A positive thread only! Post about hitting your health goals, whatever they are, and as ambiguously as you like!

Yell that you did your walk today! ALL CAPS THAT YOU MET YOUR WEEKLY GOALS AND YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO SAY WHAT THEY WERE! Cheer on your friends for their healthy living accomplishments!


This thread should remain positive. This thread focuses on exercise-related activities and is meant as a tool to help people keep working toward their health goals.

This is not:
An advice thread (and especially not an unsolicited advice or judgmental thread). No body shaming. No workout-type shaming. All (healthy/safe) movement is good movement here. Also, please don't make sarcastic posts, we are trusting that anything you put here is genuine <3.

If you're feeling negative:
Try to soak in some of the positive in here, but don't leave even passive aggressive negative here. NONE. And, nothing is meant for comparison - it's ALL FOR THE I-WALK-U POSITIVE AND SUPPORTING VIBES. Whatever your body type, abilities, frequency, etc - there's no "better than" other than comparing to yourself and how much more healthy you're becoming/maintaining!

This is a place to fill up on the encouragement you need for hitting whatever health goals you have - be it for the day, week, month, year, lunch break stroll, etc.

SO COME YELL ABOUT THE GOOD & HEALTHY PHYSICAL WORK YOU'RE DOING FOR YOU!

As for me, I've been doing yard work. I have never had a yard to take care of until this year, so I am learning what it needs, and it's felt great to be out in the sunshine getting something done for the lawn and for me (OMG I am sore in places that might not have ever been sore before LOL). I never thought I'd be motivated to exercise via being the Lawn Dad but HERE I AM. It's so satisfying to ache and to see things grow :rainbow:

Great idea!!!

I recently got a Deer Run cause of Megasis suggestion and absolutely loving it! Getting my 10K steps in daily!
 
I'm allergic to the sun, so I have a walkies machine I am supposed to be doing 1 mile a day with! 8D I am not very good at being consistent, but I try. Usually if I do it in the morning it is hella easier, cause I can do a .5 mile speed walk in 10 minutes. So I'll do two of those to get in my whole mile.
 
I tried to go for a walk, but the heat was a lot, so I only did a small portion of it (my try again this evening). I did do my weight lifting, however.
 
I managed to start getting back into the habit of going on long walks with no real end goal, until I feel like I have had enough for the day.

I (try and remember to) do yoga every morning! I do my best, though there are many days that I forget LOLL

However, now that it's getting warm, I have been preparing the garden for planting! I am also looking around at different nature trails to take the dogs for walks upon!

20k steps a day more or less all this week so far. My aim is usually 10k since it sounds reasonable in my head.
 
I try to attend a class of pilates once a week at least. Been kinda good at going, can feel some muscles building. Definitely have been losing fat because my clothes are starting to be bigger but my weight stays the same. Yay muscles!

No specific health goals for now, other than gaining muscles and above all, improve my immune system.
 
Got a walk in with friends today while we played a game :D
 
went to the dog park. saw the dog that always sounds mean to one of mine, which mine loves since she's known her since she was 6mos old, and they are our neighbor. instantly decided to walk a lap around the park-park first because i hate the attention. my dogs also sound mean when they run into the dog park because they love to play 'lion king' (mufasa and scar fighting) and our 3rd likes to join them... so waited for the dogs to clear out a bit. lol.

then went to the park and ran around with them.

unplanned walk but glad i did it. i felt more awake and a good break from posting.

its fr crazy how much labor goes into some tasks that are "just cleaning" or some kinda "just house or yard work" and anyway "just" anything is an unfair reduction in getting some wild work done >:O! HOORAY FOR THE CRAZY COUCH WORKOUT! HOORAY FOR ..... me power-raking my grass again and sweating over that, too lmao

ive been working towards being able to do a pull up, and I FINALLY did it today!!!! I'm genuinely so proud of myself. step one in my goals to accomplish before I go to college DONE
 
Been almost a week, but I did my weight lifting again :D
