In Rukbats Shadow is a Semi-cannon Pern RPG. Our setting is the ninth pass, with an active Avis plot.
We practice none gender limited Impressions (so men can and have impressed queens, women can impress bonzes and blues) as well as having many none cannon dragon colours and mutations to explore and make gameplay interesting for all.
We have an active Wherhold and Wherlings up for adoption. As well as dragons from this last one and other clutches up for adoption (See here)
We have a whole new angle with Riders and Candidates having Telepathic Abilities.
[align=center]Site Plot [/align]
[align=center]With the impending return of the Red Star and presumably thread, the Weyrs have tirelessly worked to train and rebuild. Unfortunately, queens are still only rising every two to four turns, and the smaller colors cannot be expected to reliably clutch. Dragons still only number a third of what existed in the 9th pass, a dangerously small amount considering the explosion of population to even more regions. The riders will be heavily called upon to defend the large cities which have sprung up, and the many places where it was impossible, and considered unnecessary, to build thread-safe housing.
With AIVAS once again speaking to the Weyrs, a new experiment was adopted, the first time that dragon genetics had been manipulated since Kitti Ping herself. One gold and one opal underwent the treatment, the last two golds having been left untouched in case of an error or danger to the dragons from the treatment. The hope was to increase clutching speed and the likelihood of laying golds and larger dragons.
Aztoreth is the first to rise since the treatments and is showing telltale signs of being heavy with eggs. High Reaches waits with bated breath to see the result of the treatments and what becomes of Aztoreth's clutch.[/align]

We have just had a flight in our second setting, Landing Weyr, a new Weyrleader has been chosen and we are expecting a surprising on-screen clutch. We are looking for Candidates for this clutch.
