That many pals already? Time to throw in yet another waiter. Too many cooks spoil the broth, but there are never too many waiters!

Also, the rules imply that we can play customers. Say, how many characters per person?

Personality:
Kaede is a sweet, soft-spoken young one. In general, she is kind of introverted and her primary reason for taking this job is to learn to interact with others. She is bad at interaction, and often stutters when taking orders, and serving delicacies. Even among her friends does she refuse to share her interests with. How did she get the job again? I don't know, because apparently her introversy extends to her job application, where she puts 'NIL' for gender.

When her inner fanatic is triggered, she appears less introverted and seems to express her interests more openly among the fellow staff. She will gladly prioritize an individual she sees as 'important' and 'noteworthy' which might imply low self-esteem.

Biography:
Kaede's father is a Light Novel author who is best known for writing the Modern Fantasy Princess Cronus Series and her mother is an illustrator for various Otaku Culture related goods, including aforementioned Light Novel, as well as the Mangaka of the somewhat-popular slice-of-life manga Yuushabu no Sainan, which got an anime adaptation last month.
Being in this family, she has been heavily influenced by it. Even with such enthusiasm for the world of Otaku Culture, she believes it is important to expand her brain with a lot of things. As such, her grades are actually pretty decent while she is capable of maintaining her hobbies.
Apart from this, her story is nothing to note and she is just another man in the world.

Specials Skills:
Kaede's main work-based skill is both her feminine and masculine charms, which the restaurant could very well use to charm customers. She fits well into both female and male uniforms.
She can identify many faces that belong to various voice actors, idols, and otaku community 'celebs', maybe even a bunch of magazine journalists and artists.
A chip off the old block, she's actually good with writing stories and drawing. However, she sucks at aiming it at younger children, and she takes a good deal of time to draw what is considered 'pretty damn good'.

Extra:
She is quite the 'otaku', and when seeing a hobby-related notable figure, she cannot help but blurt trivia about said individual to her comrades. 'Fangirling' you call it? I think so.
Her father uses her as inspiration for the namesake character of Princess Cronus and her mother uses her as inspiration Akira from Yuushabu no Sainan. And those two characters look a kind of different. How exactly do they share a basis? Probably personality, but that's a lucky guess.
And yes, she has albinism. Since everything is 2D it looks pretty niiiiiice.
She carries pepper spray.
The school she attends is known as 'Hanazawa Co-Ed School'.

As many as you can manage really is fine, and welcome. Not being made right yet, and as a reminder its just for a couple hours before the normal shift, normally people would be out and about doing there own thing, in this case I'll come up with some reason.

Occupation: Full time Normal seeming waitress who is just around to smooth things over when they get out of hand at "The Painted Shark"

Nationality: Japan, Ikebukuro.

Personality: A cheerful, generally all aorund happy person is the best way to describe Kona. However, she hates chaos in the workplace,
particularly the violent kind, and will not hesitate to (hypocrytically) resort to utilizing violence to end it. She is quick to anger as well, though she doesn't show it, having a rather long build up before she explodes. She does not like comments that refer to her size or her particularly flat chest, nor comments about how she doesn't look her age.

Biography: Kona was born and raised in Ikebukuro, though she hasn't always lived there. When she reached the age of seven her parents got her into a martial arts school, and a particular knack for it moved her around various places of japan and the world, learning from a personal tutor anything she needed academic wise. However, finally at the age of twenty four she decided that it was time to hold of on further martial arts training and complete her education. So she moved back to her home where she took up college, as well as a part time job at "The Painted Shark" where she continued working to the present day. In her off hours Kona enjoys reading and studying at her leisure.

Specials Skills: Wonderful waitress, great at cheering people up, terrifying when angry, and possesses the knowledge of over twenty different martial arts fighting styles including: Krav Maga, Karate, Tae Kwan do, and kick boxing. Combined with the fact that she is deadly accurate when throwing even an unbalanced butter knife, fork, or spoon, she would not be someone you want to piss off. She also is not one to forget a face once a name has been paired to it.

Extra:
Always seems to be equipped with some kind of table utensil, be it knives, forks, or spoons. She uses these to quickly break up fights or sooth ruffled feathers if any problem arises in the restaurant not caused by herself.

The martial arts would normally concern me, but shes lacking in the "xp" factor, and I doubt will be in the battles later on, at least willingly, so the boss is likely still a threat. Unless you wish to correct me on this.

Other than that the place normally only hires part time, though full time would be possible if she worked most of the week. Every Week.

Personality:

Katashi despite his appearance, profession and demeanor is fairly cool headed. At least during the moments where it counts. When faced with danger or any situation that would excite one, he's usually fearless and carefree. From unruly customers to underworld agents and gangs like the Yakuza, he seemingly doesn't lose his distinct aura of confidence. Along side this he's quite a smooth talker, encouraging others to take risky decisions or to absolve him or others of their guilt.

While preferring to watch from the sidelines he's not afraid to jump into a conflict or situation if he feels he needs to. When choosing to do so he has a stubborn attitude of not stopping until things are finished. While not seeking challenges, when faced with one of importance he won't back down for anything unless he finds something else more valuable. This habit seems to be more detrimental than helpful at times, but Katashi doesn't seem to mind.

Katashi possesses a respectable work ethic. He manages his work adequately with his interactions with others. Not neglecting one for the other or having them suffer from each other. Usually he'll say a few words here and there while preparing a meal or taking out the trash. Preferring to not talk about family and friends, on the occasions he does it usually is about his older brother who he affectionately refers to as "Aniki". Only in rare cases will he let personal matters dictate his actions while on the clock.

Biography:
Born to a typical middle class family, Katashi grew up with an older brother and sister. His brother was his senior by four years while his sister only one. His mother worked as a elementary school teacher and his father a business man for a construction company. At a young age, despite his mother's warm and loving influence, Katashi was an unruly child who seemed more wild than civil. Disobedient, mischief, apathetic, all of these could sum up his childhood self before the day at a park when he was subject to a rough beating by his older brother after making their mother cry.

Since then he began to focus his attention on his older brother instead of others, resulting in the two quarreling, mainly due to Katashi trying to annoy and upset his older brother and failing. With time and experience spite became admiration and he took a liking to his older brother and family as a whole. During their early teens it was hard to find one without the other as Katashi stuck to his older brother like glue. Following wherever he went and mimicking him in almost every fashion. His mother would often remark "If not for your faces I would think I had twins.".

However the carefree times of his early childhood were scarred by the abrupt death of his father. While Katashi was at the age of eleven, his father died due to a house fire and unfortunate circumstance. Arriving home early from work and believing Katashi's sister to still be inside during the roaring inferno his father went into the house to never return. He was unaware that hours previous she had gone to a friend's house. The only thing known to him at the time was she was sick at home with a cold and she would die if he didn't do something. While a tragic accident Katashi's older brother, and a few neighbors saw it as a noble act.

After the death of his father things dramatically changed. First his older brother stepped up as being a main provider for the family. Quitting school to work and help pay the bills and purchase a new home. When offered bigger and better opportunities for enlisting in the military he went to serve three years before finding out those bigger and better opportunities weren't as great as they were made out to be. For the entire duration of his service he sent money home to make sure things ran smoothly.

Feeling ineffectual, Kitashi stepped up to help as well by working part time where he could find the time between school and homework. When that wasn't enough he turned to more unorthodox methods. Participating in street fights, gambling, and petty crime he failed to succeed and only managed to get in trouble and worry his mother. When she threatened to tell his brother about his behavior he was quick to stop, or at least stop his mother from finding out.

Devising clever ways to participate in his unorthodox money making methods without her finding out he continued until he honed the art into a skill. Becoming an accomplished petty criminal and information broker in the process. When his older brother finally returned home he was exceedingly careful to not let him find out about his after hour behavior, but given time he was unable to do so. One day while his sister was out shopping a group of men from a local gang sexually harassed her to the point it could be considered rape.

Furious upon learning this after the encounter Katashi asked his sister where the men were. Reluctant to tell him when she finally did he immediately walked off to find them. Upon doing so he wasted no time and immediately attacked the guy closest to him. Having roughly four years experience with street fighting then at the age of sixteen he demolished two of them before the last three ganged up on him. Being beaten cripple they may have beaten him close to death if his older brother had not intervened.

Taking them out with quick efficiency he helped Katashi home. Inquiring where Katashi had learned to fight. He was reluctant to tell the truth at first, but eventually admitted what he had been doing to his older brother who took it understandingly, by beating an already broken man as punishment. When finished he had a long talk with Katashi instilling many life lessons he lived by and had learned in his time away from home. Following the year after this accident there were men who had come to the house to talk to his older brother.

Unknown to Katashi at the time they were Yakuza. After a few visits they stopped coming and Katashi merely found it strange, but was glad when they stopped. A year later his older brother abruptly and mysteriously disappeared. He left no incite to as where he would go or how long, merely vanished from the face of the earth. Worried for him Katashi began searching the city with little to no leads, using his connections and knowledge he eventually figured out his brother was last seen with a man that had visited their place before.

Determined to find the man or his brother he's been searching ever since. Though mainly fruitless he's acquired small details here and there gradually getting closer to his objective. Around the age of twenty-two he heard a rumor about a woman with connections to the Yakuza who worked at a place called "The Painted Shark" Putting in an application as he was tired of his current employment and thought he might learn something he's worked there for roughly two years.


Specials Skills:
Katashi is an established street fighter. By that I mean not only is he a skilled fighter, but he has a reputation of being so. Along with this he has considerable endurance for punishment. When most would back out or suffer from pain he keeps going and seemingly isn't affected. This ability to not show fear or pain when most people would has won him respect as well as fights due to the other guy losing confidence.

While being a skilled fighter Katashi isn't purely all brawn. Far from it, over the years he's acquired exceptional street smarts. Knowing what's going down between gangs to what Mr. Tokugawa is doing with his lawn this summer. Katashi knows a variety of people and how to talk to them. Most of the time it's harmless rumors and gossip, but on a few occasions information can prove to be useful.

Katashi while not a great cook is above mediocre. He can cook the majority of what people order by memory and have it taste acceptable, but he has no drive to improve nor does he have a innate talent for the job. He's more skilled in the menial tasks of cooking such as preparing ingredients, washing dishes, and cleaning. While by no means requiring skill Katashi is efficient in these tasks to where productivity would suffer in his absence.


Extra:
When roaming the city and occasionally at work Katashi will sport a metal baseball bat on his shoulder or hold it lightly off the ground.

Katashi carries a hidden weapon with him after one too many fights where people had them. It usually is a knife, but in some cases it's not.

Katashi wears a set of dog tags which he refuses to take off. Belonging to his brother he plans to give them back to him when he finally finds him. They're to remind him to not give up searching as any moment could be the moment he finds him. While at work he keeps them tucked away under his uniform.

Undergraduate; aiming for something is psychology. Always tends to have money but unclear exactly what she does to earn it.

Personality:
Rinako remains possibly the most eccentric of her siblings. Much like Yoriko, the girl is always starting something or terrorizing someone, albeit verbally and using her brain rather than her brawn. You could say that while the oldest of the bunch is abusive and violent physically, Rinako shows to be rather sadistic psychologically. Even when they were kids, while Rin never was much of a brute-force fighter, she seemed to have the smarts in the family, aside from Hibari, and she made sure to take advantage of it. Yoriko may be able to force people to do what she wants, but Rinako would do much the same, but without them even realizing it; a natural manipulator, you could call her.

Regarding her siblings, she does show more care regarding them than most. While she has, and still does, manipulate her immediate family, the reason typically proves to be for something trivial. Even if it doesn't look like it, Rinako wouldn't dare tricking her siblings out of something they truly cared for or in some way that'd hurt them. People outside the family, however, are fair game; she doesn't appear to hold any kind of mercy for them, even should they get hurt or lose something significant. And she knows that Yoriko would hesitate to actually hurt her—Well, probably.

Still, both of their volatile personality leads more often than not to conflict between the two. Typically Rin's visits to the store will involve Yoriko being called "expired" followed by the eldest retorting with the throwing of a chair at her and accusing Rinako of being a "whore" among other obscenities. This is partly due to Rinako's secret way of earning money as well as the fact that she holds a bit of flirtatiousness and clinginess towards men that interest her, even if they're in the family. The girl seems able to miraculously be able to tell the difference between Hibari and her brother, Kenza, and often will cling to or hide behind him for protection from Yoriko's rage; as if he could stop it. Insults and assumptions aside, this seems to simply be part of her teasing nature and she doesn't actually hold that kind of interest towards him.

Biography:
With Rinako not having to worry about joining the family business, she devoted much of the talent she had towards her intelligence and education, though, rather than Hibari who didn't want to chance her siblings' wrath and placed a metaphorical mask on her face, Rin had a bit more guts and decided to use her smarts to her advantage. She appeared to have a knack for it, too.

At first, she simply screwed around with her family, Yoriko especially, and running when it didn't work and ticked her off. From middle school up, she began to expand her horizons and manipulate those at school. Rinako seemed to only grow more entertained with tricking people into doing exactly what she wanted; playing the part of the puppetmaster. It was little surprise that when she graduated high school and went on to university that she decided to pursue something dealing with psychology. Likely, she wants to further enhance her ability to take advantage of others.

Specials Skills:
Not so much in the way of physical prowess, though the girl is admittedly skilled when it comes to evading or flat out running. This is probably a result of all the times a trick on Yoriko didn't work out and she ended up being chased down around the town. Aside from that, there isn't really anything notable regarding Rinako's physique.

Her intellect, however is another matter. It's no question that Hibari and her got the brains among the siblings. Rinako really takes advantage of it, though. A silver tongue, knowledge of how the mind works as well as the ability to pick apart someone's personality and use it to twist them around her finger.

Extra:
- Clingy to men close to her or that she gains an interest in.
- Enjoys aggravating her elder sister, Yoriko, above most else.
- Secretive regarding her current job, if she even has one.
- Really distrusts Hoshino, one of the wait staff, for reasons she will not name.

Akira has an attitude that people tend to understand or mistunderstand alot. In some cases, he doesn't really show the neccessary expression or emotion, but in all honesty, he's quite thoughtful and has an easy-to-know attitude. He can be quite dull, dense and have a stern expression on his face, depending on the situation. He is also quite carefree and kind, but has a very serious side to him. However, it's not easy for him to convey his feelings in some matters. However, thanks to his unfortunate reputation, he has been through more than one fight against students from other High Schools, but also from his own, and has never actually lost a fight. The most interesting part about it is how he's never the instigator, in most of them, that is. It is not that hard to provoke him which is another reason for his unfortunate situations.

Other than that, he's always optimist, and tries to rather rationalize a situation, though in some cases that would never solve the problem. His confidence in himself never wavers. Obviously, those he holds dear to him is also those he would protect if it ever comes to something like that. The guy also shares whatever that's on his mind, and too much at that, which can end up getting him in trouble without thinking about any consequences. Akira is quite fond of cakes and ocha(tea). He pretty much likes sweets.

BIOGRAPHY
Akira is the second oldest sibling of the House Shinkai. His parents along with his younger siblings live in another city than himself; Tokyo. He's a second year student in a well-known school called the Haguwan Academy in Ikebukuro. His older sister lives in the same city and is his guardian. However, he lives in his own apartment, which his older sibling visits occasionally, even if she can be annoying, and involve herself whenever she pleases when it comes to his own personal life. It was not by choice he left Tokyo. Apparently, misfortune has followed him since his days at the middle school. Always ending up in trouble. Fighting with other kids his age. Involving his parents again and again, but then again, Akira was never the one to start a fight, especially in most those cases.

Kids at his school feared him in case they gave him an odd look, or that would be enough to provoke him into a fight he would obviously win. This was the reason he never actually tried to befriend anyone in his past schools, and could have been considered a loner. Because of this, he was sent by his parents to his sister in Ikebukuro. Perhaps a fresh start without any trouble would be good for him. However, Ikebukuro was definetely not better than Tokyo, it was actually much more competetive in most cases. However, once he settled in there, got his own apartment, as it was arranged for him since he began at High School, and a reason for him to split away from his somewhat annoying sister, he decided to get a part time job. He had to, because that was one of the conditions added by his sister.

His reputation as a delinquent is not something he has ever asked for, it was just handed to him, nor does he cares about it. Akira rather ignores is. Though he has a small circle of close friends at school who doesn't care about his reputation. In Ikebukuro, he has had his share of fights and brawls, and even if his parents deadpanned at the information they received from his older sibling, they rather wanted him to stay put there for the time being, besides, Akira didn't really want to go back to Tokyo anyway, even if it was and is a popular city.

Luckily, his sister managed to scoop him a part time job at a restaurant with a very unique name that looked more like a name for a gang, but little did he care. She occasionally visits him at this restaurant. To show her sisterly love and annoy him, of course.
He knows the staff quite well, even when most if not all of them are a weird bunch, but the same can be said about Akira as well. There has been numerous of situations where he's arrived at his job with small bruises here and there. He has been working at The Painted Shark for about a year, and is currently a second year student in the Haguwan Academy.

SPECIAL SKILLS
For some odd reason, he has a very high tolerance level, and unique prowess. His physical strength and edurance is quite something. Perhaps the only reason why he can outlast a fight, but obviously, there is always a limit. Of course, brute strength follows as well. He has no particular skills other than being a great waiter , and a great fighter in a brawl, or a dog fight. The latter is what he excels in. His reputation as the "Hot" delinquent has earned him a few love letters at his school, and some of the female students visit the restaurant just to see him work. Thats good for him, even if he may be a little dense or oblivious to the fact that they are there for him, but thanks to that, they spend money there, which helps the restaurant. Actually, that's a win win situation.

Akira is actually an all rounder, and can cook as well. When he used to live with his sister and even his parents back in Tokyo, he got enough experience in the kitchen, thanks to his mother, and obviously sister. The man always had a nack for variety in food, though its not the most suited postion for him and he never actually talks about it.

I think thats it for staff, unless I decide to allow another..:/, feel free to make customers unless you want to join the other place. So far I plan to npc them as a minor gang that doesn't understand fully what they are messing with, mostly migrants and 2nd rate thugs. Things will naturally get more serious in that regard as time goes by, I also have a few little events planned, but am open to OOC suggestions.
 
Boo. A rival food chain that's just composed of a minor gang might as well be more of a joke than anything else.
 
I'd actually find it hilarious if they were the comic relief of the RP, lol.
 
Well I wouldn't say "Minor" they are big for what they are, more of an off shot to a rival yakuza group, or maybe the Russian Mafia, haven't 100% decided. For now both sides are, and have been fairly ignorant of the other, its just two front shops that hate the other. Of course events pending..escalation will naturally happen.
 
Please continue to scare boyo with the mention of flying chairs. That will make him feel welcome.
 
Its hard to tell when Hibari is being a smart ass or serious. Even for me, who types it. Oh well maybe she just has suppressed emotions.

I guess I'll have to save Kaede for until much, much, later into the story.

Well, call me if you need more staff members. I'll leave the incomplete application up there. Alternatively I might consider making her a regular-turned-worker who starts off my screwing around with the staff.

EDIT: I might do just that. I'll take my time.
