Insanity is a Lifestyle, and I'm Living it (temporary thread)

"Favorite song.. Favorite song.." he was trying as hard as he could to stay himself, cringing from the effort. He began quietly singing to himself, remembering the lyrics of the song clearly. "We're all children of the dream, wherever we may be, forever young.." he sang, slowly starting to calm down. The sweat on his forehead slowly vanished and his expression turned to that of content as he began playing a miniature air guitar solo. The best time to take action in finding a new source of music would be now, because once the song was over, he would have nothing.

Sam stood at her door, breathing in and out slowly and deeply. She was going to try and go out of her room now, but the fear that a male would be right there once she opened the door was freaking her out. She heard the noise coming from the patient's lounge earlier, which made this decision a little more difficult to make. Then, in one quick motion, Sam opened the door and stepped outside, closing it behind her. She had her eyes closed, and slowly opened them up, looking up and down the hallway. Breathing deeply and slowly again, Sam began to walk to the lounge. She was simply going to get a drink and go back to her room.

"Good, that's good." Carl encouraged Scarrlet as he guided him to his room. As they exited the lounge he asked a passing nurse to find him an mp3 player as quick as possible. Since the boy, well, young adult actually he reminded himself, was a high-risk patient his room was further away. That made things a little more complicated.

((Sound, I'll let you decide whether someone makes it in time with the mp3 player, bwahahah))

In the meantime, Joe was sitting in her bed and noticed how her hands were cupped over her crossed legs as if she was holding something. Her eyebrows furrowed as she wondered why this was. Upon opening her hands she saw a set of keys and her expression turned to surpise.
We're going to have some fuuuuuuun, the Voice chided in her mind. She realised that with her struggle with nurse Carl she must've taken the keys! Well, the Voice did... She never liked this voice, it was worse than Bucky even. Oh come on, just a little walk, see what's going on around here. the Voice insisted.

She found herself getting up and heading for the door, maybe just for a little while and then they'd head right back.
Her imaginary 'friend' Bucky was encouraging this, Yeah come on. I'll be the lookout.
Joe agreed.

As the door opened Bucky headed out and checked the corridors, Clear. Let's go this way! he said and went in the direction of the lounge. Joe had to be careful of running into any staff members as they knew she wasn't allowed out without nurse Carl. With the help of Bucky she could hide in time and being barefoot helped her to walk more quietly.
The walk turned out longer than anticipated but Joe didn't notice that, much to the Voice's enjoyment. Eventually they came to the lounge and Joe saw a girl (Sam) there in the hallway. Her back was facing Joe and something clicked in her head. Oppertunity. A grin crept across Joe's face and she started sneaking up to the girl from behind. Her werewolf fantasy was starting to take hold again, and when she was just behind the girl she whispered in her ear,
"Are you a vampire?"
The reason she thought this was due to her dark hair and as far as she know, vampires had this trait.

(For refference, Bucky being able to play "lookout" is merely Joe's own senses being used, like listening for footsteps).

Kevin looked nervously at the girl when she pushed herself up, he was sure she would fall to the ground any moment. He backed a bit away from her but still stayed in a distance where he could catch her if she would fall.
"I'm Kevin" He said, thinking about if he should say nice to meet you, but with what had happend to them a moment ago, maybe that wouldn't be such a proper thing to say. After all, their meeting had been all but nice.
"Are you sure you don't want me to follow you to your room? I mean, if you fall again" He said out of concern, but didn't really want to if something weird happend again.

"Hi Kevin" Sammie shook her head, "Thanks but I should be okay. I'll just go now. See you." Sammie waved and walked out the room. Hurrying to her own, she slammed the door shut and collapsed on her bed. Good Gods, today was turning out to be one of the oddest days yet in all the time she'd been here. Well it may be an odd place, but it was certainty better then being at home...

Kevin stood stunned in his room with his hand still in the air after reaching for the girl to help her, but then she had suddenly almost throwned herself out of the room. It took some time for Kevin to get a hold of himself again but a couple of minutes later he was in full controll over his body. He decided to go out of his room again to collect his thoughts, not because it was better outside of his room. Maybe it was a bad idea to go out of the room but he didn't really have anything to do in the room and he was bored. And after the things that happend with that girl he didn't feel comfortable in his room if she would come back and flirt with him again and then start crying.

He walked out of the room and back to the main room where those two had been fighting a while ago, he hoped all the crazy stuff would be over for today. He sat down at a chair looking out of the window, without doing anything, just looking and thinking.

((Oh, fine, make me do the hard part~ xD))

Scarrlet had been sitting in the far corner of his room from the door, knees hugged to his chest, for about ten minutes before someone came in to see him. The nurse didn't say anything, but handed him a new IPod which, conveniently, had all the songs his previous one had. Without a second thought about why or how, he popped the ear buds into his ears and relaxed to the sound of an improvised techno beat from a live show he had obtained a recording of.

He was let out of his room several minutes later to eat lunch. He knew he would be let out because the lunch bell had begun to go off and he hadn't ever missed a lunch before. Everyone had gathered in the mess hall and was talking, but he sat alone in a corner as usual, eating a small portion of mashed potatoes, a turkey cheese sandwich, a bag of potato chips, and a glass of lemonade. He didn't like sitting alone, but he was scared of hurting people with his words, his actions, or whatever else. He knew what a disaster he could cause, and he didn't want that to happen; so he sat by himself.

Kevin didn't hear the lunch bell because he were to caught up in his thoughts, but a nurse happend to see him and shoke him a bit.
"Wh-wh-what?" he said, sounding like a new wake person.
"It's lunch now" She said friendly and Kevin nodded to her and thanked for her concern. She walked away and Kevin sat there a couple of minutes before going towards the mess hall, it looked like everyone else already were there. The tables had already become full and he didn't see any table that was empty. He liked sitting alone, sometimes he sat with just a few people without talking to them.
He saw a table with just one person, wasn't that the same person that had fought that woman before? He weren't certain if he wanted to sit there but he decided that he should just sit down there and eat, if he didn't talk to him and he didn't talk to Kevin then nothing would happen. He hoped.

He sat down silently at the other side of the table and started to eat.

Scarrlet didn't notice for a moment or so, but when he did he freaked out and hid under his massive amount of hair. He wasn't used to other people wanting to socialize with him, so he had no idea how to respond to this. To cope, he simply continued eating and sat back up, brushing his hair away and smiling. 'Please don't start a conversation, Please don't start a conversation, Please don't start a conversation..!' he thought to himself, not wanting to mess anything up with the new person. He ate the rest of his chips and crumpled the bag into a tight ball, looking around for a trash can for a moment before spotting one a few tables away. "Hm.." he mumbled, looking at the can intently. He took his best aim and threw the chip bag ball nearly all the way across the room and into the trash can, shrugging as if he had messed up afterwards.

Sammie jolted awake when the bell signaling the start of lunch rang. Not wanting a nurse to lead her there and make sure she ate, the girl walked silently down the hall, pressing herself against the wall so she wouldn't run into anyone. Getting her food was the easy part, deciding where to sit was harder. Sammie didn't like sitting with people. When she sat with people they always seemed to want to talk to her. She didn't want to talk to them

Surveying the room she noticed most of the tables were already full. Sammie stamped her foot. Great just great. Urgh if only she'd gotten here sooner. She perked up when she noticed a mostly empty table. Only two others sat there. She started towards it when she noticed the two people where Kevin and the dark haired boy Scarrlet. Sammie didn't really want to sit with Kevin after what had happened earlier but... She shrugged it was either sit there or sit at full table. Sammie would take her chances. Without saying anything, Sammie slipped into an empty seat and started to eat.

'Don't talk to me, please don't talk to me' she prayed

Scarr kept his smile, nervously darting his eyes about and shaking slightly. "Hn.." he whimpered quietly to himself, a bit scared of the growing number of table occupants. Damien was on his way out again. The stress of the situation was nearly overwhelming as he took another bite of mashed potatoes. Then he stopped moving altogether. He placed his hands flat on the table and stared down at his plate, slowly looking up afterwards. ".... Eep!!" he squeaked slightly in terror, hiding beneath his chair from the people at his table. 'Oh gods..! What happened?! Where did all these people come from..?!' he thought in fear, huddling his head to his knees to try and keep himself away.

Kevin sat silently as the guy throwed a paper ball in to the trash can, Kevin got a bit surprised but kept silent. He looked down in the table the hole time.
Then the girl from before came, what was her name? Sammie was it? Probably. He really didn't want to talk to her, he was still embarrased after their last meeting. He noticed how nervous the guy became, was that really the same guy and the same girl that almost had killed eachother? And more important, they got him in to it. He hoped they wouldn't start fighting again. All of a sudden the guy got panic, which almost made Kevin get panic.
"Are you okay?" He asked after a minute, a bit worried about the guy. He really didn't want to talk with these people but there was some times he couldn't help it.

"Meep..!" he replied quietly, afraid of basic human contact at the time. 'Why is this guy talking to me?! I wana go back to my room!!' he thought, hiding his head even farther into his knees and slowly beginning to cry from the amount of mental stress he was going under. He shakily reached up to grab his food tray, scuttling away nervously from the situation towards the door before he did.

He eventually made it back to his room and hid under a blanket on his bed. And there he stayed for the rest of the lunch period.

Sammie blinked as the Scarrlet moved away from the table. And she thought she had socializing issues. She blushed when she realized it was just her and Kevin now at the table now. "Oh dear.." she mumbled tugging at the sleeve of her sweater nervously

Lunch, finally. Carl thought as he took a deep breath to relax. He was in the staff room, eating a sandwich and having a glass of juice. A few of the other staff members were there too and he could see some of them were still processing the incident earlier. Thankfully, apart from that he's had no other trouble from the patients so far and even Joe had taken her medicine well enough.

Oh yeah, he had to escort her to the cafeteria.
Right.
He quickly finished half of the sandwich and downed the juice before heading out to where Joe's room was. I hope she's in a good mood.

Sam reacted calmly. She could tell it was female by the voice. "That's a strange question to be asking. What? Do you think you're a werewolf?" She asked. Something like this wasn't unusual. Sam believed strongly in the paranormal, since pretty much all of her hallucinations have something to do with it. Although, she hardly ever knew she was hallucinating. Sam truly believed they were actually happening, which was why she was still being kept here at Pine Rest. Though she was improving. She used to be considered a high risk patient until just last month. Now she is treated like a medium risk. "I can assure you that I am no vampire. I do not suck blood."

Hmm, I like her. Bucky commented, impressed by the girl's calmness.
The question nagged at Joe though and she replied with her own,
"You think I'm not?" while still keeping close as she watched for any reaction. She didn't smell like a vampire, so Joe backed off and stepped forward to face the girl.
She stared at her intently with a scrutinising look. It lasted a good few seconds and she tilted her head at the last bit. Then she smiled normally,
"My name's Joe. What's yours?" she asked, curious.

Just then the lunch bell went off but she ignored it. It bothered the Voice though. The medicine will kick in soon, don't just stand here. It complained.

Kevin looked after the guy as he walked out of the hall. Really weird guy, one moment he tries to kill someone and the next he is scared to death. Suddenly he realised that he was alone with sammie, the memory of them on the bed in his room came up in his mind. He blushed and moved a bit uncomfortable on the chair. He looked down on the food and tried to concentrate on it instead of her. But the silence between them was torturing him and soon he broke the silence.
"Nice weather today" He didn't take his eyes of the food when he spoke and fast realised that he had just said the worst ice breaker in history. He almost wanted to hit himself when he realised that he maybe should have stayed quiet instead.

"My name is Sam." She said, then heard the bell ring shortly after she said that. "Uh...I better get going..." Sam said nervously, backing away back towards her room. The lunch bell meant others would be coming this way soon. She didn't want to be here, especially since there would be males coming this way. She turned around and walked fast towards her room, hoping she wouldn't run into a guy on the way.

Scarrlet emerged from his bedroom shortly after leaving the lunch room. He had slowly eased out of Damien and had become Charles now, the intellectual one. He calmly closed the door behind him and walked into the social room. He was the first one there, so he took a look around to see what he could grab a hold of in the time being. "Hm.. Oh!" he exclaimed, noticing a brand new puzzle box toy across the room on a table. He eagerly strolled over and took it apart without looking at it. "Let the fun begin~" he said, beginning to fiddle with each piece and learn its shape.
