Legend of the Turobian King

Darion's mind had one thing on it right now and one thing only, Yukari. Everything else around them was faded out and didn't exist in the moment at all, not even the tree he pressed her against. The moment got so intense he couldn't even utter any words out or say a simple letter. He wasn't going to talk anymore, just continue kissing and pouring himself onto her, coursing his intensity in the kiss. Their lips were like a jigsaw puzzle completed. But the way the two were going at it, the puzzle was going to melt of passion and heat.

As her arms closed around his neck, his hands slid up from her sides up to under her arms leaving them there. This was so she didn't slip or fall any other way but back against the tree. In no way did he want to stop or consider stopping now, they had progressed further than what it was supposed to be. Darion enjoyed every second of it and even..Let out a slight moan at their kissing which was really hard to hear due to both of them concentrating everything on what was goin..

Oh..my..god..

She..She was kissing his jaw, cheeks, and his..neck. Fondling his skin with her lips made him so dark and caused his body to push more onto hers. His hips pushing into hers with no planning behind it, as he leaned his head back as she continued kissing along his neck. His mouth opened trying to tell her it was right, but he couldn't say anything but make simple sounds. Along with that, he nodded his head as he pushed into her lips wanting her to take more of his skin. Darion was enjoying it so much he bit his lip and closed his eyes, another moan of pleasure which was louder than before...Damn it..Kari would probably hear this one. He wanted to feel more of her, so she would be able to feel what he did. But what could he do? When it came to this he was clueless..Perhaps..

Darion's hands moved again from under her arms towards her chest. With no signs of hesitation, he glided his hands over her breasts squeezing them as she sucked on his neck. Kari at this point would probably break the kiss and kick him..He was still waiting for it to happen..But Darion didn't regret anything he did. Not one second of it.

She slipped over something when his hips pushed against hers. She didn't know if he knew he had done the action that roughly, but the effect was...fine with her. Her foot slipped on an under root from the tree her back was clasped again. With her hands holding his arms firmly, she slipped and brought him down with her. The two of them slid down the tree, the bark catching into her back on occasion. If her lips weren't smothered by his skin, she would have gasped out in pain, but, instead, she sunk her teeth into his neck.
Pain for pain.

The two of them continued to careen down to the forest floor, probably upsetting Dust as bad as he could have been. Though, why in the world would she be worried about the metal state of a horse? She had Darion. And his skin.

And he had her breasts.

Was it silly for her to be surprised that she actually had the two? It had been so very long since she had to actually bring her attention down to them. Usually, it was only when she was bathing, naturally needing to clean under the cups and curves of them. It was routine that had to be done, meaning that she had to direct some attention to them. However, now she had to direct some attention to them because Darion was directing his attention to him. Kari's lips left his skin, her breath lingering there before she bent her head up, fighting through the wave of passion that waved through her lower abdomen at the touch. She looked into his eyes tenderly, her face clear of any expression, only wanting to ask him one thing:

"....What are you doing?"

It felt like they were dropping as she continued sucking his skin. He couldn't tell, his eyes were shut tightly and weren't going to open anytime soon. But he heard the sound of bark cracking and his legs bending more and more. They were descending to the base of the tree. It wasn't like he could pull away either, she had him tightly between her teeth and for him to pull away would hurt more than being pleasing him. Dropping to his knees keeping himself close to her. Oh how good it felt, how being with Kari made him feel, and everything..

"....What are you doing?"

Darion opened his eyes when he heard that. It was like he just woke up from a deep slumber and wasn't sure what was going on or where he was. He definitely felt his hands in strange place as he tilted his head down to see Kari's eyes looking into his own, while looking down further he could see that his hands were grabbing her orbs. Left speechless only to have his lips part but not one single word coming out yet, he wasn't sure what he was going to say or describe what he really was. He inhaled lightly, but exhaled deeper, his breath traveling to her skin. Best thing was to tell her honestly what he was doing, and why he was doing it.

"I..I'm embracing you..Feeling you..Exploring.."

Darion wanted to glide his hands all over Kari, feeling everywhere. It all started from that one simple hug, just feeling her body close to him, and everything she's made him feel. It was a new quest for him, to take in the beauty of this woman before him. The woman he didn't mind much at first, but now..Found himself sharing this moment with. Darion looked back into her eyes, he saw nothing on her face though. No sort of happiness or anything..But what was on his own face? What was he showing? Care, emotion, and signs of...love. His face was red as well, but that was only because of her fondling of his skin. He wondered though.

"My neck?.."

Whatever the two of them had going on before was gone now. It was gone, locked away in some titanium box and shoved off the face of the planet. At least, to Kari it was. Minutes before, the woman lost herself in the man before her. The center of her eyes grew in size after he told her what he thought of her as a moment, and beyond that point, the touching had taken over. It didn't take much to make Yukari's head swim when his fingers fluttered over her skin. She happily gave in and did whatever his fingers told her to do. Now that she was in her right mind, however, whatever spark that lay dormant in her chest was now dissipated when he answered her question.

"My neck?.."

"What...about it?" It was ruined. The moment that they had was ruined and was not coming back. Kari became suddenly aware of the bark scratching into her back. Before, while her tongue explored Darion's skin, she hadn't noticed, but now that it was over, she found the scratching to be very annoying. She shimmied up the tree again, putting some more space between Darion and herself, using her calf muscles to make her way up to the standing position. Her legs vibrated with the strain of being unused for so long, having been pushed against his for a good while.

"Does it hurt or something?"she asked casually, fixing her bow in her hair and looking over towards Dust. The horse was there to meet her gaze with his black-eyed glare. He practically fumed aggravation towards her, so much so that Kari was sure if she went to pat his mane, he would kick her directly in the shin. She made no move to apologize however, tapping her right foot to bring some feeling back into her leg. She avoided his eyes and moved over to the tent, pretending as if absolutely nothing happened between them.

Just get in the tent and go to bed, Kari.

Darion was still trying to catch his breath after all the excitement they just went through. First it was a simple kiss, that grew into a stronger one with much emotion and passion. He guided her for more and to grow deeper. Her hands held onto him and he held onto her, not wanting to break the deepest kiss he probably ever experienced. It made him lose his track of mind, blinding everything else out except Yukari. However, all of that was gone when questions were asked. He could try to bring that moment back, but it wouldn't be a moment then..He'd be forcing himself. Darion looked over to Kari, scratching the back of his head lightly.

"No..No..It just..felt really..Good.." His eyes closed when he remembered how he tugged on his skin, taking it into her mouth. The pleasure that coursed his body when she did made him shudder with excitement. It was obvious that he really liked it, because his cheeks were dark red and anyone with bad eyesight could see that he was still trying to recuperate from before. Kari moved away from him, he blinked and tried to keep her close, but didn't want to force her.

When she moved over towards the tent, she acted like nothing happened whatsoever. Darion just kinda stared at the tree in blankness, not sure how to respond to her actions. No, he just stared for a bit then looked over towards the tent. It was sure to be awkward since they were sleeping in the same tent together. Alright, Darion..Just do your best not to make things strange..Just go in the tent and try to sleep without touching her. Darion knelt down, crawling on his knees into the tent. He didn't lay down yet, as he would be uncomfortable in his torso. She was going to kill him for this..He reached down and grab the end of his shirt, tossing it up and off his person to the left side of him.

He was now bare chested, and personally he found it more comfortable to sleep like this. Now finally laying himself on his back as he looked up at the roofing of the tent. He sighed and folded his hands over his chest, losing himself in a bit of thought. Yeah it was hard to believe but he was thinking again, not the way he used to though. Darion swears that kiss..That one...Kiss..changed him and everything he saw in the world, even the statue he was after. They were a team, and they had to work as one to reach their goal, The Turobian King. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he cracked a smile.

"Never expected a beautiful archer to kiss so passionately. You blew my mind, Kari."

It was cruel what he did. Purely, horribly cruel.

Once the two were in the tent after Kari having finally hushed Dust into a light slumber by petting his mane, she sat cross legged on the sad excuse for a 'bed'. It was only two heavy covers on top of one another: one to lay on and the other to lay under. Kari made a face at the blank sheets she looked upon, wondering if she made the right decision. She was almost killed twice, her horse was annoyed with her, and Darion made her body do flips that she didn't think was humanly possible. On top of all of that turmoil, she was sure to have the worst sleep in her entire life. Lovely. Kari peeled back a sigh and altered her eyes to Darion to wish him a fair night...

...when she came in eye contact of his bare chest.

"Eckaa...?" That was the sound that curled out of her throat. She didn't know what she was trying to say. As a matter of fact, she didn't even know her mouth was still hanging open, but it was, and it would be that way for a while. In that instant, Kari realized that she had never seen a young man's chest exposed before in all of her years of living. Never before had she got to see the contours of a male's muscles from underneath the tunics, vests, and shirts they always wore. Her life had been nothing interesting when it came to men. Darion was giving her all of the 'firsts' when it came to males: The first kiss, the first sight of one's chest, and the first feeling of butterflies springing in her stomach.

Dumbfounded, she was not inconspicuous in her staring, her eyes skirting each and every inch of his skin until she finally locked eyes with him. They both stared at one another. Kari regained as quickly as she had fallen, inhaling and tilting her nose in the air casually.

"If you say so." How else was she supposed to respond to that!? Her face was enveloped in a deep red and her heart was beating 3 times it's pace against her chest. Defeated, she turned over completely, her back now facing him before she closed her eyes. "Until the morning, I suppose,"she said lightly, another away of saying, 'Leave me alone until I wake up.' Whether that statement held any meaning behind it, that was all Kari's call. For the time being, she just lay her head uncomfortably on the ground, wrapping her hands around her arms while her body lay motionless under the covers. Sleep would come soon.

When Kari made that strange sound, he wasn't sure what to think. One part of him said that she must have never seen a male chest before and that all of this was really her first time..Even their kiss. The kiss that still lingered in his mind, the kiss he'd probably dream about tonight and wake up red as ever. The other part of him thought she didn't like what she saw, that was until he saw her eyes gliding along his skin. Literally feeling beams on him and they were relaying information back to Kari. All he could do was just blink and wonder what she was thinking about as she eyed him from that moment. He scratched the back of his head nervously, a small smile forming.

She actually was bright red?..So red it was noticeable! Darion felt pretty good about himself, and his heart was beating in a strange pattern, but it was a good pattern. He opened his mouth about to say something..But denied as she quickly turned over and left with a response that made him question. Did she not..want to?..No..No..Don't think that, Darion. He laid on his back and looked up at the roof of the tent again, then turned his head over to Kari who was looked uncomfortable. Sure this wasn't the best bed..But it was what he was used too..Perhaps he should make her more comfortable..But how? He didn't have pillows..only covers. Darion tried to think of something she could use so she was more comfortable.

Damn it..There was nothing around, nothing came to mind. Then Darion remembered something from before, but he wasn't sure what would happen. He was doing this for her comfort, not his though. Carefully moving closer to her, he slid his arm under her head. His arm would be much comfier to lay on than the hard ground. With his other hand, he reached down and pulled the covers up over her body. This should keep her warm and make her sleep better.

"Good night, Kari."

Darion didn't fall asleep yet, he waited to make sure she was asleep first before he dozed off himself. He wasn't sure why he waited up for her..Guess it was some sort of protective instinct of his kicking in.

She felt whatever it was under her head but simply thought nothing of it. Darion must have been some sort of tossy-turner while he slept. It was going to be a long night if that was the case. She preferred sleeping with no light, no sound, no movement. Even if a sliver of moonlight peeked through her window back at the shop, Kari was quick to get up and close the shutters, enveloping herslef in darkness again. The tent made way for a decent amount of the blackness and the only sound in her ears was the occasional chipper of an insect or two. A scramble of steps from an animal and the wind rustling across countless leaves scattered on the forest floor.

Whatever her pillow was moved soon after the covers draped over her shoulders. Kari lay with her eyes open, looking into the fabric of the tent some feet away from her. Even when Darion wished her good night, she hadn't moved or said a word. Maybe he would think her to be asleep if she stayed still and silent. It was that way for a while, Darion having stopping his movements and words, leaving Kari to lie motionless, awake and with her thoughts.

The first and only thought, of course, was the kiss.

Since she had never been kissed before, she did not know what went with it. If one kissed someone, were they committing themselves to that person? Was it like another way to say hello between two individuals of the opposite sex? Did it mean that the individuals love each other or maybe it was a way to ask to...mate? Kari took in a sharp inhale through her nose, her entire body tensing to the feel of a brick at the thought. She was sure to drive herself insane with all of her thoughts and insecurities. It was best to take it all in strides, starting with the reason she was there with him. To help him retrieve the arms and they already had one. The other one was soon to come. It was probably a good thing for her to keep her head clear throughout the journey before she made a mistake that may possibly cost them their lives.

Kari's tension loosened, the inhale she took finally releasing in a small exhale before letting her eyes flutter to a close, inviting the sleep to embrace her with open arms. However, regardless of what she had only told herself seconds ago, her dreams only consisted of Darion and the feel of his body.

Joy.

Darion wasn't sure if Kari was actually asleep or not, but he wasn't going to poke and move her around anymore to find out. Hopefully she was much comfier with his arm there. Though he was beginning to lose feeling in it..that's alright, he'll get the feeling back when he woke up the next day. What mattered to him most that Kari would sleep. Te group had an exciting day filled with much action and more then they thought. Darion's mind was still locked on the moment when they got close and..Kissed. It's not that he didn't like that moment..It was just..Why? What made him do it? So many questions ran through his head, and Kari was related to all of them. His face shifted a bit, trying to make sense of it all..But there was no hope.

He sighed lightly, and looked out to see the darkness of the night still looming overhead. It made him wonder what was going to happen when the morning came around. Would there still be some awkwardness between the two? Or will they try to play it like nothing happened? Too much for Darion to think about and it was starting to drive him crazier then he already wa-...Damn it Kari..Making me think I'm crazy now..Smiling a bit as he finally shut his eyes, hoping to drift off to sleep and wake up to clear mind.

As Darion fell asleep, his dreams consisted nothing of Kari. Kissing Kari more and more..Slowly growing into more than just a simple kiss. Their kiss grew into them exploring each other's bodies. Feeling every possible spot with nothing held back. Darion was dark red, moaning and breathing heavily onto Kari's skin as she was the same as him, lost in the moment. Soon they were so caught up in it..Clothes started to fly, exposing her skin to his touch. The warmth of her body tingling his fingers with excitement..As he.

"Wah!...." Darion sprung up a bit, waking up to see that his arm was under Kari's head."Oh...It..was only a dream.." He whispered softly to himself, as he placed his free hand on his forehead, shutting his eyes. Whelp..No escaping these feelings or thoughts..That's for sure. His face was all hot, and his forehead was covered with sweat. That dream...Or..whatever it was..It seemed so..real.

Her sleep was filled with arms. Hundreds, maybe thousands of arms, and not the statue kind either. These arms were decaying, the skin peeled back in an encrusted brown scraping, no matter what the arm. They were all the same eerie color of neon green, though underneath the dermis, the brown awaited them. Bugs and filth ran along the length of the arms as they appeared out a black, dark abyss. Kari was watching the entire show through first person point of view. She could hear her own breath rattle against the wind as the arms multiplied in number and size, hands groping towards her. Kari was well away from the arms, but the image they scorned in her head was there, keeping her paralyzed. One grotesque finger managed to catch a strand of her silken tan hair, and Kari poured out a scream.

"Wah!...." The shout caused her head to rock up, whatever had been her pillow quickly jerked from under her head. Kari's scream in the dream now became a reality at the sudden sound, shocked that someone was in her room! Her eyes flung open, her right hand shooting towards her dresser...that wasn't there. Nothing met her fingers but atmosphere, the space where her dresser was supposed to be replaced with a nothingness. It took her a second or two to register where she was and who she was with; who had woke her up. After blinking another time just to make sure she was completely out of her nightmare, Kari turned a tousled head towards Darion who was wearing the same amount of 'bed head' as she was. He was covered in a soft sweat, much like Kari.

"Oh...It..was only a dream.."his voice dripping out from his lips in a soft whisper, but Kari still caught wind of it.

"Yeah...I know..."she said, referring to her own nightmare. The two sat in the 'bed' for what seemed like hours before Kari finally collected her thoughts, sitting up firmly while a hand lay on her throat, checking to see if her breathing was indeed on the right track. When the slow oxygen flowed in and out of her throat, she let out a sigh of relief, gazing back over to Darion to see if he was making any progress.

"Are you alright? Your dream wasn't filled with decaying arms trying to grab you, was it?"

Darion was breathing heavily. He had to recuperate from whatever he just went through. A dream with Kari. Where they were kissing, and stripping each other bare naked, getting closer by the second and growing deeper and deeper. So much was going on in the dream, that he couldn't control it and just went with it. What really got him though, and caused him to wake up, was of how real it felt. How every single motion he or she did it felt as if it was actually happening. How the hell do dreams do that? Sure..its incredible, but that dream?! Damn it..She was so..hot during it all. Not thinking for one second to pull away or stop even.

His vision finally turned over to see Kari. Jumping a bit back at the sight of her, his heart began to beat faster. Not because of her bed head, or anything..Just..Her.. Darion tried to respond to her, but was choking up and couldn't get any words out. It was embarrassing really, he sat there with his mouth open trying to talk, but nothing, not one single word would fly out. The way he was breathing, and the light shaking was a sign that he was still lost in what happened mentally.

"Yeah...I know..."

Did she?...No..She couldn't have..Quickly shaking the thought of it.

Darion watched as she was touching her neck, followed by a sigh. Raising a brow at her, wondering what she dreamed about. His question shortly answered when she mentioned the decaying arms. That didn't sound like a dream, and then it all made sense. She had a nightmare involving death-like entities. The two of them were opposite of what they dreamed of entirely. Darion wasn't sure to tell Kari what exactly he dreamed about. That would result in her slapping him or worse. He swallowed the hesitation that held him before.

"N-No..They..were not..Was that..What you...had in yours?"

Of course they were, moron! Don't point out the obvious. Darion shuffled closer to Kari, placing his hand on her cheek lightly, then onto her shoulder. As if he was making sure the decaying arms didn't take anything on her or leave any marks.

"You're ok, Kari..I won't let anything get you."

Kari nodded when he asked the question she was sure he already had the answer to. Darion was kind of like that so she didn't mind it when he made that face that read "God, I'm an idiot." She was pretty used to it by then and simply dismissed it with a faint grin.

"Yes, I did. It wasn't the best dream I have ever had..."she said before trailing her sentence off when he loomed closer to her. That is when the paralysis settled in and her memory returned in the form of a bulldozer of bricks to her face. This was the same thing he did before he kissed her! And...he was coming closer to her again...meaning that...was he about to do it again!? Oh, no... Kari sat firm and still in her spot, her eyes staring directly into his without moving one single part of her body. The stiffness that settled when he crawled closer stayed even when his hands grazed over her cheek and shoulder, but that was all. There was no touching of lips, no shortness of breath, no iridescent moan. Nothing but a soft caress of her cheek and shoulder followed by words of reassurance.

Odd.

"Thank...thank you, Darion. That's really nice of you to say. I...I suppose I shouldn't let anything happen to you either, or I'd be stuck in this place by myself which is not good,"she joked, dismissing the awkward act of kindness with a laugh. He was just as awkward as she was, looking everywhere but her eyes before locking them only to unlock them again. She necessarily didn't blame him for it; they had been going through some strange things. Almost dying by wolves, almost dying by a tree, almost dying by a far drop, almost...doing something else after the kiss? Yes, one hell of an adventure indeed. Kari shook off his hand slowly while she stood to her full height, placing a finger or two to the side of her head, slightly frowning because she rose too fast. The blood rush settled in and the wooziness came soon afterwards, but the smile never left her lips.

"Time to go wake up Prince Prance-a-lot..."

"You're welcome...And thank you as well, this is definitely not the place to be stuck." Darion nodded in return to her statement. Yes, this place was way to dangerous to be wandering alone in. The dark hounds, and treants were nothing compared to the other beasts probably lurking deeper in these woods. Darion had heard a tale of this faceless monster that was relentless when chasing its prey, it wouldn't give up until it teared it limb from limb. To most men, it sounded like a surefire way to die a gruesome death, to Darion that sounded like a thrill of a lifetime. However, he was not going to endanger Kari and Dust's lives like that. Focusing back on reality, her smile never left her face, which made Darion feel a lot more confident.

"Yes, we need to pack up and keep moving.."

He followed up her behind her, rising to his feet to stretch with his arms up in the air and his legs straining. Darion groaned and then sighed, reaching down for his shirt he placed it back on. It was a bit chilly from laying on the col ground all night, but it would only wake him up quicker. Let's see..First thing probably to do is check the map, which was in his bag over by Dust. Darion made his way over to the bag, making sure not to wake up Dust, the horse would probably kick him without any question. Those bruises wouldn't go away or make anything easier. He knelt down, opening up his bag he began sifting through to find that darn map..There was so much stuff in here..It would take a while. Aha! Or not..

The map was rolled open as his eyes laid first on their location, southeast of the large hill where the treant was. Now to get an idea where the other arm was, Darion would have to inspect the arm he has now thoroughly for any hints. Once more, he dug into the bag looking around for the arm, which would be much easier to find since it was solid gold and basically made the loudest noise of anything in his bag. Pulling out the fragment, he held it by the side of the map. His eyes carefully and intently scanning the entire fragment. Darion was in a deep concentrated stare, nothing else would bother him and this is why he enjoyed his job, figuring out these puzzles. Darion noticed a strange marking on the fragment's backside, one he had never seen before..It didn't even look like anything of this world.
"Strange..It appears..There is an outside mark on the fragment..One I've never seen before.." His eyes squinting even more so. "One..of..magic..possibly.."

SWOOOOOOSH! Something zipped over their heads, faster than they could lay eyes on.
"AHEHEHEHEHEHEEE!" Followed by a strange, yet young laugh.

"What the?.." Darion tightened his hold on the fragment, figuring whatever it was would be probably be wanting to take it from him.

The figure appeared in the sky in clear view, just hovering as it slowly began to descend. Darion stared with a bit of fear, the hard work they've done so far might possibly be stolen by whatever it was..So he slowly tried to hide the fragment back in his bag before the figure could see where it was. When it lowered, it took the shape of a woman on a broom. They were found by Darion's most hated enemy, A witch. She laid herself down on her broom, smiling at all three of them. The look she wore told one of evil intentions and bound to cause misery for all of them.

"Darion, famous explorer of the lands...After the Turobian King?..The master is pleased by this, he is looking to see if the tale is true...Perhaps we could strike up.."She smirked, winking at him. "Some type of deal?.."

Darion was speechless for a second, unsure of what to say. Firstly, it was a witch...Witches couldn't be trusted with their own lives. Darion grumbled a bit, his eyebrows slanting down showing a big of an angered side. He had a long history of encountering witches, and they always knew where he was.

"First off..The Turobian King, is my quest..My own curiosity! And second!...I..I don't need to strike any deal with an untrusting, low-life, hag like you!.. I..I have all the help I could ever need right here. " Darion pointed to Kari and Dust, then back to the Witch. "Now..GET! Scram, witch!"
