~The Premise~


Long ago in a land comprised of Faerie, Elves, Dragons! The world of Norindul was a land comprised of many rulers and at one time those rulers ALL bid for control. The lands fell to chaos and from that chaos those that would see this land torn apart rose from great slumbers to claim the minds of the practicioners of mortal evil. The wars the slaughter lasted for years to come, and in the end the losses were surmounted it took a great King of Elves to come to throne soon after his fathers passing in a great battle. This young elf Eliel challenged the idea of this conflict. And before long in his youthful wisdom he brought the great kings, the races new and old together to converge in his grand hall.

There was no easy task to be had here, Great scorn had already been sewn but before long the soft almost holy voice that spoke to each of them reached them. It wasn't until the prospect of peace became a very real threat to the armies of darkness, that the evil showed its hand in this game. The young High King Eliel was nearly killed before all of them by a Dwarven general, yet survived the attack. In the madness of the dwarf the truth of demons and devils came out, and the contract. the Pact of mercy as it was called; was signed.

Many years have passed since this time. Kings have fallen and with their death new kings have risen slowly the peace seems to be withering down though still it stands strong with the memory of the lives lost in the chaos that had once been.

The story for us however takes place in a different time. Peace still reigns supreme... however King.. Eliel has finally fallen to the void. One can only wonder how long the peace will hold without the voice of innocence that the young king brought to the table. One can only wonder....

However, Not all are effected by these events. The world may grow contempt with darkness and before long it could become a terrible wave against the marble colossus of walls that surround our great city. "Kalt" It is known as the capital metropolis of service to the world; surrounded in sky high walls made of the purest white marble, with steins of gold seeping through the grand architecture. Within its walls however is a completely different life known from the whole of Norindul. Within the city of Kalt it is a true Oligarchy of sorts. There are one-hundred guilds and whats more; every guild is its own government. In this city every guild brings their lead representative to the grand council and they converge in the fifth tier and the Grand Guild Hall. One leader from every guild in the city make up the grand council, a board of individuals that make direct decisions for the great city. What is truly miraculous about Kalt however is that they do not follow any laws outside of their great city... the rule of kings, queens... none of it matters to these people for they are their own entity.

The story specifically focuses on two guilds in this great city however. The Darkmoon Mercenaries, founded by the large goliath of a man known as Wolfsin Silvermoon, and his best friend; an unseen shadow known as Elite Darkshade. Then the prestigious Market capturers known as Comatose Keep. The two are closely connected by personal, and business reasons. The Darkmoon Mercenaries are a family of sorts, a group of extremely talented warriors and scholars... that take on jobs much like any other guild. Specifically however, they are known to Kalt for being the fastest upstart guild to ever take refuge in this great city, quickly climbing the ladder to become one of the most prominent guilds in the whole of Norindul. Comatose, has a dark past but in their time rose to be the cities, number one guild that handles and rules over the Cities market. What secrets do these guilds harbor? What is the key to their success? All questions that only those that drink hearty mead in the great halls of Darkmoon Tavern and sing and dance in the Comatose Keep, might find out. Will you share a Drink?

Way of operation~
This roleplay will follow a cause an effect DnD like route. Any action you take that is not guided directly by a gm could result in varying results. This way of doing things allows for a strong dynamic in a sand box roleplay like this, were the story is so up in the air. Let the characters change the world. Every character is influential. Now below is the example as to the kind of results I am talking about.

Sam drops a torch in the wood, that torch causes a forest to catch fire, and before you know it animals could start charging towards you. Let us say then that you take the time and stop the animals and the fire accepting minor casualties on your party. Well done, you stopped the threat effectively. On another side of the coin let us say that you deter the charge and instead it ends up rampaging a village. A hunter happened to be in these woods and returns to see that his home is destroyed his wife and kids etc. We get a bit crazy from here. Lets assume no one explains to the man what truly happened. Perhaps he becomes vengeful, and makes a deal witha devil to get revenge. Now you have started a Continent changing event, and depending on how far the problem gets out of hand it could turn to world, or realm. This is the kind of element I wish to include into this roleplay.

Rules~

1. Remain true to your character and their morals. Do NOT let yourself do an out of character decision or act because I promise parts of this roleplay will tempt you to do so.

2. If holding up a person for more than 3 days I will take liberty of moving your part along. The second day I will try and contact you however so that will be your chance to communicate with me and let me know whats going on with you. Not trying to be a dick, but rps die by inactivity; I don't want this to die. v.v

3. All combat will be decided pre write up. it might be done in a collaborative post using.. www.titanpad.com that being said there is no thing marked as truly being OP in this roleplay as I will let you know if I think its story breaking, because at the end of the day STORY is all I care about for this.

4. There will be a group that will be used as an Archive of information as it rises. I require all joining this rolepklay to also join that. This way you will always be in contact. There will be an out of character section in that group, so DO not post out of character stuff here. I want you to pm me if you have questions that can't be answered otherwise.

There are two main guilds we are focusing in this storyline currently: Darkmoon Mercenaries and Comatose Keep. Its more or less required for at least one of your characters to belong to one of these guilds. There are other smaller/less important guilds listed in our Group if you're interested in making a second/third/fourth/fifth character outside of Darkmoon or Comatose. Feel free to request information on any guilds.

Appearance: Wolfsin at his bare essence is a very strong muscular fair toned man. His hair is a snow white mane of wild unkempt hair; braided at the sides and near the back into war braids. Over all it touches his mid back. His shoulders are extremely broad and his chest is large. His neck thick and his face heroic with fine detail to his jaw. Wolfsin has a 8 Inch long goatee that seperates into two long war braids as well, but aside from that is fairly clear in his face. Over his right eye is a scar that is unknown to most, but that just adds to the multitude of scars that plague the rest of his body. Along his entire back, and both of his arms; Wolfsin has many tribal almost celtic appearing tattoos. one is a trail of celtic tribal lines and runes of magic, with A pack of white wolves that ravel down his right arm. The other is a crest dedicated to his guild, with some free space for more upon his forearm. Wolfsin could be described as hair, body hair easily visible, and many large furry legs. A strange character of sorts but one that is easily picked out of the crowd. Whats more; he is the near polar opposite to his brother at arms. Elite.


Symbol: The Darkmoon Crest is a symbol chosen by Elite and Wolfsin. Each of them have this symbol somewhere upon their body, and the crest upon their armor. The Symbol is a Cross, with a brilliant crescent moon set behind it. The cross is made of swords. and a Black feather hangs from one of the pommels to the swords making up the cross. Below it a white and black wolf sit and howl to the moon upon the cross. More specifically to Wolfsin might be the ritual written on his back in between the scars.

Name Origin: To know the name one would know Wolfsin's life. The original name he was given was Little wolf, something granted to him by a mother hed never known. His father and mothe rclain in the same day they lost their lives to let him live. When this was told to him by the great Lobos, a Male wolf that had openly accepted him into his pack. Little wolf was not so little anymore. So he created his own name. Born from sin.. survived of the death of his parents he considered his own existence a sin of sorts. From this he took on the name Wolfsin... and the pack he followed was the Silvermoon pack. Little is known prior to this for Wolfsin but there is a lot missing to the story one might think.

Lunar Sage, Sage of the Lunar Sword, Alpha Wolf, Lord of Wynters Moon.

Alternate Forms: Lycanthrope~ The essential Werewolf standing at the height of 10 Foot tall, and built like a brick house. The Lycan has all the characteristics of a wolf but stands on its hind legs and can function as a human. In addition the strength of the lycan is halved in human form but still very present. The purest silver is the only thing able to truly kill a Lycanthrope without utterly destroying them as a whole, as with the night comes the moon and the moon will let them regenerate entirely. They are fully venerable in this state, and often the legend is that you only hunt a Werewolf when it is most dangerous. When the new moon is present and no light guides your way, that is when the beast is weakest. Wolfsin has a bit more pressence to his werewolf form, and can wear armor. There is much to his past that he has yet to find out concerning his unique ability.

Anima: Hyper, Wolfsin is very boisterous and loud by nature and makes it a point to be heard by everyone around him if he can. he is fun and enjoys the finer points in life while appreciating the small things. he expresses that wholeheartedly when comfortable.

Persona: Sometimes Wolfsin will recede into a level of protection. this rarely happens and only by specific triggers, but he might come off very bossy or mean to anyone that does not know why he does this.

First Impressions: Most come out of a conversation with Wolfsin laughing, but they enjoy it genuinely.

Primary Objective: Currently Wolfsin has a lot that he is striving for. He wants to establish fine connections with the Comatose Cafe guild known for their mastership in crafts. He wishes to bring his guild to the top of Kalts highest tier. And there is still much of his past and origin that he longs to find out.

Secondary Objectives: To become the greatest swordsman to ever exist. He has crafted a unique swordsmanship that utilizes A heavy sword with a finesse type fighting style.

Priorities: Wolfsin values his guild above all else. they are his family and he will protect them until his dying breath.

Motivation: A sense of belonging, a Longing for Family and people surrounding him that he cares for.

Accomplishments: Too much to list. Having fought in some of the greater battles in the recent wars Wolfsin has slain many generals thought to be unkillable otherwise. Never once has he done this with dishonor, though one time it was taken out of his hands when his best friend saved his life rather than let him die with honor. Aside from that Wolfsin has established a strong guild and a wonderful family and community of people to constantly surround himself with.

Greatest Achievement: Establishing The Darkmoon mercenaries within the rat race of Kalt.

Failures: Wolfsin has had a few notable failures, One including being too late to save a child he'd met along the road whom was marked by a witch. Another includes when he was not there to save whom he would consider his father, and the Orcs killed Lobos his pack father.

Biggest Failure: Wolfsin's greatest failure is one he prefers to forget, but it involved a woman whom he was truly in love with. He took her to war with him and while she sat in his tent the enemy army sent in assassins to slay Wolfsin in his sleep, Wolfsin was away at this time drinking with other warriors when his love was slain. he returned to find her body, and one of the assassins gutted in a corner. Wolfsin went on a rampage after this but no amount of slaughter would fill the hole left in his heart by this failure.

Self-Confidence: Wolfsin comes off as very confident, and in his own ways; He is. However He has his lacking moment, and has a slightly harder time reading the whims of women now.

Traumas: His greatest Failure. And the nightmare of the Darkness that consumed his mother.

Embarrassments: Wolfsin doesn't get embarrassed easily but he hates getting caught out in a situation he can't handle. He also has a weakness in confidence with women partially because he doesn't believe he deserves to be cordial with them. He is easily emberassed when defeated in combat by his brother in arms Elite. Elite has always been better at nearly everything and his speed makes him hard to fight even in swordsmanship. Wolfsin loses every time he faces Elite in anything physical, outside of Strength competitions.

Soothers: Bardic songs. Ale and mead. And a woman's touch through his hair.

Instigators: Random, and When he is sure he will lose something precious again. For his main trauma it is whenever he gets "close" to a woman.

Regrets: Picked up drinking However he refuses to stop now. Killed far too many in the name of a King he didn't believe in.

  • Charm is, like many little girls, shy and reserved. She was raised not to question the indisputable fact that little girls should speak only when spoken to, and that they should do so quickly and without attitude or personal opinion. The young girl hardly breathed a word before her fifth nameday, the day she found herself wandering a dark wood, scared and alone, stains of her mother's lifeblood still warm on Charm's pale and dirty robes.

    The young girl had been a forsaken child from birth; a bastard; a creature with impure blood whom no one should dare to love. Charm grew up knowing that she would never have a true family and that wherever she went, she would be spit upon and shamed to oblivion. This knowledge turned her into a cold, quiet thing that tried her best to be invisible, non-existing... An easy task during the years she spent alone, wandering around Seiristelle, seeking comfort when it came and pursuing survival halfheartedly. Around her twelfth nameday, she became acquainted with a nice but mysterious man who showed her only kindness. This man convinced her, gradually, that the world could be a better place than her mother's family had led her to believe.

    Charm's transformation was slow, and is still quite difficult for her. Although she grew up believing that she could not depend on anyone, and that she should never trust or care for anyone, she is starting to realize how good it feels to be a part of something, a member of the family. She is becoming a more open person, although she will hardly take the initiative to start conversation or make your acquaintance. At her current age, sixteen, she will usually stand in the background and hover near those she has grown to trust, which in her case mostly consists of her guildmates. She does, however, leap from her quiet shell when she recognizes that someone requires aid she can fulfill. When it comes to healing and herbalism, Charm transforms into a lighthearted young girl with passion for what she does, and a willingness to help those who deserve it - or those who can pay for it. She's a mercenary, after all.

Vaeranel was raised solely by her mother, her father having had no part in her upbringing despite knowing about her title as his daughter. Some would think Vaer was stripped of crucial supports by growing up, not only between races, but in 'half a home', as the young werecats would call it. On the contrary, Vaeranel's mother took not twice, but thrice the initiate to be the mother and father Vaer needed. Her mother was a strong, fearless woman who stood for what she knew with all her might and never backed down in the face of diversity or weakness. It was through this positive influence that Vaer too grew up independent and content within herself for who she was as an individual. She never longed for a mate, never longed to fit in perfectly with the elven or werecat society, never wished to please anyone else, besides her mother. It was through this path of self confidence that she found the way of the druid. Despite what even her beloved mother said, she followed her heart in what she knew was the pathway to happiness. Her passion for druidism grew quickly, and while her mother never approved, saying she was better off finding a true means of survival, not some 'useless old magick' nobody called for anymore. But no matter what people told Vaer, she continued on her path, confident in her decisions, and in her heart's desires.

By nature, Vaeranel is a sympathetic person and through her mother's teachings she came to know compassion and to offer it readily to not only others of her kind, but to all of the earth's creatures. When she took up her studies as an apprentice druid she came into an entirely new understanding of the world around her and with this new knowledge grew an immeasurable level of respect for the world around her. As she grew to know the wild, she developed a sincere compassion for all forms of life, learning that all living beings are equal in so many ways. She strives to show kindness to those around her, and the surroundings that support her.

Because of her chosen path of Druidism Vaeranel has taken up an oath of pacifism. This philosophy was passed on to her by her teacher and is derived from the concept that nature does not lash out and attack, rather defend, and only when necessary. Like nature, Vaer refuses to show violence unless absolutely necessary for her survival. This has, at times, become a great weakness, allowing others the fancy that they can belittle and degrade her, emotionally and physically, without fear of repercussion. For reasons such as this, Vaeranel prefers to spend her time out of the company of people and instead in that of the host of nature, ones less likely to harbour hatred.

In the werecat culture, like so many, a bastard child is frowned upon. Beyond a bastard, a child born of mixed race is looked down on. Combined, a bastard half blood quickly becomes the target of rejection from society. While her mother was once a well respected member of the werecat society, Vaeranel never was. And over the years, her mother's social prowess and immaculate charisma has risen her status back up to a level of "every one has lapses of judgement". While her mother would never in her life deny her love and pride for her only born child, Vaeranel never could hit par with her mother's ability to blend into society. At a relatively young age of 20, Vaeranel left her place in her mother's home, wishing to bring shame and gossip upon her beloved mother no longer, and found herself a place out of own, deep within the woods, where she could focus on her training as a druid and build a life off the land. Few ever visit her, and few are her visits to the city. But Vaeranel has come to love and appreciate this lifestyle, raised to always be proud of the life she had.

Spending nearly all her time flitting about the forest with her brother and sisters of the wild, Vaeranel has taken her natural flexibility and balance to the extreme, fine tuning her acrobatic abilities to the point that almost nothing can knock her off her feet. However, during her time perfecting this skill, she encountered one or two major breaks, these restrict her from making large drops or leaps while in her human form.

Born of graceful races, Vaeranel shows the agility of both an elf and a werecat, coupled with her training, she's become quite skilled at movement on tricky terrain in both human and caracal forms.

Much like the others of her kind(s), she is lithe in build and will never truly develop a high degree of body muscle. While in her human form, she s highly prone to physical attacks and can't handle more than a few blows. In caracal form, however, she shows incredible strength, despite her size, as do all of her kind.

Vaeranel was born the daughter of a High Elf and a Werecat. An unlikely combination, at the very least, but at one time, her mother was not the person she is now. When Mira met Vaeranel's father, she was much like most werecats are: conceited, egotistical, and fond of all the pretty things in life. She was living her life in a carefree way, devoted to her own desires and needs and nothing else. When she came across the elf, she found a fascination not only by his riches, but by the exotic allure of a race not so often found mingling with her own. Quickly they became fascinated with one another, she for his physical perfection and incredible wealth and foreign riches, he for her exotic beauty and alluring manner by which she carried herself. She knew how to ensnare the elf, she knew how to draw him in and mine his resources with her body and charisma. They spent weeks spending his riches, rumpling sheets, and exploring in a flurry of lust thought to be love.

When Mira discovered she was with child, she was overwhelmed with happiness, what a perfect child it would be, born of the two most graceful, beautiful races coming together to create what Mira thought would be the image of perfection. But the high elf was not of the same mind set. When he found out about the child, he was appalled and afraid. His family would surely shun him, as would their culture. His passion and fascination over Mira was surpassed only by his greed and he was not willing to give up his life of comfort and prestige to raise up what his people would surely view as an abomination. He would have no part of it, despite the deep pit in his heart that began to form the second he turned his back to his child. He put the wealth to his eyes, shutting out his love for Mira and his yearning to be a father.

And so, Mira let spite fill her soul and grew to hate the thought of the High Elf, promising herself she would never again trust her heart to another, choosing to instead focus her heart on the raising of her perfect child. When Vaeranel was born, Mira felt full again, as she knew she would. But despite Mira's deepest feelings of affection and love for her unique child, society felt very much the same as what Vaeranel's father thought they would. The werecats didn't view Vaeranel as a unique gift, rather an atrocity. She looked different, and for a people who took great pride in their appearance, this was not acceptable. In her human form, her ears extended into long points, showing off her heritage, and were coated in fur, something not seen in fullbred werecats in human form. In cat form, her ears were the tell once more. Her body urged forward the form of a caracal, most visually similar to her human form, as all werecat morphs did. Because of this difference she suffered a childhood of alienation.

As she grew, Vaer stayed close with her mother, the only person who truly accepted her for who she was. At the age of 7 she met her only true friend, another who cared not for what Vaeranel was and more deeply for
who she was. Dendril was like a brother, a savior even, to Vaer. He helped her stay sane in a world where she was ridiculed for something beyond her power. When Vaer started spending more and more and more time in the woods, Dendril would follow her, looking out for her and solidifying his loyalty to his friend. At the age of 10, Vaeranel met Yntha.


Yntha came to Vaeranel one day from within the deep woods. He approached her and Dendril and informed her that he had been in the area for a while and that he had taken notice of her as she went about in her adventures and play in the great forest. He saw potential within her, in the way she connected with the woods and the earth, in the way that found a deep serenity in the woods that few people could ever find in a lifetime of searching. She saw the compassion Vaeranel held within her heart and he saw that she was a misfit of society. These, he said, were the makings of a child of the earth. Yntha was asked to be brought to Vaeranel's mother that he might make a proposition to the girl, under the supervision of her mother.

With hesitation from Dendril, Vaer agree and took the old elf back to her home. When they met with Mira, Yntha proposed an apprenticeship under him for Vaer, as a druid. Mira was shocked at first, magicks were not common among her people, and natural magicks seemed a dying art, nothing to make a living off of. But when she saw the look in her beloved daughter's eyes, the look of longing for this one place for her to belong and be at peace, she knew that the decision had already been made and that she owed it to her daughter, by love, to allow her to pursue this. Her instincts told her she could trust the old elf, but nevertheless, she charged Dendril, in secret, to watch over her daughter throughout her training.


And so, Vaeranel found a third friend in her life of loneliness and began her training as a druid. It was through drudism and natural mana that she found ultimate peace. She had always held her head high, never cared for what anyone said, never let the loneliness bother her, she was always the strong woman her mother raised her to be. But now, with this power and freedom she gained, she truly felt above all the trials of life. She felt liberation, and she became a different person.

Dendril got to see his best friend grow from a suppressed girl into a confident, flourishing woman. At 20, Vaer made the decision to leave her place in her mother's home, easing Mira's burden both socially and financially, despite her mother's protest. She build a home deep within the woods and it was there she found happiness, peace, belonging. Surrounded by nature and its creatures, she continued to learn and grow. Mira spent much of her time visiting her daughter and she herself grew fond of the natural world. Yntha became a close family friend and was much like a father to Vaer. Dendril never forgot about his promise to Mira and every day he traveled out into the woods to make sure Vaeranel was safe.

Personality description:
Jack is a loose cannon of sorts, charismatic and well spoken he could easily be mistaken as a bard. However Jack simply enjoys intellectual topics and the finer joys of flirtation and mingling. He is in many ways a social butterfly, but in his way of being consistently happy he appears almost void of emotion, which seems much like a paradox. Given some time Jack will show deeper sides to himself, but to push him to a point where he is talking seriously at all, rather than joking, is treading a field of shadows, you might wish that you hadn't.

Inventory

Casual outfits: When dressing Casually jack wears a nice formal attire with odd scraps of clothing that make it unique. he tends to wear Mithral vests and nice boots. Bells are everywhere on his attire, and he favors the colors Black and Blue. If jack is to ever dress truly formally it will be just a far more intricate version of his normal Harlequin attire. He wears a full Mask to cover the whole of his face, and his outfit is closer to that of a dressy suit.

Combat outfits: In Combat Jack will don a set of pitch black leather armor with neatly placed silver studs to accent it. The armor is skin tight, but form fitting and lets him move without any impairment. He wears strapped boots that keep him light on his feet because the toes are cut out of them in their design. He has bracers and a different mask of a purely white face that is smiling, a jesters crown. His one armor is armored in hard boiled leather to cover his shoulder, while his right is left completely bare aside from the bracer that extends to just shy of his elbow. There are plenty of smallb lade slits to be found all over the armor, for Jack to keep hidden blades, which is only made easier with the second layer of his battle attire.

Jack wears a dark looking cloak that extends to a hood that shadows his face, but the cape covers the rest of his body even in movement, making it nearly impossible to predict how he will attack when his hands are hidden beneath the cloak. On every piece of his armor there are deep blue sets of inlay and beautiful Elven writing. It is an ornate set that Jack will soon become vastly known for, just like he'd been so many times before.

Accessories: Three Necklaces.
1. A thin line of beads knotted to hang looseley sharp fangs are spread out upon this necklace.
2. A woven and knotted color that is form fitting to nearly choke him on his neck. This covers a laceration mark.
3. A silver Chain that has a Cross made of Swords hanging at its end.

Makeup: Jack wears almost Egyptian coated black eye liner and shadow. Falling from the bottom of his eye lid into a thin line that extends over his right cheek is a black crescent moon like birthmark so to speak.

Trinkets: A deck of Cards that he remembers having for as long as he can remember. He does not know where they came from. A set of tarot cards, and a Black crystal that for some reason he can't find the motivation to sell.

Powers and abilities:

Ability: Jack is a practitioner in the School of Illusion thus far. Somehow these abilities are innate for him.

Aura magic~ Jack has almost no idea how to use this yet. or maybe he's forgotten?

Futilities: Randomly at some point in Jack's life his body will enter a coma. he is completely helpless in this state.

Arcane trickster~ Jack has always been innately good with illusion magic and has somewhat gotten it down to the art of breathing. he can do a great many things with sending odd sounds, changing his voice, creating visual clones of himself. Blurring and appearing to be moving places he is not, distorting reality and visualization and other such arts.

Master of Blades~ yet another odd skill that Jack naturally picked up on, he prefers light weapons that accent his speed, his favorite being, the scimitar, and rapier, and elven swords he is lethal with the way he weaves in battle and slowly/yet speedily rips his opponent apart. Despite his favorite being the weapons listed, if he truly is tested his fall back trump card, is a dagger or two.

Trap master~ Constantly being one to set a stage Jack is incredible and laying traps, with wire,a nd illusion magical runes. His traps are gruesome and he often spares no human compassion when crafting them, almost always designed to kill.

Agile reflexes~ Jack is an acrobat at heart and will move as such. he can flip and weave around things with the grace of a High elf, despite his heritage.

Naturally Charismatic~ Not so much an ability but Jack has a way with words. Despite that he also has not filter and often insults or says whatever is on his mind in whatever version of poetry he decides to use during that time.

Samuel is a very stoic individual. Although describing his personality is a two way street. Tampering with dark magics, and past traumas have fractured his mind like a broken mirror. Madness is a curious thing, and affects others differently. In Samuel’s case he gained a split personality. His normal self is quite reclusive. Most days he confines himself in solitude, often not speaking for days and going without food or sleep. His past sins not only caused his madness, but also affected his life greatly. As a way to forget his past sufferings he will physically harm himself, most always with a chain of thorns he continuously tightens around his arm or leg. Despite his self-destructive nature, he desperately searches for atonement. Sam does this through work found at the guild. Many times Sam will accept the most difficult jobs, and accepting reduced pay. He does this because he believes his suffering is a way to atone. In a sense; he believes he should be made to struggle through life, scrapping at the stone with broken nails with each step he takes, this is the least he can do to make up for playing God.
Now comes his split personality. Like a nail scratching at the back of his mind, a voice whispers to him; reminding him of his past and the taboo he committed. He never knows when his madness will take over and his sociopathic personality comes to light. When this happens Sam becomes someone else entirely. A man without morals or reason, a true killer. A man named Noland. This man has committed nearly every crime one can imagine, murder being the favorite. A sadist who enjoys tormenting the weak and helpless, truly a man so vile none deserve to die more than he.

Powers and abilities:

Ability: Master of Evocation and Abjuration Schools.
Elemental Manipulation: Able to form and control physical properties of the Elements. Because Samuel can create and utilize the various elements using the stray mana around him, these elements are weaker then if they came from nature itself.

Elemental Combination: The effects of this are fairly fundamental, as such Samuel can combine two Elements to be used in conjunction with one another, and only two at a time. One such example would be to douse someone with water, then jolt them with a little lightning.

Hardened Scales: A abjuration spell that turns Sam's skin into hard scales. While this spell is active his skin becomes as hard as steel.

Etheral Armour: A spell akin to to the previously mentioned one, although with key differences. This spell does not deflect physical blows, instead it absorbed and effectively counters most magic that is cast at him.

Reject: This is a basic Abjuration spell, yet if used wisely is a invaluable tool in combat. Extending his hand he can repulse incoming attacks both physical and magical.

Armour of Resolute: This spell is a last ditch effort and causes a great deal of pain to the caster. The effect is very short lived and in most cases causes death once it has resolved. The spell allows Samuel to tap into the mana around him at an incredible rate, thus greatly increasing his physical and magical abilities.

Element: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Lightning, Ice.

Noland/Alter Ego
While possessed by madness Samuel undergoes a complete change in his character, fighting style, and abilities.

Touch of Madness: Physical contact with Noland will cause his madness to leach onto the victim causing hallucinations, fits of uncontrollable spasms, and the darkest fears of the victim to come to light. Touch of Madness can spread from one victim to the next through physical contact. If left unchecked the victim will become so frantic and terrified that they succumb to either a heart-attack or stroke. (People with enough willpower can simply will the madness away as if it never touched them.)

Lingering Shadows: Tendrils of dark energy lash out from behind Noland acting as extra appendages and weapons. The shape and number of appendages differ with how much energy is used. They can even take on the form a wings, giving Noland the ability of flight.

Soul Siphon: A dark restorative spell Noland uses to recover his life force, and the source of his mana. Using this ability takes time and is better suited to be used outside of combat. If used before combat Noland can use this previously stored life energy as a source of mana to use his spells without effecting his own body.

Service of the Damned: Noland can raise a freshly made corpse back to life. These raised corpses lose all sense of morality and are plagued by rage and madness. Unable to think for themselves they take orders from Noland acting as an extra soldier to fling at his enemies, or used as a distraction to flee. These poor sods are walking terrors, possessing all the strengths and weakness of their previous lives, save for any magical talents or abilities.

Hexes: Noland is knowledgeable of several hexes and curses, some to cripple his foes, and some to enhance an area of his abilities while taking away from another.

History:

History: Samuel's real name is Noland Stroud from a noble family far East of Kalt. There he had everything, mainly due to his families position and wealth. That was not enough for him, he wanted so much more than wealth and authority. He left his family in search for happiness of his own making. Few in his family developed talents for magic like Sam, and so leaving the courts behind Sam joined a college of magi in order to develop his magic. There he showed true promise and talent, earning the favor of many arch mages. One in particular took special interest in him and so began to train him. This elderly and experienced arch mage was well versed in many magics, and Sam studied them all under his tutelage. As the years progressed and Sam became more knowledgeable of the arcane; enough to earn him a coveted position within the college.

Life was well for him, his position at the college earned him a fine salary, enough even to purchase a homestead out in the country. At first this home was simply a retreat from the tedious study of the college, but quickly changed when he married. Her name was Selene, a fair haired beauty from the city in which was built around the college. He loved her deeply and lived with her in his country home. Life was grand then, every day he woke feeling blessed to live his life. Every moment was a gift to him, even when Selene grew angry with him for leaving weeks at a time to return to his work at the college. Then life reminded him that it takes far more than it gives. When he returned from the college to his country home, he did not find a loving wife, but a grave stone with "Selene Stroud" etched into the stone. The local villagers explained how she took fever and passed away, worse still was that she was with child. Then and there he vowed to bring her back, by any means. Sam turned to the darker side of magic, he read every book he could find on the dark arts; an act strictly forbidden in his homeland. Weeks turned to months as he toiled away in his country home, refusing to sleep until he uncovered the secret to bringing the dead back to life.

Finally he uncovered the ritual he had searched so long for. He now had the means to retrieve her soul back from the afterlife. The price was steep; a soul for a soul and a new body for his beloved. Finding a suitable host for his wife's soul was easy enough; he simply acquired a women from the local village not far from his home. The ritual was just as simple, if a bit bloody. After all was said and done he got exactly what he asked for, but once a soul crosses over it changes, and not always for the better. Whatever hell he pulled her soul from it left its mark on her. The free spirited and caring Selene he loved so dearly no longer existed. The Selene he had now was a twisted demented creature. She was unable to speak, save for whimpering with sorrow. He was forced to confine her in the seller for his own safety, and for fear she would be discovered. Sam knew he brought back a monster, but when her looked into her eyes he saw her as she once was, and he could not face the truth. In his mind he believed he could revert her primal nature and bring Selene back from the darkness that clung to her. Everything he tried failed, and each day she grew worse, to the point he needed to chain her to the wall and muffle her violent outbursts. Sam took to drink as the only way to cope with what he had done, and a way for him to sleep through the muffled screams coming from his seller. Then it happened, Selene had chewed through her wrists and broke free from her chains. Sam, locked away in his room too drunk to move was oblivious to what had just happened. He awoke to a storm of cries and vulgar insults coming from outside his home. No sooner did he rise did a plume of black smoke came pushing through the gaps in the wood floor of his upstairs study. Then came the fire that was spreading through his home. (cliff hanger) >:D (Just kidding)

Thankfully Sam escaped the fire, but not without incident. The fire had badly scarred his back. Luck would have it however that the townspeople as a whole believed him to be dead, mainly due to the cadavers within his home. It was only later that he discovered that his wife, or more accurately the creature he created, had attacked a villager. The villagers then killed her and burned her disfigured remains before unleashing their judgment upon her creator. Having nowhere else to go Sam fled to the last person he wished to see, but the only one he knew who could help him. By now he was well aware of the madness seeping into his mind, causing him torment to no end. His old master, the Arch Mage Oridor. A man whom he deeply admired and loved like a father. Although when his taboo came to light there was little his mentor could do for him. Saving him from persecution Oridor sent him away, to the city of Kalt. There he would find a man named Wolfsin, and maybe a chance to atone for his sins. Sam knew not of Wolfsin or his relations to Oridor, nor did he care to ask. He trusted his mentor and swore to write the wrong in his life, maybe then he could be free from his madness.

Personality description:
Nadia's personality is hard to determine as it seems to range from childish to sadistic and so on. Depending on both internal factors and external factors, Nadia can be childish and happy without a care in the world as she enjoys whatever task she has or she can be sadistic and unforgiving with all intentions to make someone suffer to the best of her abilities. To be honest, few people are able to be sure of what she is naturally like because a majority of the time she is switching between moods easily. The most common sight to see is the childish side of Nadia. Prone to pouting, sulking and even going to lengths to annoy people, even if she denies this, Nadia seems like an extreme optimist with all the bright smiles and friendly demeanor. Easily swayed into states of more positive moods, such as joy, excitement or happiness, Nadia is rarely found to reveal her more serious nature or even her anger. She is actually quite kind as she will take care of anyone she has come to 'accept' into her life. Nadia enjoys even the little things if she knows it will help someone in response, even if its in the long run. There are few things that she does become serious about and it is the coldness and stoic expressions she adorns during these times that will tend to frighten people due to the speed at which it will take over her previous moods. Factors that can induce her to cease acting rash, childish and such often include situations where she has to be or it would have negative consequences. Her anger seems to cause her personality to take a one eighty turn. Sadistic, cruel, merciless and creative, an angry Nadia wants nothing more that to end the cause of her anger. Prone to swearing mindlessly and spewing threats of her actions, she has no problem with backing up her promises. Nadia takes joy, in this state, in using every method she knows to crush the person. In fact, she seems to become strange intoxicated by the actions she takes when in divulging in her more sadistic side. Obsessive even. Some could consider the unstable status of her personality and mind to be a result of her allegiance to the dark arts as she has, for years, studied under it. Some cases, Nadia is even noted to have broken down and become 'hazed'. To a point where she is unable to determine what she is thinking and what she is doing due to 'voices'. Sometimes, it is even as if she raging war with herself or talking to another. Despite all this, Nadia is undoubtedly quite a fool as her intelligence seems to be far from what one would expect. She can ask some of the stupidest questions at any time or even find her way into getting lost, interacting with her enemies or even believing something that is clearly false.

Nadia honestly finds harming an innocent a vile act and will often refuse to harm one in any way be it physical, emotional or mentally. However, she prioritizes those around her and so if harm was to come to them she will not waste time to change her opinion around. There is also the factor of her anger causing her to loose sight of this if she ever becomes that enraged though she will be guilt ridden if those involved are innocent. If you can justify it there is no problem.

Etiquette:
"Everyone has to be polite...and well mannered! Manners are important...Hm, but I guess this doesn't apply if the person is a little to rude for my liking though..."
Nadia is actually well mannered despite the state of her ever changing mind set. When she meets a person, respects a person or even to her comrades, she is polite to a degree. In truth, it depends on the relationship with a person. The closer they are, the less she shows such formality to them. Though, even if she is generally polite, she has no issues with suddenly hugging people out of the blue.

"Just smile! Everything will be okay~ "
Nadia normally has quite the childish, happy and bright attitude to everyone. Though occasionally she switches at random points. However, her attitude is normally quite a happy and positive one to anybody. Even her enemies at first until it ends up with her wanting to completely obliterate them.

"Life is such a beautiful gift~ That is why we have to enjoy it or there is not point continuing."
Nadia believes that life is a gift and so each day should be treasured. She wants to spend each day doing something that she enjoys just so that she has no regrets. This is why she enjoys the outdoors and embracing the stuff she is good at so she has no regrets about how she spends her days.

Nadia believes that people have to decide their future according to their actions. One must suffer the consequences or the rewards of each decision and take whatever course will not plague them with regret, even if it wrong. Due to this she hates the idea of 'leaving something to fate'.

"Things may seem bad...But there is nothing in this world that is perfect, you know? Just make sure to never regret anything because you made that choice. Stick by it."
It is her philosophy to stick by her choices even if the results are her own suffering. Things may end bad and leave her in pain but it is temporary. One must always continue to live a life worth living.

Her twin brother, older. She loves him dearly and they are quite attached to one another. Nadia respects him for his intelligence and ability to lead and create that she primarily lacks. Where she is better as a soldier, Aidan's intelligence trumps her own and so the two compliment her. The two had worked in sync on missions before they joined the Crypt keepers where some jobs they had to do Solo. They are seemingly the opposites of one another.

Amarisa Lestri - Her mother and currently missing. After their fathers death, Amarisa had gone missing and so Nadia does not know what to feel for the woman. A majority of the time when she comes up she feels remorse and regret for not trying to find her but the 'voices' tend to lead her into believe that she should hate the woman and so, hunt her down so she could pay.

Jamik Lestri - Her father, deceased. She has little feeling for him due to his favoritism of Aidan. Not that she blames him. However, she does feel minor motions of missing him. He was a noble in a town not to far from Kalt but with his demise and them fleeing there has been no recent actions from the Lestri family. Also a dark magic user.

HISTORY
Nadia and Aidan Lestri were born in a town just outside of Kalt to Amarisa and Jamik Lestri on the evening of October thirty first. Aidan was the first born to the Lestri and then came Nadia not long after, leaving the couple with a set of red haired twins. Their families background would give the twins both a stable financial future and so there was little worry for the two of them, surrounded by a few trusted servants and guards nearly all the time. It was believed that they would follow within the determined future for them...both taking on their name and so on.

With a future believed to be set in stone, the twins were taught in respective fields since a young age, mostly related to their gender roles just with a little extra. In the case of Nadia, she was taught a majority of the time by her mothers about more feminine skills. However, despite her mothers attempts at teaching Nadia they often would fail as she herself found little amusement in most lessons and so...seemed to blank them out. In fact, only cooking was the only skill that she would later notice she picked up from her mother.

The twins, as they grew, were noted to be opposites of one another despite their familiar looks. While Nadia was positive, optimistic, cheerful and full of energy her brother was the opposite. Aidan was a reclusive character that even from a young age he lost himself within books and texts. He would find little enjoyment in playing with other children or anyone for that matter. He alone would only find solace in his interactions with his father or sister.

When the twins were old enough to be let out to play, Nadia took every chance to escape the confines of their home to meet new people. Of course, this meant she dragged a reluctant Aidan with her. Nadia for a few months was often watched by guards with her brother but it eventually began to decline. Though this was a terrible decision as time passed. Their red hair was a source of concern for some of the town's people which accompanied by the rumor that their father practiced the dark arts, began a long line of distrust towards the two twins. While Aidan noticed this, Nadia did not for many years.

As they grew, the twins became inseparable.

They were silently shunned and they did not once inform their parents. It only took them a few months to become uncaring to the matter itself and slowly began to rely more and more upon one another. Nadia was not deterred from her usual optimism though. Both Nadia and Aidan began to rely on each other more than ever. This was also when they began to become suspicious of their own father and his occasional absence. It mostly started by an observation by Aidan and later by Nadia having gained a chance to enter the man's office.

Eventually, after a few months of observation and planning, the twins accidentally stumbled on a secret hidden by their father that only confirmed the towns rumors. They caught him in the act. The twins more specifically, caught their father Jamik practicing a minor spell. Jamik was then forced to reveal how he studied dark arts and more specifically, necromancy at the current time. While Aidan became enticed and drawn in by its call, Nadia herself was more reluctant having found the description from her father disturbing. Though the benefits of beginning to learn her father's studied art soon tempted and she was hooked.

Nadia took up an interest in demonancy specifically and so chose this to be the field she would learn rather than necromancy or any other. Aidan went and straight to domination magic to fuel his need for control and power. Her brother would find himself highly skilled in magic, Nadia was less so and often found herself straying from studies. So, instead of studying the field she chose all the time she had begun to learn how to fight as well so the two paths she had picked would benefit her later.

Over the years both of them got quite skilled within their practices but both had begun to fall into the consequences of dark magic. Nadia began to be plagued by voices that even for a while she believed was just her own thoughts. By the time she had turned nineteen, Nadia and Aidan had lost their father when his own demons plagued him. They both decided to leave their town with that loss and so everything was left behind to their mother. They had little reason behind this joint decision except to gain more experience.

A year or so later they came to Kalt and ended up joining the Crypt keepers due to the practice of dark magic being common there and so a sense of familiarity. Nadia is quite happy being in the Crypt Keeper guild.

Personality description:
Honesty and order are two things that matter greatly to Llerina. She has a good idea of what is right, wrong, and socially accepted, though this doesn’t mean she limits herself to these things, instead she lives by her own personal code that she believes is for the better and most effective in keeping order, even if they breaks certain laws set by society. To get information from someone to prevent the destruction of something important she will not hesitate to torture the information out of them brutally, in order to save the lives of many she will gladly kill a few without giving it a second thought. She doesn’t let common morals get in the way of doing what needs to be done, and she couldn’t care less if people hate her for it.

Llerina is generally calm yet contemptuous, and can usually be seen with a mischievous smile on her face. She has very high confidence in herself and can often seem egotistical, which is more or less the truth. Her cynical and distrustful traits are usually masked by upbeat and impish characteristics. She’s typically charming and entertaining, making her a fun person to be around, though her mean-spirited dark humor may deter some. Ller can be seductive, and brazenly so, though when it comes to commitment she brushes it off as boring and restraining. When she wants something she gets it, whether it’s a person or object, and other peoples’ feelings do not matter. She does, however, have a somewhat foreboding presence and looks down upon everyone, including those who stand taller than her.

Two things others can expect from Ller are hard-work and productivity. Her job is very important to her therefore she is responsible and vigilant in order to do it right. Putting much thought into her actions everything she does has a reason. She works with intelligence, pragmatism, and rationality, though can be quite manipulative to get things done or to get what she wants. She is extremely perceptive and rarely loses focus.

Due to her Drow past she can seem paranoid, sometimes even evasive and cryptic. She is always prepared for an attack, and her pride doesn’t get in the way of coming up with an escape plan if things don’t look in her favor; she understands that she wouldn’t have a pride to worry about if she was dead. Her caution also closes her off from people when it comes to personal issues; she’s very distrustful of others. In addition, she is narrow-minded and isn’t easy to sway when she has something set in her mind. This stubbornness makes her seem inflexible and can make her a difficult person to deal with.

Strengths:
Dedicated - When she sets her mind to something she will see it through to the end. Leaving things unfinished is a pet peeve of hers; just because something gets difficult or boring doesn’t mean its okay to just quit, if it’s the right thing to do then she’s going to complete it.

Strong-willed – Without her strong-will she probably wouldn’t have as much dedication and obstinacy as she does. She will defend her ideals and principles to the end, and must be proven clearly and conclusively wrong for her opinion of the matter to chance.


Direct and Honest – She goes by proven facts, idea or opinions do not matter to her and she’ll blatantly ignore them. She is very straightforward and hates the wasted time and effort in sugarcoating or adding filler to statements. She is painfully honest sparing no mind to how the truth will affect others’ feelings, and she expects the same from others.

Loyal, patient, and reliable – due to her desire to keep order and her love for her job she is loyal and reliable. She understands that sometimes you need to give some things time for them to be ready, or you need to wait until there’s an opening to strike (not always just in combat.) Her determination and strong will make it to where when she says she’ll do something she will fulfill that promise to the best of her capabilities as quickly as possible, making her very responsible.


Enjoys Creating Order – She lives with the sole purpose of creating order, and passing judgment on those who disrupt it. Her code allows her to do this efficiently, and her determination helps her not to falter from her beliefs.

Excellent Organizer - Her dedication to truth and order makes her a great leader, despite her desire to work alone. She is able to put peoples’ skills to use by fairly giving out appropriate tasks based on them, making the task at large as efficient as possible.


Weaknesses:
Inflexible and stubborn – She is not one to change her principles or decisions, not unless it’s proven fact and will benefit herself, as well as her code, and unless that proof is shoved in her face she isn’t willing to find it on the chance that it might be better.

Uncomfortable with unconventional situations - She cannot stand the unpredictability chaos makes the world, as unpredictability is far from trustworthy, which in turn makes her nervous. Llerina was raised in an underground village named Kryvohr. Her family specialized in falconry, using the birds to gather information, communicate, and even to aid them in combat. They were very secretive and only the higher-ups of the city knew of their sources and used them to get information. They lived in the back of the village, somewhat isolated from the others.

Ller had a single friend at the age of 6, who she met when out shopping with her mother. Her name was Malaer Torana, a Drow who’s family grew a lot of the town’s produce. Whenever they had the free time they would run about the town playing around. It was rare to see them apart, that is until she turned 7 when suddenly she stopped showing up at their usual meeting place. When Malaer finally visited her friend’s house she was only answered by her parents saying Llerina couldn’t play, and wouldn’t for a very long time.

Llerina had shown signs of power, causing her parents, Vhurvan and Ardultana, to keep her from the others to train hard. Not only did they train her in harnessing the shadows, but also in their family profession of falconry, before which she had only cleaned after the family’s birds. 6 years Ller trained without leaving per parents’ closed off property, 6 years of seemingly nonstop hard work, it was tiring, and lonely.

At 13 she snuck out in the night, already mastering her abilities, and found her old friend’s house. She peaked through the window with a huge smile that soon disappeared at what she was witnessing. A man whom she has never seen before was beating Malaer brutally, and began to rip at her clothes. Ller crashed through the window and jumped on the man, and after much struggle she killed him, leaving the room a complete disaster.
She had soon found out that the man she just murdered was a noble from another city, and was Malaer’s fiancé, an arranged marriage by her parents. Scared of the consequences due to the nobles death they ran away, leaving Kryvohr with no intentions of returning.

The 2, or 3 if one would count Ller’s falcon named Banshee, lived on the road, staying in towns for only a few days before heading off for another. They always had fun, learned new things, and enjoyed eachother’s company, but then 3 years later, after they were in a city for about 2 weeks, Malaer got very sick. Ller had gotten a few healers to look at her and try to fix her, but she seemed to only get worse until one day, after Ller returned to their room in the inn from getting supplies, Mal had disappeared. Llerina searched the city up and down for days, putting up posters, and even going door to door. Soon she found her, but she didn’t like what she saw. Mal was in the middle of the city as if on display as she hung lifelessly from the pole she was tied to. Swords and daggers had been shoved into her naked body, she was covered in food people had thrown at her, vultures were picking at her skin, and a large crowd had come to mock her dead body. They killed her, all because she was a Drow. Mal was easy prey, which could easily be spotted, as she was too weak to fight or even practice magic.

Falcons of darkness began to swarm around the crowd not only preventing them from seeing outside the swarm, but also keeping them contained in that little area. Blinded by rage she formed a large bow in front of her out of darkness and shot fitting dark arrows towards the crowd, 7 each set, killing them all as she screamed and cried.
After the shadow birds dispersed Ller collected her best friend’s body and buried her in the middle of Mal’s favorite spot, then left to continue her travels in the world.

The cruelty of the town made her think, about the world, about life, it was all to chaotic, disorganized, cruel. Malaer had a big impact on her thought the many years since they first met, Ller loved her very much and would do anything for her, but now, due to the chaotic world, she was gone. This was when she decided she would bring order to the world, and bring down judgment to those who disrupted it.

At 17 she ran into a hermit in the woods. He was a crazy old man but his words piqued Ller’s interest. He spoke of a goddess, one of cleansing and order named Lariaht, when she found him he was muttering something about her over and over. A trap was enclosed around his leg as he sat leaning against a tree in a puddle of blood. She immediately helped him; removing the trap and helping him towards where he pointed at the mention of his home. She took him to his cabin, bandaged his wounds, and laid him down to recover. The hermit stayed asleep for several days, but she stayed and took care of the complete stranger, using his supplies and some labeled jars of herbs. When he finally woke he was surprised by the drow and her actions and considered her a gift from Lariaht. For few months she stayed with him as he taught her the ways of his goddess, she was really religious but he was kind enough to provide her with food, shelter, and knowledge so she took it.

After a while she left the hermit, with a new code of order to live by, to go to a large city. Of which she spent the next 5 years living as a vigilante of sorts, preventing major crimes that would affect the city, dodging guards, etc. She kept a low profile, going out with her hood covering her face and her cloak covering her body, and refusing to give out a name. Eventually she was just called the shadow, due to her abilities and because she kept to the shadows.

It was there where she heard about the Darkmoon guild in Kalt, she believed that she could do so much better in her goals there rather than in just a single city, and so the shadow disappeared from the city and took off towards Kalt. A few months had passed and now she was an apprentice to The Darkmoon Mercenaries.

Personality description:
Aidan is an opposite to his twin in most senses. He is introverted, tending to prefer to be alone or with a few people at best, to many is intolerable for him. The mature sibling of the two, Aidan is more knowledgeable in many areas due to a deep love of study that roots from his desire for power. For years he, out of sheer ambition, has dedicated his time to studying the dark craft and does not regret a second as the power from it will fuel his growth. Unlike Nadia, he seems to show little emotion for others even if they stand under the banner of their guild. To him there is no need for justice or to there to be fairness as to him, the world is harsh and only few will truly survive the perils of it. Aidan respects power, which is why he is finds himself comfortable in the crypt guild. He bears a slightly sadistic side in battle as he aims to crush opponents mentally and emotionally if possible, letting his twin do so physically. A reason to why he studied and mastered domination magic. In terms of the consequences of dark magic, Aidan suffers nightmares and terrors in occasional moments of rest that often deny him proper rest and torment him mentally. Often enough he can be grouchy because of this but it overall reflects on his personality in battle as he becomes less human and ore cruel in seconds. Aidan will simply ignore those he believes as weak or in the worst case scenario, belittle them an their abilities. He doesn't admit it verbally but he is protective of Nadia.

Aidan's set of morals will twist and turn depending on situations. He rarely defines anyone as 'right' or as 'wrong' as he rarely seems to even care. If they oppose him and his task, Aidan sees no issue in their removal, while if they have done nothing, he will not judge them as bad or good unless they become someone close and known to him. He knows well that a lot of what he does, his craft included, maybe considered as being the side of 'evil' but he cares more for his ambitions. Aidan does not support harming those in certain situations though, such as pregnant women or children.

Etiquette:
Aidan can be incredibly polite to a point it amazes people but it mostly a facade to get what he wants. Though it often can be honest if the person is deemed stronger than him and so has his respect. To people he has none for however, such as those deemed weak, Aidan simply ignores their existence in most cases.

Aria is gifted with the ability to perceive the future in some sense. It is the most under developed of her abilities so far, possibly due to her focus on Aerokinesis. However, due to its growth along with her, Aria is only able to witness the future when asleep. In some sense, she can control it. When it is needed, the use of it will literally cause Aria to fall asleep on the spot which leaves a time limit before she is able to reveal what she has witnessed.

History

Just over one hundred and thirty years ago, The goddess of Sky, dreams and Air met with a human who was barely twenty years of age. Nerexia was pursued by Daike, the human mortal, where eventually she reciprocated his feelings for a moment. Soon after their time with one another, Nerexia vanished without a trace, unlike before when she played games with Daike. Nerexia knew she had become one with child and so she knew she would have to give up her child, a demi-god, to its human parent. So soon after the birth, a small babe was wrapped up in sheets of blue and white and left to Daike who was, to say the least, shocked by the outcome.

Daike had contemplated giving the child to a family who had yet to conceive and wanted a child. He was far from someone who wanted a child without a complete family. However, the two were quick to become attached to one another. He named her Aria after a month and so she was dubbed. When Daike had found Aria along with the message from her mother, there was also a large egg that would remain unhatched for a while, though soon would become another member of the strange family.

In her first few years, Aria would often be quite the eccentric child and troublesome to boot. Soon into her life, minor affinities for air become apparent and quickly made use off. There was not much she could not but manipulate weak air currents or winds but it was when she found away to fly, if one could call just barely floating from the ground at this point flying, as she began to drift off further and further from her home. There was also the fact that Daike was keeping her maternal parent secret, as the villagers around them just knew that her 'mother' had died in giving birth to her.

She grew quickly, seeming to change, in small changes, day by day. By the time she had turned ten, the egg, which was left by Nerexia, hatched and revealed a griffin of all things. It was small, frail, lined with feathers in hues of brown and the largest aqua eyes that a young Aria had ever seen. She was mystified for weeks over the griffin but soon the two become connected through unspoken bonds. Though at first, Aria was attacked mercilessly by the hatchling. This was to due to the fact she often was unsure of how to care for him.

The two grew up with one another, the griffin soon becoming known as Xerxes, to which for years they were a handful for their father, Daike. This continued until Aria herself had turned fifteen when Daike told her about her mother, which to her, explained quite a lot. With joy at the new found knowledge, Aria was quite happy with the new revelation and so found herself easily revealing the fact. Of course, not many people believed her. In fact, no one believed her within her town.

When she reached her late teens, Aria's growth majorly decreased. To a point it was seemingly insane how young she appeared despite the passing years. Due to the oddity of it, even though she accounted it to being related to her mother, Aria decided to travel around both to practice her power and to see the world around her. With promises to return to her father soon, Aria left with Xerxes and a few personal belongings. For many years, Aria traveled and she heard not a word from her father despite his attempts to contact her. By the time she did return to her home town, Aria saw her father in her later years when he had retired from his trade and had married an old friend. At first she was reluctant to accept it by soon decided that her father was happy and so ended up enjoying the next few years with her 'mother' and father.

Upon the death of her step mother, as her father died first, Aria returned to her travels for many years. She rarely needed to land except to camp or rest. Going from town to town, Aria picked up many new items and objects in memory of these places and times. She soon became the 'sky dancer' as she was eventually seen by a village when she was using her air manipulation to literally, dance in the air. Not that she minded the name. She embraced it. Recently, her precognition ability had begun to develop and grow but it still often drags her into the embrace of sleep to see her visions. So, its a secret she keeps. Though, for friends she has used it. In hearing about Kalt, she has decided to visit the area.

Heritage:The Graves family split off from the greater Crypt family many generations ago. It is rumoured that the cause of the disgust was a smiliar situation to that of Thomas Crypt, wherein a parent's generation dabbled in the dark arts and caused the curse to spike up in the next generation. In any case, the Graves ancestor took this new name to both distance themselves, but not forget their past, or the misfortune lurking in their bones.
In this day, the Graves are mainly runners, merely bringing products from distant lands to where they would be most profitable, and consolidating the money. They have taken over many of the trade routes abandoned by the Crypt family after their destruction, so they may grow more powerful in the years to come.
Religion: Nothing and everything. Like any sailor, he prays to the Gods and Goddesses that would grant him fair weather and lucky trade, but does not bother with any real sort of worship

Abilities: The Crypt family curse still affects the Graves, but it has lessened over generations of goodwill to residing only in their bones. This is not particularly useful as the only exposed bone on a functioning human are their teeth. However, Adrian has fashioned the bones of his long-dead twin into jewelry (bracelets, anklets, rings, belt buckles, additional adornments when he prepares for battle), and can control them. He cannot access the full range of horrors that Thomas can with his curse, but it does not render him nearly as mad. The bones produce mostly insect-like limbs and carapaces. He can sprout several larger limbs for travel, coat himself in armour, or make smaller, but much sharper predatory limbs for devastating effect. Unlike Thomas, his own curse will not heal him unless the injury strikes bone, and his twin's bones will only preserve themselves. When armoured, the carapace will also absorb magic where shielded.

Character Background:
The Graves family are distantly related to the Crypts, and have retained a passive version of the Curse. When visiting the family mausoleum one day, Adrian felt a connection to his twin's tomb. Repeated visits caused the skeleton to break out of the marble, having formed into a monstrous insect-like mess in order to get back to what they thought was their body. Adrian was able to control it though, and eventually calmed it down and made it retreat it into Tobias's bones. Years passed and he managed to fashion the original bones into jewelry that he wears and can summon the aforementioned murder limbs from.
After the fall of the Crypt family, and Thomas's rescue, Adrian was put off from the lure of big business. Both cousins began to spend more and more time on the docks, until the day came that they both set sail, Thomas to the umpteen mages and seers that might be able to give him a cure or answers. Adrian, on the other hand, began to sail on the Graves trade routes, and eventually, he became captain of the fleet, and Gwendolyn the official heir. Formerly she was acknowledged as the more obvious choice, but as Adrian grew into the sealife, it was made a public decision, to the chagrin of the more sexist traders.
As he grew up, he started using the fleet to attack other ships he deemed unjust; slaver ships, troop carriers for terrible wars, merchant vessels that peddled harmful wares. And of course, those snobby treasure ships rich people are so fond of. They had slaves though. Or something. Get off me Thomas.
His business in Kalt will take as long as needed, as Adrian credits Thomas for the impetus he needed to stop working in his sister's shadow and go his own path on the waters of Norindhul. He'll help him with whatever needs to be done.
As the Graves family begins the arduous process of taking over the Crypt family's remnants, Adrian is content with simply getting new trade routes to sail on. The empire can go to his sister. He wants all the freedom he can get, and he will only find it on the open seas.

Heritage: In the distant past, a branch of the same cult that was responsible for Mao went off into the dessert to create a blasphemic temple. They piled an altar high with corpses of animals and humans, and then worshipped every dark god they could think of. Their goal was to get one of them to possess or imbue the pile with divine energy to create a god on Earth. Obviously, most of the gods fucked off, but Ziamectus decided to do the thing for giggles. The monstruous sem-god promptly killed all these idiot cultists, and thank goodness. Several years later one of the family ancestors tried to rob the pancient temple. They took some musty gold that started the family's rise to power, but it came with a price. A piece of the entity lives almost parasitically within the bloodline, usually manifesting itself within the bones of the family. Whenever a bone was injured, the monstrous terrors contained within them would be let loose and writhe around before healing their way back into the bone. It was as horrifying as it was disgusting, but it enabled them to live on, and so the bloodline continued. Especially vile or corrupt generations provoked the Curse, and the next one would have a more prominent version of it. It manifests in Thomas's flesh and Camilla's blood. Their cousin is from a distant branch, so his Curse still resides within his bones and that of his deceased twin brother.

Abilities: The Curse, while forcing himself away from humanity and causing major psychological damage the more he uses it, can be harnessed. The horrorterrors his flesh can grow and form into can take the form of limbs, tentacles, scales, organic plate armor, claws, mouths, teeth, insectoid and bone weaponry, anything really. His sister bled out growths that spat acid or noxious gases amongst the aforementioned, but it took a lot of succumbing for whatever's inside her to show itself like that. Thomas reigns himself in heavily to prevent psychosis or mental breaks, as an effort to keep himself sane enough to not target his friends or allies. Usually will only double or triple his mass at most. The Curse is a parasite of sorts, and will keep its host alive, healing any injury done to its domain within the host. Since Thomas's curse is manifested in his flesh aka skin and muscle, he is very well protected. It is unclear how or even if he can die from attack. The growths themselves react to most forms of injury (weapons, magic, fire, etc.) but replenish or replace themselves quickly, and only Thomas himself is affected by psychic manipulation. If he is too far gone into whatever the Voices are, mental magic will not be able to reach him and pull him back

Mao hung out with the Crypt family a while, and Edwin grew up around her doing a bit of dark magic on occasion. He became obsessed with the darker aspects of magic and tried to get her to teach him her ways, which she continually refused. Eventually when Thomas was born he demanded that she do the same ritual done to her onto Thomas. That's when she decided to fuck the hell off, but not before giving Thomas her humunculus. She left on a Crypt trade caravan, which Edwin allowed due to her friendship with the family. But as soon as he left he started experimenting with dark magic, even going as far as capturing and torturing Dark Continent dwellers for info. He eventually wound up with a bit of power, enough to get himself in trouble. Literally. He overestimated his abilities and wound up picking a fight with the rest of the city, for which he was punished severly. A mob was allowed to form and stormed the mansion, and Thomas's parents were killed, his sister likely burnt alive. Thomas managed to flee with the help of the humunculus, which revealed itself and guided him to safety. He also recovered the necessary documents to keep most of his inheritance/family fortune, half of which was immediately used to try and appease those who had been wronged by his father. (It wasn't enough and still has a price on his head in certain countries/groups simply because of his last name.)
After the overthrow of his family, Thomas stayed with a distant cousin for a while, who taught him ships and shipping, skills which had been left for the workers in his past life. From there, Thomas entrusted his wealth into some loyal bankers and his cousin's family and sailed across the world, lurking belowdeck to avoid the headaches that plagued him and spending a great deal of money on psychics to ease the symptoms and practitioners to try and get rid of the Curse. Nothing worked, obviously, until he wound up in Kalt nearly raving mad but with a paper clutched in his hand promising a chest of rubies to the person who turned him sane enough to be able to disenchant the chest himself. The humunculus went to Mao and brought her to the adult that she'd seen as a baby so many years ago. She cured him of his psychotic behaviour in a way that made him feel better than he had in years, and he was reminded of the distant memories of the kind person who'd stayed in his home during his infancy. It was that goodness that made him decide to stay with Comatose, where he merged his remaining trade connections to expand their influence and markets. His wealth remains separate, though he freely supports the Guild however he can out of gratitude for taking him in.

Eldrin had grown up with his mother, not ever really knowing his father. He lived in his house with his mother in a nice little area of Kalt. They had a normal life with Eldrin's mother taking care of him and even Jack, despite the fact that they were little butts that caused so much trouble for everyone around them on a daily basis.

Growing up, Eldrin had one person who was his best friend, Jack. The two were the little trouble-makers of the town, often stealing snacks from their mothers, or stealing some people's pastries. The two were inseparable and they may have annoyed people with all of their antics, but no one could stay mad at them for very long, not with their likable personalities.

As they entered their early teens (for humans, at least) they had started taking a liking to taking more shiny and precious things. During one of their many, many heists, they were attempting to take a shiny little trinket from this old guy's pocket. It was going to be easy, just walk by and take it like they always did. At least, until the old guy turned and caught the two scheming boys. Instead of the lashing from the man and being turned in to their mothers they expected, he simply told them to follow him. Nervous of what would happen if they did, and even more nervous of what would happen if they didn't, they followed the man.

Being led to a seemingly abandoned building, the two nervously entered after the man and stood at the doorway. One thing led to another, and it turned out this guy was a professional thief, well, many MANY years ago, and he saw potential in these young men and wanted to teach them all he knew. Although wary at first, the boys went back almost every day and, true to his word, were taught everything the old man knew about thieving.

During the training, Eldrin's Nymph blood gave him a natural affinity with magic, so their Master gave him scrolls which taught about the use the magical elements. Try as he may, Eldrin could never get the magic to be strong enough to use as a fighting style, so he improvised and learned how to imbue his blades with the magic he could create.

Not long after Eldrin and Jack finished their training, their master had passed on. The two knew it would happen, giving their teacher's old age, but they still felt it. The man had grown on them as a fatherly figure, one that Eldrin needed deep down. There was sadness the two had, but they never let it show. They then went on, doing whatever they wanted to do for the years to come.

One day when Eldrin was alone, he went back to their Master's old house and he was going through his stuff, just for the memorial and sentimental value they could give him. As he searched, he came across nothing that was of any particular interest, just things about his long-since deceased cohorts or something like that. After a continued search down the memory lane, he came across a single word on a worn piece of paper. Jaffar. This had Eldrin questioning who this was. He then took the paper and decided to do some work.

Growing a bit restless staying where he was and coming up with nothing in the form of evidence, Eldin began moving all over his home city of Kalt, asking people if they knew something about anything, preferably who this Jaffar character was... After months of asking around, traveling all over the seemingly endless city, he heard of a name. It was some man named Jaffar. Was this the same as the paper? Eldrin didn't know, and he never got a good look at the guy's face who he heard the name from, so he doesn't know who to look for.

After much, much longer times of trying to find the right person to ask, or running from the wrong person to ask, he had basically given up. Apparently, that guy must have been a loon. As he drank alone in a tavern, he heard some mumbled voices behind a wall. Confused because the voices were literally in the wall, he sneaked over and put his ear against he wall. All that could be heard were mumbled voices, but he did catch one word. Scarlette. After he heard this, the voices seemed to stop talking, as if interrupted in mid-sentence. Eldrin then left the tavern with renewed vigor, he was sure that this Scarlette person and Jaffar were connected... at least he hoped.

Eldrin retreated to the rooftops after that to think. He was sure they were connected somehow... He laid back on the roof and continued thinking, though he kept on drawing blank. Then, a sound. Eldrin looked up to notice someone in the alleyway behind the tavern pull a dark cloak up and dash off. Wondering if this were one of the people speaking in the walls, Eldrin took off on the rooftops after this cloaked being, remaining as silent as possible.

Following this cloaked figure to one of the bridges that crossed over a river, Eldrin was surprised when he noticed this man jump off the side, rather than go across. Rushing over and looking at the edge, it seemed that there was a secret passage to an underground area that seemed to be a sewer system beneath the bridge. Eldrin jumped down and entered the door just before it closed. Following the near pitch black path silently, he stopped when he saw dim torch light and people talking. Eldrin heard something about a damned Rhaina needing to keep Midnight on a chain. After that, the voices began moving farther away but, as anxious as he was to know more, he turned back and left, deciding to head back home, but not forgetting a single name.

Still living in Kalt today, Eldrin still has attempted a few times to find more information, but he has come up with nothing aside from the names. He's gone back to his 'normal' life of doing things occasionally with Jack and not much else.

A few years ago, he joined the Order of Conquest Guild. He is a strong, proud and active member to this day.

Personality description:
La is ridiculously shy to a fault where she is nearly always silent and thus comes off as rude, which isn't too unusual considering her genetics. However, beneath the blanket of reservation is a bubbly, enthusiastic femme that usually comes out when partaking in steady rounds of drinks or battle. It takes a lot to push her to the edge of anger, but once she's there she snaps into a sudden fit of vocal and physical fury that shows just how deep her Drow blood flows. She is rebellious, skeptical, optimistic, eager, and pragmatic.

Likes:
Blunt weapons, training, new moons, and nighttime in general.
Dislikes:
A lot of attention, being beaten in spars, and being judged solely by her race.

If she must wear formal attire, she has a golden colored dress whose hues deepen into a dusky violet the further it goes in length. Its sleeves fall to the floor along with the rest of the fabric, but each are slitted up to the elbow, the shoulders left mostly exposed save for a strap of fabric over each. The cloth gently clings to her torso then flows freely past her hips. [Reference]

Combat Outfits:
Light weight, fitted armor consisting of a corset dress that falls to her knees with split sides for mobility, a gorget, pauldrons, bracers, and greaves. When training she merely wears her bracers and whatever outfit that can spare some damage.

Accessories:
Five red stones embedded in her armor; one in the gorget, two in her dress, and one on each greave.

Bladed Mace:
This is a specially crafted weapon that is about as long as a sword and takes quite a bit of skill to wield considering how hefty it is. The top point can be removed in order to stuff tinder and slow-burning material inside which heats up the conductive metal; ensuring damage against whomever is brave enough to challenge it. It takes a lot of upkeep, but is definitely worth the work in maintaining it. [Reference]
It is usually kept in a sling around her shoulder.

Dual Daggers:
A pair of curved daggers remain on her at all times, one sheath hanging from each hip. The handles are made from obsidian and gold, the bottom of the weapons textured for aesthetic pleasure. [Reference]

-History-
Born in the depths of a cavern system, Luastra spent most of her life with Drows; cruel and dark elves. She was raised without warmth by those of the community who often spat her name in disgust since it was a mocking contrast between her parents-- a Star Elf and a Drow. Her mother was rarely seen, which was of traditional bearing for the children to experience. All in all, it could be considered a normal childhood for Drows; to have hate and superiority instilled in them. It did just the opposite for the female, instead creating a loathing for their ways and for the blackness in peoples hearts.

At the age of one hundred, ten years before adulthood, she made her escape from the labyrinth of darkness and to the surface of Norindul on the back of a stolen riding lizard. Ever since she has been a wanderer, moving from place to place with the reptile named Tath in search of a place to settle though finding none. She had learned the history of the Drows, but never did she expect so much hatred to be directed towards her just for having the blood of her ancestors.

Forced into a life of thievery, La spent her days sleeping and nights sneaking off with food or stealing items for trade. Most of what was taken was given away to those in situations worse than her own without a word in exchange. More often than not, if Luavry went without her cloak she would be lashed out at for being a "demon" or of filthy blood. It made her less willing to interact with others though frequently resulted in fights that taught her how to hold her own with skill or if worse came to light-- dirty tactics.

Recently she found Kalt, which surprisingly had fewer people who spoke up about any dislike for the Drow race. That isn't to say there aren't any who don't. After a week of observing the City of Guilds, she decided it was the place she wanted to stick around in, and so she sought out the one known as "Wolfsin".

Personality type: Silent Predator.
Personality description: People who know Eva can understand the shy, slightly sweet and awkward woman she presents herself to be but are never fooled by her mournful expression her her quiet ways. While she is indeed shy and can be sweet she is in fact an apex predator, she uses her looks and demeanor to allow people to think she is no threat and in doing so they speak much freer than they would around others. This means Eva hears many things and finds out many things that people would rather be kept private. To buy her silence they have to fulfill favours for her and these favours can continue for years or longer depending on the secrets she finds. This gives her a network, a web is you will, of people she can draw on when she needs information and means she is very in the know. Outside of 'work' she is still rather quiet but once she forms a bond with someone she rarely ever breaks it, she can come across as odd and creepy in the things she says or does but she very rarely means any harm by it.

The skirt flares out and falls luxuriously to the floor, covering feet to the toes, it seems to have a life of its own as it dances to and fro as she walks. What can be seen of her foot wear is a slightly heeled, laced boot. She also wears a mourners 'hood', a hat that covers her head, with an ornate golden yellow 'egg sac' design on either side, lengths of silk act like webs from these points and can be left hanging to give a 'framed' look or wrapped around as a scarf.
Combat outfits: Black calf high leather boots with a slight heel, form fitting leather pants and a black 'V' shaped corset with silken ties.
Accessories: Has a silver charm bracelet with no charms.
Makeup: Doesn't wear it, her lips are naturally black.
Equipment: She needs very little but caries on her person a steel dagger, wicked edge on it. She also has a book, quill and ink which is usually more than she needs.

History

Shifters, for the most part, were peaceful people, mostly nomadic since the loss of their home centuries prior to some race or another they had preferred to travel. They found it hard more often than not to stay in the groups or 'tribes' they were born in as large numbers of shifters were frowned upon in most cities. Leading them to many times have to set up camps out side the cities walls and trade inside during the days and to carry on their traditions by night. Fear and lack of understanding lead one drunk zealous man to cause the first rift between human and shifters, after attacking and killing the female half of a mated tiger pair the male shifted -as extreme emotions can have that affect- and killed him.

From city to village to town word was spread that shifters were murderers and they were kicked from and shunned from human company. Most shifters returned to nomadic lifestyles and those who lived in towns and cities were regarded with suspicion and chased away. Over the years it was not humans that hunted to the shifters to near extinction but famine, sickness, infertility due to climate changes and stress and the 'darklings' (goblins and their ilk).

Many years passed and while shifters were regarded still with suspicion and victims of hate crime, tensions had dwindled between the few clans that still survived; bear, wolf, fox, panther, tiger and badger, and humans. While many still lived in fear of being discovered and either attacked or run out of town the shifters from the aforementioned stronger tribes were considered in higher regard.

Eva is the daughter of Deadra and Petrov, the before then considered extinct spider clan, the Widow family branch. They had lived their lives in fear, moving from city too city after the murder of Petrov's mother -burned in her bed- and Deadra's sister -drowned-. They came to rest finally in Kalt, hoping for freedom from persecution and for many years they had it. They ran a simple tailors shop using their skills as Spiders to mend and sew dresses and gowns. Few knew their secret but it seemed some tensions still ran deep, not long after their daughter was born their home was set fire too, Petrov died in the place but burnt and battered Deadra escaped her demise with her daughter protected against her chest.
