Re: Impossible Love
(Sorry, I'm writing for several RPs atm. :P And no prob, close enough!)
Emilee smiled at her husband from across the table, admiring the rich chocolate of his eyes and the jaw of his square. Age and six children had only done him well; he was stronger, more handsome, and always seemed to have that special twinkle in his eye. She would never stop loving him, that she was sure of. After everything that they had been through, all the doubt and the heartache, she was bound to him for eternity.
She remembered when she felt saw him in Wolfe's coffee shop, in an old grey coat, his cheeks gaunt and mouth tired. How he had saved her from harm for the first time, how she had followed him to Sete. Emilee recalled the pure horror and agony she felt when he had been trapped on the other side of the tunnel door, how she was sure he had been killed. She remembered losing his first baby, whom they had named Taylor for their memories. How she thought he would never love him after she had failed his child. Then, the sun rose again in her heart, and she remembered their first home, getting engaged and eventually married. How Evangeline had broughten them so much joy, how they had finally become a family. In the coming years they would celebrate many happy birthdays and anniversaries, births and wonderful moments. Emilee smiled at the thought of Tom and Carole marrying, and how they honoured Efron's own parents, now presumed dead, every year on their anniversary.
Emilee smiled at it all. It was hard to believe that nine years ago, she had been a lonely girl working in a vulgar man's coffee shop. Now she was the wonderful mother to six children, and a wife to an amazing man.
The young couple danced around the restaurant, swinging and laughing. When a slower ballad came on, Efron wrapped his arms around her waist and Emilee curled into him nicely.
"Thank you, honey," she whispered against the cotton of his shirt.
She could hear the smile in Efron's voice, "for what?
Emilee grinned, then leaned up and kissed him. "For showing me there is no such thing as Impossible Love."
The End
