Maid From Hell

Darcy glared at the girl, confirming that the story was true.

"I couldn't help myself. Working is just what I do. What i've learned to do well ever since I ran out of my own house due to abuse. I was put in an orphanage and forced to work there all my life on a low salary that couldn't even pay for loaf of bread until I got two paychecks. It was bad. When I got wind of the ad he had put out, I was estatic. I would have a great place to live, food at the table, clothes to wear...Stuff I didn't have working at the orphanage. So I put my heart and soul into impressing him. That is how I am here today. Because I earned it by working myself to the bone." She went along with her master's lie, making up a pretty elaborate one herself. It seemed, though, to help the young lady back off her case a little.

She ate the rest of her food and waited for her master to be done with this meeting of his. She wasn't much fond of overly anal people. She awaited the time when he would be done with this meeting of his.

Franklin noticed the tention bettwen the two girls. He was about to say something to stop the little battle but insted darcy played along with his white lie. She told a tall tale of a girl that started with nouthing and with the luck of a paper and spirt she would rise to the top of an elegant life. He was impressed with her story but now he could see the young laddys face get a sour look at the end of the story. As they contuine to eat the food every one eventualy became full of food and every one had left. Franklin followed darcy to her room to see if she has kept it clean like how it was before she started to work for him. In a low tone so no one could hear him but darcy, he said
"fantastic idea with the story but i wish to ask you some thing. Did your story have some truth to it? most people tell storys from one moment of there life."

Darcy laughed.

"Oh no Sir...It was all a lie. All of it. Remember? I am a demon. My parents did not abuse me and I did not work in an orphanage at all. I've always had enough money, that is, until I was kicked out of Hell...."

She had always been great at making up elaborate stories, a fancy way of saying lie. She did it to her parents a lot. They knew she would lie to them, but they couldn't care less. As long as their daughter didn't get killed, they couldn't care less about what she did. Her parents weren't abusive, just a bit neglectful.

She led sir Franklin to her room. Opening the doors, she revealed the spotless room. She always had a habit of making her bed and cleaning her room the first moment she woke up. Even after a nap. Her parents had drilled it into her. So there was no way her room would be a mess. Not if she had anything to say about it.

He inspected her room slightly becuase he knew it was cleaner than expected. but this wasint his true reason to be in darcys room. He wanted to ask darcy more questions about her life. Franklin sat in one of the tables looking tired and relaxed at the same time. He looked at her and said
"i want to know you a little bit more. From the story you told it looks like you know how to get away with allmost any thing becuase my gut told me you werent lieing. So it means you must know how to lie quite well. Also id like to know how you got in truoble with humans."

He wanted to know more about the deamoness but he knew it was risky to ask about this.

Darcy sighed, sitting on her bed. She might as well spill the beans. She looked over at him, throwing her legs up onto the bed and laying down.

"Well, I'm quite old, my parents older. I appear to be 20 when in reality I am about 100 years old. I learned to lie well because I had to throw off even my parents. It worked sometimes, but not all the time. I had to throw them off sometimes because, well, that is what all teenagers do so they don't get into trouble. I have no siblings and I did have a fiance who tried to kill me off about 3 times. Those attempts failed and so he framed me for going above and got me kicked out of hell. How I first came upon humans, you ask? Well, as teenagers do, they do dumb things and get curious about dumb things. I got curious of the human world and decided to check it out. I got caught by my fiance and was thus forced out of Hell into the human world for 100 years. This is my sentence for committing a crime. That is about it...."

She had explained her exciting life. Well, it wasn't that exciting. But she hoped it cleared the air for Franklin.

"You are to tell no one about this, are we clear sir? If you do, the ones you tell will be in great danger of misfortune falling upon them"

"i see, dont worrie i know how to stay quite about things. Now i came ask about your life so i can see where you have came from. Now its my turn to explain my life and how i got to working here. I was the oldest kid of my family, my parents got into argueements everyday. Id take care of my brother while my parents went out to bars, clubs, etc. most of the time they would be fighting so my brother would sleep in my room. Id go out and work to save money. Most of the time the minners would give kids my age shuvels to start digging a pit. One day i wanted to work over time for some extra money. I hit a strange rock and there was alot of it, so i took it home and hid it from every one. I got to a gem expert and i found out i found piles and piles of silver in the pit. he bought from me for about $10,000,000. it was pure silver, so i kept working over time untill i had enough money to move out with my brother. Once we got older i bought out the company and i strated discovering many pits full of silver and gems. I ran the compy for about 7 years and i meet you. now, do you any more questions? becuase ive left many detales out."

Darcy listened, fascinated at Franklin's story. He was so lucky to be able to hit paydirt like that. She didn't consider herself lucky at all. Her parents told her they loved her, but she didn't feel that way. She wished they would care more about what she did, you know. Being an actual pair of parents. But instead, they always drank and messed around. It made her sick.

"No sir, that's all I was curious about..."

She walked over to her father's statue and caressed the face softly as if she were touching his actual face. She wished she was loved. She felt like she had never been loved. Not once. Maybe demons didn't deserve it. Maybe Demons had no right to love.

He watched her and she was thinking about something in the back of her mind. He could see it but he woundered what it is. She told him she had no more questions but franklin was starting to think that he was about to have more questions for her. She walked up to the figure of her father ans started to touch it on the cheak of it. His gut told him to try something but he was afraid to try. He decided to listin to it like he allways has. He walked up to her and put his arms around her, He got close to her, Then he huged her tightly
"it felt like a personal issue for you so my gut told me you needed a hug."

Darcy was thrown off by Franklin's next move. A hug? Where did that come from? He said it was his gut feeling huh? Like she believed that, but she did feel like the hug helped. She blushed slightly, smiling softly and closing her eyes, taking in Franklin's warmth and thoughtful action.

"Thank you Franklin...I really needed that...I was spacing out for a minute there. Thanks..."

She couldn't tell Franklin the real reason she was spacing out. She didn't want to sound too emotional and she didn't want to show her emotions to him. Of all people, not to her new employer. She wanted him to think she was invincible. Someone he could always count on to not back down and to always protect him. One that didn't let her emotions get the best of her. She gently pushed franklin back.

"Thanks again, but can I be alone? I have many things to think on. I will be ok after a few moments of peace..." That was a lot to ask of him, seeing as how she was his personal maid and how she might have tons more things she needed to do for him, but if he would be nice enough to grant this one small request of her's then she would be forever in his debt.

Franklin was glad that his gut had givin him the right move. He knew it was unprofossional but he knew it would help darcy in her moral. She seemed to enjoy but hid it from him. She asked to be alone for some moments alone. Frankiln was a bit supprised that she said this, but he let go of her and placed his hand on her shoulders. "i cant do that, but tell you what. Ill give you the whole day off untill tonight. you and me are going to visit one of the pits latter. If you happened to be finish sooner than please, come by to my office or explore the grounds again." He winked at her and walked off to the door slowly closeing it. He walked down the halls and seen some of the maids mubbleing to each other. He knew it looked wrong but it was appropeate.

Darcy bowed as she walked out of his room, answering his request.

"I will explore the grounds again Sir...I"ll see you later tonight..." The whole day off? Was he mad? She didn't want the whole day off, she just wanted a chance to be alone for a while. A couple hours would suffice for the maid. She walked out of his room and downstairs to the door to the balcony outside the door.

The backyard that Franklin had always seemed to calm her down, just by looking at it. Maybe this world would be better than Hell. Of course it would. If she ended up falling for Franklin, then so be it. She would lose her demon powers, but she didn't care. Being a demon wasn't at all as it was cracked up to be. Some demons talked about how about being a demon was ten times better than being a useless human.

But She was in the world of useless humans and it seemed to her that she was the one bowing and taking commands from a useless human. To demons this would be a disgrace. But to her, she didn't mind. It was a change. A change she was willing to accept. She walked down the stairs. When she reached the bottom however, she heard rustling in the bushes by this huge fence that covered the whole of his place.

"Hello? Who's there?"

~No no no no no no no no. NO!~ The young child thought. ~I knew I shouldn't have gotten closer! Damn bird!~ The child thought bitterly.
"GET THAT DAMN BRAT!" An older man of 36 yelled with a rustle of several men behind him. A scream of an young woman of 25 pierced the air, a satisfied grin on the child's face came afterwords. ~Job computed.~
SHOOOOOO! A high pitch whistle went pasted barely getting her arm but still did, blood started gushing out as a scream was choked back also. ~Ow.~ tears started to form but still running faster and faster by the second, the gun still hold firmly in hand. ~I must find somewhere to hide they're stating to caught up and I can't get caught in this state. But at lest they don't know what I look like.~ An evil grin appeared as the child pulled down the hat and hooddie farther. A huge gate and house came in view it would have been studding to look at but there was no time to except to get in and hide for dear life.
Getting in was easy where to hide well that was a bit harder since everything was in the open and from one point of view or another you could see, everything. A brush caught her eyes it was surrounded by trees but a bit close to the house but it had to do. Her landing wasn't as easy or that quiet then again it was in a hurry and the child was in great pain.
~Ow. Why does it hurt so much it barely hit me?~ The child looked at the wound it was bleeding bad, pretty deep, red and swollen, the bullet was covered in poison. ~Shit.~ "Hello? Who's there?" A sweet but sharp voice broke the silence. ~Oh no. Just stay quite, just stay quite that's all you got to do wait until she's gone then relocate.~ The child thought and try not to make a sound.

Darcy sniffed the air. Her demon nose was weakening from being up in the human world, but it still worked, much to her suprise. She searched the area to see what kind of being had invaded her and Franklin's territory. From the smell of the creature, she barely had the scent of a demon, yet she barely had the scent of a human. What was this child? She walked out into the courtyard and searched quietly, so she wouldn't disturb the child.

When the smell faintly got stronger and stronger, she knew that she was right in front of the child. She laughed.

"It's ok my dear child. You don't have to be afraid of me. I'm just a lowly demon who got kicked out of Hell for fraterinizing with humans. I would much like to hear your story...." She reached into the bushes, pulling the child out of the brush. She looked over the child. She seemed to be hurt. That was the horrible stench coming off of her. The smell of blood never was her favorite smell. Darcy smiled and picked up the child with no trouble at all.

"Let me take you to Master Franklin. Don't worry, he is a nice man and he won't punish you for sneaking onto our property. Especially when your hurt..."

With that, she headed up to Franklin's office. Knocking on the door, the demon child still in hand, she bowed.

"Master Franklin, I have found a wayward child who needs medical attention quickly. IT seems that she has been shot and also, from the smell of her blood, it seems she has been poisoned as well..."

Franklin Was in his room looking at the pappers in his room and got a little bored and removed most of his suit off. Fresh air, it felt good when he dosent have his suit on but he still had his long sleve shirt on. He started to play music on the radio and walked around looking at his items slowly intill he was interupted by a knocking at the door. He quickly rushed to his radio and turned it off as soon as possable. He walked to his door to darcy holding the hand of a young child. She bowed and anounced "Master Franklin, I have found a wayward child who needs medical attention quickly. IT seems that she has been shot and also, from the smell of her blood, it seems she has been poisoned as well..."

He blinked to the child and said "Oh my darcy, your handleing this quite well. lets walk him down to my medical area and make sure he is not afraid that we are going to pull a serious surgery on him." Franklin closed his doors and helds the childs other hand and walked them to the medical room wich was suppriseingly next to franklins room. He burts open the doors and said "I need doctors and venom specialits quickly, this injury looks like its been for a few hours from the look of the bruse."

The child look up seeing a pretty woman but she didn't appeared to be angry or carrying a weapon. Sunglasses still hid the child's eyes making everything more blurry and dark as the child was fading in and out of concision trying to stay focused and awake but to no avail. The words that she spoke was in mumbles and parts as she leaned down to pick the kid up as the kid struggle to get out of her grip but lost.
"I . . . can . . relocated. . give . . . few . . . minu . .s. . . " The child's voice was low and sluggish and barely able to make out any of the words. The woman either ignored or didn't hear but just carried the child, away her arms felt strong but safe. ". .warm. ." The word slip though the child's mouth.
The last thing the kid can remember is a man voice and a warm hand holding the other one before blackness took over.
(Out of story but she is a girl Darcy probably knows but she is a girl but she's hiding it or trying to anyways. Okay that's it just wanted to clear that up just in case, sorry.>////>)

Darcy watched as doctors and venom specialists gathered around the girl, taking blood samples and injecting anti-venom to get rid of the poison. The doctor stitched up the wounds she had and looked to Franklin.

"You must keep a sharp eye on this young girl. She has lost a lot of blood and may be weak for a few months as her red blood cells grow back. Keep her here until she has fully recovered. We will compensate you for her food, shelter and clothing if need be..."

Darcy shook her head. She would have to babysit? She wasn't keen on doing that, but if it was Master Franklin's wish, then she would do so without complaint. She walked over to the unconcious child, moving a stray piece of hair aside.

"You'll be safe from now on. No more running away, ok?" As she looked at the child more and more, she began to grow a little more attached to the child. Who was she? Was she human? Was she demon? Was she a half child? She speculated that she might be a hybrid, but she had to talk to Franklin about it and, when she woke up, she had to talk to her as well. She walked over to master Franklin, whispering into his ear.

"Sir, I suggest you do as he says. She needs our help. Well...my help. Don't tell him this, but I suspect she may be a half demon and if that is the case, she needs to stay here, otherwise, demons will be after her to erase her existence. For a demon and human to mate is a horrendous crime that is punishable by death. It is the same for the child that is born out of this kind of love...leave her here and I can protect her..."

It was a tall order for her. Watching over both her master and the child, but she had her ways of making things work.

The doctors did exactly what franklin wanted. He watches the doctors work on the young girl as they inject her and patch her up. Franklin was glad to help a young child. He watched darcy and he noticed that she was inspecting the child deeply. Darcy walked up to frankin and explained what she was thinking about the child. He slightly smiles makeing sure the doctors dont see him with the grin. He signals darcy to follow him into her room.

Once in the room it was his turn to talk to darcy in a low voice so only darcy could her with her demon senses.
"Looks like im going to soon house unwanted demons. who knows? i might even start houseing fallin angels, though theres a good reason there not in heaven any more" He smiles at darcy to show he is playing around. "Any who, very well we will keep this young girl in the house untill she has fully healed. Then you and me will disscuss what we will do afterwords. As you said, poeple are after her since shes a half. We will disscuss her protection, her secret identiy, and see if she has family. Also since she is a high target we will keep her with me at all times becuase if they kill any one in there way......they will kill me signaling a huge delema among the economy and people will be in rage for my death and silver. Then they will serch for the killers and well.......i dont know what to do after that."

Her arm ached horrible and her body felt heavy, bright lights came unwelcoming as her crimson and gold eyes fluttered opened taking in the room. The first thing she notice was she was in a hospital on a operating table, second she was surrounded by doctors with sharp pointy objects and lastly her sunglasses, hat and old clothes were gone along with her gun. So she did what anyone would do flip out and try to run away. ~They're going to try to experiment on me again. LIKE HELL THEY WILL!~
One of the doctors notice her awaken and walk towards a door knocking loudly. "Sir she's awa. . . " The girl quickly stood up her body still heavy and in pain but ignored it as she grabbed the closest chair and flung it at him knocking him out on the spot. The other doctors finally noticed her after hearing the cracking of a chair. They all thought she was under shock due from the poison and try to calm her down but it had the opposite affect.
The closer they came towards her the more scared she became, panic took over as she looked to escape and found a window. It was risky but she didn't care she was terrified and would do anything to get away from here. Anything. She flung her small body towards the window opening it as she climbed on the window looking down. The sun was giving out it's last strikes of light as the wind blew back her long bloody red hair with natural black strikes that hasn't been cut in years. She was on the second floor and on any other day this drop would have been a piece of cake but today she was shot, poison, beaten and tired so this was a 50 50 shot on surviving or not. She didn't give it another thought and jumped out of the window letting the fates decide.

Darcy held her finger out to Franklin as she could hear the young child wake up and cause chaos. Apparently, she didn't like humans. Darcy sighed, speeding outside as fast as she was able. Rounding the corner fast, she could see that the half demon child had tossed herself out the window.

"Ugh...teenagers..." she raced up the wall with lightning speed and caught the falling half demon girl. She quickly returned to the ground, looking at the half demon child and shaking her head.

"It's ok...they won't hurt you. They were trying to help you so the poision wouldn't kill you. Your lucky to be alive child. Any further and you would have died for sure...Calm down and come back inside..." She held onto the child firmly so she couldn't escape and walked back inside. Once inside, she walked up the stairs and to her room. She closed the door behind her and locked it.

"Now, child, this is Sir Franklin. He has willingly agreed to provide you food, shelter and clothing until you have recovered...I know what you are and will not tolerate bad behavior! I do not want to have to treat you like a toddler, but I will if necessary. You got it?" Darcy never really learned how to talk to children, but she hoped that the adolescent had heard and understood her.

He had seen darcy put her finger out that signaled for silence. He tryed to litstin but all he heard was the wind blowing against the windo like a force trying to breack through. He knew darcy could hear more since she is full demon. He watched her as she uses her inhanced sencies. She rushes out the windo to grab the child before she fell to the ground.

Dacry enterd the room with the little girl and she explained the plan to the half blood she was abit rough on the young girl. Franklin decided to try to talk to the girl hopeing that she understands everything. "What she means is your going to live here from now on but we need to find your family. You better be good or we will have some trouble ok? Now how are you feeling right now young laidy?" Franklin pats her head hopeing that he didint go to far with his small talk with the half blood.
