(( Haha! XD I've been meaning to change that thing for ages. Just haven't gotten around to it yet, lol ;p ))

Damien shook his head in the negative, although he wasn't sure if she could see it. "I don't know," he answered in honesty. "Probably just the wizards though." He slowed their pace down to a light log, them finally a quick walk as they ventured deeper into the woods, so that they might conserve some energy for later.
It didn't take him long to find the clearing that was encircled by a ring of mushrooms. He cautiously walked to its middle and inhaled deeply. "Hold your breath," he warned.

((personally I like Spyro the purple dragon lol))
Kieara followed after glad he'd slowed his pace. She needed to catch her breath. The nymph followed him closely though and when he came to the ring of mushrooms she looked around curiously. She wanted to be close to her savior, so she flitted her delicate wings and landed at his side doing as he asked and holding her breath.

Damien smiled briefly at her, when a cloud of dust rose up from where the ground was supposed to be, shrouding the two of them in dirt and grit. A very unpleasant way to start a journey, he would admit, but it was helpful in stopping others from being able to pursue them, more often than not choking the expecting follower. The ground had crumbled to dust beneath their feet and soon they were falling. Falling very, very far.

Kieara began to panic. She gripped a hold of the man and instinctively began to flap her pretty wings. It did little to slow their descent. What on earth was he trying to do!?

Damien smiled lightly at the girl's panic understandingly. He had been the same when he had first tried an entrance the the tunnels. He reassuringly rested his hand over the girl's where she was gripping him tightly, and just as he did, they fell through a yellow light that immediately forced them to slow against the force of the gravitational pull downwards. They were floating to the bottom now.

She was still shaking and flapping her wings though the slowing and his hand seemed to calm her panic a little. "What is going on!?"

"Relax and try to focus on breathing slowly," he advised carefully, a worried expression on his face. Maybe he should have warned her before they fell in the black pit into a free fall. "The tunnels are deep under the ground, so the fastest way to reach them is like this. Otherwise it would take hours of skilled climbing. What just happened is that we went through an energy bubble that has temporarily sped up our movements and reflexes so that it seems as if time, or ourselves, have slowed down. When it's actually the opposite. Any other questions before we reach the bottom?"

Her face paled at his explanation. "So we're moving...faster?!" She was stuck in panic mode. "How will we survive the hit!?" She asked desperately as she looked at him. "I'm scared!"

He took a deep breath in and nodded once, deciding to speak slowly so as not to alarm her any more than he already had. "Everything around us is moving slowly. Meaning we will hit the ground slowly and unhurt because we are moving faster, so we can catch ourselves." He watched her worriedly, trying to catch her eye so that she could focus on something other than the sensation of falling. An idea came to him. "Or, if you prefer it, I could hold you and land both of us so you don't have to worry about it as much...?" he offered, unsure if she would be alright with that idea.

The poor girl was scared out of her mind. She didn't understand his logic. To her it didn't make any sense. She spoke. "Y-yes! Please! I'm scared I can't do it!" She spoke to him in pure panic. She hoped he didn't mind. She was just scared.

Damien felt immediate pity for the girl. The ground was coming up and he didn't want her to have a heart attack as soon as she noticed. He quickly pulled her into a tight embrace against his chest, both arms wrapped firmly around her waist. "Shh..." he hushed her softly, lightly stroking her back.

She gripped him and held him as he pulled her into his arms. Her wings folded behind her to make it easier. She felt safe in his arms for some reason. His embrace was nice and she liked it. After a few moment she seemed to calm considerably. It was then she felt bad for her actions. "T-thank you..."

"It's alright," he said understandingly, as they continued their slow descent. The floor was coming into sight, from what he could tell over the girl's shoulder, and they would be landing soon. He angled his toes downwards to ease the touchdown into a single, graceful movement that started with the balls of his feet and ended with the girl's hair falling delicately around her shoulders. Damien held her for a second longer to assure himself that she wouldn't fall, then released her warm, soft body from his, letting his hands fall by his side. "That wasn't so bad," he noted in a whisper, afraid his voice would carry as an echo through the tunnel.
Around them was not the generally expected, mud walls and dirt floor design, but a spacious area with a high, painted ceiling, stone pillars and a marble floor. The only sign that the place was aged being the occasional crack along a surface and minute trail cobwebs from spiders who had long since died from lack of insects.

She felt more at ease once she was completely on the ground. She felt her hair fall around her shoulders and her eyes looked up at him. She spoke. "Thank you." She couldn't help but enjoy he ride with him down. She looked at the walls and then spoke again. "Where are we?"
