Abigail heard an alarm and slowly woke up. She felt around for her iphone and finally hit the off button. She pushed hair out of her face and the covers off of her. She looked at the time. The clock read 6:30. She fell back and groaned. After rubbing her eyes she got up and walked to the bathroom. She took a shower, brushed her teeth, etc. She came out of the bathroom in a knee length, black skirt and well fitted white blouse. She stretched and went into the kitchen. Her apartment was a good size but not really big. The light came though the small kitchen window above the sink. She put some bread in the toaster and brushed her hair while waiting. When it came out she put some butter on it and ate it while she got her papers and resumes together.

Today was the day she would go out for a job. She aimed for the cafe or the library. Somewhere not too loud. It had been a year since high school and she wanted to go to collage. She had no other way to pay other than getting a job. She had worked in a near by restaurant but when it went out of business she was left jobless. Her parents payed for her shelter but that was it. Not that they were mean they just wanted her to take responsibility. As for abigail her self, she was kind, but curious. She knew when someone was lieing and loved to know anything she could. Her mom always said it was going to get her in trouble. Not many people were hiring this time of the year. It was the beginning of fall and the leaves were just starting to change color.

She finished her toast and got up. She grabbed her phone and purse. Abigail took a deep breath and slipped on her flats. As she locked her apartment door she smiled with confidence. The day was cool but it was nice. There was no wind and the sun was shining. She saw an acquaintance and waved hello but as she did so she bumped in to someone. "I'm terribly sorry" she said as she quickly looked at the stranger and apologized.
