The Undead Armies stirred while the nations of Sarok fought each other. As armies fell in battle, they added their bodies and souls to the ranks of the undead, the soldiers rising to fight again.
Smaller, weaker nations fell to the first wave of zombies and skeletons. Stronger, more organized countries held them at bay, their fortresses being able to hold off the scourges.
The second wave came in force. The mythical creatures of the land were not spared from the undead, and they too turned to the ranks of the dead. Skeletal dragons and zombified Gryphons flew over the walls of fortresses, the dragons plaguing the town with its necrotic breath.
Empires were the last to fall, to the third wave of Undead. Liches and wraiths introduced a new threat, using black magic against the strongest of the nations. Not even the strongest Dwarven mountain fortresses were able to stand against the might of the Zombie Ogres. The very mountain crushing the city underneath.

The major cities are gone, and the majority of villages and towns were as well. Those that survived now find themselves hiding in the wilds. Many decided to become Bandits, hunting other survivors for their food and gear to survive better against the Undead. As the days go by, the Undead only grow stronger. How will you survive?

Dangers

The Undead
zombies_fantasy_art_89548_1920x1080.jpg

The most common of the undead, Zombies take upon what they looked like before death. Unable to use weaponry, doors, or anything else, they stumble around unless a powerful Black Magic user controls them.

Skeletons are another common occurrence. They use the weaponry and armor they did when they died, but cannot, or will not, use new armor or weapons. Elven skeletons differ from humans due to their leaner bones. Orcs have bulkier bones, and a distinct fanged jaw. Dwarves are obvious.

Although they are extremly rare, Infected Mythical monsters roam the lands hunting for survivors. Those that don't, are locked up by powerful Liches and Banshees. You are must more likely to be attacked by a normal monster than an undead one.

Other Dangers

Bandits may be more dangerous than the undead. The creatures of darkness took out the weak people, now some of the strong survivors band together to steal, kill, and otherwise overpower other survivors.

Weather is another major factor in survival. Far too many die due to the cold of blizzards, or flooding rivers. It also help keeps the undead population down however.

Mythical Monsters are perhaps the most dangerous thing a survivor can encounter. They retain their own minds, unlike their fallen brethren, most who roam the dead lands under the orders of a lich or banshee.

Lore

The Lands of Tridawn were once filled with farmers, fishers, horse breeders, and a superb Calvary army. Led by Kind Derdeki, he had alliances with the Dwarf Clans of the Iron Cliffs Mountains, although he was in a sort of cold war with the Elves of Elineshire. He was at constant war with the Orc tribes of the Howling Plains.
Tridawns landscape held many flat plains perfect for calvary combat, hills, rivers, and a few good size forest.

The wooded nation of Elineshire was pact with Elves and an abundance of animals. The forest emitted magic, mostly due to the druids that enchanted the trees with various spells. Ran by four groups of Elven families that made up a council, the Elves built their buildings inside large trees in the Iron Root Forest, nicknamed due to the extremely strong wood of the trees. The Elven buildings were built from the roots, all the way up to the canopies of the trees. This nation kept to itself most of the time, though did trade with the Dwarves on occasion.

The Broken Cliff Mountain Range is home to a various assortment of Dwarven clans, most of which work together in large mountain-wide cities. Mines liter the cliffs, and deep within the mountains interior, abandon, dead cities from old Skaven settlements. Rather cold when traveling above ground, and rather hot below ground.

Major Races

The human race is abundant, diverse, and free for the majority. Able to take up a career for themselves if they dont mind the risk of it. Most dwell along side Halflings in Tridawn, but some might reside in the mountains, learning smithy skills from Dwarves, or perhaps learning herbalism from an elf in Elineshire. Many look up to the various Noble families that fight for Kingship each time the opening arises.

The sly and , and though they are as abundant as humans, they live a much more strict life style, and tend to stay in larger groups, making their cities fewer, but much larger. Most stay at the social class they are born in. They live along side the plants, animals, and Gnomes of the forest, living and learning how to survive in a vast forest. Sort of a magical race in nature, most Elves tend to learn a spell or two in life. They are ran by a council of Elven Councilmen, who are elected by the Druids of the forest.
  • Average Life span is 250.

The proud and hearty Dwarves of the Broken Cliff Mountain Range hold close to their tradition. Their numbers are many, and though they are able to branch out into anything they want too, most don't. Keeping ties to families and clans, the Dwarves have a rivalry with the Skaven, and with the help of Humans and Elves, hunted most of their race down, nearly exterminating them.
Though once the Humans and Elves learned they were infact an intelligent race, and not monsters, they quickly shunned the Dwarfs responsible. Most Dwarves still are racist towards Skaven, more so than the other races.
Most of the Clans work together to form a sort of council system.
  • Average life span is 100. Live longer than humans, but age the same
  • Grow as tall as 4'5 to 5'0
  • Skin colors vary as much as humans
  • Very proud and traditional race.
  • A magical race too, but tend to also accept technology

Their numbers tend to be behind the other races, mostly due to many dying in battle. Most orcs are seen as barbarians and savages, and they live in nomadic tribes up in the Howling Winds. The tribes are at constant war, and most Orcs are raised to go to battle. Those that aren't raised for battle, are raised for Shaman ship, where they take part in helping run tribes. They tend to keep Goblins, and they see each other as cousins of sorts. They tend to speak their mind like Dwarves, be more aggressive than humans, and have for a respect for nature like Elves.
  • Same life span as humans, but most don't tend to reach that age
  • Can grow to be anywhere from 5'5 to 7'1
  • Skin colors tend to be either a shade of green, brown, and vary rarely grey
  • Very respectful towards warriors, though they tend to look down on any other kind of person.
  • Not much of a magical race, nor that of technology

Minor Races
Sk_PlagueMonk_LineDrawing_01_02_Daarken.jpg

Skaven, a nearly dead race. Most tend to be either extremely rude and straight forward, or the opposite; shy and timid. Ages before the Undead came to life, they were hunted down by the other major races for being mistaken for monsters. Once a treaty was made, the Skaven held a grudge, and most didn't return to the cities they were slaughtered in. Most Skaven take jobs as mercenary companies, assassins, or thieves. The most organized and largest Skaven group is "The Black Paw".
A mercenary group of sorts, they work somewhere in the mountains, and could be hired to hunt someone down, for protection, or to steal something.

  • Fur color varies from brown, white, grey, black, and rarely a mixture of several colors
  • Most tend to be rather tall at 5'5 to 6'8, but due to having a naturally forward shoulders look about 5'3 to 6'0
  • Have naturally sharp claws, which many use as weapons.
  • (Only two allowed)

Tending to be a smaller and much rarer race, Halflings are much more likely to be seen in the lands of Tridawn. They tend to be more charismatic and intelligent than the average human, but weaker as well.
  • Same life span as dwarves
  • Can grow to be 3'0 to 4'0 foot
  • Same skin color as humans
  • Naturally weaker
  • Very technological race
Female_ForestGnome_Ranger.jpg

The Gnomes of Elineshire tend to be the similar to Halflings. Though they share being more intelligent, charismatic and shorter, they tend to be magic in nature than to rely on technology.
  • Same life span as Elves
  • Can grow to be 3'0 to 4'0 foot
  • Same skin color as Elves
  • Naturally weaker
  • Very Magical race
9-goblin-warboss.jpg

Goblins consider themselves the cousins of Orcs, and share many family resemblances. They tend to be the opposite of Halflings and Gnomes, being faster and stronger than the other two short races.
  • Height identical to Gnomes and Halflings
  • Skin similar to Orcs
  • Age similar to Dwarves
  • Not magical, nor technological
  • Strong for being so short
