That sounds good. All encompassing without referencing super powers. It's what my brain was trying to do but derping at it.

Anyway, I was trying to go a more tech route given what was already present.
Also, I have a pretty good idea for a character. Going to try something different in an attempts to work in the 'all walks of life' bit.

But this is a really interesting idea, and I've been wanting to actually get in an immersive group RP right when it comes up. My luck has been leading me to joining them when they are 10 pages in.

I'm interested. With the egghead character taken, how about I make an economist? A moneymaker if you will.

I'm thinking of someone who's got a near superhuman level of business sense. He'd probably either fund or work for the gear head fellow.

This is definitely interesting. Does split-second decision-making work as an omni-skill? Obviously your character (@ch0sen1) would still be able to predict their moves, but there would be less time to react as they would act in the same moment as they made the decision.

If that's not okay, I'll think of another one.

I like that. That's cool.

Hmm that's a tricky one, that really just sounds like impulsiveness at its core, I couldn't really see that being a valued asset to the sect.

I'm interested. Would you accept a gifted assassin with a highly advanced prosthetic arm made from nanites that are programmed to be self replicating when provided the materials and capable of forming any weapon and act as armor? Technology can be someone's best friend or worst nightmare.

we already have a tech-expert, sorry. Think of another skill please.

Expert covert assassin. The prosthetic is just his weapon.

Nope, not stealth. Sure stealth is an important thing for an assassin, but there are other important things that go above stealth. For example, the motif operandi, weapon of choice, escape route chosen, etc. Not too mention how adaptable the assassin is. Also, stealth can be a skill and not a superpower. People can be overlooked unless you are right on top of them and they draw attention to themselves. Controlling your breathing, how light or heavy your footsteps are, watching what's on the ground for glass or rocks, controlling the sounds you make as you walk, etc.

You're naming multiple things. We have someone that can do all those things, but how will your character be different from them?

Alright, scratch the assassin. I'm going all out genetics expert.

Looks like you guys are lacking a scientist as of right now. I would be more than willing to fill that role. I think I could fulfill the role of "Weapon Enhancement" e.g. poisons, but I dont want to be so limited. So like Incendiary rounds, exploding rounds, knives that can heat up and cauterize as it is cutting, etc. Of course, mostly I could do posion enchancments for most melee weapons, but a gun, for example, will not need posion, as much as other forms of secondary damage, eg sharpel, incendiary, possibly even "split shot"(think blue birds from Angry Birds.)

Ok Master Geneticist would work.

Well as far as weapons development no we don't have one, but more weapon oriented users, and poisons sounds like a Toxic Expert/Virology. So for an Omni Skill, you'd have to choose between the two.

Well I think Markov is taking the Genetics expert skill, so I think I will take Weapons Development, if you will accept me.

Genetics has nothing to do with poisons. You still have a shot. I'm dealing with modifying DNA, so i can mess with bioweapons like viruses and other microbes as well as modifying the human gnome and seeing what happens in this rp. Genetics could give a person a predisposed immunity to a certain toxin or certain toxins, but the ability to poison someone through a genetic modification, unless the gm says otherwise, is more in the realm of science fiction and will not be appearing in this rp.

Yes, but I think that this scenario calls more for a "Weapons Developer" than a poison specialist, after all poisons do leave traces, whereas, say incendiary rounds, don't.

Some poisons could be biotoxins like the venom of a snake or the poisonous barbs of a sting ray. Yes, poisons can leave traces behind, but they can be very misleading and point the authorities to the wrong person. Incendiary rounds can leave signs as well like burned flesh. I think you had high explosive incendiary rounds in mind.
