What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

This is only accurate when I am minding my Ps and Qs for whatever reason--usually in a controlled, hostile environment. Surely, for some it is possible to have a regional accent and still grasp the basic concepts of English diction. They're probably very lonely up there on their pedestals. (LOL did all of those sound the same?) :P

Everyone around me just says 'Coke' and that could be anything.

I say soda. And sometimes sodie water. But only if there is actual sodie water available. :|

Hurr. I'm from Ohio.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The West
Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: North Central
"North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.
Result Breakdown:

"Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot."

LOL

^ I actually got the same thing, haha.

One time a couple years ago, someone from Minnesota phoned my house looking for my dad. I told them that he was living in Russia but that I would pass on their message. She thanked me, and then said "You know, for a Canadian, you sound just like us here in Minnesota!"

It's POP!!!! Although here in Arkansas they call it soda, and only so many people actually know what i mean when i say pop.......it's wierd.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOFT DRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINK!

AND ITS NOT A TRUCK ITS A UTE!

*foams at the mouth in a fit of beserk rage*

:jack:

We call it Soda round these parts.

......UTE!

IM AN AUSTRALIAN! WE KNOW THIS KINDA SHIT! DO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

UTE MEANS "OUTSIDE" HERE FOO'!

Yay for calling soda-drinks and all that sugary shit for their actual brand-names.

At least I'm not from Texas, where everything, and I MEAN EVERYTHING that is carbonated soda water is called Coke. I refuse to say I want Pepsi Coke. FFFFFFFFFFFF

It's either soda or pop around here though, but usually we're pretty specific. When we want a beverage, we want 'Pepsi' or 'Root Beer' or 'Coke'
