"Yeah!" Hannah yelled in excitement as she ran towards the cannons and started firing them. Two cannon balls flew through the air and pierced through the other ship's hull. The sound of splintering planks could even be heard aboard of the Nec Aspera Terrent. The disadvantage however was that the men on the other ship now noticed that they had an incoming attack and Hannah saw how they were quickly preparing themselves to fight back. That wouldn't stop Hannah from shooting cannon balls though. Hannah just fired another cannon, when the ship suddenly dropped down in altitude, before stabilizing again. The cannon ball Hannah just fired missed.
"What the fuck was that?" Hannah asked slightly irritated.

Okay... fine! If Reginald didn't care, Yanaike would just stay in the control room of the ship. However she didn't feel like just sitting and waiting until the combat was over. No, Yanaike wanted to do something meanwhile. She looked around and remembered the book that Reggie had given her. However to fetch the book, Yanaike had to go to the main room and it was likely that she would meet either Reggie or Hannah there, and honestly she didn't really want that to happen right now. So instead, Yanaike decided to take a look at the mechanics of the ship. She fetched a screwdriver out of her backpack and took away the metal plate under the control desk. She crawled into the new space she'd uncovered. A whole space filled with gears of different sizes could be seen behind the former place of the metal plate. Yanaike was amazed and she started to wonder where they would be for. Maybe there might even be some unnecessary gears moving around? Yanaike used her screwdriver and detached one of the gears from the mechanism. Suddenly she felt the ship dropping in altitude. 'Maybe it wasn't a good idea to remove that gear' Yanaike thought as she quickly attached the gear again.
