Killers alike

"yup" replied spider as he cleaned his Machete

The girl slowly climbed out of the window, slowly climbing down into the alley. This was Siren, a girl with an amazing voice and a cannibal as well. She feasted on the little criminal scum who lived in the lousy apartment buildings, but, could also be hired for assassinations. A mere thirteen-year-old, she was a bit new to the world of murder. But, after her first kill, her ex, she knew it was perfect for her. As she smiled, remembering the taste of his blood, and continued down the building. Then, voices came to her ears. A young woman, with a knife in her hand, stained with blood, and two men, one in a cloak, then other, actually cute.

Wait. There was a third man down there!

The middle of the night was the worst time to be out, especially in the country's murder capitol. But that's where she was. Trying to make her way to work with only the moon and dim street lamps to light her way. Her quick, rushed steps, hitting the concrete as she rushed along. In her arms was an over-stuffed bag filled with bottles her employer requested her to bring in. Nervously she glanced behind her, causing herself to miss a step and nearly trip over a break in the concrete. The bottles clattered when she stumbled and nearly turned her ankle.

"Blast it." she hissed, jostling her bag more securely in her arms and tugged her shawl back over her shoulder. She would have worn something a little warmer than the white summer dress and shawl, but her employer had a very specific dress code, even for the caterers. She only hoped she made it there in one piece.

With another worried look around, she started on her way again. Practically running past one of the alleys to cross the street. Dark shadowy alleys were like open closet doors. All kinds of monsters hid in there, and Tabitha didn't want to meet them.

Fangs wondered what action to take. He didn't particularly care for people, especially not other murderers. They leave less prey for himself when they enter his territory. However, the work in front of him was quite admirable. This gave him a small amount of respect for the ones in front of him. He was just about to speak when he heard a sound coming from the end of the alley. His mind was immediately distracted from the ones in front of him, as he began to move forward to investigate.

"what was that ?" Spider said as he heard the commotion and turned around to face the end of the ally

The third walked closer to the other group, and they noticed him. She was still unknown to the group, and she pressed herself against the alley wall. She was still far above them.

Spider paused he felt like some one was watching him from up high and took out a torch and turned it on, spider shone the beam on the nearest low roof top then worked from low to high.

Siren froze. The cute one was moving the beam over the building, and soon the beam moved over her. They all saw her.

Spides shone the light and for a second it showed up a person on the roof he flicked back to where he saw the figure and shone it directly on to the person, "hey you friend or foe?" spider asked.

"Depends on who you are! I'm Siren!" she leapt from the wall and landed in the middle of them, striking a defensive pose.

"the names Spider" Spider said putting out his hand

She looked down at his hand, not impressed. "So, you're Spider? Just to let you know, I've EATEN better killers than you. Wrapping up your victims for everyone to see? So easy to find DNA!"

"The Fuzz havens worked out who i am as i wear gloves and frame the murders on the ex's of the person i killed " spider said and showed his hands which both had blue gloves.

Tabitha didn't stop walking. Not even when she thought she heard footsteps behind her. Common sense was telling her to look and see if someone was actually there. But with the way goosebumps were running up her arms, and a the chill of fear running down her spine - she didn't dare look back. What if someone WAS there? What if she were being followed! Tabitha didn't have any real weapons on her. Just the key chain with her house keys and a small can of pepper spray.

Tabitha walked a bit faster. She hugged her bag closer to her chest, trying to muffle the clanking bottles that were being jostled even harder with her speed.

Fangs let a smile escape his lips as he heard the sound grow slightly louder. The voices of the other killers began to fade as he inched closer to the sound. As he escaped the safe enclosure of the alley he spied the one causing the noise. His mouth began to water in anticipation as he followed the woman.

She still wasn't impressed. Turning to look at the woman, obviously the infamous killer stitches, and smiled. "You guys going to the Gathering?"

Now Tabitha was sure she was being followed. Her mouth went dry, and she missed a stepped. Causing a loud clank from her bottles to ring out in the night. Shuffling her bag in to one arm, she used her free hand to dig around in the pocket of her white dress. Searching for her keychain and that protective can of pepper spray. Her pace slowed as she tried to keep the bag balanced and dig around in her pocket.

She made a soft sound of triumph when her fingers circled the keys. Tabitha kept the tiny canister firmly in hand, but didn't pull it out of her pocket yet. She tried to speed up her walking again without letting her bag slip out of her arm. Work was just a few more blocks away. If she could make it there, she'd be fine!

Fangs happily rejoiced in his head. He had found a prize. He got his tekko kagi ready to strike as he neared the women. She looked fit and healthy, perfect for the taking. The loud clanking coming from the bag gave him the chance he needed to get nearer. As the sound rang out he leapt forward, now only a few feet from her. He readied himself to strike.

The flash of headlights and the rattle of wheels heralded the arrival of a car as it turned the corner just a block away from Tabitha.

The vehicle was a sleek yet sensible silver sedan, rather commonplace in the city, although on closer scrutiny one would find that the windows had been treated with tinting that probably skirted the legal limit. The license plate was a vanity deal: SHRDNGR. Probably a last name or some other personal reference that no one would ever be able to make out, as most vanity plates tended to be. All in all, not particularly remarkable.

As it caught up to Tabitha, the car slowed, and the driver's side window rolled down. An elbow wrapped in a black silk shirt-sleeve propped up over the side of the door.

"Miss, are you alright?"

The driver was a young man, perhaps in his late twenties or early thirties. It was hard to tell much about his build this way, of course, but something about the way he was framed in the car window gave the impression of height. His features were startlingly good-looking, angular, with a bit of scruff clinging to his chin that lent character. He had short, sandy brown hair and wore a pair of those glasses with barely-there frames, from behind which he was peering at Tabitha with evident concern.
