You know @Vivian technically speaking, you only need Staff Approval for movies if you make it an official Iwaku event. If it's just you and some friends you happen to know on Iwaku? You should be in the clear unless if it starts violating stuff like "Don't get sexual with different age groups". But since you specifically stated IWAKU movie night? Yea... Staff probably do need to approve... But I like covering these technicalities, it's fun, and might alert staff to potential loopholes. :P

@Vivian I wouldn't mind dropping in sometimes with @Sen depending on the time and if it's compatible with our time zones. On the update day I am also planning a Studio Ghibli / Animated Movies marathon as the members wait for Iwaku's big update to finish.

When I state Iwaku Movie night, I mean I W A K U (the cult of the role-playing community),
The point of this is to help out people to make some new friends here, or even get new members engaged in the community to some degree. On another note, thanks for the suggestions! Trump himself is a great laugh as it is, I'm sure Johnny'll make him a riot.

Well... Honestly speaking I've never seen any official Iwaku events (outside of Teamspeak when the sites down) in my time on Iwaku. But Iwaku did have a radio show before my time, so I know such a thing is at the very least possible.
Plus, I may or may not tend to prod @Diana with "What-if" questions on site rules and policies to the point any sane person would think "You're just looking to break this site aren't you?".
Though if you're doing it more in the spirit? Just make sure it doesn't fall under a "Sneaky way to work around the rules" deal... In other words, don't watch porn. :P

In all honesty? I don't even think showing teen's a rated R movie would be a problem by Iwaku's rules.
Like... We allow them to have Liberteen RPs so they're already exposed to mature content that'd normally be flagged as too mature. And the only reason we have the Liberteen/Libertine separation is due to ages of consent and such, something that wouldn't apply to just watching a movie... Unless if it's Porn.... Don't watch Porn. :P
In that case have you tried making a Discord room for it? It'd be a lot easier to gather people if they engage with and know each other more often than just a weekly meet up.

Yeah, that makes sense, but wouldn't you think watching an R rated movie with both teens and adults would be like me walking into the Libertine section when I'm supposed to be in Liberteen?

*I'm not interested in fandoms I don't know and I am not interested in playing canon characters. I only play OCs.

You got Deadpool, Kick Ass, Terminator, Gladiator etc.
Remember it can get rated R for sexual themes yes, but also for just a certain level of swearing and violence.

Actually we had a pokemon thing that was an Iwaku official event (it doesn't have to hosted by staff to be official you know). There were message boxes for it and everything. And if you want to count roleplays there was the Mythos (which I would love to see brought back) and Illum. I also kind of miss the once a month Mascarades (?) Diana and Ozzy hosted in ChRPs.
Also: Sausage Party; I need to see this too :o
