very fabric of reality, create entire worlds or even universes. When news about his powers really reached the general public it caught a lot of attention. In particular the attention of a man named Victor Von Doom. The leader of Latveria held a very deep grudge against Franklin's father, as well as an intense desire for conquering the universe. With all this, Doom devised a plan involving Franklin. Kidnapping him in the middle of the night and holding him against his will in his personal castle.
Doom planned on making a device which sapped Franklin of his powers and used them to rework the universe in whatever ways he wished. Franklin would surely be killed in the process, but Doom was more than willing to let it happen as a final means of revenge to his father. However before Doom could turn the machine on with Franklin strapped to it. The Fantastic Four as well as The Avengers both attacked Doom's castle to save Franklin. Though they held their own the fight began to slowly turn for Doom and his doombots. Franklin knew he didn't have much time. Trying to come up with a plan eventually Franklin used his reality changing powers one more time to change his powers forever. It was watching his father fight Doom that made him decide to change his powers to be elastic just like him. It was because of this Franklin helped change the course of the battle and after Doom accidentally got knocked out of a top floor window, the battle ended in victory. With Doom having not been seen since.
Franklin has been trained and taught how to control his new powers by his father. Franklin's parents thought now was the perfect time to have him put his training to the test.
Changes to canon if necessarily: Complete change of powers as a result of a plot by Dr. Doom. Otherwise fairly standard.

I was thinking about using Kitty Pryde, if that would be okay

ARE YOU TRYING TO DO RP AVENGERS ARENA?!

Seriously if you are or even consider it I'm not doing this RP. Fuck that noise.

That should be fine considering she's one of the youngest of the main X-men!

Oh god no! General plot stays as it is! Just thought Cullen would be a good idea, since it would mean there would be a character from another school, etc. Plus I can totally see him transforming into his soul beast during a final battle.

Full Name:
"Most people call me Kitty, it's a nickname."
Katherine Anne Pryde

Alias:
"Haha, it's kinda silly..."
Shadowcat.

Age:
"Old enough to take care of myself."
17.

Gender:
"Can't you tell?"
Female.

Powers:
"Just, you know, phasing. Nothing too awesome."
Phasing: Shadowcat possessed the ability to pass through solid matter by passing her atoms through the spaces between the atoms of the object through which she was moving. In this way she and the object through which she was passing could temporarily merge without interacting, and each was unharmed when Shadowcat had finished passing through the object. This process was called "phasing." When Shadowcat was phasing, she was, for all intents and purposes, intangible. Hence, when attacked, she could shift into a "phasing" state (even if she was not at the time passing through an object) so as to allow oncoming projectiles or energy blasts to pass through her harmlessly. Shadowcat passed through objects at the same rate of speed at which she was moving before she "entered" it. She trained herself to go automatically, by reflex, into a phasing state at any indication of danger, such as a loud noise like a gunshot, in order to protect herself. Also, the fact that she was able to keep herself, and the breakworld bullet, in a constant state of intangibility for several months in space, may be an indicator that her powers have advanced to a point where she does not need to eat or breathe whilst phasing.
  • Air Walking: Using her phasing ability, Shadowcat could walk on air. In fact, she could use her ability to walk on the air from the ground to the upper stories of a building as if she were climbing a staircase.
  • Phasing Extension: From the first use of her phasing power, Shadowcat was able to phase her clothing along with herself. Through practice she learned to phase other objects along with herself without harm to them, and at one point phased an entire X-Men team. She could also enable someone as big as Colossus to "walk on air" along with her. However, she had to maintain physical contact with the people or objects she phased along with herself for the effect to work with this other person or object.
  • Electrical Disruption: She could phase through any material object, even living people. When she phased through an object with an electrical system, the process disrupted the system's workings.
  • Telepathic Resistance: Her thoughts were highly erratic when phased as if there was no mind to telepathically affect.

History:
"Why would you care about my life story?"
Kitty started to have headaches at age thirteen, headaches which signaled the emergence of her mutant powers. She was approached by both the X-Men's Charles Xavier and the Hellfire Club's White Queen, Emma Frost, both of whom hoped to recruit her for their respective causes. Kitty was unnerved by Frost, observing that the White Queen had looked at her as if she were "something good to eat". She got along better with Xavier and the three X-Men who escorted him to his meeting with her and her parents, becoming fast friends with Ororo Munroe. Ororo told Kitty who she really was and about the X-Men, which made the teenager even more enthusiastic about attending Xavier's school. She was the youngest person to join the X-Men up to that point.

During her teen years, Kitty fostered a number of close relationships with others at the school and in the X-Men. Kitty also befriended Lockheed, a highly intelligent alien resembling a dragon, who followed her home after a mission in outer space. Lockheed is extremely loyal to Kitty, and the two of them share a psychic bond. Kitty also shares a mental/empathic connection with her pet dragon Lockheed; both she and the alien dragon can "sense" each other's presence at times and generally understand one another's thoughts and actions. Wolverine became something of a mentor to Kitty despite his usually gruff personality. Storm came to view Kitty as the daughter she never had.

Changes to canon if necessarily:
Nope, there aren't really any changes.

Nice work! Accepted! :)
Since you used Kitty, probably going to use Cullen myself so there isn't two perky teenage girls from the same school! I'll start working on that when I get home tonight!

I almost hoped you just stuck with Butterball, he could make a much more fascinating member to the team.

Okay, sorry about me kinda making you change your character, or whatever. I could create a different person, if you'd like?

can i reserve a spot?

No no it's fine!! Although decided I'm going to take Drew's advice and play Butterball!
Yeah I think not only is Butterball a completely different kind of character in relations to the others, you can just do more with him in my mind compared to Cullen.

Alright so quick question. Can we double up on characters? I'd be cool either way but wouldn't hurt to ask.
