Name: Mason (Yin Ling) Decker
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Asexual (Bisexual?) Is he interested in both genders? Or is he equally disinterested in both? The world may never know.
Appearance:
General Personality:
Mason has a rather brusque manner of speech, which erroneously convinces people that he has an honest and straight-forward personality. In truth, he tends to hide his thoughts behind a brick wall, presenting a simple, conventional opinion to his peers while secretly keeping far more radical thoughts within himself. Privacy is high on his list when it comes to most activities and he frequently studies subjects that have no relevance with the classes he takes.
People tend to avoid him for his temper, which is often described with the same enthusiasm as plunging one's head into a bucket of red-hot needles. Although he may come off as brittle and anti-social, Mason will often insist that he does care for a small group of people, the first and foremost being himself. As for the other individuals in this group, Mason treats the few friends he has with the same level of affection as he'd give to a stranger, leading most people to constantly question where they stand with him.

Backstory: Once upon a time, there was a beautiful kingdom, and just beyond this kingdom lived two very close friends: a witch and a dragon. The witch cared deeply for the dragon, but was unable to express her love for fear that the kingdom's people would hunt her down for blasphemy. A woman loving a magical beast? What a laughable idea. And so the years passed, and the dragon grew lonely, not understanding why his only friend grew ever so distant. One day, as he flew through the skies, he passed over a small castle in the kingdom and saw, to his utter amazement, a breathtakingly beautiful princess. For many days, he flew over the castle, hoping for a glimpse of the girl, and gradually the witch noticed his absent-mindedness. Realizing that the dragon had fallen in love himself, she withdrew into her magical tower and wept over her losses. It was during this time that the dragon kidnapped the princess and took her to a mountain far away from her home. The dragon told her that he was lonely and begged her to stay. Feeling rather sorry for the dragon, she decided to keep him company. The years passed, and the two were now deeply in love.
The witch, hearing of the two's happiness, grew strangely bitter. In an effort to cure the aching in her heart, she traveled to the largest castle in the kingdom. This castle was owned by the king of the land, and rumor had it that he owned every treasure imaginable. The witch asked the man for something that could cure the pain in her heart. Now, this King, being a rather devious fellow, told her to give her heart to him for the night, so he could administer the cure. Unsuspecting of his intentions, she cut out her heart. The very next day, the King locked the witch's heart away in a small, golden box and proceeded to march on the dragon's lair with an army of 100,000 hired soldiers. Realizing what was happening, the witch attempted to warn the dragon; but she could not find where the man had hidden her heart, and thus was unable to flee the castle.
Meanwhile, the King directed his troops valiantly from behind a large tree several miles away from the actual battle, and finally vanquished the evil dragon. Sensing the dragon's death, the witch entered a dark, bitter stage of grief. Unable to leave the castle to save her beloved, and unable to even retrieve her heart from the golden box, the witch threw herself from the castle's stone turrets and plummeted to her death. As she lay in a pool of blood, gazing up at a sky that the dragon had so often flown through, the witch cast one, final spell. Gathering up the life energy that seeped out from her fatal wounds, she used it to fuel a powerful incantation that stripped away the dragon's reptilian form and gave new life to the heart that had never beat for her. From the dragon's corpse emerged a man, yet not entirely a man, for the dragon's heart beat within his body. And it was with the dragon's eyes that the man gazed upon the princess lovingly. The beautiful princess and the dragon were carried away on the witch's last breath, and it sent them to a faraway land that even the King could not find.
Frustrated by this unfortunate turn of events, the King returned to his castle, determined to make the witch suffer for all the inconveniences she had caused him. He ordered her corpse to be quartered and drawn, then thrown into a filthy ditch for the crows to pick. But as soon as his servants sliced the witch open, out from her womb emerged a young boy. He was the embodiment of all the hate and bitterness that, having no heart to go to, had festered and grown in the witch's core. The servants could only look on in amazement as the child wandered off to a far off land, a faraway land that even the King could not find.
