21 hours before park shutdown
_________________________________________________________
Justinian tapped his foot on the floor in agitation, waiting for more information on the latest hurricane to approach Isla Nublar. They were so frequent in this tiny spot in the ocean that it was a miracle for the park to remain afloat, both literally and financially. A small television was propped on a large shelf within his office (yet the forecasts it offered sounded ambiguous). The staff nearby wore their anxiety on their faces, clearly perturbed by the oncoming storm and potential impact on security. Hammond was away on a business trip, leaving the menial tasks of management to an overeager Malthus.

Few wanted to issue an order to evacuate. Hundreds of people paid good money to get to this island, and Justinian was well-aware of what an angry customer entailed. Bad publicity meant bad reviews, and bad reviews meant less profit. A measly little storm wouldn't be enough to cause any major damage, after all. The visitors could simply wait in their hotel suites for the night and get back to exploring at their leisure. Numerous celebrities had made Jurassic Park a vacation Mecca while scientists flocked to marvel at Hammond's creations. Both must be kept sated if the park were to succeed.

Picking up the phone on his desk, Justinian dialed for Dr. Matthews, saying the following in a grave tone. "Good afternoon, Christian. This is Malthus. I'll try not to waste your time but I was wondering if the drastic weather on this island might have an effect on the animals."

Afterwards, he dialed Henderson. "Greetings, Eric. Malthus here. I was hoping you could run a quick check on all of the systems in your vicinity. Make sure their prepped for storm damages."

She'd reviewed her messages already and replied to the ones she wanted to reply to... Most of them were from desperate boys looking to smash. She even replied to some of those too if the guy looked good and looked like he had access to a lot of money. But for the most part she ignored the notifications that popped up on her phone. It wasn't like she could hang out with any of them anyways. She was trapped on an island full of dinosaurs after all. Literally and figuratively. It seemed like the only other people on this island were adults and old people... She'd only seen one other person her age so far, and that was her girlfriend.

"Oh what I wouldn't GIVE for a good old fashioned house party right now... " she thought to herself.

It wasn't that she couldn't find things to do... It was just that she was a party animal and without a party to go to, she couldn't do what she did best. Steal the spotlight and get drunk...

She closed all of the apps on her phone and let it lock on its own. She sighed, a sure sign of malcontent or boredom for her, and closed her eyes for a minute. Her parents had sent her here to get rid of her while they went on a business trip. She didn't mind, but she DID mind that they sent her during monsoon season. She didn't care for big storms... Little storms didn't bother her, but after hurricane Katrina, she'd gotten a little nervous when a big storm came through.

"Why now of all times... Why me... " she mumbled

She'd be trapped indoors for the next day or so, not because anyone told her to stay there, but because of her own dislike of storms. She also realized that in doors would be the best place for her to be in case something bad DID happen. Not only was it very high up, but it was also one of the safest places on the island if some of the animals in the park got loose.

She'd imagined that happening a couple of times now. She mostly smiled, thinking of all the old or fat scientists getting eaten by a dinosaur because they were too big to escape. She didn't think she'd have a problem with it... She didn't know too much about them, but it was obvious that dinosaurs had gone extinct for a reason right? How smart could they be...

She grinned at the thought and mumbled again before falling asleep...

"Stupid animals... "

Levi -- Hotel

Levi was always one to be fearful. Unrest settled in her bones like a zombie. She shivered and shacked in paranoia from her wondering thoughts. Levi was always known to be a worrying type, filled with angst and panic. Her anxiety and paranoia drew her to belief in the preposterous like aliens and the supernatural. Every little thing that was out of the ordinary was in the front of her mind. Was it aliens? How does everyone think about me? Her only clause in his was her girlfriend, Alice.

Alice was to put it plainly Levi's obsession. Levi always thought and looked up to her. She was beautiful and gorgeous, and so bold and good at talking to people. That was something Levi didn't think she had. Under her bed covered she quivered in fear from her wondering mind. Worrying spreading like a paralyses from head to two. As much as Levi loved Alice, she had thoughts that she didn't think the same. Though, most of the time she did not think of these ideas. They were well ingrained in the back of her mind, and recently she had been second guessing how Alice thought about her. Nonetheless Levi needed her for comfort from her anxiety. That was just what she was going to do now.

>OMFG, I can't sleep and I am freaking the fuck out. Can I come over?
...
>Urg I'm just going to come over then

Levi drew herself out of bed. Her body tremble with the absentminded fear. Her pale frame shivered as if cold and every time she closed her eyes she saw the mouth of a Raptor consumer her like the some she saw eating a cow in that exhibit early that day. She got out of her room and walked quickly turning her head in panic. Maybe they got out already? Her thoughts were always like this however unlikely.

POUND POUND POUND

Went Alice's door as she pounded on it, she hope she got her text.

POUND POUND POUND

Alice woke up... Sort of. She rolled over on the huge sofa of the luxury suite and looked for the source of her rude awakening. She didn't see anything but then the door thudded again. Someone was knocking REALLY hard. She blinked twice and looked down at her phone which was still in her hand. The green light that indicated a message was blinking...

"Probably Lev... " she thought...

"Come in!" she called as she sat up

Alice was dressed still. She didn't really go to bed until much later. She was just napping because of boredom at this point. Nothing new for her.

Eric got the call with a system check he locked down the safety locks and the storm shutters going through all the locks he checked on the hybrids via the camera system and everything shows normal 4 what it could be around here.

the hybrids were unnatural and deadly they had 2 be constantly watched 4 breakouts which some close calls had happened

John Hammond had picked eric 4 just this reason he was ruthless when it came down 2 the hybrids he wouldn't let them get loose this side venture brought in a lot of money 4 the park and helped provide the funds 4 maintaining it but it was a high risk area Eric was always armed his custom weapons were special made John had paid 4 them at Eric request and Eric had his bag full of his legion stuff he kept it in a storage locker not far from the arena

Christian Mathews - Park Grounds

Really amazing idea. Why not build a park, that require a substantial amount of power on an island that has such severe storms that it would knock the power out for a few hours? Whose smart and brilliant plan was that? Oh that's right. Justin Malthus. Well he gets to take the credit of moronic choices now. Moronic choices he had to deal with. How do you safely secure all the animals in this park if an emergency was going to occur?

Guess those bigwigs didn't really think of everything did they? They had such a short sighted, simple minded idea. Went with what sounded dramatic. But failed to make any emergency plans for events like this. Tourist were still mucking about on park grounds. Should get somewhere safe and secure, huh? No. Yeah let's pile on the idiot choices, after idiot choices, after the idiotic choices.

"Dr. Mathews, P-16 is behaving erratically," says Thomas and he didn't bother to remember the name of the guy because he wasn't part of his team. Just referred over to him for his expert opinion. The problem was he often got questions that did not require an expert opinion. It be like calling your mom every week, to ask her how to wipe your own ass again and you're twenty-five.

P-16 he fondly called Peggy was a triceratops. She generally was a peaceful girl, actually he sort of found her a bit like a dog. She liked the park rangers enough to let them get close, then again she was still young. He looked at Thomas Sawyer.

"Thomas, I am going to be slow," Christian said, "Is there a big giant storm about to hit the park in the next few hours?"

"Yes," Thomas said clearly not following him.

"Well then there's your answer, that wasn't hard, now was it?"

"Why do you have to be an ass Christian?"

"Because I am the "expert","

Christian sighed and continued to do his usual walk around the park grounds. It was relaxing, if not a bit annoying to be stopped twenty times with questions they clearly shouldn't be asking him. Are the enclosures safe? He doesn't fucking know he didn't build them. Are the animals going to hide or behave erratically? That sounded like a given depending on each animal, didn't it? How the fuck and why the fuck did everything think he could know the hundreds of animals in this park?

He had to do a lot of research for this job. And unlike the non profits he worked for this was not a large park with small numbers easily tracked. This was a large park, with large numbers, and animals went missing only to be found hiding in their enclosures somewhere else because of a temperature difference.

Then there were the hybrids. He was not going to get near some of them because it seemed like such a highly unethical thought process. Let's put two things we barely understand together. And then wonder why it behaves in such a way.

Seriously who thought of these half baked plans. Like a child who pulls apart their action figures, and puts random parts on it and wonders why it doesn't behave in a desired way. Because they were animals.

Walking into his "office", he saw the light on his phone blinking. He had one message.

"Good afternoon, Christian. This is Malthus. I'll try not to waste your time but I was wondering if the drastic weather on this island might have an effect on the animals."

He should have stopped at but. Christian quickly picked up his office phone and dialed Malthus number. Hope that he would not reach him. His line was busy. Malthus was on another call and he was directed to voicemail.

"That's an excellent question that honestly doesn't need my expert advice," Christian begins, "Are you comfortable with an environment you're not familiar with and the weather? Let's say you lived your whole fucking life near volcanoes and moved to tornado valley. Would your behavior change when a tornado was suspected to hit? Does your cat chase its tail in a thunderstorm? Or a dog howl? That was a great fucking moronic question."

He hung up. Jesus fucking christ. Was everyone around here a moron?

"Alice we need to get as much food as we can and lock our selves in the room!" Levi said out loud and with a frightful serious tone. Her voice was louder then normal. She shivered in fear of the storm coming. She was sure Alice knew about it too, as Levi has bugged her about it ever since they got to the park.

"I don't know... I don't know," Levi muttered out loud pacing around her bed until she would have gotten up. Once she was up Levi would have promptly hugged her.

"Alice we need to get as much food as we can and lock our selves in the room!"

Alice rolled her eyes. This was typical Lev right here... Over reacting, as usual.

It wasn't that Alice wasn't afraid of the storm, but she'd learned a long time ago that over reacting to situations like these and being a big "baby" wasn't cool.

"You can't be COOL if you always act like a little scared BABY!"

The memory of her classmates laughing and taunting was frustrating but it had changed her. That year in third grade had been a turning point for Alice and had made her what she is today... For better or for worse...

"Calm DOWN Lev, just calm down! There's nothing to worry about right now... We don't even know if the story is going to hit us... What are... ?"

She didn't get to finish as Lev hugged her tightly.

Alice smiled a little bit, letting her tough girl act falter for a fraction of a second. She wasn't quite an adult, but she acted like it as much as she could, to the point where adults had a hard time deciding whether to tell her what to do, or wait to be TOLD what to do sometimes. Her teachers especially... She was glad she was out of highschool now though.

"I don't know... I don't know,"

"Shh... We don't need to 'gather up food. We have room service for that. Only old people stock up on milk and bread before big storms, and lucky for us, this island has lots of food on it. We don't have to worry."

Shepet Levs hair a little and guided her to sit on the sofa. It was later in the evening, or at least that's what it looked like through the blinds. Alice had closed them before she checked her mail. Maybe that's why she fell asleep... The blinds were closed. That was one of those things she'd learned about in school... You're affected by your atmosphere. Dark rooms can make you sleepy, bright rooms can make you feel awake.

"Useless information... " she thought as she reflected back on her years in highschool.

"All of it... Just a waste."

A steadily increasing pile of paperwork was rising atop Justinian's desk, each related to a lawsuit from a month ago where a group of teenagers were injured by a young Triceratops (after provoking it with an air horn). Robert Gennaro was burdened with InGen's legal troubles, of which there were many, but he was back in San Diego. He was extremely eager to get out of Costa Rica as soon as possible when news of the storm came around. Malthus groaned, realizing that his major staff had been reduced to three men: Henry Wu, Robert Muldoon, and John Arnold. None of them made particularly good legal counsel. Outside of the spacious room, guests were enjoying the view from inside the Visitor Center, marveling at the gigantic skeletons placed in the very center.

Something about the never-ending awe from strangers across the world made this park even more splendid. Humanity was at its best in Jurassic Park. Justinian glanced at the clock on the wall. It read 7:56PM, and the attractions closed at 9:00PM. Complaints were filed often from visitors about the curfew, but it was far too difficult to keep the minimum number of essential employees when the weather got rough. He leaned back in his chair, evidently exhausted, only to stare at the map of the island right in front of him. The Velociraptor pen was too close for comfort.

But there was nothing to worry about, right?

Eric called in to report the lockdown of the arena he checked the backup generator as well

One thing he worried about was a power problem with this park

while the park itself was a wonder of man it was also one of the most dangerous places 2 be while John Hammond had made this place he had a lack of weapons here most of the items here were nonlethal a bad idea in Eric's eyes with the hybrids being here as well Eric had convinced Hammond 2 allow him his legion gear but Hammond had made him store it away in a bunker near the arena the weapons Eric had on him now was but a small bit of luxury because the hybrids being here made 4 the need to be armed

Levi -- Hotel

Levi hugged her tightly. She was just scared. It has always been this way with her. Ever since she started getting paranoid. It was something she couldn't control and never really tried to. Levi never understood how preposterous she sounded or anything like that. Even when she went to counciling it was always her trying to presuade her counciler was true. It never worked.

It was all true in her head and all of her fears were rational, just like her rational plan of locking themselves in. Locking themselves in seems like a good enough plan. They would wait out until the storm passed and wait until people can to rescue them. They would put there phones on ultra power saving mod (something she did often) and use there portable chargers to hopefully get in contact with someone if the phone lines were still up. If not they would wait it out. It all seemed rational in her head. Why would she be wrong?

Levi shook her head in her shoulder almost on the verge of fears. "But the storm is coming and then all of the carnivorous dinosaurs are going to get our and soon enough there will be a hungry raptor outside our door Alice! Then what are we going to do, jump out the window?" Levi ranted on, her head shook in her shoulders in every word she uttered in complete paranoia.

"Shh... We don't need to 'gather up food. We have room service for that. Only old people stock up on milk and bread before big storms, and lucky for us, this island has lots of food on it. We don't have to worry."

"You don't understand, no one does. I'm just trying to not get you killed Alice. It said on the news that storm is hitting. You don't know anything!" Levi yelled out. She got out of their comforting embrace. Unlike before her comforts were not working. Alice might have noticed that Levi is much more restless then normal even if she is always this way. Levi normally succumb to her Alice's comforting efforts, but not now, it would have seemed odd perhaps.

Levi walked over the the window shaking opening the blinds with her tumbling fingers. She stared out and on the horizon of a gathering of stormy gray clouds. She shook her head violent in protest. "See when that storm front comes we are all going to die Alice!" Levi said pointing out the window to the gathering of precipitation.

Alice / Hotel

She felt Lev pull out of her embrace and she let it happen. Alice wasn't going to fight with her while she was in "paranoia" mode... It was impossible to speak rationally with her while she was this way, so she just let her finish.

"See when that storm front comes we are all going to die Alice!"

Alice couldn't help but grin a little at that. It wasn't a mean grin, it was a humored grin. She just found that statement funny above all the others, even the one about the raptor knocking at the door.

"So, is it the storm I should be worried about... Or the dinosaurs?" she asked, a little sarcastically...

Alice imagined a raptor in a butler suit with a monocle on his eye knocking at the door, saying "Room service madame' Alice!"

tumblr_kxczpr7GLh1qzu6nxo1_500.png

She almost giggled but she maintained her grin and monitored her paranoid girlfriend and waited for her anxiety to pass. She had these often and sometimes they lasted a while, but they usually went away if Alice maintained her cool. If Alice freaked out though like she did on that one roller-coaster when it stopped for half an hour nearly upside down...

Her smile vanished... That was a bad BAD memory.

"So, is it the storm I should be worried about... Or the dinosaurs?"

"Fuck off! You never take me seriously. The storm will take out the power and then the dinosaurs will get out. Do you not understand the threat this has?"
Levi said as she put a firm stomp into the carpet floor. Her express was filled with mild anger. Her face that was flushed with restlessness was now red of irritation or embarrassment.

Levi was never normally mad even when she is ranting about her latest irrational fear. She turned away from the window and walked to the other side of the room anxiously trying to calm down. Levi took off her red rimed glasses and cleaned them off with her shirt. It seemed to be getting hot in the room. A moment passed between them.

"I'm sorry," Levi let out putting her hands to her face regrettably.

She ignored Levs outburst. It was unexpected but then again she never had taken sarcasm that well... Especially when it was aimed at her. Alice coughed in her hand and wiped the grin off her face. She even felt a little bad for poking fun at her hairbrained girlfriend, but in the end, she WAS a little crazy and probably deserved it. It was better that it came from Alice rather than someone else...

"I'm sorry,"

Alice smiled again when the apology came. She was sure that the outbursts were over.

"Well... How about we raid the buffet and bring whatever we have leftover back upstairs and have a sleepover?" she finished with a suggestive lilt in her voice as if there would be no end of trouble if their parents found out, which there probably would be.

Alice grabbed Levs arm and tugged her towards the door as if to suggest she didn't have much choice in the matter and her suggestion was more of a decision that had already been made...

She kissed Levs cheek lightly as she walked and gave her a wink...

Levi -- Hotel, Hallway going to the buffet

Levi lifted her head from her regretting position. She knew her mom wouldn't want her to sleep in the same room with her. She had always been worried about such stupid things. From dusk till dawn her mom would consistently text her about where she is or how she is doing. She was by herself on the island, her family wasn't around. Levi wouldn't blame her and most of the time she didn't bother to try and fight her protective nature. She loved her anyway.

Alice was just someone Levi couldn't get mad at for long. She loved her to much to do that as much as she hated being rejected and played with for her worries. Anger was something that came rarely to her, but that was anger and she regretted every bit of it. She wanted to run out of the room, if it weren't for her ever present fears that were still subsiding. They were much less, but they kept her from running willy nilly down out of her room.

"Well... How about we raid the buffet and bring whatever we have leftover back upstairs and have a sleepover?" she finished with a suggestive lilt in her voice as if there would be no end of trouble if their parents found out, which there probably would be.

Levi was hesitant at first. Turning her head to Alice, her cheeks went to a flushed white to a light red at her words and her anger before. A small smile creeped on her face, one end of her soft red lips rose at her suggestion. After all she was hungry, Levi and Alice didn't really have much to eat when they were out on the park during lunch time. It would came quiet timely that she wanted to have dinner now. Levi was probably going skip it from her fear mongering.

Alice grabbed Levs arm and tugged her towards the door as if to suggest she didn't have much choice in the matter and her suggestion was more of a decision that had already been made...

She kissed Levs cheek lightly as she walked and gave her a wink...

"I guess... but my mo-" Levi muttered out trying to contain herself. She was still rather indecisive about the whole thing, more so for the sleepover. She was interrupted by the tugging on her arm. She rolled her eyes playfully and let her take her away. Her worries were drowned away by her affections for her as they left the room. Her kiss only made her more docile to her efforts to herd her out of her room and her fears.

Off in the central control room, a chamber where every wall was covered in screens and computers, a group of twelve men were engaging in a devious scheme. They were operatives of BioSyn, a rival genetics enterprise and masters of corporate espionage. The plan that they were expected to complete entailed nothing short of the full destruction of Jurassic Park. It was almost comical how greed can drive some folk to build skyscrapers and compel others to tear them down. Nevertheless, the infiltrators were hard at work disabling the security systems, right underneath Justinian's nose. Disguised in employee uniforms, they set up a shutdown timer for every section of the island.

The first thing to deactivate were the phones. In the next three hours, the alarms would be silenced. Afterwards, the power generator would begin to falter in roughly ten hours. It was only a matter of time until everything was cloaked in darkness. With the fences, the timer was designed to randomly shut them down. There was no chance of guessing which dinosaur would be released first, or when. Justinian was standing in front of the Visitor Center's skeleton diorama when he heard an earth-shattering roar. He could tell that the sound came from far away, but what alarmed him was how sudden it was.

And then the air was filled with screams. The Giganotosaurus had been unleashed from its enclosure. Malthus ran over to a payphone near the entrance doors and called for security, only to discover that the line had been cut (so to speak). He pointed at a guard on the other side of the room, demanding that he initiate emergency protocols. By the time Justinian had arrived in the control room, the twelve men had left the scene of the crime, leaving Arnold to sort through the mess.

"Sir, we have a serious problem." Arnold looked deathly ill with fear.

"What the hell is going on?"

"The systems have been hacked into, but it's like shifting through a maze of code. I can't say how long it will take to fix."

"Are the fences still active?"

"Negative. Three have been disabled: Giganotosaurus, Hadrosaurus, and Troodon. The rest are still online."

"Get every tour vehicle back here immediately!" Malthus fumed in rage.

"I'll try. I told the guards to get everyone into the bunker beneath the hotel, but I haven't got any word back."

Little did they know that those poor fools had already been devoured.

Eric was on patrol in the arena when he heard the roar Eric gripped his special crossbow tightly and made for the entrance to the arena the power was still on because the generator had kicked in

he arrived at the entrance trying the phone the line was dead he couldn't leave here for long the danger out there was great but what was out there was a drop in the bucket compared to what hell the hybrids could unleash

these creatures lived a life of combat life and death happened everyday for these creatures and they had skills that the dinos outside couldn't compare with Eric started 4 the hotel checking the safety on his weapons he moved out carefully

The resort was top notch. Everything here was the finest quality. The food was prepared by master chefs from all around the world. The finery was luxurious. The restaurant was designed by german engineers and build by american architects and teams of contracted construction workers like her father employed. The view would have been breathtaking...

"If it weren't so DARK... " she glowered looking over her plate of Alaskan snow crab legs and 9oz prime rim cut and cooked to medium well, just like she liked it.

"What the hell is the point of a view if you don't light it up so you can see it twenty four - seven... "

She had noticed that most of the lights had been out and only the bare minimum had been left on. In fact, the staff seemed to be conserving energy right now? None of the spotlights were on. The hidden twinkle lights were off. The fiber optic lights that were built into the floor were off too...

She had LOVED those when she saw them the first time. They'd poured concrete or something into a form around fiber optic strands that were connected somewhere beneath the tiles to a light source, so that when it was dark... You could see lights inside the stone beneath your feet. Sometimes you'd see patters, but most of the time the light just swirled and twisted and blew around like there was something beneath the tiles... Moving....

"It's so DULL now" she complained as she cracked another crab leg. She expertly picked the meat from the shell and ate it before placing the leftover shell on a separate plate in a neat pile.

The restaurant was closed, but she knew that the kitchen staff was on call 24/7 for VIP guests like herself. It wasn't a problem to order what she had, and she made sure that it was cooked properly and to her specifications as well. She made sure that Lev got whatever she wanted as well. It was the least she could do since Alice had dragged her out for dinner this late. It wouldn't do to drag her out here and then let her pay for her own meal.

"So... What-"

She was cut off by a flicker in the lights. It was minute but her eyes flicked upwards even as they flickered back on and stayed on. It didn't calm her nerves though...

Before she could even look back down at Lev, they flickered and then went off with a finality that made Alice gasp. Her breath caught and her heart fluttered. This felt really bad... It was like something from a movie. She had no idea how close her guess really was.

Levi smiled meekly as they made their way down to the restaurant. Despite her hesitation she was glad to finally eat something with Alice. Either if it was the catering staff or her girlfriend's insistence, Levi brought herself out of her paranoia filled anxiety for now. With her paranoid gone she could finally focus on enjoying this resort with her beautiful love. Alice didn't detract her however from noticeable the lack of wonder in the restaurant and the high-tech lights.

The fantastical new innovations that Levi have came to see in the resort were off. The outside was lit faintly unlike the normally bright and booming lights. It had all lost it's almost Las Vegas like aesthetic. Seeing the lack of people, Levi's lips curled to a slight smile. Nonetheless Levi did feel awkward here since she never got redress into formal clothing. Place was normally formal and during their last trip Levi had worn her scarlet red dress that Alice had bought her. Either way the staff probably didn't care, since Alice was VIP and no one was here to care.

"Yah it is a bit strange isn't it. Yum this salad is pretty good though," she responded also commenting on her food. She ordered a pecan vinaigrette salad with a fillet fish. She bit her thinking of why the lights could be dim, but she shoved it off trying not to think about it.

"So... What-"

She was cut off by a flicker in the lights. It was minute but her eyes flicked upwards even as they flickered back on and stayed on. It didn't calm her nerves though...

As the lights flickered Lev's worried piled on once more and in the final bleak moment of the last light going out, she knew that she was right. The whole time. She was fucking right.

However she froze her mind running wanting to run away like a child, but she was suck in that care in fear. Her face was terrifed and her lungs filled with air before she slammed her hands on the table and stood up in anger and worry. "I fucking told you Alice! I fucking told you. You can't tell me know that what I am saying is bull shit!," she yelled her face red with anger. She probably couldn't see it though. Luckily they had their phones to use as flashlights. They didn't' notice that their phones service were out yet to their dismay

The Visitor Center had become something of a fortress when Malthus ordered the remaining guards (four altogether) to stock up in the armory and secure the resort. That's where most of the guests were anyway. The problem, however, had arisen when the moon was loftily sitting in the sky without a care in the world. Going out into the darkness of night, while vicious predators were on the loose, was nothing short of a death sentence. Especially with the Troodons up and about, as their bite was highly venomous, fully capable of inducing hallucinations and paralysis if left untreated. Only chaos. A handful of nurses were receiving the visitors from the tour vehicles, guiding them to safety while dozens more lie in harm's way.
