Sonya Kaence
Multus, Jupiter
Hall of the Leviathan
General Primo, with a face full of anguish, entered the Hall of the Leviathan and knelt before the princess. The royal guards had locked down the vicinity, turning all of Multus into an impressive fortress (so to speak). The rest of Jupiter was slightly less fortunate. It was evident that the Jovian army had been stretched too thin across the massive planet, while mobilizing their forces was a logistical nightmare. Sonya began to frown as her personal escort informed her that it was time to leave. Orin had been notified of the situation as well, further strengthening the need to keep the princess safe on Ganymede.
But being the compassionate, sometimes daring ruler that she was, Sonya refused. "I will not leave the planetary capital in this time of distress. The Martians have quarrel with my husband. Until the prince is safely returned, I cannot hide from my responsibilities. Truly I am sorry, General Primo." Even the servants thought her decision more foolish than brave, but they acquiesced. The palace's defenses would have to be put to good use until Orin was retrieved. Beginning a prayer to Solaris, Sonya hoped dearly that the Jovians would prevail. Primo trudged off into the army's temporary command station, waiting for a miracle above all else.
