FOR THIS PLOT:
Plot 133: Aged to Perfection
Muse A (barely out of college) meets Muse B (several years their senior) by chance when they jump into the same cab together during the morning rush. They quickly decide to share the cab and engage in small talk on the way to their destinations, which happen to be on the same side of town. Conversation flows easily and there is a definite physical attraction between the two strangers. When the ride is over for Muse A, Muse B generously offers to pay the whole fare. In exchange and somewhat on a whim, Muse A offers Muse B their phone number and the pair make plans to meet up sometime soon.
Despite their age difference, Muse A and Muse B have a whirlwind courtship. They laugh over the things they don't have in common and eagerly introduce each other to what's popular for their generation: Atari vs PS4, Vinyls vs MP3. They spend every possible moment they can spare with one another. After several weeks, Muse A and Muse B make their relationship official. Muse A invites Muse B to a special dinner at which Muse B will be introduced to Muse A's parents. When Muse B arrives and Muse A's mother/father turns around to greet them, they're stunned to come face-to-face with their same-age business associate/boss.
CARA KNIGHT
Name: Cara Knight
Age: Appears 27, technically 234 years (due to the bond Cara had)
Gender: Female
Species: Werewolf
History:
You were born to a large family, three older siblings, you, and a younger sibling. Then another sibling came a little later on into the family, and your mother was expecting twins. Everyone was happy, but you didn't understand the occasion. You were already the rat of the family, striving for attention, so why did they need more children? Your mother died after childbirth. The sixth and seventh child... the twins that were supposed to be whole came out scattered. Your new sibling, the youngest of them all, had survived while the other one and your mother fell fast asleep. You couldn't find yourself to forgive the twin that survived. They killed your mother and a new sibling.
They all enjoyed the newcomer, despite what's happened to their mother. You lived in resentment, anger, and loneliness. What had once been the only thing you could hold on to became nothing but ash and dust. Favorites became inevitable because you felt you'd never been enough from the start. You often leaned your head on the eldest male, your brother, and wept for your mother. Flames licked the sun, and soon, the wood. It was a beautiful day, but only until the night. The half moon shone brightly, as you enjoyed the cool breeze that passed by. It was dry, the warm air bringing on the sparks that soon turned into the devil's eyes. It was all so sudden. You couldn't see a thing in the blaze of it all. You were blinded by the light, whimpering and screaming. Where was your family? Who killed them? You immediately thought of her.
You could never get an explanation. You ran out of your room, trying to dodge the flames that licked your sides and stopped for a moment when another yell entered the dirty atmosphere. It was your cousin. You ran after the faint voice, trying to find a way around the dust and ash. He was standing alone. There was no one by your cousin's side. The thought immediately came back. You needed someone to blame. You blamed him. Someone saved you and your cousin. Humans came and tried to put out the fire. You were angry, sad, hurt. you felt weak. Your cousin held you close, unable to speak, just as devastated as you were. You didn't see it. You heard people yelling and screaming in your mother tongue. Your cousin brought you back to your grandmother's house to be healed. Your family was gone, so you continued to grow up in the long years of childhood and adolescence with your cousin.
Your grandmother became your second mother figure and your cousin, he was like an older brother to you. You both reveled in being idiotic and loving, and while it was the best time of your life, what could've been the start of something new, you just couldn't shake off the feeling that your family died. You couldn't shake off the thought that you were unable to get justice for your mother's death. Then there came a time when romance was something you needed, something you wanted. A sorceress who travelled from one place to the next gave you the bond you so desperately desired. You heard each other, she knew your cruel intentions, but did not sway you from your path. Though she disliked your ways, she did not challenge you, only offered acts of intellectualized empathy.
You romanced the woman, you fell in love. Never had you felt so much compassion for one person. You wanted to be hers, she wanted to be yours. In your homelands, you both visited each other often. You felt that you were unable to bear the pain of being so far away from her, but as time passed by, both of your goals changed. She wanted to see the world, you let her. Nothing could take away the joy you felt. As you fell asleep one night, you were awakened by a sharp, seering pain right across your stomach. You screamed, you cried. It wasn't true. In a fit of rage and sorrow, you tore off the comforter and knocked down anything you could get your hands on. There was nothing on your stomach, no deep wound, but the stab in the heart, it was there.
You shivered as you felt a sword pull out and all the life that was once in you, left you for good. You saw it fit to do whatever you wanted, so long as you thought it was right. You kept losing the people that mattered most- who knew if your grandmother or your cousin would be next on the list? You decided to change. You cackled a little, a small sinister smile creeping it's way up on to your lips. You didn't care what other people thought. You were an individualist first and last, and you had work to do. You would do your mother and younger sibling justice. you'd do it alone, without help or any interference. You didn't realize it at the time, but your sense of morality was weakening.
The thought of leaving your home was almost too good to be true, but you dwelled on the possibility of moving over to Iseth with your cousin. It would be a fresh start, a new hope. you bit your lip and licked it, wondering whether it was the best choice for you both. Then you spoke. You would go with him. Your home reminded you of things you didn't want to remember; perhaps this new city would be different. You lived with your cousin for a while before finally getting a place where you could live for a while. A beautiful, small penthouse was your luxury and it still is to this day. You'd worked your way up, from your education back then, to the language school in your new home, and settled in as a bartender. You could fake those smiles and kick out people when the time was right.
NPCS IN CARA'S LIFE:
Brett Dalton (Co-worker, Neighbor) – This is Cara's co-worker. They have an awesome relationship, except for the part where Cara has trouble opening up to him about her troubles, and most notably, her past. He wants to help her, but she can't allow for him to know. Face preferred is Brett Dalton, maybe he likes/loves her. He is open, really open. Considerate, has lots of emotional intelligence (basically knows how to empathize with people even if he's never experienced the same trauma before, look it up if that confuses you), and obviously knows how to handle Cara and her… quirky ways of dealing with different situations. I'd prefer it if he didn't have any mental ailments or addiction problems. It's okay if he had them in his past though. Plus, he lives across the street from her and they get to open their windows and see each other every day if they wanted to, or hang up their laundry on their small ass balconies. He's extremely open otherwise, you guys! : D
Joel Kinnaman (One Night Stand) – This dude was a one night stand from a few years ago, maybe more, I don't know, but it was a long time ago. It was probably the more intellectual kind, but also the sexy kind. He's basically an intelligent man who knows how to talk and not be all "Hey, we're drunk, let's have sex" the moment they get into the apartment. He does stuff and talks deep convo before leading up to the "important" highlight of the night, or whatever the fuck you wanna call it haha! He left a mark on Cara that she hasn't been able to erase since, so it's like sexual tension freeze up whenever she sees him because damn, she had a good night, and no other man was able to make her feel that way as much as he did. The rest is open. Joel Kinnaman is the preferred face, unless you want to swap with Brett Dalton. xD
Dominic Sherwood (Cousin) – This is Cara's cousin. To put it bluntly, they are essentially "brother and sister platonic soulmates that would die for each other" because that's what family does. He is the only one who knows all about her and her past (which I will tell you briefly about, if you take him, though I might be making some adjustments, so bear with me) and he is the only one she opens up to. He's an empathetic and caring person, always there for her, and may or may not like the way she does things, but even so, he encourages her to do good things and knows when he's crossed the line. He sure as heck knows not to cross her lines and lets her basically fill out her own identity instead of trying to make her be something she isn't ready to be or just doesn't want to be. It's a lovely platonic family ship and while I have Dominic Sherwood listed down (I think it'd be cute if he was her brother), I'm open to other suggestions! Just be sure to run them by me first and my only priority is that they have brown eyes or blond hair. This guy is 31 years and his history and personality is pretty much open! If you think an existing character would work for this, please let me know!
