[DASH=green]View attachment 9030It was her senior year in high school. So far Kori and her 'uniqueness' had gone unnoticed her four years. Many people believed that magic doesn't exist and magic users were only things of the past. Little did they know, magic was still among them. Granted, it wasn't the mystical, spell weaving, shrouded in mist kinda thing. This magic could just be called upon.
There were cool magic powers such as time control, telepathy, shadowing.. almost anything someone could imagine. Of course there were the basic element controllers. Kori could manipulate the shadows. It was easy to control, but she wished it could have been something cooler like fire or air. Shadow just existed to scare people and scare people it did. At least no one knew the power that existed in her.
She was a popular in high school. Even though her attitude was kind of bad, and she did things to rebel, somehow people still liked her. Kori had a history of coming to school in an.. altered state. That's what made her rather... outgoing? or indifferent. Either or worked or maybe both indifference and being outgoing went hand in hand. Basically, it wasn't uncommon for the teacher, or principle, to call home to her dad.
Her dad... that was a story in its self. He was a single parent, and he didn't care much about her actions. Kori just thought that he couldn't stand being around her since she looked so much like who mom who had died. Why did people do that happen? The child gets treated wrong because of the resemblance to a parent.. but whatever. As long as she got to do what she wanted without any consequences then there wouldn't be a problem.
Today was like any other day. English, chemistry, math, lunch, home. Lunch was definitely her favorite part of the day since she got to be around all her friends and not have to worry about her attitude in class. [/DASH]
