    Ambassadors to Pehl-la

The world ripped apart and you fell through the gaps.

Daily life—boring, exciting, tragic, fun—it's interrupted. A tiny sneeze that sounds both utterly distant and right in your ear. The world around you goes still, and reality ripples, each wave throwing you about, until the waves become larger, and tears appeared. Your arm fell into one and wouldn't pull out no matter how you struggled, until the rip swallowed you, and sent you falling through a dizzying void filled with particles tinier than you can see.

A lack of sensation leaves you almost alone with your thoughts as your stomach, aware this is wrong churns painfully, trying to vomit, but unable as sparks shoot across your retinas.

A million years pass in a moment, and you land on something soft and large. It's warm again, and the particles stop dancing across your eyes. A dark room surrounds you, you can make out a curtain hung from a single point above you, but not its color.

It's hard to move, and harder to think, and it is a struggle to control yourself as your stomach churns violently.

    History
2006 C.E. Earth, a teenager named Biocybera has conquered almost all of the world with an army of stolen children in the span of only four years. Despite her ruthless tactics of conquest, she quickly established worldwide human rights, healthcare and education reform, economic reform, and more to the countries she ruled. Technology boomed as she not only relaxed laws pertaining to scientific research, but also pushed new laws that forbade wasteful or dangerous business practices.
    History
After seventy years of peace enforced with an iron-fist and tough laws, company owners finally had enough of her dedication to safety and the environment cutting into their profits, so they used the media to turn the public against her, then armed the rebellion, while the "Mistress" as she was called did nothing to stop the rising tension. Fighting broke out the first day, and then Biocybera's forces surrendered under orders from their superiors, and a cryptic message was relayed: "Biocybera is tired. She has decided to go home."
    History
Ignoring the message, the people stormed her bases in search of her, but she remained missing.

The three years after the 2076 C.E. uprising were filled with turmoil as the people struggled to find order and head government. Heads of companies earned massive profits and fought for control of three continents until in 2079, they crashed the world's economy. Five years of struggling led eventually to the internet finding a viable government, and a union of nations formed in a similar pattern to the previous, however each followed most of Biocybera's laws and policies until big companies rose and started to rally against them.
    Current Events
Now, on New Year's Day, 2301 C.E., the world is alive in festivities as they celebrate the new year's coming and the passing of the last with fireworks, gifts, and drink. It was 12:15 AM GMT when government scanners discovered activity in one of Biocybera's long-forgotten bases. They are on their way, but what if someone else finds out first and arrives before they do?
    OOC Notes
I am looking for someone to not only play in this world, but to discuss with me possible technologies, events, politics, and more..

  4. 2075 C.E.

Biocybera stared out at the city that sprang up around her base 25 years ago. Lights twinkled and cars zoomed along main street, mere meters of distance from her that felt so far away. The people lived their lives controlled by a media that slowly painted the ruler of their world darker and darker. She let out a quiet sigh as she realized just how little she cared how they thought of her.

"Mistress?" A voice came from behind, and she turned to see a young man in a blue uniform. For a moment, she wanted to scream in elation, before she remembered the absence of her son. General Davis's legendary talent couldn't make up for the disconnect between him and his predecessor, after all.

She looked toward Main Street again. "Yes, General Davis?"

"The BBC wants an interview with you, Mistress."

"Send the usual apology. I don't feel like it." She waved a hand to dismiss him, but didn't hear him leave.

    "Permission to speak freely, Mistress?"

She turned and leaned her elbows against the railing. "What is it, Davis?"

The man's shoulders slumped. "Mistress, are you feeling alright? This is the twelfth interview you've declined, and the civilians are getting restless because the only time they see you at all is when they're driving by and you happen to be outside."

She held up a hand, already weary of this topic. He silenced instantly. "No. I don't 'feel alright', Davis. I have never in my life been 'alright', and now I'm tired. Let them emancipate themselves from me. When they finally march, give the order to surrender to everyone they encounter. I expect to be overrun quickly." She turned away and shifted her elbows to rest on the railing as her chin laid on her hands, a smirk playing at her lips.

The man was silent. "I assume this is one of those orders I'm supposed to actually listen to, then?"

"Mm." She nodded, then finally heard him leave.

    2076 C.E.

Biocybera's new life began quietly. A note on her desk told the insurgents of her wish to be done—and of their newfound freedom from her rule.

She watched her tablet, smiling as she flipped through each lab and office, finding them empty as the citizens slowly searched through, looking for traps. She absently rested a hand on her duffel bag, where countless capsules held her inventions and files. They could have their freedom, but not these—not these machines she poured years into perfecting herself. Not the files that recorded every detail. And... not the money either. No unworthy looters would take her belongings.

She glanced around, then slipped into the shadows as someone approached, then paused as she saw General Davis.

The man still wore his uniform.

"Mistress?" He asked as he looked around, gripping his head. "Mistress, I know you're still here. Take me with you! These people are idiots!" He whispered as loudly as he could as he looked around, then spotted her. "Mistress!" His face lit.

She felt the same dagger in her stomach as every other time he smiled at her. "No." She glared at him, then ran. He followed, legs pumping until they hurt, but no matter where he looked, she avoided him.

    2301 C.E.

"Woohoo!" A voice shouted from a screen, earning an annoyed glance from tired eyes as a man in next to nothing ran into the water on a sandy beach. Another screen had children playing. Her gaze redirected itself to screen number 35 of 64, which displayed the news from New York City, in America. Nearly 16:00 there, and they spoke about a famous girl band named...

The din prevented the name from reaching the watcher's ears, even as her eyes drifted shut for the third time in the past ten minutes.

They remained shut until a chunk of the televisions suddenly began to chant "FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!"

She opened her eyes to watch news stations across the GMT time zone in celebration. 2301, it announced, was the new year, and she slowly rose with a groan, rubbing her back as she pressed a button on the arm of her chair to turn off all of the televisions at once before she turned toward the back, where the glow of three massive tubes illuminated that end of the room.

Each tube extended almost from ceiling to floor, and three bodies floated in a carefully-blended liquid. Two children and one adult all wired to the base and top of their containers, suspended for years, un-moving save slow heartbeats that registered on monitors to the left of each tube.

The constant occasional blip of sound was a quiet alert that each remained alive, and she passed them, then flicked on the light in the next room.

It blinked to life like a bleary child, illuminating the woman's tangled brown hair and dull brown eyes. She wore rags around her large chest, binding it in place, and a near-threadbare miniskirt did little to hide her hairless body, despite the cold that left her skin covered in goosebumps and her fingers and toes numb.

A well-worn puke-green housecoat offered slight warmth as she approached a mattress with a large blood-stain and several visible springs. She sat on the edge, then glanced to the side at something she recognized from her childhood.

She reached for it—the gun she used as a child to kidnap so many of her soldiers from their homes, daycares, even hospitals. She closed her eyes and lifted the weapon that closely resembled a megaphone to her head, finger on the trigger.

She laid down, feeling its cold metal against her, then pulled the trigger.

    Nothing.

She jerked her head to the side regardless and then let out a faint snort of a laugh.

Yeah, as if that would work The thing stopped functioning years ago. She sighed, and her eyes drifted shut slowly.

From the shadows, a figure cloaked in black approached quietly with a piece of cloth in hand, then carefully, slowly tucked the woman in—either unknowing or uncaring in regards to her visible flinch at his touch. He slipped the gun from her hand and set it aside, flared barrel down, then rose to look at her from the shadows of his hood before he turned away and flicked the light off for her, his figure quickly lost in the shadows.

2076 C.E., New Norwegian Watch Center

    "Sir? We got a reading."

    "Where?"

"Here, sir. Location Four-Alpha, somewhere below Level D."

A masculine voice sighed, then tapped an earpiece. "Initiate procedure Gamma on location Four-Alpha. Be advised the signal is below Level D." He waited a few moments before the answer came into his ear, a soft female voice.

    "Gamma, Four-Alpha, below D?"

    "Correct."

"The military will be en route in two hours, and after that will arrive in 14 minutes."

    "Thank you, Felicity."

    "Your welcome, sir.

    Skill
    • Advanced or adept partners who appreciate flexible post lengths (three sentences and up) are welcome, and I will do my best to impress.

    Information

    Age
    • I am twenty six years old. I play best with partners of similar or higher age, with 20 as the lowest limit.

    Sex, Gender, and Sexuality
    • I am able and eager to play male or female characters with varying gender identities and sexualities—provided the character fits the plot.

  8. The Forest Witch

In near every plane of existence and alternate universe, there exists a story, typically told first by a drunk man in a bar whose life fell apart years ago. The story always begins with what he believes was his death, and then his waking in a strange home, with a woman caring for him. The tale goes on to detail how a love grew, and then how he eventually realized his life back home needed his attention, and she walked with him to his home, where they promised to meet up at a certain time. He was late, and she left without him, and years of searching found no trace of her.

Most who hear this story ignore it. Some men who hear it later live it—be they from space, or from earth, or some other realm.

Ellith is the forest witch, and any man in need, even lost in the far reaches of space, or at the bottom of the ocean will be saved.
