When in IRC I refreshed the page to check for alert updates, only to discover it requires me to relogin to the chat without logging out the former me, so now there's two Gwazi Magnums sitting around. :/
 
Well, for one, the chat is not an IRC based chat! It is a php based chat. :D

And two, this is a known bug, sadly. D: You if refresh or leave without logging out, the name is stuck in there until it times out on it's own (usually about 20 minutes) OR until a mod boots the name. Usually a mod is in there and will boot the name immediately. :D
 
When going away from the chat or updating the page, you'll have to start over the log in process. Your other self disappears eventually by itself. (Checked the chat just now, and there's only one of you online, so you don't have to worry about it.)

If you want to check your alerts while in chat, open a new window if you can, so that you won't have to log into the chat over and over again ;)
 
Yea the 2nd me is gone by now thankfully.

And I'll be sure to check alerts via different tabs in the future.

Also, I have no idea what IRC or Php chat actually stands for.
IRC is just what the chat was called back on the old site I used, so I just assumed that was the name for all such chat rooms.
