Hmm. Since Adalinda is a fisherwoman by trade, despite her reputation as a 'witch', and resides in the general area of Folmburh (albeit, closer to the sea, and/or on the outskirts of town, whichever makes more sense in context), would she have been among the fishermen rather than staying as a traveler? I could see her booking a room anyways, if too drunk to go home on her own... but I also can't see her drinking that much in the first place. She might nurse a mug to be polite (while eating, of course), but that's about it.Last night, you were not the only guests at the inn. The local fishermen, having made a good amount of catch that day, decided to come by to the inn after work to celebrate. They ordered good amount of food and drinks, having the clerk run around here and there taking and delivering orders like a busy bee. After having a good party, the fishermen left-and, at least while you were awake, did not return to the inn.
Yes, the inn would be the location in the letterHmm. Or, alternatively, since I'd ended up using the Berkelman hook, was that inn the location the letter had specified to meet at?
Hmm... Was this one of the details that was added? It certainly derails some of Adalinda's analysis in her first post, by providing an actual reason why nobody woke up, but... On the other hand, I just can't see Adalinda trusting the innkeeper (well, the townsfolk in general, really) enough to let herself be drugged like that, and having reread Sebastian's bio, I notice that he has trust issues too! Of course it's up to Sebastian's player whether he would accept that kinda thing, but personally I can't see it either. That'd leave one or two of us with no logical reason to have failed to notice the attack, though, and one of my own posts in need of a rewrite, which'd probably trickle down into the Innkeeper's response needing to be rewritten. Sigh... Kinda a mess, tbh.The aromatic candle the inn owner placed in your room has burned out through the night, and as he ensured, you had a good night's sleep.
This incidentally no longer makes sense in context, given the addition of the candle...Strangely enough, you had a good night's sleep. Despite the scene foreshadowing a loud brawl, none of you remember waking up to any kind of loud noise. You fell asleep in your room upstairs, and woke up to a trashed inn. Something must have happened to keep you in good sleep while a little physical conflict happened.
...is this the result of the room-checking that Adalinda was asked to do, incidentally? Though either way, it certainly narrows down the potential persons-of-interest in this mystery... Though whether he was the target, the beast, or a red herring remains to be seen.Of course, at the moment, he was nowhere to be seen.
