Hello you beautiful bastards! My name is Owl the Unwise, but people usually call me just Unwise (although they often use more passionate synonyms). I have been roleplaying for quite a few years, but lost my taste after they shutdown website I used to lurk in and been on almost two years long hiatus. But fortunately (and quite ironically) thanks to university studies requiring me to write essays on fairly regular basis, I have rediscovered my passion for writing and feel like I can start with roleplaying once again.

I’m a pretty laid back person who enjoys watching good movies and ranting about bad ones. I also played almost every good PC ever released (I’m not bragging, it is more of a curse than actual achievement), read quite a lot of books and watched more sitcoms then I would like to admit. Currently, I study international relations so please, do not ever engage in political debates with me because that is like a cocaine for me (though you usually cry a bit less after doing cocaine, or so I’ve heard).

As for my roleplaying preferences, I usually go for 1v1s but I have to admit that there is nothing better than well put together group roleplay trying to make something awesome. I tend to go for fantasy of Sci-Fi genres because I like the freedom it these settings give to players and roleplaying should be all about freedom, shouldn’t it? I also enjoy World-Building quite a bit and that’s something you can’t really do in real-life setting…

I hope to see you guys around and hope I can be a valid member of this beautiful community.

(Unnecessary pathetic disclaimer: PLEASE roleplay with me!)

Hello there, Unwise! Given your registration, maybe you're on the path out of that moniker ;)
Teasing, teasing, but I hope that you enjoy yourself here!

I think that focusing your brain on pursuits a little more grounded in reality and issues, hot topics, etc. makes it a little squirrely and prone to wandering off in the direction of sci-fi, fantasy, and other escapes so it doesn't surprise me that you've been pining for some creative writing. I'm already disappointing enough people with my slow posting for the time being so I won't offer myself up but I hope that you find marvelous partners here. If you need any help with anything, don't be afraid to ask!

Welcome, sir not-so-smart. Enjoy your stay, we only bite once a day. Stay awhile and listen.

Welcome to Iwaku!! :D I'm glad to hear you've found your mojo to start RPing again and that you stumbled into our clutches little corner of the internet to do so. If you are interested we have a pair of resources to help new members get settled that you could take a look at.

Firstly, there's the Getting Started guide, which provides a neat explanation of the sites areas. The second resource the Newbie Care Package. With this a staff member like myself or Kitti gets assigned to be your very own guide/question answering machine.

OK, now it's question time. Prepare yourself for a well done grilling.

Best Movie?
Worst Movie?
Most fun PC game?

Thank you all for this kind welcome! I'll try to learn the ropes by myself first, but I'll seek assistance if needed.

I love some grilling. It reminds me of food. I have not eaten proper food since I started with Uni...

Best movie? Catch Me If You Can. I love DiCaprio and my childhood dream was to become a professional conman (please ignore the fact I'd like pursue a political career...). There are definitely better movies, but something about this one just clicks right with me.

Worst Movie? Worst Movie I liked is the Suicide Squad. I know a lot of people like it, but oh boy it is's just horrible. Me and my friends were almost escorted out of the cinema because we were laughing too much, but there was just so many incredibly stupid things that just made it too hilarious to take anything seriously.
As for the Worst Movie I actually hate is Grown Ups. I really like Adam Sandler and believe he can do amazing movies, but he does so many stupid cashgrab stuff it's insulting to me and it should be insulting to general cinema audience and it should definitiely insult his own talent.

Most fun PC game? Most fun I had with a PC game would be when I used to be hardcore World of Warcraft player, though it wasn't the game that made it fun, it was the community. I used to play on small Czech barely working unofficial servers and there, community meant something. People you met at starting locations stayed with you during the whole game and you see them progress with you. It sounds strange, but there was a real sense of fun and camaraderie when we sat by virtual in-game fire and swapped stories.
