Luricshia: Element's Chaos

Copper shook her head.
"Whatever, sorry I snapped at you but you can't stand there picking faults just yet, lets actually survive through this yeah?" she looked at him, no trace of anger or resentment in her voice.
Now they were here adrenaline was pumping in her veins and Copper spun on her feet to look across the river.
She began to heat the river up, steadily, the heat from earlier had ebbed away and the river was soon bubbling and throwing off a pearly mist, whatever you were made of, this water was hot enough to metaphorically melt your skin..
"Can you launch this at them?" Copper nodded to the water and looked at Rekki, it wasn't much, but it would distract the warriors for a bit.

The entire thing reminded Lance of a strange and unorganized circus. There was a woman flailing her legs and arms above the ground, a woman boiling water, a woman excluding herself from the world, and two tempered men who had nothing more to do than practice on bottling their anger. Amusing was not the correct word for it.

"People. People. If I may..."Lance chimed in. When he was sure he had the attention of his fellow Poised, he shot towards a nearby tree and grabbed a rough looking man. The uniform of the warriors were as follows: A long black trenched coat trimmed in dirty gold, so that it may appear brown. The insignia on the back resembled a lock and chains. The emblem was a symbolism for saying that the warriors have locked away the Fallen and their current task is to do the same to the Poised. Following the coat was a loose pair of slacks, in the same horid black fashion.

This particular man was putting up a fight against Lance. The speed came from the electric nodes around him in the air. However electric nodes were not going to harm the warrior in his grasp.

"Any time now." Lance called out after further tightening his grip on the man's neck.

Despite her sulking from only a minute before, as soon as Erika saw Lance gripping the rough man in the black jacket she sprang to her feet. Lance was incredibly fast and he was already gripping the man before she could do anything. She could feel already the emotions of the others pressing on her but she did her best to ignore these other emotions, knowing it would likely drag her down.

Looking at Lance, Erika wished that she and her powers were more useful. Still, she decided to try to help as best she could, even if no one else had any faith in her. Toward the man that Lance had grabbed, Erika directed as much light as she could toward his eyes. She pushed aside the feeling in her gut as she directed more and more light toward the eyes. The man's yelps alerted her that she'd been successful. The delicate and cornea were surely damaged by now and he's be unable to see.

The effort of directing so much light had given Erika a headache though and she still hadn't done as much as the others could do. The others could do real damage and all that Erika could do was blind them. Even blinding the men took so much effort that Erika felt completely useless in the fight. At least, though, the man would be nearly incapable of harming the others without the ability to see.

"Great job." Rekki called out before he could even catch the two words before they passed through his lips. Once again, he found himself being nice to random people again. Lance and Ericka were both fairly quick to react when the warrior came into their presence, of course, Lance reacting faster. There was a foggy glass that covered the man's eyes, rendering him blind. Rekki was impressed. He didn't believe for one moment that she had that kind of power, but he was sadly mistaken. Light could be used to do some interesting things.

Copper continued to boil the water. As much as she was helping, Rekki did not want to use any of his abilities on it. He was already wavy enough when it came to regular water. If he just chose to sling around boiling water everywhere, he would surly scar someone. That annoyed fact settled on his head as he ran his fingers through his hair. Plan...plan...plan.

Lance's grip tightened on the warrior and Ericka looked completely drained. Not a good thing. The daylight must have enabled Lance to further tap into his element, for fear the darkness will further weaken Ericka. After adding up that fact, Rekki realized even though the darkness would make Ericka weak, it would make Braeden strong.

A throbbing knot formed on the side of Rekki's head. There was too much calculation for him to do alone. Taking one look at the girl with red hair, he noted the seriousness in her eyes and faltered slightly. The girl he wanted to disappear so many seconds before was now a vessel of determination and power.

"Copper. I can't use this."he said, motioning towards the river. Seconds later, Rekki caught the movement from Lance's direction from the corner of his eye. The movement was fast, but not fast enough. Rekki spun around to see the constricted warrior...doing the constricting.

Warriors were not Poised. They weren't gifted with the power of the Fallen. The Fallen were people who were born, raised, or ressurected from the elements. The elements were the basic elements of the world, much like the Poised around Rekki now. But the Fallen were named Fallen for a reason. Warriors of Luricshia's army had a task to complete; destroy the Fallen. They could not have people strolling around Luricshia's luscious green plains with so much power and ability coursing through their veins. In that way, the warriors gained their own power of manipulation from different objects and weapons. Some were dangerous and most not used.

This particular warrior...manipulated ropes.

A rope slithered from under the coat of the fallen and constricted itself around Lance's neck. The notion caught them all by surprised. Lance must have forgotten about their own powers. Even though he had the warrior in a firm grip, he also didn't take the time out to carefully plot out any counter attack. Rekki couldn't blame him, though. Ropes were the last thing that Rekki expected.

Lance's face became pale, his throat uprooting gargling, hacking sounds. Rekki transfixed himself to attack, but was quickly reminded about the boiling water issue. For the first time today, he felt completely useless.
*********************************************************************

Jazmyn continued to flail in the air, slowly regaining her balance. Although she really really really hated to admit it, Lance and Ericka's actions had bought her enough time to straighten herself out. She didn't like the fact that she had to be helped out by someone she didn't know, let alone another Poised. To her, they were just stealing the fun away. At that moment, there wasn't much to complain about. If i were not for them, she'd be lying flat on her face in the ground right now.

She took a moment to regulate her breathing, being very careful not to make any sudden or jerking movements. Steadying wind took time and patience, which was Jazz's weakness. When there was action, the adrenaline in her body spiked and there was no telling what her body would do for that moment on.
Grow up, Jazzy! These people need you! Or not, she thought straightening out her fingers. A sliver of wind slid under her arms, balancing her in place. The same happened to the area under the soles of her peach colored shoes.

"Alright, Jazmyn is ready to do this!"she exclaimed, sending off a fist pump into the air. When her fist raised into the air, a gust of wind followed, pushing her off balance again. That's not all. The wind shot up a man that was lurking in the dark shadows of a rock. He flailed around in the air, yelling in surprise.

Jazz blinked twice and then regained her composure, lifting her chin up as though she meant for that to happen, although it was pure accidental.

[I don't know how far I am meant to be able to control fire, so any mishaps I'll just edit it out.]

Coppers eyes narrowed upon visualizing the warriors power, focused her energy upon heating his stomach acid and body temperature, as plans went this wasn't the best, and a bit rash, who knows maybe he'll spontaneously combust.
She chuckled, watching his face twist as his temperature rised, and his death was arriving sooner than he expected.
Slowly cooking.
Copper watched as the rope loosened as the warrior lost strength, ideally it shouldn't be long now.

Lance was taken completely by surprise and that upseted him so. Speed was on his side as usual. He had the eyes and ears of nature but they're words came too late.

It was all Ericka's fault.

After Lance demanded for any kind of physical response to the person he grappled, Ericka stood up to the challenge. Lance's green eyes wavered over to her and watched the manipulation and bend of light happen right before his eyes. Of course he had to sheild his own or the same fate would befall him also. The warrior's dark voice was tinged in pain. Lance took the chance to look and was surprised to find that his eyes were completely useless.

Lance was in a state of shock and awe. Ericka, though she was drained, had pushed past her conflicting thoughts to save him. He dipped into a trance, staring at her intently.

Ropes! Behind you!

The warning came too late and before he was aware of it, a tight bind wrapped itself around his neck. The grip was deafening and he could feel his circulation slipping. Why bother yelling for someone's assitance? Right when the worse seemed yet to come, a peculiar heat resonated inside the warriors body. It was the screams in pain that threw Lance off. Screams. He was all but familiar with them.

The warrior screamed louder and the heat was starting to creep up through the ropes. Even though the grip was loosened, the heat was going to burn him.

"C-copper! Hot! ...Hot!"he choked.

Copper heard the warning and let the heat go, the warrior would be drained enough by now, and she wasn't about to injure an ally.
She looked over to Lance and walked over smirking at the warrior who seemed unable of the basic twitch.
She held the rope and singed it, then with a little tug the rope fell away.
"Sorry, I didn't really think it would travel through the rope."
She rubbed her arms and looked at the other warriors, what were they going to do to them, she didn't have the power to do that to all of them, and she wasn't sure what the others were even going to do.
Lance it seemed had strength and speed, Ericka was drained, and the light was fading, meaning that soon shadow dude would be at his strongest.
Rekki it seemed, looked lost and Jazmyn looked in her element.

Braeden was a bit angry. Though the poised were finally fighting, it was scattered, unorganized, and messy. Not only were they fighting the warriors, but they were fighting the other poised too. He worried that when darkness came, he would be unable to control his power fully, and the power given by the natural darkness would be too much. On the other hand, it would likely be too much for the warriors as well.

He watched the fast paced battle between Lance and the rope charmer, and when Copper roasted his insides, he turned his attention to the wind girl. Though she had the second warrior in the air, she wasn't doing much else with him... Time for Braeden to step in. Out from the man's own shadow which was hovering beneath him stemmed a large vine-like figure. It shot out of the shadow, wrapped around the mans neck and then jerked him down quickly. The vine retracted back into the shadow, but the man did not, sending him head first into ground with great force. All this was caused by merely an outstretched hand by Braeden.

With the warrior on the ground, he used his secondary power to read his power...

"This man can immobilize you! Do not make eye contact with him!"

>No worries Unii!!<

"Don't do what?" Jazz called from in the air. From the altitude, Jazz could barely make out any words that anyone spoke. Hopefully their thanking me for find this one! Everything was becoming too rough and moving too fast for her. All of the Poised were making fools of themselves, and even the serious ones were at a loss for actions. The only one who remained a level head was Braeden! Well, I guess I'll stick with him.

While Lance was currently trying to stop Copper from burning him, Braeden moved in quickly to take down the next opponent, the one she had captured. His skills with the shadow were amazing, no doubt, but also very dangerous. As Braeden strengthened, Ericka weakened. The only option was separation. Jazz ha d already claimed her partner, and she planned to show him what she was capable of.

So, without thinking clearly, she cut off her ties to the wind, and began to soar down at a diagonal angle. From time to time, she would sharpen the wind around her, making her descent quicker and adding more force and less friction to the sole of her shoe. Basically, she was planning on doing a kick from very high velocity and momentum.

"Heads up!"she exclaimed, zipping through the air. Once she caught eye contact with the warrior however, a tickling feeling swam through her body. It was as if someone had poured a pitcher of ice water over every inch of her veins. The eyes were a greyish blue color, tinged with yellow and green. The shock of it immobilized her and she crumpled to the ground, eyes wide with shock. What...what happened? What's going on?

*********************************************************************

"Wait!" Rekki called out before Jazmyn (was that her name?) made contact with the warrior. He saw the expression in her eyes when Braeden had called out his warning, her face seemed completely normal as if he didn't speak at all. She didn't hear!

"Wait! Don't!"he shouted, reaching a hand out to her. When he saw her body go rigid and collapse under itself, he knew it was already too late. Rekki was no longer annoyed; he was enraged. Lance was first, then it was Jazmyn. He wouldn't let it happen to anyone else. Now that Copper had stopped boiling the water, he had some sort of control on his actions. The first motive was to protect.

"You heard the man! No looking!"he said, lifting both of his hands up to neck length. A wave of water crept slowly from the river, obeying his every physical command. Just go slow, Rekki. He had wished that Ericka had blinded the immobilizing man instead, but he couldn't walk onto that road just yet. There is no way they all could have known he had that type of power.

Rekki sent the water crashing into the man's face. The man had no other choice but to close his eyes from all the salt water that crashed into his eyes. He only hoped that someone would take advantage of the situation.

Without a second thought, Erika dove to Lance's side and began to pull away at the ropes, despite how hot they were. She was scowling the whole time, her attention entirely focused on the bindings. She looked every bit angry, though it was hard to tell exactly where that anger was directed since she didn't say anything. Once Erika had extricated Lance from the ropes, she stood once more and looked around. There was chaos going on around her and Jazz was already down.

"Braeden, you're hard to be around" Erika muttered, swaying a little as she stood. The immobilizing man was a threat now, though, and Erika was summoning what energy she could to try to blind him also. Before Erika could do so, Rekki splashed the man in the face. seeing the opportunity, Erika glanced down at Lance and then leapt towards the immobilizing man.

Erika's slight stature made her physical attacks less potent than she would like but she still achieved her goal in the end. Her weight directed at the man's shins was enough to send him toppling. Unfortunately, the man fell right on top of Erika, flattening her to the ground underneath him even as he tried to grab her throat. The ensuing result was a tangle of thrashing and punching, until Erika managed to wriggle out from beneath him.

It had taken Lance all but three seconds flat to become royally enraged. How dare these barbarians have the nerve to attack a girl in that manner? He didn't much care if she could take care of herself, its the immobilizing man that sparked his fire. Ericka had taken off after the man by pure choice and got herself into a tangle of fists and arms. Once he had seen the first blow land on Ericka, Lance launched himself off of the ground as best as he could. His eyes were a boil. The anger inside him was directed solely at the man.

Secretly thanking Braeden for bring the darkness around, Lance noticed that the clouds had gathered, along with a slight fall of rain. Perfect. Growling, Lance split his fingers until his index and middle were pressed together. Putting the utmost concentration and anger he had on the man next to Ericka, he swung his arm down in a downwards strike. The result was a trail of yellow and pink lightening following his movements. The lightening struck the man in the back. Lance did not care where he hit him, as long as he experienced some pain. Running over to Ericka, he grabbed her by both arms and pulled her away to safety, if there were such a place.

His anger was not gone, however. Tilting her chin up, he motioned for her to look at him, so as to observe any sign of pain.

"Are you hurt?"he asked, voice gruff. The attitude of wisdom had flew from his head and was replaced with what he was now.

"No!" Braeden exclaimed as the Wind girl soared through the air at the man, and then hit the ground paralyzed. He turned to take care of his enemy, but he was quickly hit with a wave of water, followed by a bolt of lightning. The man was down, and likely out for the count.

"My apologies, Girl of Light. I know the time of day and cloud cover can't be helping you, either." He said in a serious tone. That was the problem with the poised fighting together, each one's power would effect the others, in good ways and bad.

He knelt down beside the wind girl. "The man is defeated, you should be able to move now. You must be more careful. Luckily the others were quick to react. On your feet now, there are still two more warriors to be fought." He said as he took the girls hand and helped her to her feet.

Lance held Ericka, looking over at the scene before it all fell into shambles. Two more warriors strode from no where, grasping their hands together. Lance had used most of his energy in the lightening strikes, not to mention Braeden was slowly getting rid of darkness.

This can not be good. But at least everyone is okay.

Two more approach. Be on your guard, though. These two are more powerful than the others. A tree said.

"Of course they are." he responded gruffly.

Within just a short span of Erika managing to escape the warrior's punches and grabbing hands, Lance had zapped him with electricity and was helping her up. Erika smiled at him sheepishly but before she could respond, Braeden was also on hand with his own worries.

"Hey, Braeden! Just do a good job and don't worry 'bout me!" Erika flashed him her far more cheeky grin but when she turned back to Lance, his expression was grim. More warriors were emerging now and the fighters were at less than their peak physical condition. For all her bravado, Erika still felt a little wobbly on her feet and she'd taken a couple of bruises in her scuffle with the warrior. Still, she was determined to give it her all.

Possibly due to Braeden, some of the dark had receded a little bit. Erika gripped Lance's arm and looked up at him, her grin simmered down to nothing more than a slight tweak at the corners of her mouth. "Hey, if you think that it'll do you any good, I should be able to make you invisible for just a little bit?" her offer was not a very confidence inspiring one, but it was the best that she could do for now.

Jazmyn blinked once. Her finger twitched and from that point, she slowly started moving different parts of her body. Braeden had helped her up and she quickly threw herself at him.

"Thank you! I'm Jazmyn."she exclaimed, then backed away, nodding towards Rekki and Lance. "Thanks, you guys." She actually had to thank each and every one of them, but she didn't have the time.

Because--
***********************************************
"Look out!" Rekki called out, but it was too late. Another warrior pounced on her and began to fiercely jab at Copper, who was not paying attention behind her. Rekki had saw him before he pounced, but Jazmyn had also threw off his concentration.

The man was fast, not as fast as Lance, but quicker than Rekki. Rekki started to make a bee line towards the man, until he suddenly caught a strange movement with the ground. It was weird, like someone was sucking the earth right below his feet. Unless...impossible!

The warrior sent a rough tug to her hair and cackled to someone behind him.

"I'll get the red haired one! She ain't nothin!" the man weezed. Then, the impossible happened. The earth under Copper and the warrior began to swirl, much like...

Quicksand!?

"Copper!" Rekki exclaimed, feeling absolutely defenseless. He couldn't use water, because it'd drown them and he couldn't make his way over to punch his lights out because he'd sink too. As a matter of fact, what could anyone do?!

***********************************************

Jazmyn perked her head up at the two sentences passed from different mouths. Her vision was folding right before her eyes and she could do nothing. Tugging at Braeden's sleeve to get his attention, she pointed towards Copper.

"Any plans?!"she exclaimed. Lance and Ericka both looked as perplexed as the others. Not to mention that the other warrior was staring idly by with a malicious grin on his face.

Copper was nonplussed on what to do with the oncoming warriors, and began to form a plan in her mind everything was chaos, when she felt her self being slammed to the ground.
Crap.
Snapping back to reality Copper struggled against the giant for of the warrior and huffed.
If she'd just listened to everyone.
'I'll get the red haired one! She ain't nothin!' this made Copper slightly ticked, despite her current predicament hadn't she made it clear she had some form of defense, she cooked their friend for Christ sake!
She was about to do the same to this guy when she felt the ground move.
Crap, crap, crap!
Copper racked her brains for any for of escape, how to get out of this one?
But all she could think of was the comment from earlier.
'This is no time for your hurt ego Copper.. THINK.'
She held her fists tightly to her side and stopped fighting, letting heat radiate from her body like fire, fire that's like an inferno.
She watched as it all happened the Warriors surprise at the sudden heat intensity, and the blisters that were appearing on any visible skin.
Perhaps he thought she was drained, or else to scared to do anything.
But Copper did feel slightly drained and she wouldn't be able to keep it up much longer, someone need to help, well.. to her they needed to.
While he was otherwise preoccupied Copper took her chance pulling her legs up to her chest she threw him to the side and stood up, but being Copper, didn't think of the after math, which was this Warriors fairly matched friend standing just a few ft away.

Lance made a move to help Copper, but was only stopped by the look on Ericka's face. Though she offered to turn him invisible, he could tell that she was not feeling up to the task.

"No. Don't use anymore of your energy, alright?"he asked. he didn't wait for an answer before he turned back to Copper and the warrior. In the blink of an eye, he was being burned also. Good plan, but he was not dead. It was clear she was running out of energy, not to mention that there was one more warrior.

"Not good."he said. He tried to hide the fact that he was panting. The blot he struck on the warrior was infused with anger, which drained most of his strength. So now, though he hate to admit it, he was completely useless. That meant plan B.

"Droplets! Do something!"he called out. The other warrior only smiled.

Copper looked around her hair flicked around looking like flames in the evening light.
She looked at the warrior on the ground and drove her fist into her face, hearing the satisfying crack that meant his nose was broken, she then gripped his shoulder hard, using the pressure points to knock him out and stepped closer to the second warrior.
"Anyone good at hand to hand combat?!" she shouted, she wouldn't be able to take down a fully capable warrior on her own.
She ran at him and dropped to her feet, landing on her hands she ran her feet under his legs and with force knocked him forwards, in a flash she was back up and holding onto the back of his head which she smashed into a nearby rock.
"Well?!"
