I think the idea of him not being dead, or at least not really dead, is an interesting one. What did you have in mind for the trap idea? I kind of like the idea of him being kind of an ambiguous character, not really the villain but definitely causing trouble and having his own agenda.

The trap idea is a little formless at the moment but what if he needed Mishka for something? Maybe to help rescue him from the predicament he's in or maybe just to force Mishka to accept him as his Father. If he's been swept up in the Wild Hunt and he's less than honorable maybe he wants Mish to take his place? I think he wasn't the most open of people which is why Mish's Mum left him and Mish's vision of him is a of a stand-offish man who never really cared. He could 'haunt' the house, stuck somewhere between the mortal realm and the dead, or the land of the Fae?

I found some lovely pictures of a cabin interior and some of them are what I was picturing.

http://weheartit.com/entry/2470029 The living room, the style isn't really Mish's style but I can see him not changing it just yet and thus stuck with what his Dad bought.

I think the bedrooms are a little less 'cabin' and quieter. The bedrooms were mostly empty when Mishka moved in anyway and they can be worked to either direction. In fact, the entire top floor is a blank canvas like the Dad just didn't stay up there very much at all.

Oh! I forgot.
Here are some winter 'sounds' for the House.

Tribs, those are gorgeous. <3 Much love.

Any further thoughts on Mishka's dad?

As for Mish's Daddy...

I like the idea of him being trapped in the Hunt and Mish inheriting the house is just a grand ruse to get the young man there so that Mish will feel like he needs to help his parent out. The lawyer is probably in on it, a Fae or something along those lines. So it is a trap to get him there, but only so the Father can escape the Hunt. I'm not sure if he wants Mishka to switch places with him or if he just needs someone of his blood.
I think Mishka thinks the house and grounds are haunted because of the Hunt as well. Strange noises and visions appear, they should be visible to Desya too.

All sounds good to me. I sort of like the idea of him needing Mishka to help him escape but not to switch with him. Leaves some things to explore after they potentially rescue him.

Woohoo. Daddy Mishka needs someone related to him to get him out. That works and then he can be an annoyance once they get him free.
...I guess I need to figure him out.
