Welcome to my fabulous collection of stuff - from characters to plots and more... As I think of and write it.

If you would be so kind, I ask that you not snatch any plots from here without first asking me. That's just not cool.

Do one of my characters catch your eye? A plot perhaps that you'd like to try with me? Then feel free to message me to see if I'm open to striking up a fantastic roleplay! ^_^

Many thanks and happy roleplaying, everyone!

~ FABULOUS CHARACTERS ~ (Edit: I realize there are issues with some images. Will be fixed shortly :) )
Rosalind MacAulay.jpg

Name
Rosalind Marie MacAulay
Gender
Female
Age
26
Occupation
Police Officer
Strengths
-Agile
-Hand to hand fighting
-Fast
-Logical
Weaknesses
- Intimidating others
-Biting her tongue
-Communicating her feelings.
-Stubborn
General Appearance
Rosalind stands at about 5'4 with a frame to match; petite but deceptively strong. On your average run of the mill day her long red hair is usually down past her shoulders and she is wearing some combination of jeans, a t-shirt and jacket. However, most days she works and her hair is pulled back and a uniform is donned.
Talents
-Damn good sniper
-Pretty good musician
-Equally good singer, but good luck getting her to sing for you.
Inabilities
-Fears letting people down
-Can't seem to take her own advice
-Art was never her thing
General Personality
Calm in almost every situation, with the exception of being challenged by someone who doubts her abilities to lay them out on their rears, if necessary. Generally only an issue when on the job. She is kind, sometimes to a fault and in the same breath she is also stubborn to a fault. Once she has made up her mind, you can bet she's likely going to stick with her choice unless you have a damn good reason why she shouldn't. Though it isn't often an issue, she has that stereotypical red-head temper.

BiographyDaeya comes from a tribe of shape shifters that have existed for millennia. They have remained secret as have the other shapeshifting tribes. They are the most ancient of their kind and gave rise to all other shifters. They, unlike those in movies, shift only into one animal form. This form they discover at the age of 10, with each person shifting into a different creature, often large cats and canine-like animals.

As the world has changed, so to has each tribe in order to remain secret, hidden in the present society. Many still live far away from the influence of the modern world and for most of her life, so has Daeya. Technology isn't something she has much experience with, though she knows it exists. Sadly, with the development of technology, and some unfortunate historical mishaps between shifters and humans and between shifter tribes, some among the human population are aware of their existence. Throughout the early modern period up until the present, attempts to eradicate shifters when discovered have ended horribly, for all involved. Daeya herself had lost many loved ones, narrowly escaping death herself. It is the reason she has become a protector, a warrior for her kind. Though she has a healthy mistrust of human kind, she disagrees with the more radical shifter tribes who believe there are no good humans, no good races besides their own.

In her dwindling tribe, she has taken on a leadership role, much like her mother before her. She is respected among her people, and feared by some outside of her group. She is often headstrong, but has a strategic mind and uses it to keep her people safe. It isn't often she lets her emotions get the better of her, but from time to time she has been known to lose her cool if the right buttons are pressed.

The strength she exudes and the often stoic expression she ports hide a truly soft heart and kind nature which she often doesn't have a chance to show and has grown far to accustom to that.

Name:Eara Dodd
Age:28
Race:Human
Gender:Female
Abilities:Speaks/Communes with and can see the dead, be they human or otherwise.
While she can allow a spirit to use her body, this particular skill makes her incredibly susceptible to possession by forces much stronger than she is.
Personality:Can seem incredibly withdrawn / despondent, or like she isn't listening to a thing that's being said, often making people think she is self absorbed and rude. In reality, she is very observant, albeit quiet and not generally one to rock the boat unless she's pushed too far or you're about to do something incredibly stupid. She can be shy, if only because of her awkward, though endearing, social skills. Underneath the awkwardness and slight eccentricity, she is kind and trustworthy. When she gives her word, she stands by it, needing a very good reason to break any promise she makes.
Brief Bio:Eara had a rough go of it early in her life. Raiders from across the ocean razed the village in which she lived with her family, killing most and take others as slaves. A small handful managed to flee, including herself and her father. Though it wouldn't be long before more bad luck would separate the two of them, forcing her to grow up on her own, wandering from city to city and village to village. She learned many less than ideal skills in the eyes of polite society, but critical ones if she wanted to survive. Though, it never put a dent in the heart of gold she seemed to have.

Like her mother and her grandfather before that, she can speak with and see the dead, often preferring that over real human interaction as she grew, which took a toll on her social skills and ability to properly make friends if only because she seemed so... Odd, speaking to the thin air and all.

NameBriean White
GenderFemale
Age26
OccupationHealer/White Witch
General AppearanceIs 5'4 with red locks that come to just below her shoulders. Eyes are a grey-blue colour with a pale skin tone.
PersonalityKind and motherly; she is the go to person f you're ill and need a potion or a salve for a burn or other skin irritation/injury. She thrives on being able to help those around her and putting their needs ahead of her own.

Secretive and private; though she thrives on social interaction, she rarely shares her true thoughts and feelings with those she speaks to. She has her reasons for doing this.

Stubborn; when she has set her mind to something, she often refuses to change it. If she is told she can't do something for on reason or another, she will prove the speaker wrong. If confronted with a problem that might have possibly dangerous results she will stubbornly refuse to back down, especially if it means someone she cares for will get hurt.

Name:Tessa Byrne
Gender:Female
Race:Shapeshifter/Phoenix, an Ancient
Age:Appears to be in her late 20's, early 30's
Abilities:Regeneration, healing, manipulation of the element of fire.
Personality:Quiet, reserved most of the time, she would rather observe people and situations than get involved. Though she has been known to involve herself in extreme circumstances and there are times where her urge to help overrides the instinct to fly under the radar. Not exactly partial to violence, she would rather use her words than her particular strengths, which would make her a force to be reckoned with if she ever was so thoroughly angered. That said, she also isn’t a stranger to violence and can fight when she needs to. Not exactly quick to trust these days, she tends to give out her trust sparingly.
Brief Bio:Considered, at least now, to be an ancient being and a rarity, Tessa tends to keep to herself and much prefers it that way. As the first of the shapeshfiters, her particular form is, well, one of a kind. A creature that existed eons ago, but no longer graces the skies since the Great Purge. An effort led by a then warlord who would eventually become King to rid the lands of many magical creatures, if for no other reason than a misguided belief that they would pose a challenge to his eventual rule, though many thought it was more than that.

She lost many of her kind, and while it is a dark stain on her heart, she doesn’t let it make her bitter. She has her moments, and she sees some awful things still which confirm her need to remain hidden, but she doesn’t hold it against those that don’t mean her any harm. That said, she is not quick to trust people she doesn’t know, or people in general even if she would help strangers without a single thought a fault and a contradiction all rolled into one.

NameSariel Amakiir
Age110
GenderFemale
RaceWood Elf
OccupationDruid / Herbalist
Talents & SkillsDruidic magics, including the ability to change her shape into any animal of her choosing and is skilled in using her druidic spells to hide. A fighter out of necessity, she has grown particularly skilled with using quarter staffs, bow and arrows, and daggers, and has mediocre swordsmanship skills. Has a knack for singing, but she generally keeps it to herself.
PersonalityKind, sometimes withdrawn when she feels overwhelmed. Eternally curious, her mind is always soaking up every bit of information she can get, which usually means she’s asking hundreds of questions about those things she knows nothing about. For the most part, she is even tempered in most stressful situations, though even she has her limits. She would rather help, than hurt and much of how she lives her life follows that principle. She often puts others before herself, even if it meant she could get hurt.
BioMany, many moons ago a terrible force swept across the lands which Sariel calls home. From the kingdoms of humans to the forests of the elves, and into the mountains where dwarves and the drow live, no one was spared the horror, and the heart break that accompanied it, of the arch demon Nydrin and his horde.

Sariel suffered during those years of darkness. First, losing her mother and eventually her father in separate attacks on her home. It wasn’t until a brave soul found a way to subdue the demon and banish it back to whence it came that the lands knew peace. A peace that would last thousands of years, or so it was told. Eventually the darkness was forgotten, the name of the arch demon that caused so much misery passing into the annals of history without much thought. The scars upon the land disappearing as it recovered until only those that ere there one hundred years before recalled those dark days with any sort of clarity.

Sariel’s childhood home was in the eastern forests, where most of the elven druids lived. The elven city from which she hails was known for its scholars and healers. Their queen, benevolent and welcoming, even to outsiders despite the reclusive nature of not just those who call themselves druids, but wood elves too. Her parents were a prominent scholar and herbalist respectively – highly respected and renowned amongst the elves. She grew up among hundreds of books and other scholarly works from her father and others and amongst the royal gardens where her mother spent most of her days.

She developed a keen sense of adventure and insatiable curiosity about the things, people and world around her before losing her family. Something that made her stand apart from many of those that walked the path of the druid. Growing up and traveling as she has, she has had to learn various ways of protecting herself, including educating herself in the use of the quarter staff, bow and arrows, and daggers and to a lesser extent, a sword… but she wouldn’t bet on her swordsmanship skills.

Name:MacKenzie Benoit
Age:30
OccupationFormer member of the Canadian Special Forces, now a Private Investigator
Brief Bio:On the surface Mackenzie appears to be a strong, independent and methodical individual with a keen eye for detail – traits that serve her well as a private-eye, but underneath she battles demons galore, and on occasion, drowns them in an ungodly amount of liquor that might otherwise kill a normal person. Not that she’s abnormal, but she’s certainly been through literal hell for both her country, her comrades and innocent strangers all in the name of a better world. An ideal one would think she had lost in the years since leaving the military with physical and mental scars in tow, too jaded, angry, tired and depressed to worry about such a thing, but rather just surviving to the next day… However, that would not be the case for Mackenzie.

Always willing to help, even to a fault, she’d give her life to protect another. Her moral compass always had a way of pointing her in the right direction – there might be a few loops along the way – but she always found a way to help when and where she was needed. Even now, generally taking up the plight of those who can’t find help anywhere else – rich, poor it didn’t matter. Sure, she gets paid to do what she does, but she was never in it for the money. An astute person might even realize, most of the time, her need to help is just an escape from disturbing memories she’d rather forget.
