Name: Clary Shae

Appearance: Clary dresses in a steampunk/tribal/post-apocalyptic/gypsy style of her own creation. Her accessories are all hand-made, and her clothes are either sewn herself or made from thrift store finds. Though her look is never the same twice, she usually sports a leather vest and "utility belt" or welder's apron; either way, she's always got lots of pockets and compartments for tools. She also has brass and leather goggles with lenses cut from conventional safety goggles so they will be shatterproof; her goggles are not costume items, she actually uses them. She sometimes wears a utility kilt of wool or leather over stockings or leggings, sometimes shorts, sometimes leather pants and calf boots with lots of buckles. Her outfits usually include feathers, gears, amulets and other fetishes.

Position: Local Author: Clary has written two books. One, Don't Wait for the Zombies, is a fairly comprehensive manual on sustainable off-grid living for people whose interests don't incline toward subsistence farming (the more common approach taken by Collapse preppers). It includes open-source plans for the primary "appropriate technologies" needed for off-grid living. The other, The Carnival at the End of the World is a novel about "solarpunk" nomads rebelling against a crumbling surveillance state set against a background of increasing climate change, intended to be the first book of a series.

The wagon's interior has a fold-out one-person bed, compact "facilities," and a workbench. There are racks of tools and cabinets with little drawers filled with parts, and inventions and crafts in various stages of construction, but all very well-organized. Every square inch of space has to be used efficiently, so it's always tidy, but colorful gypsy wall hangings, pillows, and curtains give it a free-spirited Bohemian ambiance.

Personality: Clary has a sarcastic, devil-may-care attitude. Not much seems to perturb her. She's something of a "strong, silent type;" like a retired gunslinger in an old Western, she doesn't go around picking fights, but she's not afraid to stand up for herself or others if she's pushed. She's even got a Texas drawl to match. She's very adaptable and great at landing on her feet. 401K's and investment portfolios? Not so much. She likes to flirt every now and then, and dish out a smokin' saucy gaze, but she's not over the top about it.

Quirks: Clary has a strong dislike for electronic gadgets (with the singular exception of her iPod), and avoids using them whenever possible. She does have a smartphone/tablet, which she's modded with a steampunk brass-and-leather case decorated with a feather-gear-and-dreamcatcher fetish on a leather thong. This, she uses to maintain a blog and an Etsy store to sell things she makes, but it spends most of its time in her wagon pretending to be a landline phone chained to the wall. Video games? Nope. Television? Nope! Nope! Nope! She even prefers old-fashioned hand-powered tools to power tools.

She hates brand names and logos. "I already bought yer goddamn product, I don't need it advertized to me anymore!" Thus, if she buys something like a tool, item of clothing, set of mechanic's coveralls, whatever that has brand names printed on it, she will mod it in some way or other to make it fit her preferred aesthetic, which will include covering up or eliminating the brand names.

Hobbies/Addictions: Clary loves to tinker. Whether it's building a heliostat to power a Sterling engine she's made, building robot sculptures out of abandoned bicycle parts, or sketching designs for inventions or crafts, she's always got multiple projects in process. She can't stand waste. It can be hard for her to shop at the grocery store, or just buy a drink from a vending machine, because she'll find herself obsessing over a plastic bottle and what she can make out of it rather than add to the amount of garbage in the world.

She feels that modern techno-industrial society is well past its pull date, and headed for decline and collapse. Thus, she tries to make herself as independent of "the system" as she can.

Clary plays the pan flute; it's an instrument she can carry wherever she goes, and she can make one from bamboo, wood, or metal tubing. Thus, no matter what happens, she won't be without music.

Dream: Clary wants to help build an ecologically sustainable steampunk-solar civilization that's a lot more like a permanent Burning Man festival than the current world of cubical farm offices and obtrusive "smart" electronic devices.

The interior is spotless and generally plain, lacking extravagance. The few key features are a high quality slow cooker, a Nintendo GameCube, a Wii U and a custom built PC.

Personality: Damian is logical before all else. He weighes up options without feelings. That being said, Damian is easily thrown off by flirty pretty girls.

Quirks: Has serious Organisational OCD. This makes him unable to look at unorganisation for more than a minute or so. He also struggles to deal with random noise so generally listens to music.

Hobbies/Addictions: Damian is a serious Super Smash Bros player. He enters tournaments online and in real life, having won a fair few. This is how he can afford the few luxuries he possesses. Damian listens to music almost constantly to block out unwanted noise. His music can be anything from classical to white noise. Damian also games on the PC but not as competitivly.

Dream: Damian has always wanted to open a game design studio, based mainly around picking up small indie projects and letting them soar

Personality: She's shy most of the time but get her out of her shell and she'll be the most outspoken girl you'll meet. Especially when it comes to Cannabis and Anime.

Quirks: She's autistic and OCD. (High level functioning though, which means at first you can't tell.) She's a smartass and sometimes doesn't know when to shut up. Also says "nya" when she sneezes.

Hobbies/Addictions: She puffs, a lot, and during the day she does it for medicinal reasons and at night it's for fun. Though she knows her limit and usually only comes to work a little high to take the edge off. She also loves tumblr, porn, and hentai, among anime and Chipotle.

Dream: She's currently on a path to get into college for animation, but right now is taking core classes at the community college.
