Jake tried to think of something to say. " Well.....you can't go with that wound on you"

"At least two weeks." Jake said with a sigh.

Kieara frowned and spoke. "Will...Will I be ok without water?"

"Uh......" Jake wasn't sure. "We have water at our home."Alena assured.

((So sorry I didn't reply! It didn't show up in alerts or I missed it one))

She nodded slowly to them.

Jake slowly helped her onto her feet, keeping an arm wrapped around her to keep her steady. Alena grabbed the items they brought and they started to climb the cliff with Jake in front with Kieara and Alena behind them.

Kieara held onto the horse for dear life fearing what would happen if she didn't.

Soon after, Jake was tending to Kiearas wound. He had placed her in his bed and was gently stitching the wound.

"Thank you." She murmured having calmed down now.

Jake smiles a bit as he sewed. "You're welcome." After a minute, he slowly asked her a question. "Are you really a mermaid?"

"Yes." She paused. "Are...you really a human?"

Jake chuckled, finding it amusing. "Yes I am."

She didn't know why he was laughing and fell silent.

Jake stopped after he realized he was making her uncomfortable. "Sorry." He said and tended to the wound again. "I've never a mermaid before."

"We were always told humans were dangerous not to go near them." How she got the cut was still a mystery.

"I can understand why you would think that. But you don't need to worry about me. I won't hurt you." He reassured.

She smiled at that. "Okay then." She said still laying still.

Jake smiled and finished stitching the wound. "There we are."
