Irredeemed (Open/Accepting)

So, let's get the story moving a bit. I have a general idea of where we are, but for our position what would we encounter deep in the woods? Jax being as resourceful and knowledgeable as he is has marked up to where he has traveled and encountered food/resources/tools.

Also are there any ancient civilizations that might contain old technology, shelter and the like? I'm just trying to get an idea of where we can set this to go for right now.
 
There's actually quite a bit around, but that is for roleplaying purposes and will be detailed in the text.
As for what we might encounter, any number of things both hostile and not.
Don't worry yourself overmuch, I've a few threads spinning about what might happen.
