There is no magic more powerful than that of a child's laugh.
For centuries, in every child's bedroom, the words of fairytale books have come to life. These stories, murmured by doting parents and lulling babes into slumber, have carried generations of children into worlds of lively imagination and peaceful dreams. And it is this magic -- the love and imagination of our world's youth -- that have given life to these very characters. And it is this magic that has given life to Rosemeade Hollow.
Rosemeade Hollow, nestled deep in the woods of Germany, is home to the heroes of these stories. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, and their friends, live here in human forms, generated and manifested by the love and belief of modern human children. In Rosemeade Hollow, they are able to wield magic of their own -- each individual blessed with a power reflective of their character in the stories. However, this town also affords them safety and protection -- because the children's magic birthed the stories' villains, too.
The beloved heroes of these stories have lived in Rosemeade Hollow for hundreds of years, with new additions joining the town as new classic stories are formed by the mortals. They have lived in peace and harmony. Until now. An unknown force has begun to sap the magic of the town -- they can feel it in their bones, and their magic is progressively growing weaker. When a beloved leader is killed by a vicious parasite, the heroes band together, determined to find the source of their suffering and destroy it.
Before it destroys them all.
____________.･ﾟ ☆ THE LORE
Rosemeade Hollow
- Rosemeade Hollow, the home of our heroes, sits deep in the Southern German woods. It is incredibly isolated, therefore, it is difficult to find. Even if a human were to stumble across the village, they would find themselves repelled from the location by magical wards put in place by the town itself.
- The town's magic is unregulated by the heroes, as it is fuelled by the love, belief, and imagination of children across the world. This magic fuels both the the town, and the people who live within it.
- The town, visually, looks just like a cute medieval village. There is a town square filled with stores such as a bakery, a grocery store, a clothing store, an apothecary, etc. The town square is in the precise center of the town.
- From the town square, there are several streets of houses, which stretch out to the edge of the town like spokes of a wheel. There is no particular arrangement to the houses, so any character can live beside any other character. A map will be provided.
- See below for examples of the aesthetic of the town. This isn't necessarily what it looks like, but it's an example of the general appearance.

- The powers of the characters are reflective of two possible aspects.
- The powers the character had in their original story, or
- A facet of their personality. - In the human world, no character is incredibly powerful. Fairy Godmother, for example, can only transform objects into other objects, but cannot do the same for living creatures. In the human world, their powers are significantly limited.
- Their powers are also dependent on the magic of Rosemeade Hollow. If the town's magic starts to deteriorate, so will the powers of the people living in it.
- Characters can only have one power each.
- Similarly to the humans, the villains were generated by the magic of the mortal children.
- The villains do not have a structured town like the heroes. For the most part, they live nomadic lives, dwelling in decrepit locations like caves or abandoned buildings
- As with the heroes, the villains have significantly diminished powers. Some do not have powers at all.
- However, the villains have banded together, and with their pooled magic and intellect, they have developed a method to sap the magic from Rosemeade Hollow.
- To sap the magic from Rosemeade Hollow, the villains developed a parasite. This parasite is about the size of a mouse, and is mostly invisible, but it can be made visible with magic or by throwing a liquid onto it, to make it seen.
- The parasites bury under the skin when the victim is asleep, and directly consumes their magic by drinking blood. The parasite can remain in the body for up to two weeks.
- The human grows progressively weaker over that period of time. Their magic is the first to take a hit, then their physical health. If left in the body for long enough, the person will die.
- Once it has consumed its fill, the parasite leaves the human's body and makes its way back to the villains. The villains will then kill and crush the parasite, consuming it and absorbing the magic it stole. With their enhanced magic, the villains are now working on a method by which they can take down Rosemeade Hollow itself.

- The primary form of communication for this roleplay will be on Discord, so please have an account and be ready to join our server.
- This roleplay will be smut-free. If you would like to engage your characters in smut, please do so in PMs.
- Please be at least 18 years of age.
- Please be advanced or adept in your writing skill.
- Please be respectful and friendly to one another! IC fighting is fine, but we should be civil OOC.
- All coding, both IC and character sheets, should be easy-to-read.
- You can post a reservation for where you'd like your character sheet to be, in order to keep characters together. But it's first-come, best-dressed.
- Please don't chat too much in this thread -- we'd like to keep it nice and tidy.

- Third person, past-tense only please.
- Your posts should be, at least, two or three decent sized-paragraphs.
- Once again, no smut whatsoever.
- We understand that real life gets in the way, but please try to post once every two weeks. If you can't post, just let us know!
- Also, please let us know if you need to drop altogether.
- No power-playing. The powers should be somewhat restricted, as the magic is not as intense in the human world.
- Also, no perfect, unflawed characters. We want to see real people!
- Do not control other people's characters without their permission.
- You can roleplay violence if it makes sense to the plot, but make sure you have the permission of that character's owner before you do so.
