Action-Adventure (Oh, how I adore adventure and cool combat stuff, epic scenes, love it!)
I have a current hyperfixation on Pokémon and I absolutely NEED to roleplay it. I have lore which I would say is well thought out that I'm working on. I would absolutely ADORE a Pokémon RP buddy to discuss and, well, RP with! Okay, let's go.
First off, please keep this thread clean! DM/PM/Conversation me, please! I'll try to keep it as readable as possible with spoilers and whatnot. Click at your pleasure, but please be aware that this stuff IS pretty important for me to put it in here :) That's all, I hope you enjoy my thread and that I find a lot of partners :D
One last note: when I say 'YC' in prompts, it can stand for either your character OR your characters!

First, a little about me. I go by Spirit and they/them/she pronouns with gender neutral language. I'm on the autism spectrum, which makes me able to focus on stuff really well, and even fixate on it. Pokémon has been a special interest of mine since I was fourteen years old!
English is no less than my third language, and that along with the autism, I may not always make sense/word things correctly. So please (kindly) ask for explanations if you need it, I'll do my best to be understood! If I'm correct, I live in the CEST timezone.

I really love writing and care deeply about my characters. One of my literal biggest fears is someone else running off and using my stuff. I also adore roleplaying. There's nothing quite like the happiness I feel when discussing plots and characters and planning our own story (I can discuss for hours and it's almost just as fun as RP!). Or when seeing my partner 'typing' or when getting a notification from my partner! I want to share that happiness, that pure joy with others.

A little bit more about me, I guess. I have quite a lot of pets. One of them is a dog, who, fun fact, we got to train up as a service dog for me! I really love animals. My dream is to be a published author. Whilst I'm taking a break from writing to focus on Pokémon and on myself, I did already start my first novel!
So, I do get really nervous around people. I promise you, I will open up, but it may take me some time to get that trust to do so, and even then, I'm still nervous no matter how long I know someone. When I open up however, I will absolutely try to be a fun person to be around. I will send you stuff (songs, memes) that reminds me of our characters and/or story, send prompts, reply to any prompts you send, and will even attempt to make my own (terrible) memes! If that's okay with you, of course.

One last thing; I do ask that you please do NOT draw my characters or RP scenes; I personally cannot (yet) draw and if you would do such a thing, I would want to be able to give it back and it would make me uncomfortable if I can't do anything back. Hopefully, I will actually commit to learning to draw soon so this status can change, but as it is, this is it. Sorry!

I know there is a few things in the fandom that can be real deal breakers or makers. So, I will put it all out for ya!
~Yes, I use in-game faceclaims.
~I play as OC's (sometimes from games or based off of games like Let's Go or even Magikarp Jump) and would prefer you did the same, but we can write the canon characters on the side.
~I only write Trainer characters, NOT Pokémon characters and again would prefer you did the same. (Of course, I do write as the Pokémon of the Trainers as well and would never stop you from doing the same; it's wholesome! Just nothing like Dungeons, no talking Pokémon.)
~I am currently on my first watch/play/read through of the Pokémon world. Suffice to say, it's my Pokémon Journey :) Freaking finally, because I've been into it for so long. Anyways, I've played Let's Go Eevee until the last Gym, Legends Arceus until Mai's Request. I watched Indigo League, Orange Islands and Mewtwo Strikes Back along with I Choose You! and Power Of Us.
~Due to the above, for this moment I would prefer a Kanto RP to avoid spoilers, and because most of my knowledge lays within Kanto. !!! This can get updated at any time as I play through the games and watch through the anime !!! We can ABSOLUTELY do more, I'd just like to START in Kanto, just for now! (I'll try and hurry up with my Journey, too, LOL).
~I do need some characters to make my own OC's and lore work, but I'm always open to at the very least discuss. I may say no, you may say no, it may not work, and that's okay :)

My schedule, to say the least, is weird. I pretty much reply whenever I feel like it and am able to. But I'm usually near my laptop and able to reply fast. I try to get a few RP responses per day in if I'm able to, and that's really how I prefer it, to be able to go back and forth.
I am chaotic to say the least, so as long as you don't spam me full every day with 'where's my reply' and all that, you are fully free to remind me if I haven't replied in a while. You'll find that I appreciate it, because most of the time, it either completely slipped my mind or I thought I replied already.
Mental energy plays a part as well. I'm struggling mentally, and that's pretty much all I'll say about that in this post. But it does lead to me sometimes not feeling up to replying or just not having the energy to.
I will always try to keep in touch OOC, whether it's just a hello or how do you do, or to keep you up to date of my current posting status. Feel free to do the same!

I am pretty sure that I do lit to semi lit. My writing style on my profile (which I followed the guide to fill in) says 'Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate'. I write third person, past tense. I absolutely ADORE setting the scene. I do play NPC's and side characters as well, to further set the scene and surround my character, in this case OUR characters! I can write very, VERY long messages, but I never kept tabs on my word count. Iwaku counts your words, though, so cool! I can, however, also write shorter messages if it's needed, like during combat or dialogue scenes for example. No reason to write 6K words only for the conclusion to be 'She threw the Poké Ball at the Pokémon' or something like that!
When possible, I do like to flair up my writing with fonts and such, sadly there is NOT a lot of copy/paste stuff out there, especially not ones that are compatible with the platforms I've used so far :( Meaning that sometimes, you'll receive a picture with text in it from me! Only text, I don't actually use pictures in writing. It's usually for handwriting/digital stuff and colors. Text is really my only focus in RP.

I'm a collab roleplayer! Like I said, OOC is super duper important to me, so I prefer a partner with the same level of priority towards that. I absolutely adore to talk about and discuss our RP and characters, sending ideas and filling up the world and plot with both of our stuff. I could do that for hours on end, literally, and have done so before. It's really almost just as fun as RP'ing itself to me, if not just as fun!
That doesn't mean I'll forget about our RP, however. Usually, the way I go is a mix of plotting/discussing and writing. I'm trying to become better at just going with the flow.
I do, however, need more discussion at the beginning of a potential RP. I want to know we're both on the same page, compatible as RP partners and can comfortably have fun together. I also need to know how our characters meet (and maybe why they decide to stick together). I will, in the whole RP, need to know where we're going so I know what to write towards!

I don't like to/want to end RP's. I want to keep going as long as we can and/or want, just really squeeze everything and all plot out of the RP as possible. And then, we can start a new one if we really can't keep going! Heck, we can even start over to see where else the story could have taken us, different paths or whatever. I'm not even resigned to do multiple RP's at once if we've been going at it for a while! :D

First, I write YA (Young Adult), so all my (main) characters are teens. I just cannot write for adults. I've tried making adult characters as young as eighteen, and I just… can't for some reason. Doesn't matter! Because this is the world of Pokémon, where kids rule (/lh). Either way, they are usually between the ages of 12-14. Please keep in mind; I don't care who you write as, adult or kid! I'm sure our characters will get along great :)
Furthermore, my preferred gender (or nongender) to write the main characters as is female or nonbinary/genderfluid/agender. Most of my Pokémon characters are female. It also appears that all my characters somehow end up neurodivergent. What a coincidence! (/lh)

I make character sheets in text. If I have a reference in the Pokémon world that fits my character, I'll use it. I don't use real people as a faceclaim and I would prefer it if you didn't either. I would LOVE to draw my characters, sadly I can not do art so I'll have to stick with Pokémon art for now. Picture or not, I'll always fill in the appearance description. I really like character sheets, because they give a basic breakdown of the character to look back on at any time. Details like birthdays, relationships, backstory or even what has happened in the story so far. Just a nice refresher to fall back on. My sheets can get quite long and detailed, and they can take a while to work on because I make a new one for each RP. But I will send one! Usually I use Google Docs, so be mindful if you don't want me to know your email/account name. I also take notes on the story for myself to look back on.

So, I have a stance on character control; that is, I'd like to control my own characters. I'll of course let you do the same; I would never write for someone else's character. The most I'll do is write what your character COULD feel. For example, through narration ('I bet Nidoran's Poison must not feel very pleasant, huh?') or through narration (The Hypnosis Attack would make Ash very tempted to imitate a Mr. Mime.).
Though I do understand that in some cases (above mentioned Hypnosis Attack for instance) it may need to be adjusted a little. In such cases… I'd like to still control my character. And I want to HEAVILY discuss how we are going to do whatever we are going to do.

I prefer to write on Iwaku, extra preferably on the threads! There is like, almost no limit to how much I can write, some fancy editing thingies, a WORD COUNT, so cool!
Along with that, this is just an awesome, super fantastic community, and I want to RP in it :) I am not new to Iwaku, but I'm not good with tech and I haven't RP'ed a lot here yet, only recently started doing that. I can promise you, though that I am going to do nothing but my very best as I bumble around this site!

I know Pokémon Death happens, but Pokémon is a thing I use to escape, to cheer myself up and to get away from it all. I would really rather not touch the subject. I know it does happen canonically though, but at the very least I'd want heavy discussion about how it's handled. As for Pokémon cruelty, I know that happens too, but I do want all the Pokémon to have a happy ending!
Note that there is only ONE of my stories that mentions Pokémon death in a backstory, this is a canonical encounter that I took. So, I think, that if you really want to include it, and as long as it's written well and respectfully and not just out of shock value/Nuzlocke, then we can at the very least discuss it.

I don't do romance plots, only platonic stuff. I know this is a huge deal breaker or maker, so I put it right near the top. I just don't want any of the characters I'm writing as to be involved in any romance whatsoever with the characters you are writing as. Including flirting of suggestive content, just anything. Of course, though, you are totally cleared to get your characters love interests of their own! As long as it isn't the main story or takes our story over, I'll be fine and rooting on them from the side :)

Another huge deal breaker/maker; absolutely NO smut whatsoever. If you do write romance, please keep it SFW. No suggestive content, no fade to black, nothing.

I'm squeamish. I struggle with gore. It is what it is. I am fine with what is shown in the Pokémon anime. If our characters do get hurt, I myself mostly keep it on sprains, small cuts, bruises, etc and again whatever is shown in the Pokémon anime. I keep my depictions of injuries very close to it. Of course, angst does play a factor, but, well, there's that.

I know horror is meant to scare you, but it scares me too badly. I get super nervous, super tense and I even get nightmares and trouble sleeping.I know whatever is 'scary' and qualifies as 'horror is different for every person, but I mainly struggle with 'if you do(n't) do this, that will happen' or 'it's already too late, this is happening'. Just fourth wall breaking stuff, chainmail type of things. Along with gore, of course. Plus, I don't want to do Pokémon horror. I just want the normal, cheery Pokémon experience.

Slurs, cursing with illnesses, queerphobia, racism, ableism, using disabilities as an insult, etc. All stuff I really can't handle. Now, I know this is a fantastic site, but I'm talking about IN character. Even in roleplay, I just won't be comfortable with it. Maybe VERY mild cases of queerphobia or ableism, but not the rest, and under very heavy discussion, probably when I already feel more comfortable and we've been doing it for a while. But let's keep it mild. I know it exists, yes, and I know it happens, but again, Pokémon is my lil escape, so…

Now, I know, I know… Rivals. They're kind of… grey area, I guess? As long as, again, it's done under discussion and I'm prepared. Besides, from what I've seen Gary/Blue is just kind of rude and arrogant, but not actually a bully? Maybe more so in the anime than in the game, because so far all he's done to me in Yellow is offer some back handed, rude advice and some arrogant bragging.
Anyways, due to personal reasons, I really can't handle bullying. It's a very sensitive issue, and I don't think I'll be able to handle it. I know this may sound dumb but please also don't romanticise bullying; I see lots of stories that do this and it bums me out (none on this site so far, though!). That's all. Just a heads up. If we ARE going to do something with heavy bullying, I would already need to have experience roleplaying with you, and I'd need to feel comfortable. Plus, it may still be difficult for me to handle.

This is more of a note than a trigger, because I actually play quite a lot of characters (if not all) that have some type of mental disability (I count my autism and whatever else I may have disabling, at least) or trouble/struggles. The thing is, I can't handle EVERYTHING. Things I can't handle are; self harm, suicide, body dysmorphia, eating disorders and kinda gender dysmorphia.
My characters personally struggle with; some type of neurodivergence, trauma, and just overall huge mental struggles that make getting through daily life difficult.

As I said before, English is my third language, so trust me when I say mine isn't always perfect. And I don't expect yours to be, either. What I do ask, however, is that it's understandable. Stuff like no punctuation, bad grammar, etc, actually makes it that much harder for me to read and understand your stuff! I won't be the type to nitpick every mistake or typo, as long as you're trying your best and it's understandable enough for me. I also know that, again, my English may not always be perfect, and I do word things differently, so if there's something you don't understand or if there's a mistake made, please point it out because I'd love to learn more. Just don't nitpick my every mistake, xD!

I think, for roleplaying, one of the most important things is communication. We need to feel comfortable with one another and be able to communicate, well, comfortably. If either one of us feels uncomfortable or has an issue, we need to know we can bring it up without any nasty consequences. I, for one, can promise you that I do not bite. This way, with communication, we can solve issues before they start to fester and become big!

I hope communication prevents us from ever getting to this place, but the truth is not everyone is compatible and long term isn't always possible. If, for any reason at all one of us needs or even just wants to quit the RP, all I ask for you is please, just tell me. I quite literally may be begging this. Yes, it'll be sad, but like I said, I don't bite. And I'd much rather hear it and know it, rather than being left in the dark wondering if you are okay or if I did something wrong. Especially if we've RP'ed for a long time, or just really had a great thing going. All I ask for is some closure, that's all I need. Thank you in advance.
PS: I am a very patient person (especially the longer we've RP'ed or if we had an awesome thing going). I will send interest checks now and then (without spamming). Feel free to do the same thing :) I'll always attempt to stay in touch when we're RP'ing, even if it's not to RP.

I feel at this point even though I've made it pretty clear with strong hints, it still deserves its own section; I absolutely ADORE OOC connection. I need it to thrive in RP. Rambling about our characters and plot. Deep discussions about our characters the plot. Planning our plot. Just little details, even to the biggest, most plot twisting plan. Heck, I even make up prompts that I type up for your character(s) and I am always very excited to get responses (or even a prompt!) back! I am absolutely the person that will send you songs, memes, even MAKE terrible memes to send you about our stuff. Or just stuff I think you'll like or that reminds me of you, the person behind that stuff! I'm always very super excited to talk to my RP partner, and I hope that excitement rubs off, and that I find someone just as willing to do as much OOC as IC. I could (and have!) gone on for literal hours just planning (and RP'ing!) back and forth, so please be a person that enjoys OOC as well!

It's that time, everyone! Time, finally, to introduce you to my pride and joy; my Pokémon OC's! I put a lot of work and thought into them for years, so I hope you like them!
But first; a note. You may notice my characters are kinda… main-character-y. This is because in their own story, they are generally the main character. This is not their story, it's ours. When I RP my characters, I always try to make sure to make YOUR character(s) the MC and mine supporting side characters. As long as we both share the spotlight, we'll be fine :)
I'd like to keep their backstories a secret for suspense, but I understand you may need to know more, so I will put them in spoilers. I don't want to catch you off guard.
I've also got a few canon character claims that I kinda need to make my characters' stories work, some MAY be up for at the very least discussion, others can't be negotiated.
Let's GO!

She's a blonde girl standing at around 145CM. Taylor has light skin. Her eyes are a strange mix between light blue and grey, though you can never really tell which.
Fun note: she is probably the main-main character of my Pokémon lore! Also, she's totally got autism.

Taylor doesn't remember anything before waking up in Celadon City and being told that she quite literally fell out of the sky. She was given a checkup by Nurse Joy, who declared her healthy; Taylor didn't have a scratch on her. Taylor was then taken in by said Nurse Joy and stayed at the Pokémon Center. She quickly got friendly with the Team Leaders and with Professor Willow. He offered to give her a Starter, but on the various instances he did… none of them felt right to Taylor. She refused every single one, and she didn't even know why. But she soon figured it out… Pikachu. There was only one Pokémon she could accept as a Starter, and that was Pikachu. Again, she couldn't explain.

Two years pass by. Willow and Joy look for a Pikachu to come in, somehow unsuccessfully. Taylor grew very close with Nurse Joy and pretty close with Willow and his Team Leaders as well. She often wanders around the city in a desperate search for a Pikachu.
One day, a boy with a Pikachu comes into town and Taylor approaches him. She learns that his name is Trace and he's looking for his friend. She confides in him. Would've Traded, but she's got no Pokémon and that Pikachu still does not feel right.

As they talk, Taylor senses something and looks up to find a Pikachu. With Trace's help, she catches it, but it causes an electric outburst. When suggesting to take it to the Pokémon Center or a Lab/Professor or something, Taylor points out Willow's Lab next to the Pokémon Center. They find out they both know Willow and go inside, where he's happy to offer his help. Upon releasing Pikachu from the Poké Ball, there is an electrical storm that blows up the Lab. As everyone else hides, Taylor gets up and … gives it a hug, effectively calming it.
From there, she's got her Starter and is offered a position as Willow's Research Assistant! Taylor accepts.

Sadly, during her Research, Willow goes missing and Taylor has got to go on her own Journey to find him back; hearing something strange going on at Cerulean Cave from Blue, somehow getting into the League with his help, fighting for all the Badges and then, somehow, winning.
Not only that, but Taylor is more than she seems, as well…

This backstory is JUST the beginning in Kanto! I will be adding to it as I play through the games, because there's a lot more that I already have planned :) Stay tuned!

Instead of Trace, Taylor meets YC. She can even meet YC when she's waking up, but that is beside the point for now, we can always figure that out later. But! Instead of Trace, Taylor sits down on that bench with YC. She confides in YC. YC helps her catch her Pikachu. She goes to the Lab together with YC. YC is/are the one(s) there to see her get taken on as Research Assistant.
And from there on, we'll see what happens!

YC finds Taylor, distressed. She's fully shut down and they need to talk to her quite a bit before figuring out what's wrong; Taylor's a Research Assistant to Professor Willow. He's gone missing. She's being blamed. But she did not do it.
Maybe YC know(s) of something strange in Cerulean Cave, or they still hear it from Blue. Maybe YC already planned to be in the League, or maybe they just decide to help Taylor. Whoever's gonna be in the League, they stick together from now on and YC gain(s) a loyal friend throughout their Journey. They will find Professor Willow, together.

Like I said before, this is definitely not the end of Taylor's story; I got so much planned! As a sneak peek, I'll tell you it has to do with Legends: Arceus! I still need to play through a lot before I get to that point, but I'll continuously try adding onto this with new prompts as I go on my own Journey :)
That being said, these are definitely not the only prompts, either; Taylor is a very flexible character and we can discuss however YC and mine meet. This counts for all characters, by the way :)

After fleeing from Team Rocket, Mewtwo still did not understand the world. It understood something, though; Pokémon needed Trainers. It didn't have a Trainer. It was… lonely. So, it created a Taylor. And a Trainer needed a Pokémon better than itself. It didn't want Taylor to get lonely, either. It created Pikachu for Taylor. They belong together.
Team Rocket found Mewtwo and it was forced to flee to New Island, where it built its emporium and swore to let nothing happen to its creations. Thus, the events of Mewtwo Strikes Back happened. Taylor was never awakened. Mewtwo was going to take her and Pikachu back to Pallet for them to start their own Journey now that everything was over and Ash (and maybe someone else…) taught it a lesson. Instead, Team Rocket pursued again. Mewtwo lost Pikachu over Viridian Forest, and Taylor over Celadon City. It was forced to flee. When it was safe again, it went to look for the two, but Taylor was already being helped and Pikachu wanted nothing to do with Mewtwo. It took Pikachu two years to find its way back to Taylor and it is clear these two belong together.

Lila is a girl with light skin and brown hair, usually worn in a messy ponytail. Her eyes are brown, and she stands at around 145CM tall. Lila prefers to wear sporty clothing that is easy to move in.
Fun note: Lila is Taylor's counterpart! They are designed to be the same and yet different in every aspect. Lila's name is pronounced just like 'Lilo' from Lilo and Stitch, except with an 'ah' at the end.

Note/Trigger warning: This is the aforementioned backstory that has an encounter mentioning Pokémon death! Please take care.
Lila grew up raised by her brother, right next door to Trace who was being raised by his sister. Trace and her quickly grew into two best friends, inseparable, close as two best friends could be. They had lots of sleepovers, were always playing together, and just overall never seen without the other far behind.
Lila's brother, Mike, was Willow's Assistant, so Lila spent lots of time in a Pokémon Lab, where she read every Pokémon book she could get her hands on. As a result, she's grown into a walking Kantonian Poké Dex. (Kanto is as far as she got before events unfolded.) Trace spent less time in the Lab, because he found it quite boring and was more interest in Battling!

They (Trace and Lila) always promised to start and do their Pokémon Journey together so they would never have to leave each other. Lila's always felt some guilt for this, being younger than Trace was, so he had to wait for her. Despite her encouragement to get his Starter and go on his Journey, Trace refused to leave her and deep down, Lila could only be relieved she wouldn't have to be without him.

Then, the day finally came; Lila's 10th birthday! First, Mike had some business over in Lavender Town. Since the two were so inseparable, the older siblings came to the decision that Trace would come, too. This way, neither had to be bored or lonely as the business was concluded.
In Lavender, it was immediately clear Trace was creeped out. Who could blame him? It was a pretty creepy town. Even Lila was uneasy. Mike gave the children his Charizard just to make sure they would truly to be safe, and left to go on his business.
Lila… sensed… something. From Lavender Town. She immediately wanted to climb it, but Trace was pretty sure this was NOT what Mike meant to happen when leaving the kids alone. After convincing him, despite the rumours of all the ghosts, they went inside and climbed the tower. They were, however, confronted by a huge ghost on the top floor and teleported down, where they saw Team Rocket kidnapping a Cubone.
Not only Lila but also Trace could not stand this injustice. But Trace's approach was more along the direction of 'let's get your brother'. Lila's? 'Let's go after them before we lose them!'
There was no convincing Lila of anything different, so, a bit helplessly and refusing to leave his friend alone, Trace followed Lila.

They followed the Cubone all the way to Team Rocket Headquarters/Hideout, where they snuck through and got to an office. There, they were discovered as Lila confronted Team Rocket. Truth is, it was Trace in the end that guided Charizard into Battle, since he was more knowledgeable about Battle, finding it the more interesting out of the two. Somehow, they won. Not only did they get Cubone back, but they also got a Silph Scope.

They took Cubone back to Lavender and it wanted to climb the Tower again. So, much to Trace's chagrin, they did, for Cubone. With the Silph Scope, they were able to reveal Cubone's mother's spirit, and put her at rest as well as give her a last goodbye with her son.
They went down again, and they couldn't help but decide to keep Cubone. They named it Cisko. It'd belong to the both of them, and they'd take care of it together.

By the time Mike came back, he was very confused as his Charizard needed a visit to the Pokémon Center, and the kids had a Pokémon now as well as a pretty much otherwise unobtainable gadget from Silph. Co. The explanations the kids gave Mike were chaotic to say the least, and they did get a talking to for not coming to get him. But in the end, Mike -and later, Trace's sister- ultimately concluded that the most important thing was that they nor the Cubone was hurt, and that they did the right thing.

They went home, and a sleepover was planned that day… but it didn't go through. Cisko went with Trace for tonight, and they both went to sleep in their own home. In a consolation sleepover, Mike went over to Lila's room with his Charizard, and they spent the night together instead. Lila had a strange dream about an Eevee, getting closer and closer… close to bursting out of the dream…

That fun sibling night went horribly wrong. Lila woke up to no Eevee. They were attacked by Team Rocket. For some reason, they were after Lila. Mike and his Pokémon Battled with all their might, but sadly due to Charizard's Battling, as well as Rocket's ill intentions, the house went up in flames. Somewhere along the whole event, Lila blacked out.

Trace woke up to his best friend's house on fire. His sister had to drag him away and force him not to go inside. Though no one believed him, he swore that he saw a Charizard fly out of Lila's bedroom window, carrying at least one person. It would take him two years of being unable to break his promise before Trace set off on his Journey; a Journey to find his lost friend and get her back.

Lila woke up in Viridian Forest, alone. Haunted by the events of that night. The first thing Lila did was go back to Pallet. No sign of her brother or his Charizard, only her house burnt to the ground in a crisp. Stricken with this, she did not go into the town; instead, she turned around and went back to Viridian Forest. She didn't speak since that night, for two years she lived in Viridian. Staying hidden from people and Pokémon alike; because since that night, Lila daren't get close to any Pokémon. She just scraped by, survived for two years all alone.

Until she had a dream. The same dream as that night; the Eevee, growing ever so close before, without interruption, bursting out of the dream! Lila woke up with that same Eevee in her arms. Lila scrambled away, only to bump into her old backpack. It was stocked with exactly… one Poké Ball, for Eevee.
There was a moment of deep conflict. Lila felt something for this Eevee, a strong feeling within herself and emanating from it. She already sensed a strong bond between the two of them. At this point, Eevee had already waken up and was just looking at her, innocently. From her memory of studying Eevee, Lila could've sworn the species' fur was a little darker than this specimen's, and that Eevee was supposed to have brown eyes, not purple…

Eevee had been respecting her boundaries until now. It shook, it pounced. And Lila embraced it, crying from mixed feelings. She couldn't refuse or deny this Eevee. Lila used the Poké Ball on it and named it Avi.
Immediately thereafter, she was attacked by Team Rocket, not having paid attention to her surroundings as she usually did. Her Avi gave it his all in Battle, but was ultimately too weak. It refused to give in, causing itself to collapse immediately after knowing for sure he chased them off and protected its new Trainer.

Desperate not to lose her Pokémon like she lost everything and everyone else, Lila finally tried to leave Viridian Forest and came across Willow's old Lab, located somewhere between Pallet and Viridian Forest. She stumbled inside, and then blacked out, overwhelmed by everything.
Once more, Lila awoke with Avi in her arms. She was then reunited with Trace after all these years, who had gotten a Pikachu not too long ago to help with his search for her.

She wasn't too keen to use the PC system at all, or let someone else take care of her Pokémon. The very thought made her scared already. So, instead, she got a new invention from Willow; a Pokémon Box! This allowed her to store and transport her Pokémon on her own and have access to them at all times.
Now, Trace and Lila could go on their promised Pokémon Journey at last.

Traveling around with Trace, Lila supports him in his Journey to become the very best rather than trying to become that herself. She found that she wasn't at all very interested in Battle, or in tackling the League or whatsoever. It just never seemed fun for her; all that pressure. Instead, the description that would fit her best would be Pokémon Breeder. Lila enjoys befriending and taking care of Pokémon. She takes such good care of her own Pokémon, she barely needs any Pokémon Centers at all to do so for her.

Lila is a very 'soft' character. I don't know what else to call it. Soft spoken in voice and gentle in character. She's super kind and caring, always willing to lend a helping hand. She loves spending time with her friends, and absolutely adores adventures with Pokémon by her side. She also, of course, absolutely loves Pokémon! Her Eevee and her are absolutely inseparable, and they're literally always together. If you see Lila, you see Avi and the other way around.
Sadly, Lila is also a very anxious and shy person; she takes a while to trust and open up and can get overwhelmed easily. Luckily for her, Avi serves as a sort of emotional support. Without Avi, she will panic, due to this. Avi often manages to calm her down, being able to protect her physically and emotionally. He's the perfect Partner, and she really spoils him.

Lila really is built for support. Rather than go on a Journey herself, she's more than happy - and honored - to follow along on someone else's. Don't underestimate her, though; even though Battle isn't her main focus, friendly Battles do bring her fun and she trains her Pokémon very well. Along with that, she takes such good care of them as a Breeder, they're often hyped up from that. And she's got her own Journey as well; striving to find out exactly what happened and why Team Rocket seems so keen to get her. Lila has to learn how to not let fear overtake her, but that fear is still okay to feel and to let herself feel it. That goes for pretty much all her emotions. She has to confront that fear, particularly that of Team Rocket. Lila has to find the perfect balance of standing on her own two feet and standing up for herself as well as leaning on her friends.

Like I said, Lila is Taylor's counterpart. It is well known that Mew and Mewtwo are each other's counterparts as well. Mewtwo… did… something. Which I cannot say. Due to spoilers for another character (Taylor). So, in return, Mew did something back; it created Lila. At the very least, it created memories for Lila and altered the memories of those around her heavily to make it seem she'd always been there. No one really knows for sure, due to, well, memory altering. And due to Mew's playful personality, it either doesn't know itself or doesn't give a clue.

As far as Lila knows, her childhood was safe and makes her feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Trace remembers growing up with Lila as his best friend.
Her brother? He's got no idea where this little girl came from. All he remembers is his chosen care for her.

Mew attempted to also create a Pokémon Partner for her, but it got interrupted by Team Rocket's attack. It was forced to retreat to not get captured by Team Rocket, and since Lila was safe for now, it had no choice but to stay in hiding and not endanger her or itself again. After two years, due to reason I again cannot say, it reached out to her again and finally gave her her Partner. And that's when Lila's Journey started.

So, this is an idea I just got, I don't actually know if it will work. But that's why you try things. So, if you are willing to take a chance that may or may not work out, I should be willing to, as well.
Instead of Trace, it's YC that Lila grows up with. Throughout all the events of her backstory, it's YC that is her best friend and it's YC that goes to look for her. And it's YC that goes on their eventual Journey with their best friend by their side!
YC is going through Viridian Forest for… whatever reason. They meet a girl there. She seems caught in the act when YC locks eyes with her, then she flees. The girl also seems absolutely TERRIFIED if YC has any Pokémon out of their Poké Balls, or even if they have Poké Balls at all.
YC fails to get through to them, but they happen to run into each other again when she's getting attacked by Team Rocket. Strangely, she has an Eevee with her this time, despite her fear of Pokémon, and it seems very protective of her.
When going for help, YC will find Willow's Lab and go into it with Lila, and find out just what happened; the fire, her going missing, etc. From there on, Trace, Lila and YC go on their Journey together!

Raya has tan skin. Her hair is black. And her eyes are so dark, they may as well be black, too. She stands at around 155CM. She usually wears black, dark clothing, but apparently style is important to her as well. And as long as it doesn't stand out too much, Raya doesn't mind mixing up SOME color, as long as it isn't bright.

I named this 'Character' instead of 'Original Backstory' because I can't say much about her backstory without spoiling it all. So, instead, I'm going to talk about the present day and the future! It's gonna be lovely, so buckle in for the ride.

Raya is in Team Rocket. She travels around with Jessie, James and Meowth. Raya carries around exactly one Poké Ball, but she doesn't ever use or open it. If anything, she seems scared of it.
Ironically, she is nothing like Jessie, James, Or Meowth; in the way that she could actually do it if she tried. But whereas they're really trying, she's… really not. Raya never really participates in their silly schemes and plots, and even if she does, it's only half hearted, as if she'd rather be anywhere else than here. When they 'blast off', instead of taking matters into her own hands, she just goes after them to 'she'd better', or because she 'has to go get those fools back now' or something like that. This often leads to her being seen as lazy by Team Rocket and maybe even by YC(s). Raya herself gives a lot of half hearted reasons for this, but really, they're not that good reasons if you stop and think about them, and if you really stop and think about them, they may even sound like excuses… So, is she lazy, or is there something else going on here?

Even if you get to know her better, the uncaring attitude does not end there. She's in Team Rocket and she has no interest to befriend 'the enemy'. However, if you manage to get through to her, it gets easier to see the true girl inside that uncaring shield of walls; a girl with a lot of conflicted feelings, somehow guilt, and a lot of anger, under which hides sadness. Overall, Raya seems -and is- really anguished.
Usually, Raya stands off to the side and talks in the language of sassiness, sarcasm and a lot of snippy and snappy replies. Any attempts to talk or try to interact are usually brushed off, or attempted to at least. Be mindful that it will take a while and a lot of difficulty to get through to Raya, but the work will pay off.

Because once you get through to her, you have a strong, and super loyal ally. One that is so hardworking, she's nothing like the 'lazy' girl she was in Team Rocket. One that works so hard, she needs to be forced to stop and rest now and then, because she will absolutely not do so on her own.
One who's quest for vigilantism is clear; fight against Team Rocket and try to ease, undo and prevent the suffering they bring upon people and Pokémon alike.
Though even if you do get her on your side, that still doesn't end her massive attitude. Raya will always be kinda rude and her language truly is snippy, snappy sarcasm and sassiness. What won't change either is her mental anguish; she's got a lot of guilt to make up for and feels the need to take everything on her own shoulders.

Okay, so buckle in for Raya's backstory. First off, I'm aware of Silver and that there's a whole plot about Rocket in Johto. I'm also aware there's more evil Teams in other Regions. Sadly, I am still in Kanto, so for now, this is it. But it is NOT DONE!!! I just really want to RP her :') If you want, we can always begin a new plot once I get to where I need to be to update her story or we can make up an in-RP reason as to why Silver wasn't there at first.
Delia Ketchum has canonically had something with Giovanni, and Ash's father is unknown. I took this in my own hand for the lore.
When Delia was even younger than she is today, she met Giovanni. She did not know of any of his dealings, and Team Rocket was only just getting started by him, which he kept hidden from her. So, she fell in love with him as he wooed her. Eventually, Delia fell pregnant. This is when Giovanni revealed his true colors. Delia tried to get away from him, and for a moment, everything seemed to work out, except that she was now heartbroken and a single future mom.

Delia gave birth to twins. She was resting in bed when Giovanni dropped by. He did a little speech, of which the conclusion was that since Delia left him like that, and especially since she had twins, it was 'only fair' that they both got one. Delia cried, sobbed, screamed, begged him not to take one of the children, but he took one anyways. He 'let' her keep Ash. And he 'let' her name her little girl; Raya.

Raya was then hidden from the world so well that no one could find her, no matter how hard they tried. And Delia tried, even involving the police, making Raya a missing person until today.
She was raised by Giovanni isolated from the world, never leaving the Rocket Hideouts or Headquarters as long as she remembered. Raya was told that Pokémon were dangerous monsters, and Rocket were heroes for doing what they did. Trainers? They were bad people.

The twins' tenth birthday came up. Sadly for Ash, his oversleeping was so bad, that he did, in fact, NOT get a Pokémon, and the next generation of Trainers wasn't set to leave for another… four years. He was still stuck in Pallet.

On the same day of Ash's failure to get a Starter, Raya snuck out. She went outside, very careful for these 'monsters', the stories of which her father entrusted her with, confiding in his daughter. And the stories that the Grunts and other Rockets would scare her with.
But… she saw nothing. And eventually, Raya found something. She found a sad looking, seemingly abandoned creature with a weird red and white ball. Raya felt so bad for it, she took it with her, but she couldn't help but wonder if this was one of the 'monsters' her father and Team Rocket warned her about?

She managed to get the creature inside safely, along with its 'toy ball', which she also took for it. Raya hid it in her room. They were both scared of each other at first; the creature would approach, but get scared by Raya getting scared, and when Raya would gather up the courage to approach, the creature would act skittish. It looked so cute and sad, though, and it wasn't acting like a scary monster at all. Plus, it seemed someone just abandoned it. It looked in a bad state.

It was actually Giovanni's deadbeat father behaviour and the general disinterest the Rockets had in the child that saved them both. Like that, she managed to sneak in food and other stuff to her room without it getting suspicious. Slowly, they started to gain each other's trust, and the creature even let Raya bathe it. Giovanni was so deadbeat, and the Rockets were so bad at babysitting, that no one ever noticed the creature, or the noises coming from Raya's room, or her odd, secretive behavior. Or if they did, they didn't seem to care, at least not enough to act on it.

Until one day. It all went wrong. It was the twins' twelfth birthday. A normal day for Ash, but not so much for Raya. She was set to go to Rocket Training Academy, (possibly?) the youngest recruit ever. She did not know this yet, and was busy with her friend in her room. At this point, the creature had such a high friendship… that it evolved due to Raya's care for it.
Poor little Raya, who already knew nothing about Pokémon other than that they were 'dangerous monsters' got scared so badly, she threw the first thing she could get at it; its toy, the red and white ball. To her shock, the new creature standing before it got absorbed into the ball in the form of energy and trapped there.

This is when Giovanni came in to see her capture the Pokémon. Raya, at this point, was a terrified child. She'd just witnessed her friend, which she was now convinced was a Pokémon, turn into something else. Her father was right; Pokémon WERE monsters. She was shaken up by this encounter, simultaneously begging her father for forgiveness and seeking comfort from him. Giovanni did not reciprocate her need for comfort, and just stood there. He pushed her away and stepped into her room, furthering her conviction of what she'd just been through as 'proof' and solidifying her fear for Pokémon. He then went on to tell her she'd be shipped off to Rocket Academy, and left.
Raya never opened that Poké Ball again.

She kept the Poké Ball, however. She kept it all the way through her training, but absolutely refused to train with her Pokémon. She just trained on her own, and with others' Pokémon. Raya quickly proved herself to be hardworking, fit, strong, and an expert Battler. She absolutely rocked the training and graduated from Rocket Academy a little before her fourteenth birthday.
Because she was so good, she was put with the blundering Team Rocket Trio Jessie, James and Meowth.

Sadly, this did not turn out the way Giovanni had hoped. Instead of bringing the team up, they brought Raya down. Despite being Giovanni's daughter, top agent, most trusted, etc, etc, she is stuck with the Trio and with her own feelings. And with her Poké Ball, filled with an old friend.

Raya's character is redemption. So, the idea is that instead of Ash, it'll be YC meeting her. Team Rocket will be bothering, following and harassing YC for their Pokémon or anything else. And it'll be YC that eventually redeems Raya and gets her as an ally. She may still have the uncaring attitude, but she cares. Raya cares, a lot. YC will gain a powerful, strong ally. Raya will remain loyal to YC, more than she's ever been to Team Rocket. She will grow protective over YC. But, the anguish and guilt are something that will stay with her, the latter of which she'll do anything to try and 'make up' for whatever she's done. Which, in reality, is not really anything. Raya still carries that guilt, though.
Basically, the RP will follow YC's journey and Raya's redemption and then their journey together!

Just like with replacing Trace with YC for Lila, I've never actually done this. I don't know if it'll work. But, again, if you're willing to try a risk that may or may not work, I'm willing to as well.
Instead of Delia and Ash being Raya's family, it's YC! The rest of the prompt will be the same as Rocket Renegade.
