(I'm back and at full strength. Let's get to work everyone)

(Hell yeah :D. I was waiting for you to come back, and waiting for you to write again. Turns, you know :D.)

((@Zeon it's all yours then. btw let's calm down on the ooc until we've had more IC posts. I'm not much for separate threads for ooc))

Randall looked around. There were several kids in the room, and Randall was looking forward to forward to fighting them. A 7 foot man was in front of the trainees. ''Today... you will train. You will compete to become ruler of these continents! If you want to rule the earth, try your hardest. Show no mercy.'' The man paced around the room. ''My name is Arthur Baesar, and I am to help you with this task. Follow me to the arena.'' Everyone, including Randall, followed Arthur to a large coliseum-like building. ''This is where we are going to spar and battle. Speaking of which, we are going to spar today for training. Understood?''

''UNDERSTOOD!'' shouted everyone. Holy crap. Holy freaking crap. We're gonna fight today. Randal felt something spark inside of him. This always happened when he did something competitive. The instructor pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket. ''I am holding, in my hand, the matchups for today's sparring. First will be Randall Tempest vs Ren Alvarez. Follow me into the arena, please.''

Both Randall and Ren seemed to be pumped about this. The first time they were going to fight for real. ''Okay. Both of you are going to fight each other. Keep everything clean. Anything I see as foul will result in a loss in the whole tournament. I will call when someone wins when I think someone has won. Go!'' The boys ran out into the field. Ren was Verianoz, Randall could do this... Activating his Zephyr magic, he floated into the air and shot a gust toward the incoming fireball Ren had thrown. Randall darted to the side and shot a bolt of plasma at Ren, which had landed squarely on his chest and had knocked him back. Ren threw a very quick fireball and made a tiny gash on the side of Randall's face. He decided to take it back to the ground and blew Ren to a wall with a very strong wall of wind and shot a blast of flames at him.

''Stop! Great job, Randall. That was a good show of Zephyr magic you performed there. That is a very ancient and powerful magic. You may come back here. Alright... Next matchups are Alex Amaya and David Sudari.'' said Arthur, as Ren stood at the wall, wide eyed, covered in soot. Randall was already almost back up.

"Alright... Next matchups are Alex Amaya and David Sudari," said the giant in charge of training.

Alex greeted the news with his usual sigh. He had kept near the back of the group, so as to not draw too much attention to himself. Along with that, Alex wasn't a huge fan of crowds. He looked ahead of him to see the person that he'd be fighting. He was a stocky man, only standing at 5'7'', but looking like he weighed somewhere upwards of 250 pounds. On his back he had multiple weapons, the most intimidating among them a large greatsword. On his hips, he had sheathes for what looked like two more swords. Oh, great. It's a weapon-user. Of course it is. Alex worked his way through the crowd and onto the field to stand adjacent to David, where he had been waiting.

"Amaya, are you ready," asked the giant.

"Yup." Alex drew his short sword with his left hand. He had no intention of using, but in case his enemy got in close, Alex liked to have a fall back.

At this point, the chance for growth is pretty limited. All we'll do is lose possible advantages by showing how we fight. How bothersome. I wish we could have started the real fighting today.

"Sudari, are you ready?"

"Of course," David responded, already grabbing the greatsword at his back.

"Begin!"

Alex immediately began to back up as David drew his weapon all the way out. I need to put as much distance between us as possible. Alex created a gust of wind and aimed it towards David. David simply shrugged it off, realizing that it wasn't an attacking move, but a move of mobility. He rushed towards Amaya, holding his sword at the ready. His stance was passable, but nowhere near that of some of those that Alex had seen in the past.

Seeing his enemy rushing towards him, Alex was glad that he had moved back to begin with. Had he not, David would have already reached him, and it would have been over. He stopped the wind and crouched down, sword still drawn. He opened his right palm and faced it towards the ground. Instead of just a singular fireball, Alex created a stream of fire spewing from his hand. His intention was to light the field on fire and create a wall between his opponent and himself. He stood up and turned around in a circle, creating a ring of fire around him. Using his affinity for fire and wind, he combined the two to make the fire huge. They roared over ten feet into the air, and would continue to do so until Amaya or somebody else put them out. Magical fires could be dangerous.

With his ring complete, Alex sat back down, waiting for the inevitable sword strike that would come through the ring. Because David could no longer approach himself, he would have to swing blindly into the flame. When he strikes, it'll likely be horizontally. That way, he has a higher chance of hitting me. When he does, I'm going knock his sword out of his hands with a strong gust of wind.

Looking up, Alex saw the blade fly through the ring of flames. Mustering all the concentration he could get, he blew his strongest gust of soft wind up, hoping to knock the sword out of his hands. His gust hit, but his opponent had too tight a grip on the sword for it to go flying. Instead, it knocked both the sword and his hands up.

This is my chance. Calling on the power of his flames, he snuffed out the ring and dived towards his opponent. David was off balance from the gust of wind, and Alex had no issues grabbing his face.

"If you don't call the match now, Giant, I will murder him. A blast of fire to the face isn't too pleasant, or so I've heard," Alex shouted to the trainer.

"Winner, Amaya. You two may stop now," the giant shouted.

Alex let go of David and turned around to walk away. Behind him, he heard a quiet sob and the sound of a sword hitting the ground. Good. I hope he cries. At least that means he knows I've won. Pulling out a cigarette and walking to the back of the group, Amaya sat down and smiled to himself.

"Next matchup... Selvaria and Kisara."

((OOC: So, I'm sorry to do this after you didn't want us to, but I'm not really a writer. Should I have done something different with the fight? Anything I could have changed? Sorry to ask, but I do want to get better, too.))

((OOC: No. It's absolutely perfect, keep doing what you're doing. sorry I haven't been here all day. had stuffs to do))

"Next matchup... Selvaria and Kisara." The giant said, pointing to the two of them, then to the field.

Selvaria bowed to Kisara, before pulling out her sword, which started glowing a soft blue glow at the touch of her hand. Kisara pulled out her sword, engulfing it in flames.

"Are you ready?" The trainer shouted.

"Yes sir!" They both said. He motioned them to fight, and with that, Latirona used her extreme speed to close the gap, before thrusting her sword from the ground up, and knocking Kisara to the wall with ease. The fact that kisara had a sword made for blocking made it apparent what she would do.

Selvaria followed her attack with a quick dash over to Kisara as she stood back up from her knees. Striking her with enormous speed and force, Kisara was knocked into a pillar in the middle of the arena, causing it to fall over. Kisara couldn't move, but was still breathing.

"It's over. The victor is Selvaria." Arthur said.

Selvaria could hear whispers among some people in the far back. How could she win with only two hits? She never even used her staff. In truth, her staff was too powerful for any one person to wield, so she kept it on her back as decoration. As for her attacks, her sword was her power, gloves her force, and boots her speed. She walked back to where Randall and Alex were and took a seat.

((OOC: Next matchup is entirely npc. combatants are Sora, a battle ready tank of a kid, with a broadsword, and Oro, a dual-wield swordsman with light armor and extreme speed. Then comes full-on PvP. Message me for the way PvP will work.))

The next fight took place, and they watched as the two battled it out. In training, you couldn't get disqualified for losing, and nobody was allowed to take lives. The two battled it out for a while, trading blows after blows, until the agile Oro jumped over a piece of the broken pillar to strike Sora down, only to be blocked and knocked back a good bit, landing on his back.

They all knew it wasn't a career-ender for this match, but he still accepted the loss. After all, he didn't like dragging things on. "Winner, Sora." The trainer said, as Sora and Oro made their way back to the stands. It was getting to be the time of the first official combat of the Crucible.

"Everyone, please stop what you are doing, and make your way under the guidance of your trainers, to the main Arena," The Chairman started, with a loud, stern voice, that echoed across the entirety of the castle. "All of you thus far, have shown some tremendous ability as fighters, but from here to the end, your true test of skill begins. You have heard the stories of this event, so you all know that there will be death. As much as we try to prevent it, it is sometimes, inevitable. Therefore, please note that you all will be asked to try your hardest, as some of you do not care for your opponents, and will cut them down for good, if given the chance," The chairman paused, walking back and forth on the overlook which was connected to the emperors quarters.

"That being said, for those of you who face these particular people, it is in your best interest to end the match before your opponent ends you. This does not by any means, call for you to rush into battle blindly, as that is most often why people die in battle in the first place. Rules are as follows: When you are chosen for battle, you must battle your opponent. Any attempt to defy this will be taken as an act of forfeit. Battles will go until the Battlemaster, Aren Parsen, decides a victor is apparent, or until the loser is unconscious or dead. Keep all attacks, magic, and powers, inside the arena battle area at all times. If you take too long to attack, you will be considered stalling, and be disqualified. Other than that, more or less everything goes. Failure to follow these rules, will result in immediate disqualification, and escort out of the castle. Please make your way to the Arena now." The man said, returning to the castle interior. Selvaria started making her way behind the bulky trainer to the arena, hoping she was ready for the challengers on her path to empress.

Jinx sat in the stadium seating of the training arena when Sora and Oro's match ended. A needle with the loop hole in her mouth, rested between her lips gently, her elbows dug behind her kneecaps as covered hands provided a support for her head. Next to her sat a canister the size of a bug zapper with nails protruding all around it, around her waist were small metallic spheres attached to a belt, they had to be no bigger than 2 inches in diameter.

Standing Jinx was 4'7'' and wears a large cowl, the cowl is snow white with gray accents just like the rest of her attire, the cowl comes just below her waist and has sleeves that stop just above her calves. The sleeves of the jacket progressively become more open toward the end. Along with the jacket the little one bears short-shorts reaching half-mid-thigh, where a tiny gray pouch rests against her side strung through her belt loops. Her stockings are a black-brown color climbing their way up her leg halting just below her shorts, a nice white flattop shoe with a flap covering that wraps around her ankle to secure it. Jinx's facial features match that of a child despite her being over 24, but her eyes are a light red. Her hair is long, but is pulled back in a messy bun that droops slightly giving off an untidy yet adorable look, letting a bang grazing her collarbone hang on the side of her face. Along with her attire her hair is snow white as well. Jinx's skin is almost pale, but not quite she centers between pale and peach.

Jinx's full name is Jinx Arashi, age 24 from the Saoina continent. She is an adept user of explosives, choking wire, traps, and the useless "Infinite Backpack" magic, useless to all but her that is. Jinx is able to store anything of any size in any sort of storage using her magic. "So the real fight begins now?" Jinx stands up throwing her fist in the air. "Alright! I'm ready to go!" She picks up the canister and hops over the railing skipping to a stop and chases after the big man to the main arena, holding her arms out like an airplane mainly to keep from being pricked but also because she thought it was fun.

Following the announcement of the chairman, Alex stood up and left with the group heading to the arena. Though he had started the day somewhat reluctant to take part in the competition, he had since warmed up to the idea. Sparring always put him in a better mood, and he couldn't wait to start fighting for real. The group was led through the hallways into a large antechamber. There were seats and windows facing outwards so that the competitors that weren't fighting could watch the action.

Alex could feel the blood pulsing through his body. He could feel the excitement mounting throughout the group. He could feel his thoughts racing through his head. All of this could mean only one thing: Alex was preparing to kill somebody. He didn't care who at the moment, only that his blood lust was satiated. He wasn't going to fight to win. No, Alex was only there to do one thing. He was going to fight to kill. Once he got excited like this, it was hard for him to restrain himself from just attacking somebody in the group. He rarely felt like this, often behaving in quite the erudite fashion - silently reading books or practicing with his shortsword, but occasionally his body went into overdrive. His mind hungered for one thing and one thing only: Death. When he got like this, it was hard to control him, which is why he was sent to live alone when his parents were still alive. They lived at the castle, as did Alex, until something happened with one of the servants. Alex, for some reason that he didn't even know himself, murdered several of the other children that lived at the castle. Because it was during a sparring session, it was excused, but he was quickly sent away to make sure that it didn't happen again.

Looking around him, Alex knew that not everybody would make it out alive today, and he was very happy to see that was the case.

((OOC: Yeah, it would be fun. I'm curious to see who would win. Not going to lie, I've been thinking about battle strategy all day today :D.))

Death. This meant Randall, for all he knew, could die. He could never see his family again. Shaking his head, Randall walked through the hall, staring at the floor. He was scared beyond all imagination, and at the same time, starved for victory. He stared at Alex, who had put a very creepy smirk on. Uh oh. He looks like bad news. Very, very bad news. They arrived at the main arena to listen to further instructions. ''Everyone. Keep it as not clean, but dirty as you can in these battles. If you want to win, you must show no mercy to your enemies, but those who don't have the wits to fight will be torn apart horribly. not by us, but your opponents. Good day.'' and saying this, the Chairman walked away. Aren Parsen then led them to the much bigger arena with tons of field space.

Okay. Everyone is here. It's time to fight. Everyone marveled at the size of the place. Sitting down on the steps, Aren announced the first 2 fighters.
''Alex Amaya and Randall Tempest.'' Randall's eyes widened. He didn't want to kill anyone, much less be killed himself. Alex was exactly who he feared to fight. The way he threatened David...Suddenly, something pushed these thoughts aside. He had to show strength. Randall was now pumped with energy. Too much. He, like Alex, had one desire: To kill. ''Both of you may walk down to the arena.'' Randall floated upwards and shot towards the arena, malice in his soul, eyes, and blood.

(OOC: Well, dude, me and Aragwen were deciding on a good system, and she said that one must agree who wins, but I'll wait for her if she decides if we can use dice or another system.)

As Aren announced the first two fighting, Alex only got even more excited. "Alex Amaya and Randall Tempest"

"Both of you may walk down to the arena."

Beside him, Randall floated up and shot down to the arena, seeming excited for the fight. He's already seen me fight. I've seen him fight, too. Though, I doubt that either of us showed everything we can do. This'll be fun.

Walking down to the arena, Alex was impressed by the amount of people watching. There were huge stands surrounding the fighting arena with what must have been tens of thousands of people. All of them were cheering for the fight. Some had gathered to find out who would be the new, while others had come just to see the fights. Behind him, Alex heard the announcer say two more names.

"Along with the two just announced, we'll also be adding in two others, just to make things interesting. Jinx and Selvaria. You two may also head down to the arena."

Alex turned to look at the other two fighters that had been called down. Both were small women. He'd already seen Selvaria fight, and was impressed by her speed and ferocity. The other, shorter, girl was a mystery to him. Everyone had been called before she'd had a chance to fight. She could be dangerous. I'll have to watch her to see what she does.

Taking his position across from Randall, Alex drew his sword. Things were about to get interesting, and he could feel his blood pulsing even harder than before. I need to kill. I can't leave this arena without one death. Lets see if I can get all three of them. Though, an alliance may be a good idea at this point.

As the girls took their positions, Alex shouted over to Randall, "Hey, how about an alliance until these two are done? Then you and I can have some fun together. Sound good?"

((OOC: oops it will be 2v2. choose your sides everyone))

''Sure. Why not?'' Randall still wasn't letting his guard down. It was completely impossible to let this overpower of his mind go. He wouldn't calm until he won. He decided to target both girls instead of focusing on one. Shooting a bolt of lightning up in the air with his right hand and tossing a rather large inferno into the air with his left, Aren shouted ''GO!".

Randall jumped and shot a lightning bolt to propel him upwards. He then summoned a gust platform to stand on. Everyone's eyes were on the others.
Wait until they get a load of me... Randall jumped off of the platform and down for a 20-foot fall, shot to the wall, and jumped horizontally to the other wall to attack the girls. Pushing a wall of strong wind at Selvaria, he reached and hopped off the other wall to shoot a quick and effective fireball at Selvaria once again. He pushed off the wall he jumped to and rolled away from the trio. Fear me, he thought.

(Looks like our sides are chosen :D.)

Watching Randall fly about, Alex smiled a little bit. He'll be fun to murder.

As Randall was floating around and firing fireballs, Alex created a large sphere of wind about ten feet across. Since everybody was seperated by about twenty feet, he figured that this would be enough. Calling upon his power of water, he began releasing a large amount of it to get caught up in the wind. Because of the power of the gust, the water was caught up in it and floated to the outside. Once enough of it had gathered, he froze the water at the edge and created a large sphere of protection. From there, he created an opening facing a little bit away from the girls. It was just large enough for one of them to get through. Once that was done, he created a large sheet of ice on the ground in front of the opening. There, that way anybody that comes in will trip. And now, I suppose it's time to wait.

With his sword in his left hand, he stood in the middle of the sphere facing the entrance, prepared for somebody to come in.

((OOC: Is that too much? I can always scale it back if you'd like.

Selvaria brushed off the fireball, and jumped for a pillar. She summoned a large dragon which swirled into a rather big ball of fire, aimed for Randall. Firing away, it hit the ground far enough away to not hurt him, but that was enough for her. it was powerful enough to knock him against the wall, giving her time to focus on all opponents and any attacks they might make on her.

Jinx tumbles out of the way of Randall charge, landing on a knee her canister now in her pouch. She stood up and saw Selvaria battling it out with Randall and chose to deal with Alex's whirlwind instead. Jinx made a lace out of choking wire in her right hand, and in her left she took a cone shaped explosive and pulled back on the wire like an arrow string. She releases the cone striking the ice circle, during the process of pulling a metal umbrella out she counts down quietly. "3... 2... 1..." The cone erupts in a giant ring of blue fire, the steam from ice ring created a strong blow back due to the gust, rustling Jinx's clothing violently. Jinx raised the umbrella to her shoulder and let it pop open as the wind died down. When it completely died down she pulled her hood back, letting the umbrella back a little more showing her red eyes ever so slightly, and stared at the silhouette of Alex in the vortex. She gave a friendly smile before letting the vortex swoop her up with tremendous speed.

For a second it would seem as she disappeared, but then she was above the eye of the vortex falling down using umbrella as a shield. Some small grenades rolled around in the bowl of the umbrella as Jinx steered with the handle. She lands on the point of the rain shield shattering the ice on the ground like glass, the grenades levitated before her in what seemed to move in slow motion for her. The sound of the winds brought her back and she swung the umbrella launching the explosives at Alex. She opened the umbrella yet again catching the vortex's winds, using the speeds too fast for the human eye to see or body to handle Jinx worked fast. When she appeared this time she simply swung in on her choking wire, the vortex walls now glimmering. Jinx got in her ready stance yanking 2 grenades from her waist, and holding the umbrella point down. To where if she holds her arm out straight the umbrella tip would face down, if she were to flip her hand it would face up. She stood straight up, feet at 45 degree angles, the arm her grenades in slightly bent, and her umbrella jutting out behind her like a sword in it's scabbard.

Neither one of us are getting out of this enclosed space. Jinx's face cringed. Yet, I still can't predict his movements, we only just started and I'm in a bind Her stance widened a bit more, her shoulders tensing, teeth gritting. Then let's dance

Alex watched and listened, a smile growing on his face. Though she was a dangerous enemy, he knew that this would be fun. With the icesphere still intact, she had walked into his domain. From what he'd heard, she was an explosives user, and that meant that she couldn't do too much in the sphere without catching herself in the blast. He noticed the umbrella behind her and the bent arm. Hmm. I don't know what's in her hand, but I can hazard a guess. She seems too skilled to be a one-trick pony, so she has to have other things. I don't know what yet, but I'm going to find out.

Switching his sword to his right hand, Alex began backing away. Though he was technically an expert at defensive swordplay, due to his body build and the general lack of attention he paid to honing his body, he only had a minute or two at most before he tired out from the physical exertion. I have two choices here. I can attack, hope things go well, and then probably lose, or I can back out of my sphere. If I simply use my magic to create a door through the ice, she'll have no choice but to follow me. As long as I'm still touching the sphere, though, I can create spikes from the edges leading in. Guess we'll see what happens.

Once he felt the edge of the sphere on his back, Alex gave Jinx a little smile. God, I seem like a passive little bitch here. Oh, well. I kind of am. He put the palm of his left hand on the sphere and used his power over water to melt the ice a little bit, then followed that with a quick fire blast to the wall. There, the door is open. Now what happens?

"I hate to leave the enclosure so soon. But, well, I'm curious to see what you do. Catch me if you can," Alex taunted. In truth, he'd already seen her abilities, and she'd catch him in open ground in a heartbeat. But, that wasn't the concern. All he wanted was for her to rush after him through the doorway. Basic human psychology. There's a pathway out, why bother making a new one? Ease of access is important.
