Mama, I'm in love with a Criminal

Elise sighed as she followed Gabriel up the stairs once more, she took her dressgown off and place it on the chaise lounge next to the bed, running a hand through her hair once more before lying down in bed next to Gabriel, she cuddled close to him and allowed him to hug her, she smiled weakily when he kissed her forehead "Goodnight" She replied, she looked up at him and kissed his cheek. "I love you" She whispered softly, hoping it was something he wanted to hear as she placed her head back down on his shoulder and put her hand over his heart, she doubt she would be able to sleep, so she laid where she was and stared straight ahead of her at the wall for a while.

She hoped everything would be better in the morning, that everything would have calmed down and that everyone would have came up with some sort of a plan for how they were going to tackle it all, she sighed to herself before she shut her eyes once more, trying her best to fall asleep, taking a few deep breaths once more.

((I guess that we can move to the next day, right?))

Gabriel didn't fall asleep before Elise even though his eyes were closed and he tried really hard. It took him some time to convince his conscience to give up thinking about the issue and get some rest. However, it wasn't a good night sleep because Gabe kept on waking up on any slight sound. Yes, he was afraid that while he would be sleeping they might come for her. He didn't want to wake up in the morning without seeing Elise. God knows if he would wake up after their visit.

After such a night, when Gabriel woke up again and knew that falling asleep wasn't something that would happen, he lied in the bed a bit longer watching Elise. No wonder, the japanese wanted her for himself. Who wouldn't. He sighed as he recalled the memory of him and his opponent in one room. He told him to destroy him if he wants Elise. He should have been more careful with his words back then. He shouldn't have said that after all that was part of the reason why he was in this mess. But it was too late to change the past or anything else that happened.

Gabriel quietly sat up on the edge of the bed. It was cold in the room but he barely noticed it. His eyes were shut and once more he was thinking how to get rid of Triada. Gabriel's gang wasn't that big to be compared with them, yet it was big enough to rule the city and that was something he was proud of. Seeing his authority being destroyed made Gabe angry and desperate at the same time. If Triada would succeed and eventually took over his business and Elise, there would be no doubt that everyone, and he meant EVERYONE, would forget about him and turn their eyes upon new, powerful leader. This fight was fight of dignity and pride. He just couldn't lose. Couldn't...

Elise awoke when she felt Gabriel slip out of the bed, she stayed still but opened her eyes slowly,s he listened to his breathing for a few moments before pushing the covers forward and moving forward in the bed to sit down next to Gabriel, she slipped her hand into his and gave it a light squeeze, she stayed silent for a few moments before looking up at him once more. "I won't let him take me" She whispered. "I belong to you, and you alone" She glanced at the floor, saying her well learnt words, being careful with what she said.

"We will get through this, you and me, we're stronger than this" She reminded him. "I won't leave your side until this is over, no matter what the cost is" She said, knowing work would be furious at her if she didn't turn up for a few days, and no doubt her mother would have a fit in the middle of it all. "You're better than him, Gabriel" She told him "Don't let anyone tell you differnet, this is nothing but a man who is envious of you, who sees you as an enemy and a threat" She said, she looked up at him once more, giving his hand another light squeeze "You'll all come up with something, I'll help if I can, though I don't see how much use I'll be, given the fact I'm the problem" She said with a sigh.

She glanced at the wall before turning to look at him, still keeping ahold of his hand "I did mean what I said before I went to sleep" She said "I do love you, with every fibre of my being" She told him "And don't you ever forget it, because it will take a whole lot more than some stupid man to take me from you" She said, she kissed his cheek softly. "A whole lot more" She said once more, she smiled weakily at him "We just need to get over his hurdle" She told him "We get through this, then my mother won't be a problem" She said softly.

Gabriel smiled and held Elise's hand. "He won't care if you belong to me or not. He will take you even if you fight like a tiger," he said honestly and sighed. It was true. Those people never cared about anything. He was like that once too. It felt good for a while before he got the emotion of being a tyran and thief. Then he had stopped and never done it again. All her words were nice and he liked listening to them. It made him stronger inside knowing that there was truly someone by his side, who didn't care what comes afterwards. The most important thing was here and now, consequences were something you could overlook.

"Stop blaming yourself, Elise" he said sharply and gave her look of the same manner. It took him few seconds to understand that he overreacted. He sighed and hugged Elise, "I am sorry for that. It's just that this doesn't help at all. It only makes me feel worse," he hugged her tightly not wanting to let her go but he had to after while otherwise he would strangle her accidentally.

"I love you too," he whispered. He wasn't sure if he told her before but at this moment he meant it like never before. He held her hand and caress it. "You know, as I said before, this guy doesn't care. He might storm into the house, kill everyone, kidnap you and then you'll never see a proper light again. He would keep you locked up and..." he couldn't carry on. Any other image of what could happen to her hurt his heart and feelings. "But I will protect you with all I have and can do. However, your closest bodyguard will be Grey. You are going to spend most of your time with him because I will make plans with Jack and Peter. Grey will try to entertain you and do anything you want. Don't be afraid to give him orders, he will obey," Gabriel added and smiled at Elise.

"I think that we should get dressed and have breakfast, a really good one to get us started for the day," giving Elise kiss on the forhead, Gabriel stood up and went to change into something casual.

"I know you will" Elise replied. "It'll be nice to have someone to order around" She told him with a soft smile, she watched as he spoke, shutting her eye for a second when he kissed her forehead, she couldn't help but smile slightly brighter after that.

She stood up and headed over to her duffle bag, undoing the lock and opening the bag, looking through her clothes and picking a suitable outfit she quickly changed into it before heading over to the vanity and sitting down infront of the mirror, taking her hair brush and doing her hair, slipping it up into a bun, keeping it out of her face, putting the last bobby pin and slipping it into her hair, standing up and fixing her dress once more, keeping her coat on, she looked in the mirror and sighed before slipping it off and placing it on her arm, she walked over to Gabriel and kissed his cheek "I'll see you down stairs, I'm sure Carson has made sure that breakfast is ready" She said, knowing how the older butler like everything to 'run like clockwork' She smiled at him softly before turning on her heel and heading out of the room.

"I'll save you a seat" She called as she headed across the landing before walking down the staircase, keeping ahold of one of the railings as she walked, careful not to fall as she then walked down the next set of stairs before coming off at the ground floor, fixing her coat, she placed it on the hook next to the door, just incase she would need it.

She walked into the dinning room and smiled when she saw Carson waiting "I had the cook make your favourites, Elise" He said with a smile "Oh, thank you, Carson, this is exactly what I need to cheer me up" She said, she walked over to her seat on the left hand side of the head seat, she allowed Carson to pull her chair out for her before she sat down, she glanced at Gabriel's usual seat on the left "He's just right behind me, he won't be long" She said to the older man with a soft smile.

She started to put the fruit into her bowl before she started eating, taking a few small sips of her orange juice as she did so, she crossed her legs and kept her back straight as she eat. "Where's the others?' She asked Carson softly.

Carson smiled and poured tea or coffee, depends on what Elise liked more, into her cup. "As far as I know, Grey already had his breakfast and is in lounge now. Jack and Peter are still asleep but I should wake them up soon," he said, smiled once more and left the room.

Outside the sun was shining. However, leaves were falling down from the trees reminding that the autumn would soon turn into winter. The clock in the lounge hit half past seven. Carson came back into the room and put a fresh cup of coffee on the table. Soon after that, Peter came in. Once he saw Elise sitting by the table having her breakfast and realizing that his seat was off to her right, his face showed an unhappy emotion. He didn't even bother to say good morning. Peter just sat down and started his breakfast.

Elise glanced over at Peter, she could tell he didn't like her, but she knew she had to be a good 'hostest' she turned around and smiled softly. "Sleep well?" She asked softly as she took her cup of tea and took a small sip before placing it back down on the table once more and cutting into her fruit salad, placing a piece of strawberry in her mouth and chewing softly.

She silently prayed that Gabriel would be down soon, hopefully sooner rather than later, she didn't want to be stuck alone with Peter for much longer. The housekeeper, Mrs Hughes, slipped into the room and coughed softly to get Elise's attention "Yes, Mrs Hughes?" She asked the older woman "M'lady, a letter arrived for you this morning, I believe it's from Melody" Elise's face automatically brightened at the mention of her Goddaughter "Thank you, Mrs Hughes" She said, taking ahold of the letter and opening it, pulling out the postcard and the photo, smiling to herself. Her friends and goddaughter had been visiting New York and sent her a postcard and a photo.

"Hmm," Peter replied eating his scrambled eggs. Obviously, he wasn't in talkative mood. However, when Elise's letter came in, it attracted his attention enough to put down his spoon and give Elise an unpredictable look. "Who is she?" he almost barked out, looking severely at Elise. It was obivous that for some reason he didn't like the fact that Elise received a letter. The question was, why? Almost at the same moment as Peter asked Elise, Grey came in wearing basically the same clothes as yesterday. Hopefully, this one was clean.

"I've seen a postman coming to the house. Anything special has arrived?" Grey asked but once he saw Peter's face and an open envelope by Elise's side, even his face got a bit of suspicious expression. Nevertheless, Grey asked more gently and friendly than Peter did, "Who is it from, Elise?" Grey was curious but he also didn't like the fact that someone from the outside could contact Elise. Not that it put the sender in danger, but it also put in danger the house and its inhabitants.

((I am sorry that my posts have been shorter recently. For some reason, I can't fin my muse >.>))

Elise turned her head and glared at Peter as he barked at her, she shook her head, ready to shout back at the man when Grey walked in, she looked down at the photo once more before glancing up at Grey. "Jennifer and Melody, my best friend and my Goddaughter" She told him. "If you both don't mind, I think I'll have breakfast in the study" She said, she stood up and glared at the man sitting next to her before picking up her bowl of fruit "Carson, can you carry my tea in for me?" She asked softly, she kept the photo and the postcard in her hand as she headed out of the room.

She walked down the hallway into the study before sitting down at the car behind the desk, she sighed, placing her bowl down, she dropped the letter and photo onto the table, looking down at her smiling Goddaughter, the idea of someone hurting her, it killed her. Melody was like a daughter to Elise, everyone knew that, even if they didn't know Elise well, she had always been fond of the child. She placed her hand on her forehead and took a deep breath before looking up, waiting for Carson to come in with her tea

[It's fine]

Carson walked in few second after Elise, so did Grey. As the butler put down her cup and got lost, Grey sat down on the couch and made himself comfortable. "Before you kick me out, I have to remind you that I am your babysitter so I can't leave," he said as a matter of fact and looked around. He looked relaxed like nothing catastrophic was happening, he even started to hum some melody when the silence got too thick. However, Grey was never a patient person, so once something caught his attention he just couldn't let go until he knew everything that was possible.

"Who is the letter from? I am asking because this person might be in a great danger right now. Once someone know where you are and how to keep in touch with you, not just Triada can track the post and get to them. I am saying this only because Gabe could make some calls and make them secure," he said and leaned forward as he was sitting. Who knows, how many of his words were true and what he used just to convince Elise to tell him. Nonetheless, Melody might be in danger if any of his words were true.

Elise's hand dropped from her forehead and landed on the table with a bang "Do you not think I know that, Grey!" She hissed "Do you not think that I know that simply by being here I'm putting everyone I love in danger?' She asked. "I will deal with Melody, I will make sure she's safe" She told Grey "Because if anyone lays a finger on her, you can trust me, I'll kill them with my bare hands, till my dying breath" She said before getting up, dropping the photo and letter down on the table once more. She leaned back against the chair, looking out of the window.

"Melody's mum Jennifer sent it" She said, in a much softer voice, looking out of the window. "Jennifer doesn't know about Gabriel's business" She infromed him. "If she did, I'd probablly never see Melody again" She said, she ran a hand through her hair. "They're in New York at the Madison Plaza, they're flying back tomorrow at noon" She said "I'm meant to be meeting them at the airport, Jennifer will know that somethings wrong if I don't show up" She said, she looked down at the floor, taking a deep breath "I'm sorry for losing my cool, Grey" She said. "But this is harder than anyone can ever imagine" She said, she covered her face with her hands.

Grey wasn't quite surprised by her outburst. They all had been under a big pressure since yesterday but it must have been 100% worse for someone who wasn't really involved in the bussiness. So he let her tell him what she had on heart and saved his words until she was finished.

"That's ok. You don't have to apologize," he said and shrugged before leaning back in the couch. From the next room where breakfast was held, voices could be heard. Probably, Gabriel, Peter and Jack got together and started to make their plans while eating. "Well, I don't know how we could solve the trouble with tomorrow because you're not suppose to leave the house. Maybe if you try to talk to Gabe he might make an exception but I am not really sure about that as long as this is all about your safety so letting you out might be dangerous even if I go with you," Grey added and somehow it seemed that even he was thinking about the best way how to help Elise. Why he did it remained a mystery.

"I won't go"Elise said "No one can tell me that they aren't following me, but I want someone to go, I want to escort them home, or at least follow behind, and someone to keep an eye on the house, I could never forgive myself if..." She mummbled as she looked at the floor, she looked up at Grey once more before saying "Do you know what Gabriel said with that man asked for me?" She asked softly.

She didn't want for an answer. "He said he would have to destory him to get me, and that's what he's doing, I will not allow him to tear my and Gabriel's lives apart" She said. "Is there not some way of dealing with this?" She asked "I can't live forever in fear of some man coming after me" She sighed softly and circled the desk, leaning back against it. "Do you know how hard it is?" She asked "Loving someone so much, and knowing you can most likely never have a solid future with them" She said, she shut her eyes as she spoke. "A marriage, children.." She said "That's what I wanted for us, we can hardly have that now, this is just an example why" She said.

"Well, I think that it might make Gabriel change his mind and he might send some of our man to secretly look after your relatives. But you need to talk to him about it," Grey suggested and then considered the idea himself as if he wasn't sure. After all, he should know how Gabriel would react but sometimes it was pretty hard. Before he could answer her other question, she had already done it herself and Grey just nodded.

"What I think that will happen is that Gabriel will try to negotiate with the man. If that won't help, he will send someone to kill him and he will keep doing so until he succeeds," Grey was honest. "However, as far as I am concerned he should send some assassin straight away. The talk will only prolong this whole situation," he admited and shrugged once more. However, Elise's next question surprised him quite a lot. Did he really ever loved anyone that much? Yes, he did and still does and it occured to him that Elise's situation is quite similar to his, though, his lover didn't know about his affection and it was maybe better that way.

"I guess, it must be really hard," he said as if he didn't know himself how it can tear you apart from the inside. How it hurts when you can't do anything about it. Grey supressed his feelings, remaining emointionless.

Elise sighed softly "We can talk to him, he'll come up with something, Gabriel always does anyway" She said, she moved off the desk and walked over to sit down next to Grey, she smiled weakily 'Thank you for listening to me, Grey" She told him softly "Most people generally don't listen to me" She said, she looked down at her lap, placing her hands together, she sighed as she leaned back, looking over at him. "I'm lucky to have you to babysit me, most don't" She said softly. "I think you'll come in handy, it'll be nice to have someone to talk to, who I can actually talk to about Gabriel" She said, she sighed softly, taking a shakey breath.

"Mother knows about him, about the business" She said "She's far from happy, I think it might be best to send someone to keep an eye on her, even if we aren't on speaking terms" She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "She threatened to disown me if I don't give him up, it makes it all sound rather childish if you ask me, making a grown woman decide" She said softly.

"You know what, I think we need a drink" She said, standing up and heading to the mini fridge, pulling out a bottle of water "Would you like a coffee?" She asked, glancing at the coffee maker next to the fridge

[Um..I'm not really sure. Unless you want to play Jennifer, who won't come into the roleplay until later. But if you're okay with it, I think it might be good if you play Elise's mother, perhaps she comes to say sorry to Elise]

[Ok, I am going be quiet until alliasa's character will get sorted out otherwise your discussion might get lost in the game ;) ]
