I'm mostly used to Modern-Fantasy and things with some level of Slice of Life to them, though I'm willing to try anything even dice RP. I do think my fight scenes read a bit odd though, it's a work in progress... I also have a penchant for Comedy.
So, a really long time ago, I had a Charahub account. Then Charahub died, so I moved to Toyhou.se, but they don't allow for face claims over there, only original art and I'm... neither that good of an artist or that diligent to draw all 35+ of them that fast...

Thus, this is my middle-ground, my transition place until I can properly and completely move over to Toyhou.se, hurray!

Expect this to get filled in the next days, it's 1 AM rn I'm not doing code this late XD

Name: Aufh-Mokwu Qwa Thae'il
Pronounciation: Ath-mohk Keeh Taeil [/ɑθmɒk/ /kɜ:/ /ta:ɪl/] 🔊
Age: Early 20's in appearance, officially unknown in Earth Terms [Junior Camp + 5624 Missions + About 2 E.Y.], calculated to be in between 573 and 2902 Earth Years.
Birthday: Unknown, uses January 1st
Gender: Male
Nicknames: Thae'il, Thae
Species: Star Animal (Black Fox)
Occupation: World-destroyer, currently in self-proclaimed vacation
Titles: The Dark Comet of Mayhem and Conflict, Void Star, Anti-Wishgranter, Disharmony, Mayhem Incarnate and Whisperer of Doom.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Jung Personality Type [Dominant trait]:
Sexual Orientation:
Pansexual and even further than that...

--Appearance Description--
A fairly tall and svelte young man standing at 5' 10'' (155 cm) tall, appearing to be in his early twenty's, that exhales a mix of sophistication yet rebellion, with a stylish purposefully unkempt clothing style, as if Thae wears the freedom he prides of in his life's philosophy on his own person.

In his animal shell, which is a state of lower energy consumption acting like a battery, Thae becomes a black fox, about 1' 9'' (57 cm) as a fox, which is 3' 7'' (121 cm) in full length, 1' 3'' (40 cm) just for the tail. The fox form is almost indistinguishable from an actual normal fox, if not for the ethereal shadowy mist appearance of it, especially the tail, which end is incredibly hard to pinpoint and seems to simply disperse in the air after him. When running/floating at high-speeds he leaves a trail of stardust in his wake, akin to the tail of a shooting star or a comet though he is no wish-granter.

--Personality--
With names such as the Whisperer of Doom, Void Star, Disharmony and regarded as a bad omen, Thae's one and only purpose in life is to seek fun, no matter what the consequences of those might be. A terrific personality reader, this young man has an idea of how to get others to fall for his taunts and what type of comments will destabilize and enrage even the most tranquil of people, taking advantage of his target's moment of emotional irrationality to direct them towards something they'll deeply regret, normally a third party. Thae hates feeling trapped and will often defy rules just for the sake of disobeying, in a backwards display of power and sovereignty over oneself.
Though he's not one to start a fight with others for no reason (unless he's bored and needs something to do), Thae will never back down from a challenge, standing up for his huge ego without a second thought and gladly demanding a prize in case he wins. No, it's not enough to be a winner, something has to be gained out of it of course! No one does things for free in this world! A pro at disappearing before things go too bad, Thae is quite whimsical in the context of, that he comes, goes and does as he pleases, no warnings, no respect for privacy, just the pursuit of entertainment and personal gain.

Due to the lack of morality, empathy or ethics, Thae is everything under the sun when it comes to affection and physical exchanges, including Loli/shotacon (some Pedophile vibes there), Zoophiliac and an Orgy person. It's therefore a lot easier to ressalt what Thae'il is not, which are a Necrophiliac, if it's dead it's well, dead; And a rapist. Though he might not see a problem with flirting to everybody and even stealing a peck, the more heated things get the more he'll require some sort of consent from the other party, though taking their actions into account instead of clearly asking for it may make room for some misunderstanding. For Thae, there's no point to it if the other party (or parties) aren't enjoying it just as much.

Mutable like a white canvas, Thae'il is willing to listen to the reason of why something might be considered bad and even change his ways, as long as he's given very clear, direct and logical points to back the statement up. New to emotions as a whole, he honestly cannot understand why something he might have done could have made someone else upset and won't have a parameter as to why he should quit it until someone else is to bear with all his questions and calmly let him know the whys. Sometimes he cares about people, or things, and as such will protect them with fangs and claws, and yet, without truly admitting it for himself. Has a huge liking for Earth food, appreciating the variations in taste/multiple taste notes of them. Will hoard all of the soda if given a chance and in the lack of something to do he might as well just plop in a corner for a nap.

Perks: Persuasive, Rhapsodic, Clever, Eloquent, Logical.
Flaws: Flirty, Insidious, Defiant, Mischievous, Egoistic.

--Backstory-- [Species/world/universe lore by @CherryRoseLotus, highly built upon]
Brought back to the homeworld after the Comet Chasers had been decimated by the Emperor Lionel's army in the conflict known as The Animal Uprising, Thae was, together with the rest of the surviving children, indoctrinated and trained to be the worst he could be from a very young age. After slaying his own wife to end the conflict, the already maddened emperor had lost his mind completely, setting off in a thirst for revenge against the universe itself. He gathered the remaining star animals to be world destroyers, employing their innate powers and abilities to bring entire civilizations to ruin, without regard for any life, resources or balance. Raised to be loyal to that purpose, the young generation had been honed with the worst character traits, motivations and ambitions possible, most becoming selfish, chaos-loving beasts, hell-bent into doing as they please and bringing forth the end of the universe, little by little.

As the embodiment of mayhem itself, like many of his brethren, Thae has only known war and devastation, enjoying setting up races against each other, starting conflicts just for the fun of it and anticipating the moment the planets themselves would nuke each other into stardust. Doing so is his job, even if sometimes the repetition of it might get boring, his job is at the same time his only chance at entertainment, continuously spreading chaos through the universe in groups of 5-ish, destroying the world, then getting deployed on the next. Maybe that's when things had gotten a bit different than unusual at the Earth of Section Untouched-mission Thae had found himself wanting it to last longer than it normally did.

Deployed to a human girl, Gunter, with a powerful stare capable of causing someone physical pain and remaining in a kind of 'pet' position, Thae had grown to enjoy his interactions with her, seeing the whole thing as some kind of challenge and trying harder and harder to effectively get under her skin. His mission still stood of course but in second-plane. This was too fun of an opportunity to let it end quickly and he's not trying as hard because there's no real reason to. It's entertaining and this dynamic shall be maintained until it grows dull. It's not like being a pet was allll that bad anyway, to be honest, it was a welcome change of pace from all the constant fighting.

As of his first multiversal adventure, Thae'il hasn't returned to his home universe, instead having reached the conclusion that the rest of the squad wouldn't care whether he left or not and that the mission didn't really mean anything to him, if it ever had. Ever since, the fox male has declared 'vacation time without an expiration date' in which he has taken time to both learn more about himself and see what other universes have to offer. Every day is new and full of possibilities when you're wandering without a goal in mind, and all of it full of excitement, thrill and new interesting people to meet!

Motivation: Aimless exploration, overall entertainment and personal desire. Thae'il is a wanderer now, wanting to observe, explore just as many locations and planets as the ones he has destroyed in life. Whether that is solely done for himself, someone else or an actual desire of redemption remains to be seen. For now, it's just as whimsical of an idea as Thae himself.

--Powers--
  • Darkness Mimicry: Can become darkness to hide, diving into the shadows of people and objects. Becomes intangible in this state and can use it as a way of transport, travelling along with people or objects even if they're physically moved;
  • Shadow Manipulation;
  • Levitation;
  • Starlight Absorption: Thae can harness the energy from the stars and hold it inside his body for an infinite amount of time, akin to charging a battery;
  • Light-speed Dash: By releasing the stored energy, Thae can reach crazy amounts of momentum, cutting through the air in speeds nearing those of light itself. Being at higher speeds means it's increasingly harder to change one's movement, however. By combining this with levitation, he can effectively achieve flight.

Star Animal Physiology: Thae'il works veeeery similar to a nuclear reactor when it comes to being a highly-energy based biological form. Everything that is consumed will burn rather quickly converted into raw unstable energy almost instantaneously. As such, Thae is immune to most kinds of poison or drugs as they normally don't remain in his system enough to do anything. It has to be something incredibly potent or very specific for the effects to be felt, and even then they might come in a milder form.
That energy is constantly being leaked, --similar to how we spend energy to keep our body processes going--, released either in the from of a shiny particle similar to stardust or the natural invisible aura that every Star Animal has. That 'aura' acts as a shield taking most of the impact suffered away from them in return making the species rather sturdier than your overall human being. During recharge as well as emotions of infatuation, fluster and similar that aura becomes a bit more visible due to the exchange of energy with the environment/slightly raised output of energy expense.

On the other hand, without a 'mechanism' limiting the release of said energy, Thae might as well explode and/or cause a blast of immense radius, which is where the Animal Shell comes in handy.

Capable of three physical states compared to plasma, gas and solid, the basic animal form of a Star Animal functions as both an energy output regulator and a low-energy consumption mode. When in the shell, in that animal form, Thae is rendered a bit more vulnerable as the energy-leak is completely barred, putting a stop to the protective aura altogether, which at the same time, bars all kinds of energy expense. Out of that shell, it is speculated to linger in an invisible gaseous state, like a top-coat of the Star Animal until their personal weapon is called upon, which is the solid and final state of their Animal Shell. No matter which state it is in, the material keeps its energy regulation properties, allowing it to be released in small, controlled bursts rather than all at once.

--Abilities--
  • Military Training: Trained to be the worst of the worst that the universe had to offer, there hasn't been a time when Thae'il wasn't been treated like a weapon, thrown in harsh situations to really put the 'law of the jungle to test'. The fact that he's survived this long is a true testament to high adaptability; common-sense; exceptional situation and people-reading; sneaking and hiding skills; acting; multi-tasking; spatial-awareness and survival instincts. Basically, knowing what you have to do without getting tunnel-sighted or lowering one's guard. At the same time he's having a conversation with someone, Thae is still listening for any sort of change in the background, ready to react in case it does.
  • The Saboteur: As a World-Destroyer, and according to his abilities, Thae had the duties of spionage and sabotage in every new mission. What that should mean the most is manipulation, Thae'il is exceptional at reading people's reactions, able to quickly pinpoint subjects of interest and aversion and acting accordingly to get what he wants from them. If they're angry, they might stop thinking rationally and let details slip, if you challenge their ego, they might get a need to blow the scale even higher to prove you wrong... He understands how to elicit emotional responses and potentially set-up conflicts within the parts to an impressive degree. If a group's dynamic isn't rock solid to almost perfection, Thae'il will be able to find its weak points and easily exploit them to his heart's content.
Weakness:
  • Shadow form is vulnerable to strong, concentrated light sources (Think of a spotlight) and/or light attacks;
  • Will be forcefully expelled out of a shadow if it stops existing;
  • Needs a shadow beside his own to dive into;
  • Needs to constantly replenish used energy by night-time or he'll eventually be stuck at normal human's speed;
  • Consuming something with grapes/raisins and/or chocolate will make him sick;
  • Would literally explore with a nuclear-level detonation if he were to consume alcohol;
  • The color white is associated with a highly traumatic event from junior camp, also his only regret in life.

Weapon: A War Scythe made entirely of an undescribed metal that is strong as iron yet shines yellow like gold. It is ornamented, sneaking top to bottom, with inscriptions in a language that seems like a mix of Hieroglyphs, Hebrew and Korean together, something composed of squiggles alternated with less subjective drawings, multiple lines and unexplainable pauses/overlaps.
In the section separating blade from pole, two raggedy looking, long pieces of black cloth are tied and extend out, serving no purpose other than decoration. A Star Animal's weapon is a solid-shape created with the 'magic' that makes their animal shells and part of themselves.

Simply called 'The Claw' because the wielder is too lazy to put a proper effort into naming it.

--Theme Song--

Other Ended up with a pet Annoying Dog that he calls Marshmallow and put a green collar on; Gift from Sans post Enter the Cosmos. Sometimes it shows up randomly to mess with him.

Name: Catherine (no last name. Goes by Mountbatten when one is needed)
Age: 15

Appearance:
catherineedit_by_necessity4fun-dclq1yv.gif

Race: Werecat
Hobbies: Cooking and finger painting
Likes: History, art, sports, learning, sightseeing and naps
Dislikes: Bullies, unneeded violence and nonsensical rambling

Personality: Catherine is a carefree, easily amused person. Being one to discover the Monster world only later in her life, Cath is oblivious to most rules and knowledge other supernatural creatures might have. She doesn't know most types of creatures, especially the who to trust and who to not trust and all those things. Learning about something new will make her go "Ohhh" for a long time and awaken her cat-like curiosity to know more about this new, wonderful thing she just discovered (Beware a barrage of questions).

When given a problem, she'll often take the first solution her head can think of and try it out without thinking twice, which, often ends up bad for her and any other parties involved... If someone is in danger, it doesn't take her long to make her move and go stand right in the middle, attempting to protect the weakest side.
She doesn't get bullying, Catherine just cannot see a reason why someone would choose to hurt another person, it's not like they win anything by doing this, right?

After living with humans for so long, Catherine has become quite the empathic person and simply doesn't want to see anyone sad or hurt.
Since she's a lesser werecat because she turns into a domestic cat, other werecats may ignore and deny her existence, or even lash out and bully her, but she won't mind about it at all, she's grown used to it by now.

Backstory: The werecat got separated from her original village when she was little and doesn't actually know what happened to any of them.

For some unknown reason, at the age of 3 the girl had crossed into the human world and unable to control her powers spent some years stuck as a common cat. A human family took her out of the streets, adopted her and gave her the name Catherine. They treated her like family and even got her a collar (it was a dog-collar actually).

For quite a time Catherine had really thought she was just a cat and was glad to have a family that cared about her and 3 lovely human siblings, but the other cats, however, would not interact with her normally, it was almost as if they were terrified of her. Now she knows it was because they felt she was, in fact, a supernatural creature, but at the time she had thought the other cats simply didn't like her and would often exclude her from the group.

The girl only came to know the truth when she was 10 and another youkai crossed her path. Once in her exploring through the town, Catherine met a strange-looking man and stood there, wondering all kinds of things about that weird figure in front of her. The man, however, had telepathy and as soon as he heard his thoughts he knew it wasn't a normal cat looking at him and so he decided to test her. He lured her closer with cat snacks, always keeping it out of the kitten's reach to her frustration. 'If you had hands perhaps you could take these from me.", it's what he had said, and with those words in mind, the cat lept at him. Then she realized she did have hands.

Catherine, no longer a kitten but a 10-year-old child, instantly panicked, and the strange man soon calmed her down and to the best of his ability, explained the situation to her. Dumb-folded, the girl wanted to let her family know of her discovery, but got told she couldn't and actually had to leave the human world, for this was not her place. Taking only the collar she had been given, the girl followed the man back to the monster world and was put into a type of orphanage/school. There, she came to learn about supernatural creatures and even meet other werebeasts like her. Now she's a sort of freelance adventurer, exploring the world and slaying evil beasts on the go.

Powers/abilities:

-> Shape-shifting (Human, cat, in-between [aka: Anthro])
-> Superhuman Strength, Speed, Durability, Dexterity, Reflexes, Senses (You know, cat)
-> Healing Factor (Can't restore missed limbs tho)
-> Claws and Fangs

Other: Before the strange man left, he gave Catherine a magic sword that talks to her via telepathy, named Avell.

Avell is like a portable teacher, he'll often teach Catherine facts about the supernatural world and helped her deal with her abilities when she barely knew what she was capable of. However, Avell is very full of himself and may come up as annoying when he starts bragging or criticising Catherine's behavior. The girl, of course, will often argue back with it. Her backpack has a built-in sheath for him. Avell can telepathically communicate with Catherine due to a contractual-bond they have (as long as she's in range). Problem is, Cath can't respond telepathically back and has to actually talk with him to reply. Due to Catherine's laughable amount of mana the spells available are all low-level, one of each element (Flames, Sprinkle, Whirlwind, Earthquake) and a sound-propulsion (Sonic-Boom) she often uses for enhanced jumps.

  • Name: Doralice Nye Coburn
    Nicknames and aliases: 'Licce (read as 'Litche'), Liss, Lice, Alice, Dora
    Age: 24
    Gender: Genderfluid
    Pronouns: 'He/Him' or 'She/Her'
    Sexuality: Heterosexual
    -- Quotes --

    "Don't worry, as long as you have me and my expertise, we'll be just fine!!"
    "Lies, I tell you, lies! I'm never wrong!" "Because, I said so."
    "What do you mean 'this is not how it works?' "
    "...I do not like your tone, mister/lady/[person's name]."
  • Personality: 'Licce's most notable trait is her confidence. While it is quite motivational when one needs to push through situations they're not that used to, having too much of it makes one into a reckless, thoughtless brat at times. Licce inherently believes that she is the best thing around and as such solves everyone's problems just by being present with her, quote, 'inspirational aura'. Sadly, those beliefs do not correspond to the reality as she has never been one to effectively solve problems or come up with original ideas...
    When asked a question, Licce tends to think back on solutions that have worked to other people or that she has seen somewhere, regardless of context or how similar the current situation is to those. Arguing with her feels like discussing with a wall. A really strong-headed, violence-prone and thick wall whose arguments eventually end with 'because I said so' and 'this has worked before, why would it not work now?'

    That having been said, there is some truth to her assumptions, the first one being that Licce is indeed quite the inspiring character. Being one to always look at things from their brightest side, Licce has a knack to see hidden talents in people, even when the individual themselves doesn't believe it and have been underestimating themselves. Don't believe in it yourself, but let her believe it for you. Sometimes all people need to be the best version of themselves is support, and that is something Licce knows how to do exceptionally well, cheering and encouraging others.

    Licce is a notably physical individual. She holds exercise and sports highly, often warming up before starting any activity and complaining when there's not enough time to do so. On the other hand, Licce's usual ways to display disgruntlement is to growl, punch people, stomp away in anger, aggressively throw things around, anything that is not words. To get her in a more rambling, talkative mode, one needs very specific day conditions, to say the least.

    History: Having always excelled at P.E. and loved sports, the one thing teenager Licce wanted more than anything was to be a professional Baseball player one day. Thus when the school's Baseball team finally opened a couple spots due to some of the veterans graduating, she had grabbed her friends by their sleeves and dragged everyone to the team's tryouts in a heartbeat. She was going to qualify, there was absolutely no doubt about it, no one else in her grade was nearly as proficient at sports than her, but on the third hit out of a series of five something spectacularly magical had occurred. At this point, amazed by the teen's skill level, the whole spectating crowd had decided to cheer for her as well, joining her friends' chorus. Hearing so many people cheer her name at once filled Licce with so much determination that her power was triggered for the very first time, causing Licce to perform the most awestrucking, perfect homerun possible. The judges were speechless and accepted her on the spot. Licce was absolutely in!

    Except that she could never perform said feat again. Every hit during practice was subpar, exceptionally normal. It wouldn't be such a problem had the circumstances of her joining the team being well, common, but Licce had been accepted for accomplishing the impossible. Everyone had been expecting nothing short than greatness from her and as such the pressure levels were almost maddening. It was only when a teammate mentioned that she seemed to glow in her tryouts day that Licce had an insightful moment of 'something weird is going on'. The discovery of the power was a true blow to her ego and self-esteem. Suddenly Licce was wondering if every one of her prowesses up until that point hadn't been a side-effect of it all along, having something greater than herself puppeting her accomplishments like this was just cruel... especially when it was such a huge chunk of who she was, her personality, her hobbies. Quitting the team, Licce had distanced herself from the exercise and sports she loved so deeply deeming it all nothing but a lie.

    It didn't last long, --though one could argue that three months avoiding physical exercise felt like an eternity for someone like Licce--, when a rope climbing exercise during P.E. would evoke her power to light again. The difference between this and baseball was the fact that rope climbing had been something that she had strongly believed impossible for her to do in the first place. Something that past Licce, would have never ever accomplished, yet here she was, reaching the top of the rope like an expert climber! That's when she realized the power didn't make everything a lie, the power made everything else into reality!! Thus, coming back from a rather dark place, Licce's ego was back with a plus, unshakeable confidence.

    Armed with this new, exciting ability Licce jumped head-first even harder in her beloved activities but found it hard to stick too long with anything for long. It was if having the ability to do anything perfectly even if under certain circumstances, just drained the thrill out of them fast. Everything became boring after a while. After trying a little of everything, her most recent endeavor being parkour, Licce decided that her young adult self needed a new challenge. That's when she decided to join F.O.R.U.M., it just sounded like something filled with adventure and excitement.

    Hearing about how her team, the L team, is regarded as the underdog of the corporation time and time again also gave birth to this burning desire to prove everyone wrong!!
  • The ability to accomplish any humanly possible physical prowess flawlessly,
    but only once in her lifetime.

    'Licce is capable of nailing that basket, hitting that target and making that jump 100% when her ability is on. It must be the first physical action after her power activates and she can never ever ever ever accomplish that feat again, save for a few extra conditions. It also has a cooldown of 5 hours.
    When her power is activated 'Licce gives of a veeeery faint golden aura, quite literally with 'a glowing spirit' and it remains so until an action is performed.

    Her power is triggered whenever her ego is at its max capacity, something that is quite easy to do but at the same time extremely annoying to everyone involved and the bringer of unforeseen consequences due to her rather... unhinged personality. To be even more specific, the trigger would be either a combination of determination and encouragement, if the whole team start praising, agreeing and pushing her forward OR a combination of determination and defiance if instead of support her idea is nothing but criticized and shunned, making her extremely stubborn and providing extra motivation to prove people wrong.
    The defiance method is not guaranteed to work and might just make her angry instead...

    One way to kinda by-pass the 'only once' rule is if the method of execution of an action changes. Example, you can throw a tennis ball straight, or in a curve, or with your back turned and each of these will count as different things. However, that only applies to the method used and not the receiver of the action. Nailing a shot at a dummy's 'heart' counts as nailing a gunshot at a heart, doesn't matter if its an actual person next time. The action 'shooting someone in the heart' has been wasted, unless she starts adding on method conditions to it.
    Targetting very specific things instead of a whole (ex: someone's eye instead of the person itself) also seems to help both when using her ability and when the intended action has already been spent. This on other hand makes it harder for 'Licce to act impulsively given that most of her actions need to be planned not to waste a move that could have been infinitely more useful in a different situation. Acting on impulse, without thinking of the consequences, could come back to bite her in the ass in the near future when a required move is no longer available.

    As such, 'Licce's ability is not completely useless, but requires thinking outside of the box time and time again to effectively make it powerful. There are only so many ways that one can change the methods of an action before falling into 'no longer humanly possible' territory and 'Licce herself is not that bright to come up with that many unique and new ways to do things.

    Homerun with a generic bat swing
    Homerun, spinning the bat before hitting the ball
    Hitting someone straight in the face with a thrown tennis ball
    Climbing up a rope
    Nailing a headshot
    Leaping across rooftops, with a running start
  • Skills:
    Parkour
    Fast runner
    Flying kick!!!
    Giving up last
    Ex-Baseball player
    Good stamina and resilience
    Good reflexes and hand-eye coordination
    Has a 'mean' right hand (for both punching and throwing things)
    --Weapon--
    Ferocious Barrage: A custom-made tennis ball launcher, painted in a camo pattern and with a claw mark design in gold on its right side.
    This weapon has been modified from a 'toy' machine-gun by 'Licce's close friend Matt, who may be way too much into cosplay...

    Its shots don't necessarily have that much of a punch, yet, are definitely annoying and distracting enough to make a scene, especially since instead of releasing a ball per shot, by pressing harder on the trigger 'Licce can also make multi-shots of three tennis balls in sequence, with merely a third of a second delay between launches.

    The gun itself is rather sturdy as well, making it a great object to hit people with, once you're out of ammunition or power. This thick plastic hurts like hell!!

    Equipment: Kevlar vest

    Other items: 6 tubes of tennis balls (3 balls per tube), two packs of D batteries (8 batteries, gun uses 6 per charge)

Emmett Neal Days

7d352886b8e4c72c400db96f98f8f55b.png

Age: 15
Gender: Male
Occupation: Student

Personality: Emmett is a gentle, excitable young man with an insatiable passion for nature. With an inquisitive and curious personality, he's taken into himself to observe all kinds of interesting fauna and flora, asking people about them and taking pictures when he can't ask others. With said method, the boy has come to learn names and information of an assortment of plants and animals, which he might or might not recite out loud when he comes across them again. Em is the type of person to refuse to cross through the grass in concern from it, despite being aware that grass has its own defenses towards that and won die so easily. Always observant, he'll a hundred per cent pull a person away of the way of stomping into a flower, with no regrets of doing such a thing. To him, that would have been a really big deal!

With others, Emmett is extremely warm, greeting them, replying when talked to and eventually chiming in when there's something he wants to say. At first, he might give them the impression of being shy, but that's merely the boy assessing how much new people care about their boundaries. He'd hate to be a nuisance so soon... Once those are established he'll start to get more open with them... Things might still get awkward, no method is perfect after all. Despite the cheerful, sometimes childish demeanor, Emmett takes everything people say with a grain of salt, especially if they look suspicious while they said it. He understands that not everyone is kind and that some people are just hell-bend into ruining other's days. He doesn't like that type of people, but still tries really hard to be on good terms with them.

To get on his bad side it's really not that hard. Scoffing and disrespecting nature is a big no, annoying people just for the sake of being annoying is another strike. There are all sorts of daily minor things that seem wrong that could do it. Angry Emmett is also stubborn Emmett and in the heat of the moment, he might get too worked up about the dispute to back down, though that doesn't mean he's unable to accept when he's wrong. He'll apologise right away.
Not a lot that can cause this young man painful soul-grinding cringe, but calling him 'End' or 'New Days' might just do it. Yes, yes his initials spell End by some internal joke by his parents... Yes, his name is a bit weird. But really, can't people quit reminding him of that? It's not amusing, at all.

Brief History: Growing up in the big city, Emmett spent a lot of time playing games and watching TV when he wasn't at school. The shows and characters were interesting but, when he glanced around the room and through the windows and talked to people he just couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. More than people, Emmett liked plants. He would sometimes stare at his mom's flower pots, admiring how pretty they were for a couple hours and the fact that they lived in an apartment made the interaction man-flora limited... Until the boy was old enough to travel away, accepting an invite from his uncles to spend a vacation in Eagle Pines.

Most city-bugs would be annoyed by travelling to a semi-rural place and being far from devices and technology. But not Emmett, from the moment he had stepped out of the car the boy had completely fallen in love, with mother-nature.

There was a forest right beside the town! So many trees, flowers, animals and even better, they had a huuuuge garden too! The excitement was real. The handheld console that had been brought along was barely fiddled with that summer. Promptly, a ten-year-old Emmett had started making all kinds of question about the garden: Which plants were there? How did they care for them? He wanted to know everything. And that he did, being quite proud of himself when he got called the official gardener of the house. When it was time to go, Emmett didn't want to leave. What followed was a discussion of the boy and his parents while he begged to stay, including him being misunderstood and storming upstairs to sulk. After a long conversation with the uncles about Emmett's weird outburst, his parents had come to a conclusion. Em would be allowed to transfer school for a bit in a kind of test to see if he could handle being away from home for a semester... And then the boy never left again.

...Except to visit his parents on the holidays of course.

At this point, the boy's initial fascination with nature has grown into a great passion. He kept being the official gardener of the house and has come to know a huge amount of trivia, especially about plants. Emmett wants to quickly finish school and go to college to study Biology even deeper! He is
100% convinced that studying fauna, flora, knowing how living beings work, interact with the world and how to help preserve said fauna in flora is the best job anyone could ever have in the whole planet Earth. He honestly can't wait for it!

Legal Name: Verena Obrist
NOTE: "I have abandoned the name entirely. The minimal you'll get from me if you use either of these words is being ignored. Prefered name is Aurelia, memorize that instead."

Nicknames: "Whatever you want to call me, really. At this point nothing it's going to be worse than being compared to chicken wings. Yes, that happened... Asshole." "Been considering 'Feather' for a codename or something too, it's simple and direct. Sounds nice."

Age: 19

Appearance:
18116acab7c0aa96703d727d01762cd467b60682.jpg

Birthday: "I don't need one..." "What do you mean with required? *sigh* Fine, it's January 16th, officially."
"Why do you even need this? It's not something important." "...Oh no. Don't dare wish me a happy birthday or plan a party... I don't want it, don't waste your time."

Gender: Female

Describe Yourself:
After seeing how the world doesn't reward those who work hard, and simply keeps on maintaining the already existent, oppressive order, she abandoned completely her belief in the concepts of good or bad. There is no black or white, only grey. And all variation of grey are only that, variations, they're still grey, whether her grey is almost black, and another kids' grey is almost white, doesn't matter. People aren't worth anything and once you're dead it was all for naught.. The world is an unforgiving place, once you're gone all you were, had or constructed, becomes nothing. There was no point to even working hard at all!

Following that life philosophy, The girl has become one to ally with the victor. Right now, The Dawn Familia seems to be promising, if not a stable source of income, but nothing keeps her from bailing out of it the moment they start having problems or the neighbor society seems more promising. She just wishes that, whoever ends up commanding this stupid world will trample over it's twisted thinking, and release everyone from it's broken rules and firm chains or maybe end it once and for all.

Aurelia has gotten used to do the best of what she has. Some people would call it 'fate', but she just sees it as 'accepting what you're given and moving on'. She'll comply to any kind of task she's given, and any consequences they might bring to her. Having a consequence means you're not dead yet, you're still here, breathing, choosing, acting, fighting, and that is enough by itself.

Despite the melancholy and apathy, Aurelia is the go-to drinking partner. She's not an alcoholic per se, but can't resist a good drink when she sees one, specially if it's whiskey. The girl doesn't just drink, she knows exactly how to appreciate it from aroma to taste. She's not one to party, at least not full night club mode. Going out for a more formal and casual drink, however, it's just what the doctor ordered.

She's detached, distant. The type to prefer more one-night stands than longer and serious relationships, but you might not know so until the next day when she's gone. Aurelia is a natural actress. After dealing with several types of people she has learned an effective way to lie: Mix it with the truth. Spice up your deceivings with something that's actually what you feel, 'believe' the lie yourself and react accordingly. Maybe jumble pieces of information and present in the order you desire, let them draw the conclusions themselves. It almost never fails. People are just too stupid and predictable to notice things are being hidden from them. At least they'll leave her alone.

Give us a Brief History of Yourself: Having been raised by a poor but kind and altruistic family of Swiss people, Verena Obrist was one of those children that wanted to believe everyone was inherent good and kind like her. She was lucky to have been born in a very accepting family, who despite the fact their daughter had little wings growing on her back, loved her very very much and never treated her any differently than others would treat their children.
In fact, afraid of how the world outside could be harsh, they had instructed the girl to hide the wings with clothing, even if it was rather uncomfortable. All they wanted was for Verena to still have a normal, happy life and despite their worries everytime she went out to kindergarten, until they picked her up, it was going smoothly.

Sadly, it didn't last long. On the way back form a family trip, a truck lost control suddenly and fell in the tracks. It had been so sudden, that even with her dad desperately trying to stop the car the reaction time hadn't been nearly enough. The couple took it bad, passing away later at the hospital.
Verena who had been in the back, firm secured to the seat, suffered nothing but a few scratches and would be just fine. She couldn't help however, the feeling that she shouldn't have survived, that she should have died alongside them, and that thought only grew stronger as her situation worsened.

No one the rest of family wanted her or even knew that she existed. Most of them had been left in the dark, shielded from the fact that Verena wasn't 'normal'. It had been a good idea at the time, to have a happy family without anyone else's input, but now that they were gone it had become an obstacle. The truth was out and the little girl who was barely eight got blame for 'dividing the family' if not when they made it clear that Verena was an error and shouldn't be allowed to stay with them, neither get close to her cousins. She grew up to understand the world itself was actually a cruel and unforgiving entity. Her luck had surely ended the day her parents died.

An orphanage became Verena's new home. One that was clearly dying as budget they had was cut time and time again, things and personnel started to dwindle. fter being exposed to such deplorable conditions Verena decided that she was best without it. So she escaped, and went to live in the streets.

By that time, she was 12 and had grown depressed and disillusioned towards humanity. In the need, she worked as anything she could get, including child prostitution. The was this one client however, some wealthy banker, that was extremely abusive towards her. It started with verbal abuse, that were heavy blows to the girl's already frail self steem, then came the overuse of force and outright agression without reason. He even broke her right wing in one of these endeavors! Verena put up with it for two months, nurturing some deep, destructive hate towards the man. In their next meeting she finally snapped at him, glaring daggers at that despicable human, she ranted on and on, or she would have, had he not leaped over her for the kill and interrupted her. He threw her over the bed pinning her down with his knee, a sadistic laughter erupting from the man's mouth, but he was reckless.

As he reveled in the girl pained gasps, Verena's survival instict kicked in and she reached out for a wine bottle by the bedside, smacking the man with it as he was distracted. He went down, just one blow had been enough but the girl wasn't satisfied.
In a moment of wrath, she kept bashing his head with one, two, three bottles, venting all of the hatred she had developed for this scumbag. When she realized what she had done, Verena Obrist screamed. The sight of her 'work' tainting what little of faith and sanity she still possessed. It took a while, but the ruckus atracted attention of the hirers, there footsteps coming her way. She panicked, the client was probably dead, if found, the girl would certainly be killed next. Thinking fast, Verena escaped through the window and after stealing some clothing and very needed objects for a trip, went on hitchhiking repeatedly with no destination in mind. She just wanted to be as far from there as possible.

It was one of the drivers that asked Verena if she was one of those 'heroes' and seeing as how the girl got confused by the question, explained her about [insert name of thing here]. It didn't seem like much, but it was a chance. Now Aurelia --Verena was dead the moment she had left the Orphanage, or so the girl had decided-- had a destination and who knows, maybe, just a little maybe, an opportunity for a slightly better life.

((I don't do brief, sorry~!))

Describe your Ability: "I fly. Yeah I know, pretty simple. Sorry to disappoint, if you wanted something elaborate, you're talking to the wrong girl here."
"I've had wings since I remember. They were little and didn't actually let me fly, at first. They were just, there. Mostly a nuisance, really. Then alongside me they grew, not only becoming quite hard to hide, but also finally doing something useful. Now that I think about it, it hasn't been that long."

Limitations of your Ability: "Most birds can't fly if their wings get wet and I'm the same. They're also incredibly fragile, wouldn't want to have them hit anything, or worse, fall on them. Would definitely break something and render them useless for the time being. The recovery is also a freaking bore! Like, an entire month long! ARGH!" "..." "Told you I wasn't the right person for elaborate explanations..."

--Appearance--

Details: Grace's artificial skin has cracked in several places. The most obvious one is at her right arm, where some of it has even fallen apart, showing her metal and wiring. Her maid clothes have also become rippled in several places from her adventures.

Sky is a pure white tom kitten, with a bandaged stub for a tail and a dirty, rusty and ripped purple collar, with a muted, now unusable bell that once had a golden color to it but now just looks like a strong rough orange. In the junkyard place, he'll usually grow grey with his fur ruffled due to dust and overall dirt getting stuck to it constantly.

Name: Model G-15 423.16, self-assigned name is Grace DAWN. The cat's name is Sky.

Age: 5 effective years of 'life' / Appearance of 18-ish years. Sky is still a kitten, about 6 to 7 months old.

Abilities: Designed to have full control of fully automatic homes, Grace is capable of understanding machine language (flashing lights, beeps and noises) and even communicating with them via USB port or Bluetooth connection.
She is also able to carry heavier objects than normal humans can, a car, for example, for the case it comes to breakdown and other heavy appliances such as the fridge or the oven for throughout cleaning. There's a limit, however, a bus or a full-on house would be asking too much of her.
Being a Maid model she knows cooking, house cleaning and some basic fixing (may fix other machines and devices if they aren't severely damaged, beyond repair.), though she wasn't built to be crafty and build new objects out of those, just know how to restore them.
Can also perform simple household tasks, like, changing a light bulb.

Personality: Grace has a hard time trusting humans. The family the owned her and seemingly loved her got her replaced by a newer shinier model like anything, so she is quite afraid to get used by them again. Get some sort of attachment only to be trashed in the end. Her programmed personality is of the motherly kind. The G-15 is the sixth model of a maid/babysitter series. As such, she's designed to notice when one seems concerned, in pain or just overall not okay, offering advice in return. Despite her best efforts, programming is programming, and she may seem a little emotionless at times, outright ungenuine.
The thing is, Grace's not used to having a mind of her own, and perceives her emotions as glitches of the system, unable to even begin to tell them apart or assign them a name. Her reactions are very robotic and predictable, at least most of the time and she'll answer to commands just as she was designed to do. Nonetheless, Grace is quite curious about the world, trying to piece together the memory files that have remained to real objects and real things. When Sky is in peril, she'll impulsively throw herself in dangerous situations to attempt to protect him, though she's not entirely sure of why. Life without Sky doesn't feel right to consider, but if asked about it she'll not exactly have an answer to give others.

Meanwhile, Sky is a real troublemaker and a little rascal. He's noisy, demanding, full of energy and just loves dashing in front of Grace and making her have to pick up the pace. On the other hand, there's a feeling of loyalty towards the maid, as she's saved his life over and over again at this point. Also bandaged what was left of his tail. It's in the tough moments that Sky's companionship really shines through.

Short Bio: The G-15 was a popular robotic servant for the wealthy and rich. This model had been bought by a family to serve their household and, it had remarkable babysitting and cooking abilities. After a couple of years, the model became obsolete was replaced by a H-17 and abandoned in a literal dump country. However, it hadn't been properly shut down, G-15 423.161, rebooted itself and seemed after living with the humans and then being betrayed by them, had developed a spec of a personality and free-will.
Her first other of business was finding a new name, it couldn't be the one that had once been assigned to her as she wasn't serving a family anymore. She looked at her herself, and found her serial number, now, blurred and old. It seemed to spell DAWN, the thing humans said about the sky when a new day was starting. A new day, a new life. It was a fitting word and was assigned as her surname. Grace was simply one of the G names in her data bank. Grace Dawn. That would be her new name.

Grace kept wandering the desolate land, it was filled with things she did not really understand. Then she found a fluffy thing. It was a 'cat'. A very dirty and sad looking white kitten, who was missing something. Half of his tail. Perhaps it had been attacked by some other creature? It seemed to leaking a red substance. Something told her that cats weren't supposed to do that...

Grace felt something different, (compassion perhaps?). She doesn't really know. But that poor furry creature had been forgotten just like her. Maybe it had once too, had a beloved family and a home. But now it wandered the arid planes with its life at risk. It didn't seem fair. The maid then rescued and cared for the animal, not really knowing why. When it recovered and was walking again, Grace felt even weirder, (is that what happiness feels like?), she had grown quite attached to this cat creature and couldn't let go of it. It seemed, cruel to leave it alone after all this time. The rescued feline was called then, Sky. It had gained a second chance by the hands of the android, it had been abandoned and was dirty, but, even so, it shined, it played, like the sky that grew blue at times and dark at others but even so, always returned to its blue and white form. Even in these desolate, barren lands.
Grace Dawn and Sky have been together ever since and have become each other's best friend and wandered then desert planes of the junk civilization of the broken and forgotten. Exploring, surviving, experiencing all sort of things.

Other Info: Grace's speech is primarily done in 3rd person, addressing people and things by their name at every new instance. When feeling a very strong emotion, like anger, it might slip and become a 1st person speech, which is very telling of the fact that the feeling or sensation is truly her's. She's also very polite and serious, albeit submissive and will often make use of technical and complicated words, and even technology jargons when she speaks.

• Basic
Name: Húna (Hyuna)
Nickname: Hy, Hyun, Yuna, Luna (Anything else you might want, honestly)
Age: Looks about 6 (but it's actually nearly 7!!)
Sexuality: Asexual? (I mean, she's a child...)
Nationality: Mostly Icelandic
Appearance:
4efa1bc3e85abe2c948cdee8788c3330.jpg

DOB: celebrates it on October 10th (World Mental Health Day)
Species: Zashiki-warashi, but more specifically a Makuragaeshi
Occupation/ Work: Being a cute child and everyone's pro-nap-buddy! None. Not now, not ever
Sin: Sloth

• Middle
Personality: Understanding, calm and amiable, Húna is highly empathetic being easily affected by the slightest change of mood in the environment, making her a real antenna towards hidden stress and unhealthy behaviours. Her experience on the matter really shines through when she's asked for advice, advocating the importance of caring for one's mental health, maintaining a balance between work/leisure hours and even going as far as to drag someone for a nap if they look too tired to keep doing a task, getting mad if they are stubborn about it because 'who cares about your deadline? Recharge now, type better later!'

What makes her the embodiment of Sloth is, --other than her love for sleep--, the fact that Húna is not a confrontational person, will give up easily on other matters and will not put any effort to herself. There's a world of things that she simply cannot do being stuck as a child and eventually all the 'no's and 'can't's just made her accept her position and stop trying at all. There's only so much time the girl will listen to complicated subjects that make no sense to her before she decides to stop listening altogether, her own self-care is sloppy and thought out to take the least time or effort, and while she'll stomp her foot down to stand up for other's well-being, the girl will not do the same for herself in fear of unnecessary conflicts. No matter how long she's been alive, at her very core, Húna is still just a child.

Strengths: Able to sleep at any place and any time, instantaneously and without much trouble; Empathic, easily noticing other's issues and putting them before their own; Listening to others and offering proper advice as a follow-up, on a case by case basis.
Weaknesses: Too emotional and stubborn towards certain matters and situations; Struggles with technology and anything considered too complicated for a 7-year old to grasp; Fears conflicts, disapproval and isolation; It's terrible at making herself noticed and/or heard.
Powers: Mild telekinesis, for efficiently flipping pillows and other objects (or people) around despite her age and weight. Also, the ability to induce paralysis (Kanashibari) to a person she's touching for as long as she's still touching them.

• Extra
Likes: Candy, plushies, sleeping, most foods, cats, hot-chocolate, fluffy blankets and a nice warm bed.
Dislikes: Being left out, persistence in bad habits (especially if they know better!), seeing people upset, overcomplicated things, getting told that she can't do something, repeatedly.

Random Facts:
- Speaks slow and full of pauses, as if her train of thought is constantly lagging behind and attempting to catch up;
- Doesn't have a last name and can't really see the point of picking out one since it's not like she's ever going to need it;
- Hair is normally a mess, sometimes even a chaotic mess as if she's just gotten up in the morning and didn't bother to brush it;
- Always looks like she's bored about life, depressed or even just, perpetually tired. There's a very slight, faint change whenever the subject is relaxing or sleep-related;
- Sleeps with a pair of plushies a cat and a fish (pink fish, blue cat) which she hasn't really bothered to name, yet. Keeps saying she'll get to it and not do so. Might throw a tantrum if they go missing, saying that she needs them to have a proper rest (this is a total lie);
- Dresses in merely cute animal onesies, pieces of shirt, (jackets etc...) that are oversized and cover her from shoulder to about knee height and boots that close with velcros (when not straight barefoot). Just, generally, things that will take the less effort possible to put on, without any consideration for practicality or dressing/decency codes.

I'll fix these later, whatever~

  • Name: Isryin Morgight Wardott
    Age: 22
    Gender: Female
    Class: Pugilist

    Personality: A languid, unresponsive and reserved girl, interacting with Isryin barely feels like interacting with another human being. More like an emotionless doll. Stoic, cold and distant, Is' training has effectively left her numb, often unable to understand feelings themselves or even feel anything. Life is taken in stride as it comes and goes just like everyday. Most out of place situations and horrible sights that would leave one shaken or traumatized won't manage to get her to say an 'ah', and her responses are always very direct and only in response to being adressed first.

    Eventually, peeking beyond the first layer, one is presented with a hardworking, extremely loyal fighter, who will not hesitate to make a blow if she has the chance. Isryin is merciless against those that dare hurt her or those she might care about, even if they themselves can't know it for sure. With a morbid curiosity and sense of humor due to having been desensitized to such things, Is is very akin to a child at moments, with no idea of how far is too far, or what is considered right/wrong moral/immoral to do. Overall, her quiet and reserved nature makes it into a bigger of a shock once the swift assassin-like, indifferent demeanour is shown.
  • [row][column=span3]
    Weapons, Equipament etc:

    • - A Pair of daggers
    • - Tiny hidden knife;
    • - The clothes she's wearing;
    • - One single potion, for emergencies.
    [/column][column=span5]
    Summary: Once part of the same family, the Wardott, traditional mercenaries rumored to have an agreement with the king of Luciellia himself, and the Morgight, monastery built by those who had throw away their bloodstained heritage for a sheltered, spiritual life in the mountains, had difficult relations with each other despite not being that different on their cores. Being born at one or another was considered a life-sentence and swapping destinies unheard of, at least until Isryin's parents hade decided to marry in an attempt to bring them closer together once more. She, a rogue curious about the monastery-life and he, a monk tired of the sheltered life, had stood fiercely against their respective families and eventually gotten an compromise.

    Isryin, as the result of such a union, has hardly known her parents as parents, and more like more mentors and teachers. Exposed to both rogue and monk philosophies at a young age, with parents that were mostly out on their own missions and devices, the Morgight-Wardott heiress had always been met with rigorous training, growing up surrounded by a strong focus in the art of stealth, physical maneuvers and mental balance, yet lacked a parent figure, so to speak, someone to go to for advice, to care and connect to her emotionally. Without properly knowing emotions and being occasionally dragged as an apprentice to missions, the stoic girl lived her everyday life avoiding to think about why things were, sort of just going with the wind until even just doing that had started feeling off. The world she knew didn't really feel like where she was meant to be.

    This life wasn't what she wanted, though knowing what exactly she had been lacking was just as difficult. Everything had just gotten incredibly dull. The mercenary work, training, it all just, was, without much reason to be. Isryin would then eventually reach the conclusion that she didn't exactly feel alive. To be honest, she didn't really feel anything but indifference and a dash of confusion. Maybe, there was more to living than what she knew. Other people had a whole range of different emotions which seemed interesting to have. Isryin, who had remained a pugilist exactly for not knowing what path she'd like to follow, had for the first time in her life decided something with all of her being. She wanted to meet others, she wanted to experience emotions for herself and to do that, she'd have to get out of her home and interact with normal, non-serious and stoic mercenary individuals. She grabbed a couple of her belongings and then left without notice, walking in the direction her mind was telling her would be a town.

    Adventure and new experiences awaited.

  • Nothing to gaze upon here.
  • Details
    Full name: Julie Taylor Luckett
    Original Name: Heigen
    Age: At least a thousand years old
    Gender: Female
    Race: Nekomata
    Occupation: Actress (In-Hiatus)
    Appearance
    A written description of your character's appearance. Don't forget to mention any sorts of body modifications or magical transformations. Feel free to link additional images here.
  • Personality
    At a first glance, Julie is a rather inspiring character. Daring, unafraid to say exactly what she thinks, stylish with a rather expensive taste, yet at the same time, understanding, willing to listen and gentle. The actress is the type of person one would be drawn to, someone true to themselves, persevering, determined and driven. She's pleasant to talk to, sometimes too pleasant and it's quite eager to help and offer advice. Really, a person you can trust!

    ...Or can you?
    What most don't realize until too late, is that Julie's character is a facade. The true Julie is vengeful, possessor of an unstoppable temper and a god complex. Yes, Julie believes herself to be above and beyond all rules, a being so intelligent and cunning that no one could even dream of grasping what her objective is, even less stopping her. Julie's actions are calculated, doing this or that to win the trust of her eventual prey and stay low profile until the right time to pounce. Her schemes can last from months to years, little by little, day by day, guiding her prey to a beast's mouth they're completely ignorant of.
    This nekomata takes great pleasure in watching other's despair and loves to move one or other stick to guarantee that things may eventually crumble down. What's the harm in playing around a little if humans are bound to die anyway? Might as well make that time fun, right? And if the poor weak lamb of her's decides to commit suicide, well, more enjoyment to be had and less effort for her. It's nothing but a win/win situation~
    Backstory
    Gifted to a noble family back in medieval Japan, Heigen, merely a month old at the time, doesn't remember where she came from exactly. The siamese's earliest memories are ones of happiness, with loving owners that fed, pet, loved her and even a human... kitten? as playtime company. Unfortunately said heaven was never meant to last. With war breaking between rival kingdoms the palace had soon been consumed by flames and barbarity. The once kind, warm home had been torn to pieces, her family tortured and killed. They had lost and the victors were nothing but cruel monsters... Yet, a worse fate was bestowed upon Heigen, imprisonment.

    In Japanese culture, cats were always associated with the supernatural and as such were just as beloved as they were feared. Thus, instead of killing the miserable creature and warrant its spirit's hatred, Heigen was locked inside a cage and given nothing but scraps to eat in the expectation that the cat would wither and die on her own. But they made a mistake, or maybe they just didn't know better. Well, Heigen didn't die. Even malnourished as it was, barely being able to get up the cat survived, its body powered mostly on its willpower, on its hatred for humanity. Eventually, the humans of the house started getting iffy about keeping the cat there, the darn thing just wouldn't stop breathing! Months, years later, it was still alive! Over the fear that the animal had possibly been possessed by a demon and could attract bad luck, Heigen was at least thrown into the dungeon to never be seen again...

    And a hundred years later Heigen would meet them again, turning each and every member of that house into no more than minced meat, then burning the entire place to the ashes. Their mistake? Not cutting off the cat's tail. The cumulative power of curse after curse she had cast upon her captors had given birth to a cat with a long, split-tail, supernatural powers and a long-brewing, earth-shattering thirst for revenge. One that couldn't be sated so easily. Filled with nothing but feelings of betrayal, contempt, disgusted and hatred for humanity Heigen began her rampage, at first with big, explosive displays of fire that consumed village after village seemingly spontaneously, but as things progressed and her existence stated being taken more seriously, Heigen had managed to enslave an entire town by fear. This is where things had started getting fun.
    For a small period, there was peace. Giving a brave townsfolk the benefit of the doubt, Heigen had struck a deal with the natives: If they built her a temple and offered a sacrifice each month, she would not attack the town and also protect it from coming to any other supernatural harm. For a place that had been suffering occasionally with the presence of youkai, it was a great deal and to be honest, Heigen had started getting tired of destroying things and killing to her amusement... It wasn't amusing anymore, just daily-life. Maybe she would have stayed there, at least until modern times, but someone had other plans. A supernatural hunter party had been called, one that was led by a monk, and for the first time since her 'rebirth' the Nekomata was scared for her life. Heigen hadn't realized that word about her had spread that far, that all throughout the land people were talking about a merciless demon that disguised itself as a cat and even worse, that some had picked up not only just her ways but counter actions for them. With a convincing act of her defeat, then Nekomata had been forced to flee. That had been the second betrayal of humanity towards her, the Siamese would not allow a new one to exist.

    (To adapt)
    From there on, the Nekomata started being more cautious. She would disguise herself to lure humans to her trap, or even use their own corpses as a distraction. Soon enough, she got tired of it, tired of playing with the humans, so she would stand by and watch they fight amongst themselves and perhaps use the dead for a meal.
    After watching them for centuries, she reached a truth, it was pointless! Oh, poor human beings, stuck in an endless cycle they're not even aware of! They fight amongst themselves and the winner gets the fish, there's a long period of peace but soon enough, there will be more fighting. And always for such pointless reasons! "Oh I don't agree with your rule", "Oh my God is better than yours", what a non-nonsensical, boring play.
    And then it dawned on her, SHE would free them! Her actions had been nothing more than freedom from this cruel and vicious cicle, and she had been nothing more than a Saviour to them. Humans, however, have been stuck in the cycle for so long they could no longer reach this truth. Huh, she would need a new place to live...

    A couple years later, the United States forced the opening of Japan to the outside world. The Nekomata waited for the perfect opportunity to infiltrate a ship that would take her to somewhere new. Disguising as a little stowaway child, she was allowed to stay within the ship as long as she worked around too. She hated doing something for this lowly humans, but had to keep her disguise so she obliged.
    After a long time, the ship finally reached it's destination, England. She left the boat, disguising herself as a normal cat and from there on kept hiding in vehicles and partaking on their rides, until she arrived at London.
    The Nekomata was amazed by all the buildings and machinery, oh! this would provide to be a far more entertaining place then her former home! But first, she had to pick someone to disguise as...

    ...In the end, she didn't pick it herself, but a woman was stupid enough to take the cat out of the streets and make it her pet. "Oh, you poor poor human, you have just sealed your fate."
    The woman was an actress, one popular enough to live an easy life and have loads of fans. Julie Taylor Luckett, or how they called her, Julie the marvelous. It would be an easy target to destroy, the Nekomata just had to make her life miserable enough so that the human would end committing suicide, and that the cat did. It played, charmed and tricked various humans into doing what it wanted to destroy that actress' career, make it seem like she had been hiding scandalous, terrible things behind the facade of a good lady.

    Julie didn't resist, when the level of gossip reached a level were she wouldn't be able to work in movies anymore, she gave up. When the woman was about to throw herself out of the second floor window, the Nekomata came to her, disguised as a young man and promised her everything would okay and that after this she was going to be reborn. Amidst the confusion of the lady, the cat craved it's claws on her and ended her life at once.
    The Nekomata then, took on the form of Jul- no. She was now Julie, and she would be for as long as fate would let her.
    She fixed the damage she had done to the woman's life and was now, herself, a beloved actress with an easy life, ready to have some fun with those pitiful humans of this new brilliant country.
    Confessional
    A secret or two or ten that your character is keeping (besides the whole masquerade bit). It could be a goal they're embarrassed about, something they regret, or maybe a sinister plot... or maybe it's something really silly they feel irrationally guilty over.
  • Mundane skills

    Now, listen here: After diligently working to win other's trust, Julie's way with words and seemingly inherent wisdow become tempting, a light at the end of the tunnel. It is easy to listen to her pieces of advice, be convinced of doing something, especially when the one speaking seems like a good-natured, knowledgeable, trustable woman who gets how you feel and is on your side. Why should you not trust her? She's just thinking about your being after all. Her manipulation skills end up unnoticeable, especially when aimed at an already desperate and naive person. They tend to blindly do exactly what Julie wanted of them.

    Bring out the barbecue: Not a 5 star chef, yet not a failure either, Julie has dabbled on cooking several times before to maintain the illusion of being a human, including whole family meals, she's also quite the living cookbook when it comes to memorized recipes. Her speciality? Meat dishes, especially those that end up grilled and cooked with heat. Things are even faster when she can ditch all of these annoying appliances and just use her own flames... It tastes just as if someone had cooked it on a bonfire! Juicy, delicious and a lot faster to prepare too.

    Dazzling, always: With an expensive taste, a keen sight for fashion and a constant wish to make an entrance, Julie is certified the best person to talk decor and clothing. That's it, pretty straight-forward. She might be a murderous Nekomata, but hey! Other women will probably get a kick of shopping with her, if it happens.

    Life is a stage, darling... And Julie is ready to perform according to the song. On top of being a natural-born actress worthy of an Oscar, Julie has harnessed for years an ability to impersonate other's voices and use of ventriloquism for when she needs to be on scene at the same time as her current 'puppet'. She goes as far as to study the person whose identity she's going to use, attentive and extensively, previous to her schemes, to be sure to imitate any unique intonations and/or accents as well.

    I put the cat on cat-burglar: Sleight of hand? You can bet. Breaking-in skills? Right again! Julie is an expert on getting in and out without being seen, snatching cards and wallets from people, honestly, you name it and she's probably done it before. Hooking up for one night stands to get into the places she needs to or near the people that have what she needs are also valid options.
    Magical abilities

    Blue Hellfire: Exactly what it says in the tin. Julie can summon a blue fireball wherever she wants to. It can either come to life on top of her hands or float around her like whisps, however, it can't be used in both ways at once. It's either for attack OR defense. The tip of her tails can catch on fire too, normally prompted by high adrenaline and anger levels. Once it is out of her control, the color of the flame will quickly fade back into a typical orangey shade, making it difficult to pinpoint her as the source of the arson.

    Shapeshifting: Limited to a human form, an in-between humanoid form and her original Siamese cat form. It's the ability that makes Julie extremely good at disappearing from sight and disguising herself.

    Puppeteering: Nekomata are well-known for two things, the first one is causing fires, the second one is being able to manipulate corpses like marionettes and use those to do their bidding and trick people. While not her usual go-to ability, Julie has used of this power to trick, torment and enslave humans before and it takes part on some of her favorite 'moves' to pull. Even with the restriction of only one body at once, there are tons one can do with such a power.

    Enhanced Physiology: Being a cat Youkai, Nekomata retain their feline counterpart's agility, balance and enhanced senses. With stealth, graceful movements, Julie is as fit as both an Olympic runner and a gymnast at once, capable of great feats of speed, flexibility and superhuman jumps. She can also tell when something is off somehow, similar to the ways some animals can tell when a threat or natural disaster is approaching. Or just being able to tell when it's about to rain.

    The language of my people: Independent of the form, Julie can understand other cats' speech as if they were actually speaking. Not that they say anything useful though, usually, they're just complaining at her. In a similar way, they can also understand her just fine, without the need for actual meowing, the only catch is that cats raised by people speaking different languages also acquire different meow patterns, making Julie have to, for example, speak Japanese to a Japanese-raised cat, English to an English-raised cat and so on...Also yes, cats can have accents.
    Failures and flaws

    24 hours and a meal:

    Meat or riot: Cats, unlike humans, are carnivores, they need meat on their diets and Julie essentially being a people-sized cat needs a lot of meat to be properly nourished. With a steady income of human prey to her disposition, that is normally no problem for her, but in a riskier environment such as Aldenburg, it makes so that a big chunk of the meat in the market ends on her shopping cart every month. If something were to happen to it, Julie could survive three days on normal people food before she started feeling indisposed and sick often, and her abilities began failing on her or acting weird. It definitely doesn't help that summoning fire just seems to eat through her calory intake like crazy every single time.

    Picky gut: Independent of the form she's 'wearing', Julie's metabolism remains the same. As such, most counter-indications common cats are subordinated to also apply to her. Alcohol, even in small quantities, can cause liver and brain damage. Chocolate can cause heart problems and seizures. Onions and Garlic in bigger quantities cause digestion issues, such as heartburn, and anaemia if consumed with frequency. Xylitol, a sweetener for sugar-free foods, is deadly for dogs and highly ill-advised for cats. Grapes and raisins are slightly toxic and make them ill, but the number one misconception went it comes to cats and food are dairy products. Yes, milk. As a huge number of cats, Julie is lactose-intolerant triggering vomiting and diarrhea upon consumption of milk, cheese, yogurts and the like.

    Not the same... Cats don't like Julie and to be honest, the feeling is mutual. Considered animals that are attuned to the supernatural, cats can sense that something is off about her and feeling threatened, will react accordingly to their personalities. Most will run and hide, recognizing that this new foe is too strong to fight over territory with, but some will react aggressively, growl, hiss and even attack her. Bold, are the ones who dare one of the latter options, or perhaps just foolish as no victory awaits the challenger.

    Yet, still a cat: Instincts. Sometimes they're incredibly useful and others they make life stressful. It takes a huge amount of self-control to resist when they kick in as Julie is forced to tense up and stand her ground while trying her best not to leap and try to swipe at a hanging, moving light, for example. The more her instincts scream at her to do something, the harder they are to ignore, until the Nekomata has reached her limit. If she's lucky enough an involuntary form change will not follow, but that's for fate to decide.

    Playing with fire: Catnip. This, is a really bad idea. Here, a fun thought exercise to make sure we're all on the same page: get a megalomaniac psycho, give said person hallucinogenic drugs. Now, imagine if this person also had fire summoning powers! It will make her more docile, flirty and silly, but it will also blur her rationality, leave her acting impulsively, without thinking of the consequences, also possibly hopping all around the place, setting things on fire like a happy child on Christmas. Remember when I said this was a bad idea?

    Better hang a Teru teru bōzu: Rain. Cats are already not that fond of water because it makes their fur all wet and stick to their bodies, but Julie also has an extra reason to hate rain: It makes it impossible for her to summon her fire. It's okay if she gets wet and that's it (I mean, it's not okay but eh), attempt to ignite it a few times and the water will evaporate eventually, but getting constantly drenched is a huge problem. The fire that's summoned will be put out in milliseconds leaving a short tail of vapor behind, and if there's no dry place in range for the flame-whisps then she honestly can't use it at all, not for offense and neither for defense. Wet and/or absorbent surfaces also don't catch on fire easily, the first requiring a dry surface first and the later needing to be completely dry before it can be ignited... Which takes way too much time!!

    I'm in! ...Uh-oh: Ugh, protection wards... While weaker ones will pose no threat to Julie and, due to her being a Youkai, Shintoist practices such as Ofuda and Omamori (when unexpired and actually made by a temple) will outright block her passage, with chants executed by actual monks and priests forcing her to move out, the most annoying ones have to be those that are just strong enough to get in the way somehow.
    Though not a common practice in the modern world, protecting a room or perimeter with ones of any religion/belief may still allow the Nekomata to enter but by locking her into a single full form while in the location, either human or cat, depending on which one she was using when she entered, which comes to be a problem when one needs their tail for balance purposes. Even stronger ones can reduce her control over fire greatly until it's only able to light up a candle before it fades and needs to be summoned again. Truly some irritating, nosey magic.
