In regards to posting: Being that they are a group of nine I don't expect them to constantly be attached at the hip. That said, the formal posting order will be Rosita, Colleen, Robert, Edmund, Elijah, Temperence, Kelsey, Adam, and then Alison. If your characters are interacting separate of the group, please us PMs or Google Docs to collaborate the effort and then post it as one entire post.

In regards to development: Naturally, the Out of Character thread is designed for talking... out... out of character. However, one of the most annoying things is discussing plots, events, character relationships, timelines, and just a shit ton of development-related things for your characters... and then having to dig through seventy posts just to find them. I encourage everyone to take advantage of the Information Station and use your posts there to catalog your character development.[/hr]



Two weeks after the official formation of the group formerly known as The Fateful Eight they decided to re-brand themselves as The Madcaps (like that's better), and they've spent their time in New Jersey lending a helping hand here and there. But it's time for them to get serious if they're going to do what they set out to do: take down the villains hiding behind badges and bogus laws.

chapter 1
  • We're Gonna Die

    After putting it to a vote, the Madcaps have decided to purchase a plot of land and the abandoned factory on it. The woman they've bought it from, Mira Retner, supports their cause; there's more than a few mutant branches on her family tree and she wants them to have a fighting chance in the world. So now that they have a base of operations and a place to call home, it's time to clean it up and get serious. But, as is common when one chooses the path of heroism, it's never too long before trouble comes knocking.

I just realized that I miscounted and THERE ARE NOT NINE AND I'M SUCH A DITZ.

Now I have to go edit shit. motherfucker.
 
Damn I'm excited. Also starting my write up in the information station.

If anyone wants a banner like the one I made for Robbie just hit me up. The online editor that I use makes it hella easy so it's not a problem. :^)

bless my soul, i just figured out how html/css is being used via bbcode. genius. and less tedious than doing full style&body. :D expect to see my ugly experiments soon.

don't worry, i won't be cluttering the ooc with them, just practicing in my little corner of the info dump

If you want, feel free to pick apart my CS/info dump sheet. It's all DIV coding and I find it easier to learn from other people's work, so I know what it's supposed to look like XD

That's literally how I'm learning coding. It's hard for me to retain information doled out textbook style, so I usually get free-to-use templates people have posted on Tumblr, Shine, and CTTW and then just post them in LiveWeave, spending hours picking them apart and studying them so I can understand the functions.

I've got a test thread you're welcome to pick through, too - I'm not picky about people using/borrowing my code, so long as it's changed enough that it's not literally the same code XD

Number one rule of using other people's code: never rip it off and use it as a base for your own. Words I live by, lol. I'd love to pick through your templates so I can get a better grasp on Iwaku's style of divs. Though, from what I can tell, it's just CSS in div tags.

Basically, yeah - Some of the wording is a little different, but it's fairly easy to figure out if you understand CSS already :)
 
Damn, the more I read and analyze the more dysfunctional this group appear to be lol. Everyone has parents problems, everyone's got issues, everyone's self-destructive to a degree. You people need serious therapy.
