"They made me do terrible things. Things you don't want to know."
Name: Victoria Bane
Occupation: Self-Proclaimed Vampire Hunter, Legally Classified as an Illegal Vampire Hunter because she has no permit or papers stating that she has the right to hunt them.
Personality: Victoria is a clever, fun-loving individual. She's sophisticated, blunt, and always trusts her instincts to help her follow through the tough cracks of her night time job. She hates theorizing and is an impatient individual. Victoria is prone to manipulation and revenge, is adventurous, and somewhat of an obscure sex kitten. Also considered pragmatic and intuitive.
Victoria. A sweet angel with two loving parents, snatched up from underneath their noses one night and never to be seen again. She reveled in pain from that day forward, only three years old when she was taken away by a madame in black, a sinuously beautiful, but pale woman. The young girl was frightened and miserable. Emily Dawes was the head of an escort agency that helped the police department, exchanging information and other services for discretion and protection. Emily Dawes' escort agency was known to be the police's most trusted affiliation.
Victoria would immediately find out there was much more to the escort agency than what was known by the metropolitan police department. There were secrets they hid, and her involvement would come back to haunt and bite her in the neck. She had no one to latch onto, no one who cared. The world was a dark, cold place and she was the pawn in its game. Victoria was scrubbed and cleansed of dirt and dust from head to toe by two servants who worked for the escort agency. The ginger-haired girl was then recruited into a room where other girls of different ages and height were.
Victoria was given Elizabeth as her mentor— a complete contradiction to the Madame in Black, a bold, lascivious woman. Victoria was taught that although she was there to satiate men's needs through acts of service, dating, and even carnally, she needed to push herself to take charge of the situation. The young woman escorted often, as it was the only thing she knew now. It felt as though her parents had stopped searching for her a long time ago and that she was stuck in a neverending cycle of unpredictability with different men.
As a person who worked hand in hand with the police, Victoria noticed later on what she did not realize before. Something was off about the atmosphere. The Madame in Black began to get off her schedule earlier than was expected, as well as those who had mostly been mentors, and after a night or two, Victoria began to notice subtle streaks of crimson blood on other girls's bodies.
She found out the truth when she saw those protruding fangs and those red, bloodshot eyes gleaming in the moonlight. Her heart pounded in her chest, begging her to leave, but fear made her stay still in that moment and be hypnotized like the weak object she was. She didn't remember anything for a while until one particular triggering event– Elizabeth feeding off of the Madame in Black. She tried to erase it all, deny the reality, but it wasn't enough. She'd been broken.
The worst had yet to come. When Victoria was nineteen, she gathered up the courage to speak to a detective named Andrew, who specialized in supernaturals. Andrew, despite being weary of the others, investigated regardless. Their plan was foiled and Victoria suffered for her betrayal to the Madame in Black. She was forced to become a vampire, or so she believed. Every last inch of her blood was taken from her body until a sorceress stopped the process from going further and took Victoria under her wing.
In exchange for taking Victoria under her wing, the Madame in Black demanded that Victoria did not recall any memories of her time at the escorting agency. She would be permanently exiled and if seen where the Madame in Black was, she would be decapitated on the spot for the escort agency's protection and of its clientele. The sorceress agreed to terms by bringing Victoria back to life as a revenant, an undead with cold skin, no heartbeat, and a mind full of careless emotions.
The sorceress played the Madame in Black though, as there was one memory she secretly managed to keep with Victoria. The night Victoria was attacked by the Madame and sucked dry to her death. The memory that would serve her for the rest of her years to come, the memory that would motivate her to get revenge on the woman who did her and many other women wrong.
