Kotone had hoped that the only damage done was the floor, himself, and the walls, but that didn't seem the case. He sighed once, feeling the ache of the hard landing throb around the source of contact. There wasn't too much pain, which could be a good sign... Or he broke something bad enough that his body had gone into shock.

By the looks of Katashi's reaction, the latter didn't seem the case.

He held his face still so Katashi could wipe the cake away, "Maybe once my legs are stronger I'll stop making messes." He responded, taking the second question as an opportunity to check himself over.

Fingers were normal and movable. Check.

Legs were normal and movable. Check.

No blood. Check.

No dizziness. Check.

"I'm alright. Go see what happened; just give me the details afterward-"

He cut off when he noticed Yoriko standing there, glaring at him. Kotone offered his own smile back and waved. "I'll have this cleaned up, boss. Don't worry. I'll mop the floors with my tongue if I have to." He assured her, getting up on his feet and moving to get started on the clean up.

As much as he'd like to see what the fuss was about, Kotone would rather have the mess cleaned before Yoriko killed him.

All fear that Kagome had felt when she first saw Shinobu quickly vanished the second the ghost-like boy opened his mouth. That fear soon turned to anger, making the redhead glare daggers at Shinobu.

"Watch your fucking mouth before I turn you into a real ghost." She told him. "Maybe if you didn't walk around here looking like a goddamn freak, I wouldn't have been scared."

She recalled him saying "newbies" and so she decided to ask. "Who the hell are you anyway? I didn't see you during that employee meeting a few days back."

The intruder ducked out from under Katsuro's hand with no real problem and explained that he wasn't a customer with a slight bow, then offered him some mochi. But, how did the mystery man know his name? He was almost certain that he wasn't staff here, and as far as he knew, he wasn't famous enough to warrant someone knowing his name on sight. He opened his mouth to say something, just in time for a scream to ring out.

He whirled to look, only to find Kagome slapping a hand over her mouth to stifle the scream. He turned back as the intruder began a spiel at Kagome about screaming. And... he knew that they were both new? The hell? He was wearing a uniform, too, but Katsuro had never seen him around before. What were the chances he was a stand-in or Katsuro had just never seen him around?

He could hear the door to the boss's office slamming shut during the spiel as well, and the sound of crashes from the kitchen. Perhaps something had gone wrong in there? Kagome didn't seem to recognize the intruder either, as obviously evidenced by her scream and outrage at the ghost man's response. "Ghost boy. You have someone to vouch you're supposed to be back here? Or do we need to escort you out? Neither of us recognize you, and you've said you aren't a customer, so the only thing left I can think of is that you must be some sort of spy from across the street."

"Ah right, the back door-" Enichi put their fist on their palm with eyes opened slightly wider behind decorate glasses. "I forgot about that, I'm here as a customer more than an employee, hehe." They responded with an awkward smile to Hibari, "Ka-takai-suro sure is efficient, kind of harsh though, probably won't be popular with girls." A few half-hearted words as they tugged the cord of the generator trying to reel it outside via the same path it came in from.

"Don't worry Hibari-chan, if it's just outside then Yoriko-basan won't know any of this happened-" Enichi did a little salute before wheeling the machine through the front door again, and towards the corner of the restaurant building, into the alleyway between structures. "Hmm..." Pushing their glasses (in a way they think looks cool but actually kind of dumb), Enichi looked at the alleyways and the few doors lining the walls, before digging their heels into the ground and doing a sharp turn back towards the restaurant.

"Ka-takai-suro-kun, can I still get that drink-" They asked towards the general direction of the waiter, before seeing someone that they actually needed. "Ah! Shino-ko, what are you doing out here?" Enichi hopped over to the pale-looking young man, promptly squeezing through the two others that were crowing him, "Haha, never mind that, which door is it that leads to those stairs to the non-food storage again? Also is my extension cord from last year still here?" They cheerfully asked the usually solemn young man, before noticing that it was a bit strange for two waiters to be standing around a back room employee. Enichi looked at the really tall guy, and the small girl, and realized that they looked like the symbol for "wi-fi" when they're standing in a row. Wait no, that's not the point.

"You guys are asking Shino-ko for directions too? This front area isn't that confusing though...it's only like, a room..." Enichi started to mumbled on again as they inquired the duo.

As the group deals with their own infighting, Yoriko grunts as she meets eyes with Enichi briefly, letting go of the door and backing up, her attention and simmering anger finally focuses in on the rest behind her. "The fuck are you all sitting around here for and causing such a ruckus. Of course he fucking works here and he's not THAT pale. Idiots." Huffing at that she decides to give the ghost an introduction;

"Miura, Shinobu. When Shinji isn't here he's the Line Cook. Meaning at least half of your orders will go through him, to you, to the customer's table. And yeah, he wasn't here for your introduction meeting, same with a few other people on the early day shift. So yeah, meet and greet, call him a ghost, whatever. Go look at the fuck'n shift list and then play guess who. You all must have been a real riot for students that started school late.. Oba, time to see those two off, then come back here, we got work to do."

Shaking her head at that, she pauses to look at the fallen cheesecake, causing her shoulders to drop briefly as she continues past and back to her office with a slam of her door. Shinji on that note comes out to smile at the rest.

"I'm the old man on the list... The boss must be in a good or neutral mood today. Tsao Shinji." Bowing at that he motions for Shinobu to rejoin them in the kitchen.

Hibari would wait for Katsuro to take his position back, before collecting Hinako and leaving under escort of Sakurako. And luckily for Einichi no one had came to steal his generator, though it did garner some confused glances from the avarage passerby. The only actual spy had left well before this point however, no sooner than Yoriko had slammed the door open in fact.

~~~
Over the next couple of hours the day would enter its rush then the slowdown before closing, by 1900 hours most had already had dinner minus the occasional salary man or public utility worker or other such professions that necessitated such odd eating hours, it was at closing that the boss would call them all into the employee breakroom where she would finally elaborate on how they could make more money and while she did not name any names she did drop a couple of bomb shells;
"So. A few of you owe a bit of debt to the wrong sorts of people and got over you heads yeah? Or a few of you got the loans of others thrown on you. At times I may have other work that takes me from here, I need errands ran or maybe I just want someone to be my bell boy, you can earn a little more out of me with that. Hell catch my attention enough and I may offer you something from my second job.. Which can lead to some of your situations being overturned.. But that is a talk for another time or in private hmm?"
With that she cracks her knuckles and takes a step forward smiling as she did so, some knew what she had to say and some did not, either way it was worth repeating.
"Anyways some nights its worth waiting till closing time, we have a nice little, hmm, sports contest, physically violent. Win and I'll give you something a little extra from the gambling pool, lose? Well you get nothing. Our competition across the street tends to come out to play as well as a few assorted weirdos from around the city... Sometimes I want to do the same to them. What's this all mean? Well simple, we fight one another after closing, some people gamble on it, some hardasses or fight lovers will show up. These battle can be friendly little one on ones or they could devolve into one big fight. Most of the times it ends in bruises, sometimes machines at one or both places get broken."
Laying all of this out she rolls her shoulders and heads towards the door. "So if neither of those things interest you, you got 10-15 minutes to get out of here and don't worry about the cops, so long as no one dies they don't care."
Takenaka Katashi
With a smirk, Katashi eye'd the group in expectation of their answers. A few of them didn't seem the sort to want to get involved with the "sports contest". The waiters particularly. Though, he had been surprised in the past before. In either case it meant he would get some extra digits off his debt and may get a good laugh in or two depending. He adjusted the baseball bat on his shoulder, before taking a step forward.
"I'm in boss. Can't pass up a good time. Specially if it pays."
He had hardly been one to pass up overtime. A few bruises or broken bones were nothing new, so long as he was still able to work. That's more or less what kept things moderately civil. If they put each other in the hospital for a few weeks either one of them could go out of business. If not get an investigation started by the police. Neither of the establishments could afford a kamikaze strike. Whether or not the rest of the staff realized this was up to them.
"If any of yah want details on your "rivals". I can help yah out, for a price."
He thought to add.
Kazuma Kenichi
The waiter flinched. Watching the woman grasp her hat and peer at him darkly, he couldn't help but feel he had irritated her. In the moment of spotting the "ghost", Kazuma had forgotten he was speaking to the scary woman who was larger than most of the guys even. So, when she leaned down and patted his shoulder, he didn't jump only for the fact he was carrying things he'd rather not send flying.
"Eh? Cursed Child?" He repeated with a curious tilt of his head.
She started spinning a tale about some horrible spirit haunting the restaurant, and as she went on, Kazuma's expression blanched. His head hesitantly jerked to follow Sakurako's finger to where the entity met its untimely demise. He felt a chill down his spine as the amazon very weakly assured him of his safety before patting him on the shoulder and walking off.
"Huh? W-Wait..."
And she was gone.
Kazuma breathed out. He was perhaps a nervous wreck, but even he could see the dramatics of her tale. It felt like an older sister telling you a scary story before bed to mess with you, or so he assumed. He was an only child after all. However, just as he readied himself to return to his job, Kagome's shriek rang out and Kazuma jumped.
The place hold hopped, and the plates on it did as well, though miraculously, he remained steady and nothing flew across the floor. Kazuma froze as he steadied himself and balanced the plates before breathing a sigh of relief. Then he jumped once again as an angry Yoriko appeared, heading directly for the source of noise. Feeling that he was lucky to have not broken anything, and not trusting that he was safe while holding anything, he left the others to their devices and ushered himself to rid himself of his inventory.
~~~

A few hours later, Kazuma had survived somehow. He was taking the time to relax as he wiped down some of the tables. That wasn't what most people would think of as an activity to relax, but most didn't work at this building. It was only the first day and he was already exhausted. Worse yet was this wasn't the end.

He wasn't unappreciative by any means, and regardless of his fatigue an opportunity to make money was an opportunity he couldn't just turn away. So when Yoriko called them all to her office to go over the "overtime" per say, he was there with everyone else. Though, what she suggested was unexpected, perhaps because it fit the group so well.

"S-So the side job... is a fight club?" Kazuma repeated warily.

Unsurprising to likely everyone, Kazuma was not a fighter. He didn't know how to fight, and didn't really want to participate in one.

A good time he says...

Kazuma deadpanned. Just what had he gotten himself into.

There was a very loud feminine shriek that sounded just after she had departed Kazuma with a smile on her face. The shriek must've come from the waitress. Then she realized that Kagome also thought the boy was a ghost, and Sakurako rolled her eyes with a bemused smirk. Really? He looked just like any other person. Ghosts weren't really all that scary anyways.

However, after a crash, the boss lady showed up. Then she went off. Which, of course, made sense. A lot of it had built up to that. And Yoriko going off was nothing new. Ah, man... Still, it was annoying, since she made sure to alleviate any "ghost" rumors by explaining who the boy actually was. Damn. There went that magnificent ghost tale she had worked so hard to spin up on the spot.

"Alright, c'mon you two." The giantess escorted the two away before returning to work until late in the evening when the place closed.

Where she found herself listening to the boss lady once again. As soon as she started a smirk appeared under Sakurako's brim. Ah, there's the mob boss Yoriko I know. Her eyes scanned around. Huh... some of these people are locked into debt with the 'wrong sorts'. Who woulda thought? Poor souls.. Heh heh..

Listening to what Yoriko had to say brought a real nasty grin to Sakurako's face. Her eyes sparkled with electric gold. "A fight club, huh? Count me in, boss. Can't wait to shoot some fools -I mean, crack some skulls! Fuck, god knows I need some spice in life, the day was more boring than I thought it would be. So, who else is sticking around? Who else wants to throw hands?" she asked, looking around the room. "How bout you, big man?"

Looking at Kazuma, Yoriko grunts. "No, Kenichi-Kun." She says mostly to insult him as she continues on. "Before you get all worked up by a bit of blood sport yah dumbass I said I have need of gophers, bellboys, a fucking footstool if yah wanna get that low." Exhaling a bit she continues.

"Like I said there is an option to earn side money and there is an option to earn more side money.. Though what I've seen of you, you aren't cut out for my second job."

Giving a shrug at that she continues.

"Up to you if you want to leave. But I would stick around and watch least this once, so you know who to watch yourself around on the street."

Turning her attention to Sakurako, she sighs a bit. "Dammit Oba, I rather you not fight my own employees. Though Shinji there is known to all friendly go against anyone. No profit in you idiots ripping yourselves apart for them. You wanna hit someone I don't mind, but don't do more than that least its been shown they'll go that far or I tell you to do so."

Looking on she had yet to gain much of a reaction one way or another from the rest.
