You are a teen growing up in a small town by the name of Kilead, and for the most part, you're a pretty normal kid. You go to high school at Kilead High, you have friends, you might be popular or you might just be a misfit in the school world, but you live an ordinary life. There's just one thing about you that's different: you're a member of the LGBT community, growing up in an incredibly homophobic and transphobic town. You might be out, if you're brave enough to withstand the hate and insults and prejudice that comes from just about everyone there, or you might be closeted, but either way, you know who you are and you know the cost of being yourself in this town.
Recently, a girl named Sylvie Collins has shaken the town to its core by not only declaring herself lesbian, but also by starting up a GSA--a Gay Straight Alliance. This could be your chance to make friends, come out, take a stand against the town's homophobic ways and challenge their beliefs in order to be who you really are. Will you do it? And if you do, how will your life change after?

Her hair looks like the above image, except it's dyed light blue. Her eyes are a light gray, and she's about 4'6", very short, and rather thin. Her face is softer than the picture above, with more curve and less angle, and her jawline is softer than the picture shows, while her chin is slightly more pointed. Her nose is a button nose, and her lips are like the ones in the picture. She prefers to wear loose T-shirts that usually hang off one shoulder, with a tank top underneath, and silver or light gray jeans with tan moccasins.

She's very individualistic and very much a person to stand up for what she thinks is right, as well as pretty outspoken. She rarely hides her opinions, and while she does care what other people think, she tries not to let it bother her too much and just do her. She's got a serious temper behind her usual cool, and if she gets going, she really gets going. She's a very passionate person about things she believes in and she'll always stick up for someone who needs her to, and she hates bullies, absolutely cannot stand them. She's a pretty outgoing person, and she'll go up to people and talk to them, and because of this she was very popular before she came out, although she's much less popular now. She's also a pretty nice person, unless you bully someone around her, and then she becomes much, much less nice. When she gets sad, she really gets sad, and she seems very fragile when sad, but she always bounces back from it within a few days, refusing to let things get her down for too long. She's a bit lonely now and then, especially since she lost a lot of friends after coming out.

She had a fairly typical upbringing, but her parents were very careful to teach her to always be an individual, stand up for what was right, and not believe that LGBT people were wrong because they weren't. Lately, her parents aren't home much because they've both become pretty busy with their careers and so they are on the road and traveling a lot, leaving Sylvie and her sister home alone. She discovered she was asexual in eighth grade, and at first thought she was aromantic as well, but quickly discovered that she was actually homoromantic. She came out this past year, and several teachers and students have responded poorly.

Sloane is a sarcastic cynic. She's been out for most of her life, and she's used to being bullied and having herself torn down, and she's depressed because of it, but she hides it behind a cynical mask. She tends to be overprotective of anyone she cares about, going to extremes to help them and keep them safe, and doing anything she can to make sure they don't get hurt. She often treats her friends as if they're made of glass and they're going to break to pieces if she's not careful, but she's sarcastic and cynical with everyone else. She's like that initially with friends, but then she becomes nicer and softer once you get to know her, and she definitely shows she cares, but only to friends and only when no one else is around. She's generally a quiet person, and she doesn't talk too much to people unless she knows them well. She can also be kind of reckless, doing things that may not be the best idea and not bothering to think before she leaps. Excepting her friends, she treats most things like they're pointless, including the GSA, schoolwork, and life in general. Her friends are the only things she treats as worth something, and to her they are worth the world. She has a tendency to make self-deprecating remarks, and though she laughs them off, she definitely means them.

She came out as demipansexual and panromantic when she was in eighth grade, but she'd known since she was in sixth grade that she liked girls and boys and people of all genders. When she came out, her father informed her they were disappointed in her, and her mother began emotionally abusing her and forced her back into the closet at home, constantly calling her a disappointment and refusing to talk about her relationships and asking why she couldn't be more like her sister. Sloane was also being verbally assaulted at school, and it got to a point where she became very depressed and grew very cynical. She still deals with abuse both at home and in school.

He's about five eleven, with shaggy brown hair, and blue eyes, though he tends to wear green contacts. He's pale skinned but tans easily, and he generally wears black T-shirts with loose blue jeans and a leather jacket.

Gabe comes across, initially, as cynical and angry. If you get past that, he's a nice guy, and he's pretty clever, and he's always thinking up new ways to do things. He considers his real friends exceptionally special and is very nice to them, and rarely argues with them, and never gets really loud or anything, and does his best to never upset them. He is scared of ending up like his dad and this fear tends to affect everything he does. He's a mischievous person and he likes pulling jokes on his friends, but never anything that could be harmful. He doesn't have what he considers real friends right now and often feels lonely. He's an independent person and he tends to spend a lot of time alone, hanging out in the library and the like. He loves to read, and he likes science a lot, and he's very smart despite hanging around with some not-so-smart people. He's very protective of people he cares about and would do just about anything for them, and he keeps a small bonsai tree in his room because it helps him stay calm in certain situations. He tends to have a 'I don't really care' attitude when you first meet him, but he does care a lot about many things. He's scared of people finding out he's gay and scared of what the reaction would be.

Gabe does his best to look out for his little sister and protect her from their father, and he mostly succeeds, but that means he takes the brunt of the abuse, leading him to be kind of an angry and cynical person, although he's really a nice guy underneath. He hangs around with some guys in school who constantly bully other people who are LGBT, and he does this in order to keep people from guessing his sexuality. Unbeknownst to him, Lilac is homosexual as well and can't stand what her brother does. Gabe is debating joining the GSA as a first step away from his "friends".

Tate is very outgoing- and loud, she came out as a Lesbian when she was only in sixth grade- Which did in fact cause everyone of her old friends to leave her. It had hurt her for only a few months until she finally got back into the gist of things. She isn't afraid to speak her mind, She can be witty, intelligent, and sometimes rather moody. But overall, Tate is a sweet, touching, bad-mouthed people person. She loves being around others, even if they don't like her being around. On the inside, she has feelings that show different than her face though. Tate can become easily depressed, or sad, if someone makes a comment about her looks or another aspect of her, but she usually fights back as hard as she can- Causing her to get kicked out of most schools in the town. As a child, Tate knew she and her family were different, everyone treated her fathers terribly and it had taken a while to get used to her and believe that she, herself was straight. She had many friends, people still bullied her as a little girl because she's always been Chubby- Although she never cared. Then, once Sixth grade came, she realized that she was only attracted to women, and she didn't feel like she had to hide it. So, in front of the whole school, she came out. Everyone was definitely, by all means, shocked by her announcement. And it didn't take more than a whole day before everyone left her. In sixth grade, she began to hurt herself. Razors, Knives, just whatever was sharp enough to bring pain. Her fathers never realized, and she was saddened by everything. Tate believed that everyone was her true friend, but it was decided that they weren't once she showed her true sexuality. Then, in the first year of High School, she finally found a friend. Someone who was like her, his name was Jarred, and she absolutely adored him. Sadly the bullies got to him before she could do anything, and he killed himself in their second year. That once again, hurt her, and of course she still hurt herself, but she didn't let those feelings take over. So, Tate acted as if nothing happened, acted with a Happy façade, and soon enough, the year now, that Façade finally vanished and it became her. She was happy, out-going, and her parents still loved her. Of course, they found out she hurt herself one night when she walked around with only a Tank-top and some small shorts on. Her fathers made her go to Therapy, which is where she finds the most fun now. Her Therapist was meant for people like 'her', he was full on Homosexual, and one of her most favorite people in the world.

Blaise stands at a height of 5'10". He has a lean stature and doesn't have much visible muscle on him. In fact, he's a pretty lanky individual, but without the awkwardness. His head is framed with slightly wavy, slightly curly hair that switches between two colors: chestnut brown and yellow-ish blond. One would usually look at one's eyebrows to tell what their natural hair color is but Blaise is an exception for his eyebrows change color as well. But, if asked, he'd tell you that the chestnut brown is his natural hair color. The teenager's skin is a pale complexion, which looks even lighter when he has his blond hair. His eyes are a dark chocolate.

Blaise doesn't have a set fashion that he sticks to or anything. It differs from plaids to striped sweaters. Anything that he takes a liking to is what you'd see on his body. Most of the time, it's dark or neutral colors. Rarely, he'd throw on a few bright colors, but it's not totally unheard of or unseen. His jeans also differ from regular to skinny. Most of his skinny jeans have rips at the knees or just all the way through. Combat boots and Converse are his favorite type of footwear.
.:P E R S O N A L I T Y:.
Timid - Unlike some of the people that Blaise admires, the young male is very cowardly. He isn't one to speak his mind, keeping to himself instead. It's rare that you'll see him gather up courage to do something. Not only is he low on courage, he's also low on self-confidence. Because of this, he doesn't think that highly of himself and often takes people's negative words to heart, believing them, which only drops his confidence more. With all of this comes the fact that Blaise is also easily frightened. It doesn't take much to scare him and he's already paranoid enough.
Cry-Baby - Not only is the teen fearful, he is also hypersensitive, both physically and emotionally. He bruises like anyone else, but, instead of brushing it off, he'd cry. To be honest, the teen would cry at the drop of a dime. He's what one would classify as a 'cry-baby', though it's better if you didn't mention it to him. His mood can easily take a turn for the sadder parts. The simplest things can tip him off so people try to tread carefully when around him.
Tender-Hearted - Blaise is a huge softy, inside and out, and everyone can see it. Because of this, he's not the best to give harsh advice or discipline anyone. His hypersensitivity coupled with his tender heart makes it easy for him to drop everything and help someone out. His tender-heartedness especially comes out with those younger than him. Some may even say that he seems fatherly. With this comes his extreme affection. He will always be up for a hug or a cuddle, especially if it would make someone feel better. Physical affection is one of the things that he happens to crave the most and he will never turn it down.

Blaise knew his parents were homophobic from the start. He also knew that they were abusive - his mother was emotionally, while his father was physically. How did he know all of this? Well, from his sister, of course. He wasn't the only non-straight child in the family. His sister had been lesbian and had came out to their parents, under the impression that they would accept her with open arms. At this time, he had been eleven and had been experiencing feelings for not just girls, but males as well. Scared of this new change, he was glad that his sister was there to calm him down and give him a talk about what was happening. So, when she came out to their parents, expecting hugs and acceptance to only receive disgust and abandonment, he had taken note of it, deciding to never come out.

But it didn't stop there, oh no. Because of the town that they've been living in since the test of time, Linda also got bullied outside of home. People who used to be her friends turned on her and would talk about how repulsive she was behind her back and to her face. She would get shoved around and laughed at with no one to help her. Blaise being as timid as he was would only watch as she got torn down in and out of the house. He would want to help, really, but would be too terrified to do so. There were times when Linda would yell at him for not helping, but would apologize soon after, knowing that, if he could, he would. She endured all of this for two whole years and then she was gone. Just like that, poof.

With Linda gone, Blaise's parents' focus shifted to him and him only. Throughout Linda's tortuous two years, they had convinced themselves that he was their favorite, their dream child. They doted over him as the years passed and would occasionally question him about crushes and such. Every time, he would shrug it off and they would just write it off as him being his usual timid self. This is what he's been doing for as long as he could remember. When the GSA was created, he didn't hesitate in joining at all. It was easy since his parents didn't question his school life and he never told them about it willingly.

Now, he's been secretly going to GSA meetings and praying everyday that no one would find him out. He's also been hoping that, one day, he'd be able to come out without being afraid. Linda has been visiting as much as she could, avoiding their parents in the process. She's always kept in touch with Blaise, helping him through his daily life with a lot of advice and encouragement.

Their hair is dyed, but their natural color is light brown. Their skin is pale and their eyes are light blue. They like sparkly scarves in the summer, and soft, thick scarves in the winter, with a woolen trenchcoat type of jacket. They inherited very pale skin from their father, but they tan easily.

They're a very outgoing person, used to making friends easily and often striking up a conversation with strangers, although lately they've been a bit downtrodden because of how the school reacted to them coming out. They can get fired up pretty easily, especially if someone talks about their now few friends in a negative manner, and they like to promote a positive atmosphere. This doesn't mean they can't be down, and the constant misgendering at school tends to make them upset and frustrated, and a lot of their time in the GSA is spent venting about this. They're pretty good at hiding their anger or frustration and staying outwardly calm in a debate, or when correcting a teacher who's misgendering someone. They are very artistic and love doing art projects, and they play the piano pretty well. They're very talkative, and you'll almost always know what's on their mind, particularly about other people and their reactions towards what other people will do in this town to LGBT students.

Their parents moved here when they were five, and were very surprised by the town's vehement homophobia, and made sure their kid didn't pick up that attitude. Their parents always ran a very positive and open household, and let Gwen do what they wanted to growing up, and wear what they wanted to, and play with what they wanted to. Gwen figured out that they were agender in ninth grade, and promptly came out to the whole school and their parents. Their parents took it pretty well, but most of the school did not, resulting in Gwen not having many friends. Their parents struggled a bit at first with the pronouns thing but are now doing much better with Gwen's pronouns.

Their eyes hold a deep, forest green. He stands at about 5'7" and was very slim. He/them/she has light brown hair that barely reached down to the beginning of his ears. He had feminine features, a sharp- yet round face. Full lips, and a rather 'Semi small' body. Their clothing style usually consists of tight-fitted sleeveless tank-tops, which were usually bright or dark. They wore either Multi-colored skinny jeans, or bland Khaki's. Due to them being Gender Confused, there were points when they wore somewhat girly clothing. If they were feeling down, they would usually wear something that would cover their eyes, a Beanie.

Oreo was a quiet, timid person. They absolutely hated attention, always shying away from gazes and conversations. But that was of course, with people they didn't know. But with friends and family, that was a different story. With friends, they were loud and they weren't afraid to speak their mind. They swore and made jokes, always wanting their friends to laugh and smile around them. With family, Oreo was polite, but he/she/them still spoke just as normally as they did with friends. They were easily flustered and hated when someone picked on either themself or someone they loved. Oreo was someone who would fight if needed to protect someone they loved.

He/Them/She was born in their small homophobic town, along with their little sister. They realized they had been different when looking at men and women, they were attracted really only to men, and with women, they believed that they could possibly be one too. This was when they were in Their freshmen year. They came out their second year of Hogh school, first to only friends, and then their whole school slowly began to found out. Most left them, now only left with Tate and Gwen. Oreo was beaten and abused once their father found out, which caused them to begin to go into this small little shell, hoping to rot and die alone. They used to be so close with their father, but now he despised Oreo like no other. Now, during their current year- The GSA was created. They were relieved, knowing that he/them/she wouldn't be alone anymore so they gladly joined. Their little sister had come out to him during the first mention of the GSA and that she was dating another girl. They were fine with the decision, but sadly ther father found out. Both kids, with sins, were then kicked out of the house. Now. The two live in a small apartment, and Oreo worked two jobs which took up all of his free time.

I dunno about my other charries yet but teachers are definitely for the most part going to use he :P

And yeaaaaaah. I know some people have problems with like.. Twat or Shit because they both have weird meanings and it's offensive or whatever, so I usually try to warn others of my language so I don't make people mad xD
