Sedric nodded, looking out the window at the bland landscape. Two to three hours wasn't bad. He glanced back at Lance when he asked that one question. The question always made Sedric laugh.
"Well, honestly, not much at all. I like to read classic to sort of classic books, watch some porn, blog a bit, people watch from nice apartment windows, depending on where I am, run from people like you, and sleep around as much as I can. By as much as I can, I mean I never leave my house so it usually involves paying for a hooker and hoping I get an attractive male, but I sometimes settle. Not like I'm short on money. But seriously, putting aside my not-so-private private life, let's talk business. I need a computer that wont break down, will have a lot of data, and will last a long time. I also need to call a friend so I can get him to deliver my back up stuff. Where can I get the computer and will you freak out if I give him your address?"

"You're not giving my address to anyone. If you want to have mail sent somewhere, you'll have to get a PO box. In terms of computers, I'm sure there's a good computer store somewhere nearby. We can stop by a library or a phone booth for an address if you'd like. I've got some shopping I have to do anyways... My clothes are a little outdated and I need something besides fast food and ice cream," he complained.

After about an hour of driving, he pulled over at a gas station to fill up and look for a phone book. Life was simple. Life was good.

Sedric nodded, sighing lightly.
"Fine, I'll get a PO box... and a phone book, seriously? I didn't know those things still existed," he mumbled, looking out the window. He looked over Lance's clothes and chuckled.
"Yeah, just a little outdated."

After enjoying the scenery for an hour, he sighed happily once at the gas station. He jumped out of the car and ran into the building, immediately to the bathroom. After a good two minutes he walked out, drying his wet hands on his shirt and looking around the store.
"Candy bars," he said in a sing song voice, grabbing some candy and walking to the counter. After paying for the candy he walked out, up to Lance.
"Twix, Snickers, Kit-Kat, Milky Way, or Hershey?" he said, holding out the candy.

Lance glared at the chocolate in a distasteful way, "I'm good thanks. Look up your computer store and we'll stop along the way. Once we're out in my neck of the woods, you won't be able to get out much again. I am going to take care of a few things in the truck. These refrigerated goods won't last long enough for me to eat them all."

Lance pulled out a lockpicking set and went to work on the glove box of the truck. He twisted his fingers back and forth around the tools until he heard an approving click. He prayed for one more stroke of luck as he opened the container. He looked inside and grinned. Must have been his day. With a quick change of clothing, he swiped a uniform out of the glove box and put it on. He was ready to sell stolen ice cream goods to the little station he had stopped at. It was locally owned, double luck today.

Sedric paused a minute. He put all the candy bars in his seat.
"What the fuck do you expect me to look it up with? Yellow pages?" he asked, making a gun with his fingers and fake shooting himself. He slammed the door shut and walked over the phone booth, grabbing the large Dex books that was hanging from it and flipping through the pages for something that was familiar. He looked over at Lance, laughing lightly.
"You can not be serious!" he called over, his finger scanning down until he found the number to a Best Buy. He'd call and ask for locations near them. He needed a computer.

It was almost three hours and two bags of beef jerky later that Lance finally was turning into his driveway. Home, where he could sit back and clean his guns. Lance questioned the overpriced laptop that had Sedric in such a good mood, but he couldn't question it. Lance was young, but he was old-fashioned. It showed in his home. A pretty little log cabin glowed over a man-made lake. Lance sighed in relief to see his boys were already barking in the excitement of his homecoming.

He didn't bother stopping to get his things as he jumped out of the car. Two big, sloppy mastiffs came running out of their doggie doors, one tan, one black. Lance knelt down and embraced them as they tackled him over. They slobbered all over his face with their giant tongues as their tails became lethal with happiness.

"Boys! Boys! Down! Yeah yeah, I brought you snacks. Have you been good?" he said as he wrestled one to its back.

Sedric held the box with the laptop protectively behind him. He looked at the dogs and took a step back, trying not to be noticed. He didn't have much contact with animals, or anything for that matter. He watched with mild curiosity as the beasts slobbered all over Lance.
"No, they burned the house down. They suddenly grew hands and an actual brain and did something," he blurted without thinking much about it.
"Can we just get inside? And leave them outside? I've never been around dogs for very long."
