In 2011, Japan was hit with a devastating 9.0 magnitude earthquake that would later be called the Great East Japan Earthquake. Not only did the earthquake cause a lot of destruction, but it also caused a massive tsunami that flooded more than 200 square meters of coastal land. The natural disasters killed about twenty thousand people, and roughly fifty thousand people were forced to evacuate their homes. The travesty left the nation weak, the land scarred, and the peoples' morale and pride crippled.

Unfortunately, Japan did not have enough time to recuperate from the disaster. The United States government had had interests in invading Japan in the midst of mounting tensions between the two world powers. In the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake, America decided to attack Japan in its crippled state. The "war" between Japan and America lasted under a year, with America being the victor.

It is now 2019. America has maintained its presence in Japan for almost a decade. The nation suffers in its ever-crippled state and under the pressure of its enemy, but for now it is at peace. People shuffle to and from work, students struggle their way through school, and everyone merely persists through their daily lives. This RP's story begins in Nashiro, Japan. Our cast consists of students from Hyakusawa Academy as they currently try to get through the school year in one piece. Of course, this is easier said than done, for one mysterious incident will occur and unite them together, and soon they will see that not all is what it seems.

This roleplay will take place in the fictional prefecture of Nashiro. Our characters will be students at Hyakusawa Academy.

1) Post on the IC at least once a week and be active in the Discord overall. Plotting, bantering, and everything else is super fun to me!

2) DO NOT GHOST/DROP OUT/DISAPPEAR for random lengths of time without notifying the group.

3) I am currently looking for three more people at MAX, as we already have a cast of four. This will put our group at a number of seven. Our male-to-female ratio is currently 3-1, so please consider this when planning out a character.

4) I usually accept people who create the best character sheets/ideas and are the most active; this is not a first-come-first-serve RP and I will not be accepting everyone who declares interest. That being said, I'd appreciate it if you could make your sheets look pretty-- add some color and all~

5) I'd prefer friendly players who are nice to not only myself but everyone in the group. I am also looking for players who are 18 years and older.

6) This will not be a stat driven RP. I would also prefer it if people kept their Personas secret from one another. It adds to the suspense. That being said, there are two parts to the sheet. When you are done, please do not post your Metaverse/Persona section (the second half of the sheet). PM that to me.

7) I prefer to play with people who have NOT RPed with me before. This does not include the people who I have invited.

8) This roleplay will be mostly character driven. That being said, take your time in crafting out your characters. I will only be accepting the people who have taken the time and care to make their characters and ideas.

AKARI SATOU

"Win or lose, I still have this face."

GENERAL

[Full Name]
Akari Satou

[Alias]
Kari

[Grade]
Third Year

[Arcana]
Sun

[Date of Birth]
August 22nd

[Age]
17 Years Old

APPEARANCE

Standing comfortably at 5’8, Akari is well above average height. She was blessed with grey eyes that she often hides behind circle lenses and a light complexion. Her hair is long, black, and often held in a ponytail or bun. Her posture is refined and proper from playing the viola and her build is very slim only weighing in at 130lbs. When it comes to choosing an outfit, she loves big soft sweaters and comfortable clothing overall but is not against dressing up. She also isn’t against dressing down either and mix matching outfits. In her eyes, she looks good in everything. Her favorite color is pink and she is hardly ever seen without something pink.

PERSONALITY

Akari’s personality is a bit hard to put your finger on. She claims she is as shy and introverted as they come yet is so playful and confident, it’s hard to be sure. What stands out the most is her caring almost maternal nature. She is caring to a fault and puts the needs of others before her own. Her whole personality is based around making others feel at ease and happy. At the same time, she can be quite serious and has a bit of a traditional mindset. She strongly detests those who are disrespectful to their seniors and has no problem politely voicing her opinion on the matter.

What most people take note of, however, is her confident and goofy nature. She is a big fan of puns and loves making others laugh. To hide her shy nature, she will often mask it with an overbearing level of confidence and humor. In a sense, this contradictory nature of hers leaves her feeling really insecure and she often wonders how much of this persona is actually her. Yet she is optimistic and hopes that by making others smile more, she will also smile more. To top it off, she can act as a bit of an airhead every now and then, finding playing dumb much easier than facing life like you know what you’re actually doing.

BACKGROUND

Akari is from an average upper class family consisting of a father, a mother, and two older brothers. As the youngest, she was often both picked on and pampered. Her parents pampered her for being the youngest and a girl while her brothers picked on her, not too fond of her getting most of the attention. The attacks varied from light teasing to actually pushing her around and trying to blame her for things they did. This led to repercussions for the two, of course, which eventually led to making it worse.

Eventually she got it to stop by playing dumb. If her parents didn’t know they were picking on her, they wouldn’t get in trouble. She then won her brothers over by continuing to be their dumb little sister. This would lead to her habit of acting dumb in front of those of the opposite sex, mistakenly coming to the assumption that if she didn't, they would feel threatened and pick on her as well. Aside from taming her brothers, her home life was very uneventful.

That is, until disaster struck. The 2011 earthquake took her parents and her second oldest brother. The two siblings that survived relocated to live with one of their aunts who also lost her kids to the tragic event. Although they were meant to inherit their parent’s money, the economy fell to a state where their money mysteriously disappeared. Whether their aunt took it or another family member with connections took it, or the government itself, no one could figure it out. The bank itself held no answers and everyone’s world was being torn apart by the war.

As such, the two siblings suddenly went from upper class to middle as her aunt was still really successful in her field. It wasn’t too big of a fall and neither really cared. The loss of their loved ones hit them much harder. Although their aunt was of great comfort, it was no replacement. Gradually, life slowly returned to normal, or at least as normal as it could get. As with the rest of Japan, they simply took it one step at a time and grew closer as a result.

To deal with the turbulent emotions that came with the aftermath, Akari tried to focus on the positive and made more and more friends to fill the void and help others fill theirs. With what time she had left, she used it to focus on music, finding solace in sound. Wanting to share that feeling with others, she now aspires to be a musician. Upon sharing this dream of hers with her Aunt, her aunt was strictly against it. The competition is fierce and with the economic pressures Japan faced at the time, it wasn't a dream worth having in her eyes.

At first it was just a simple rejection. She didn't allow her to join the music club or talk about it. Eventually it escalated to breaking her viola and arguments. Life at home suddenly changed to an uncomfortable place to be. Not one to relish confrontation, Akari rebelled and took to spending more time outside with her peers. To save up for another Viola, she lied about her age and secretly got a part-time job at a karaoke bar.

EXTRA

→That kind of friend who will set their ringtone on max volume so they can always be there even in odd hours of the night.

→Allergic to chocolate

→Fears the occult, thunderstorms, and fire. Weak to jump scares.

→Plays the Viola and the Piano but has more love for the former.

→Lowkey scared of men.

SUZUME TACHIBANA
“You can be anything you want to be, but not everything.”
Appearance
Suzume carries in her upright posture and sharp bright eyes an air of perfect confidence and hints of authority. She is slightly tall in comparison to her peers, and thin, almost fragile looking if not for the healthy way she moves about, not quite athletic either, but decently energetic.

Background
The Tachibana clan has a long tradition of military service. Their influence rooted deep in the complicated system of the Japanese government and armed forces. Yet all it took was one major loss to do away most of their fame, the same time Japan’s independence did. The Tachibana clan is few in number now, their head, an army general, was assassinated by an unmanned drone at the onset of the brief war, his brothers killed soon after in the conflict, then most of their wealth confiscated. Almost ten years later, the late head’s children represent what was once great now three in number, they were Suzume, Ari and Washi Tachibana, of whom the eldest sister Suzume was scarcely adult, and the younger twin, one boy and one girl, barely over ten.

Before the fall of Japan, Suzume was a relatively normal girl, on her shoulder lay the relative normal expectations of a descendant of a wealthy and politically powerful clan. The heaviest of burdens were reserved for the male twin – Washi Tachibana, the boy who would have inherited his father’s position if not for the disaster befell their family. He had no time to learn his responsibilities, while Suzume did. Naturally, the eldest sister had to take the position.

About ten years ago, the children began their lives anew, built upon their family’s ruin, though they had never been in dire need of money, the extravagant lifestyle was no more. They lived in a small mansion in Nashiro, taken care of by a an old maid and a distant relative, whose only meaningful relation to them was his thirst for their remaining meagre wealth.

Back then, Suzume was still every bit naïve and full of fear. But no pushover. In the absence of her deceased mother, her father had taught her to be strong, and if not, appear to be. She greeted the stranger of an uncle with her most piercing gaze, conveyed clearly her unwelcoming intent. She failed, as he stayed, eating away his share of money for the task of babysitting a bunch of uncooperative kids while letting them to their all devices. Only the old maid kept on with her duty as if her masters unchanged. Suzume’s intense wariness, however, prevented her from looking for the warmth in the old maid’s heart. She stubbornly insisted to live independently of all adults and learned to do all the house chores herself. Eventually, only the task of cleaning the mansion was left for the increasingly ageing woman.

For now, Suzume is waiting to be of age. Her efforts had her excel academically, and altogether with her background, she was promised a future by an old friend of her father, who is now a lobbyist in the America controlled government. This haze-covered future seems to her the path she must walk.

Personality
Suzume is the typical honor student who’s also determined to play the part. She is good at studying, dabbles into college-level materials when she has time to spare. Never skips classes, never late, tardiness is unknown to her. She never misses club activities too, although for a very different reason. In general, she adopts a strict attitude towards life, works hard always and extremely organized, borderline a control freak. She even expected everyone else to share her mindset. To her, it seems unthinkable to have a goal and not giving your all to reach it.

Few know that being studious and ambitious was not originally in her nature. Only after the fall of Japan and her family fell along into ruin did the eldest sister took upon herself the task of restoring her family name and looking after for her little brother and sister. And study hard she did. She aimed high, for a place in the political sphere of a colonized Japan, then even further when she has gotten there. At home, she educates her younger siblings with care and keeps the bad influences at bay, an uphill battle it seems, but she has descended from a long line of combatants in one way or another, this too is just another long war to endure through. She cooks their food, picks their study materials, even goes so far as to closely watch who they hang out with. A tyrant she resembles, but if she didn’t do all of that, who would?

The many responsibilities expectedly give her a tremendous amount of pressure, yet she takes great care to hide the stress well away from her innocent siblings and nosy classmates. And luckily, she is most blessed at putting on a carefree façade, which is evident in her club activities.

Suzume likes acting. Whether this interest arised from the pressure to play the role of a reliable sister for her siblings, or a way to escape from her daily tedious role, not even she dares find out. Perhaps she simply likes acting for what it is, much like the way most people enjoy their hobbies – without a reason needed. The drama club was her second home, where she immerses in her acting without any deeper motives, unlike her other interests. Whether a malicious duchess, a poor maiden in love or vain princes and fairies and nymphs, she becomes the characters in their entirety. Their pain and happiness, anger and love become her own, and she would not trade her role for anything but another. Eventually, though, she must. After high school, the chance to act would greatly diminish, she would have to study even more in college and when embarks on her challenging career, all distractions shall be discarded. She clearly loves the school life so dearly now. The current pressures could not compare with what to come. Putting that way, her freedom seemed limited, but whatever responsibility she takes, she takes on her own choosing. She knows well what lights the fire in her heart. Yet what is a selfish flame before the weight of family honor, ambition and her love for the little brother and sister? It is less wretched shackles and more reins of untamed ambition one must ever hold tight.

Her joy too would be as easily removed as she did other temptations and desires.

But for now, she appreciates the time spent with her younger siblings and reading books in a quiet corner in the library. Her favorites are love stories, especially those in epic tales, in which love and passion defy cold reason, cruel logic and whatever else evil may be called. She knew how childish they are, and so ashamed of this hobby, she hides them under piles of difficult technical books, away from curious eyes.

With feelings and secrets to hide, Suzume is still every bit a sociable girl. Even with secrets kept, she finds it easy to get closer to others and form sincere connections using her charisma and compassion. Her hands are always ready to help her classmates and teachers. It was no surprise she was voted to be the class representative and drama club’s vice president. At times her eagerness to help ends up being a nuisance to others. What's more, she expects the same helpfulness in return for her niceness. If someone she considers a friend refuses to help her in time of need, she will feel utterly betrayed.

She hates to fail what is expected of her and be seen as useless. Guilt consumes her when she couldn’t aid a friend. Lives and dies by other’s opinions, her worst nightmare is being treated like a bad person. Words of criticism have special power over her, the worse they are the angrier and guiltier she gets, which keep on torturing her for a long time, forcing the girl to better herself.

The love for her little brother and sister, the resolve to restore the clan’s honor, and a natural desire to do good, each of which is a perfectly noble reason for her ambition, but not all. They play a big part in earnest, but another part exists she often ignores and hates to admit – her competitive nature. Seeing someone superior to her in anyway burns her with envy. This sin is her drive, which truly urges her to improve and surpass the source of envies, but a sin it is nonetheless. What else could it be? It causes the normally polite, conflict-averse girl to spout slander silently, in her mind accuses her superiors baselessly, in reality, give them the cold shoulder. Although she would later feel ashamed of her attitudes, it is no doubt she has no control over the burning jealousy right when it's lit.

"Do not let your mistakes weight you down, acknowledge them and move on. That is the privilege of being human."

[Full Name] Yuuki Karasawa

[Alias] Student Council President

[Grade] 2nd year student

[Arcana] Judgement

[Date of Birth] September 23

[Age] 17

[Appearance Information]
Yuuki is a young man of slightly above average height, with a slim, muscular build and fair skin tone. He has long brown hair, that is always well-groomed and occasionally sweeps back it when gets serious. His green eyes, alongside his signature smile helps him maintain his charming and kind demeanor befitting that of the student council president.
[Personality]
Yuuki comes across as a charismatic, kind and polite individual among his peers. Always willing to help the people who he believes are in need. Although he takes his position very seriously he is not afraid to bend to rules to get what he deems as “fair” results. Despite his social personality, he tries to stay distant from most of his friends so that they do not affect his judgement and decisions. He feels heavily conflicted by this at times since he does desire close connections but fears that it will compromise his integrity of being truly “fair”.
However, he hides a very extreme judgmental side towards people who commit despicable acts such as bullying and using their power for selfish desires. Unlike previous presidents, he is not afraid to challenge the authority of teachers and is very forthcoming with his distaste of nepotism that is rampant in this school. Additionally, he is also shrewd and cunning, willing to abuse loopholes and technicalities to achieve what is “fair”.
To keep up his image of an ideal student, he works hard in both his academic and extracurricular activities, often coming at least within the top ten of his grade. Besides his student council duties, he is also a regular member of the boxing club where he had formed a somewhat one-sided rivalry with another student.
[Personal Background]
In his middle school years, Yuuki was a delinquent through and through, prone into getting fights and arguments with just about everyone. But everything changed after his younger brother almost lost his life due to his cavalier attitude towards everything. Although his brother did not suffer any long lasting injuries, he did feel responsible for them, leading to eventual change in outlook and personality.
His first year of high school was rough since a lot of his negative reputation had carried over, leading to many students and teachers dismissing him as another delinquent. It wasn't until one of his seniors took him under his wing that his reputation gradually improved. He spent most of his first year working hard to prove himself to the teachers and students around him, staying out of trouble and qualifying for the regional boxing competition. Eventually, during the second year he ran for the position of vice president under the guidance of his senior who had already graduated. Throughout his first year, he had managed to gain some goodwill from his colleagues through his efforts for the school and students, allowing him to narrowly secure his victory for the election. It wasn't long until the newly elected president had to step down due to personal reasons, leading to him taking up the mantle. He saw this as an opportunity to finish what is predecessor could not. To create a school environment free from corruption and dishonesty. Recently his grades have started to decline as he is increasing the crackdown efforts on disciplinary cases.

"Don't live your life making excuses for yourself"

[Full Name]
Kichiro Okunishi

[Alias]
Chiro

[Grade]
Second

[Arcana]
Moon

[Date of Birth]
March, 13

[Age]
17

[Appearance Information]

Kichiro puts a lot of time into his appearance, has a great taste in fashion, and tries his best to keep his hair in check. He stands slightly under six feet, clocking in at 5'10. Kichiro keeps himself in shape and is at a healthy 177lbs, his parents make sure he maintains that too. He has really pale blue eyes and med-short length grayish hair. His hair lacks any real shine because of the kind of dye he used, however in the right light it can be a little shiny. He owns two fancy watches and swaps them out from time to time One being silver, the other black, both are gifts from his adoptive parents.

[Personality]

Relaxed, but still depressed as ever, Kichiro seems like a regular Highschool sad boy. However, no one else is allowed to be sad but him when he's around. He gives good advice, and yet, doesn't take his own. He's not stupid, but he's also not crazy smart. Kichiro will feign optimism just to keep his friends happy and not be what he believes himself to be; a burden. Kichiro seems somewhat aware of this and will have days where he's optimistic and happy for real, only to crash and return to normal a few days later. He's aware of his state of mind, but at this point, he doesn't have the energy or sees a reason to make an effort to change himself for the time being.

Kichiro can seem like a jerk sometimes with how much he's trying to push his friends to better themselves. Not because he says anything rude, he just really REALLY pushes people to be better. He frequently says things like "If I can do it, you certainly can." backhanding himself but building the other person up. In dire situations, he'll still try to keep his friends optimistic. When things get down to the wire he'll panic and make rash decisions, seriously considering whether to put himself or others first.

Kichiro lives under the ideology of "Forgive but don't Forget". He's slow at trusting, and even if he gets lied to or played, if he still sees genuine good then he'll still affiliate with the person. Not everything can be forgiven, however. He's proud of himself for becoming the person he is today, despite his biological parents not being all that responsible or great in his eyes.

[Personal Background]

Kichiro's biological parents had him when they were extremely young and weren't in the proper financial situation to take care of him, he was put up for adoption pretty quickly, and because of how young he was, he was also adopted pretty quickly. Two kind Ladies adopted Kichiro and lovingly raised him in an extremely positive environment. They taught him to be open-minded and to never worry about fulfilling someone's expectations as they loved him for who he was. They spoil him, but they also aren't pushovers.

Kichiro fell into a depressive slump when he went to look for his biological parents and found out that they had split up. Not only that, his biological father wound up in prison on several charges. His biological father was still in prison at the time of the earthquake in 2011, and he ended up being killed in the building's partial collapse. Kichiro didn't attend the funeral.

He still searches for his biological mother, with the help of his two adoptive ones. Hoping his mother might be a better story than his father. After searching for the good half of a year, Kichiro is starting to lose hope. Maybe one day he'll find his biological mother?

((I'll keep it brief I'm already super overdue, but I'm also going to RP out more of his story so it's like a social link.
Will prob post more here soonish though.))

How important is that male-female ratio? Just curious. I know some people try to half and half it. I ask this even though I'm making a female.

Also, do we need to follow the way you have the cs set up? I haven't been on this site in so long, I can't remember much about the whole bbcode thing. Or at least not enough to copy that. Figured I'd ask before I try my hand at making it look nice.

It doesn't have to be equal, though I don't want an influx of one gender and then none of the other.

All you gotta do is copy and paste the sheet! Then it should be fine. :)

"The only path I'll follow is the one inside myself."

[Full Name]

Akira Koga[-D'Angelo]
[Alias]

Halfbreed. (Derisive.)
[Grade]

Third.
[Arcana]

Chariot.
[Date of Birth]

7/7
[Age]

18.
[Appearance Information]

At six feet tall, Akira typically stands above his peers. His unnatural height is one of the many clear tells that he's not entirely Japanese, something that time and time again has gotten him into less than favorable situations. Blond hair, blues eyes -- another mark against him in the society he lives in. He's lean and fit -- never able to quite bulk up how he wanted to, but still the time he's spent exercising and working out is apparent. There's a scar on the right side of his neck -- it goes from the bottom of his ear down to his collarbone; it holds a story he has no real interest in telling or sharing with anyone. His attire? Simplistic. Black boots, shirts and pants -- after all, he doesn't have to worry about any fashion faux pas if he plays it safe and applies as little effort as possible, right? The only thing that stands out are his coat and his gloves; they were his fathers. Summer, Winter, Autumn, Spring -- doesn't matter, he's wearing them. It could be 90 degrees out and you'd still struggle to persuade him to take off his coat. He's a bit more sensible about the gloves. They're important to him, though. You can take anything else he owns away from him, but not the coat. The only way you can achieve that is by prying it off of his cold, dead body.
[Personality]

Akira carries a listless and almost apathetic energy to him in most situations. That's how much describe it, at least. As far as he's concerned, he's just... Whelmed. He's a calm individual -- someone who always maintains their composure in almost every conceivable situation they're placed in. Even when under pressure, it's hard to get him to crack. Because he's strong-willed and independent; he's learned to make it on his own, and to do that you have to be strong. You can't have a weak will or fold under the slightest bit of pressure; he's a diligence and his mental fortitude is nothing to scoff at. He likes to play it cool -- bad news, good news, doesn't matter; he likes to keep his tone the same. The less he diverges from his outward persona, the more he can create a false sense of predictability. The more he can lure people into believing they know him or have even the slightest clue who he is or the type of person he is.
That way he can always remain truly unpredictable.
Inwardly, Akira is a passionate soul. There's a fire that burns inside of him, something that motivates him and fills him with aspirations and dreams that he knows are unlikely. Yet, he still pursues them. He keeps his interests to himself and very rarely let's other people know. He takes pride in his art and the tags he creates; Nashiro is his canvas, but the hideout he's made is his fortress. Within his hideout, a small abandoned building not far from his home, on the upper floor of the ragged and condemned building, you can get a clear idea of who Akira is. Posters of shows and discarded wrappers of snacks and drinks; it's a forensic scene of a personality -- of a youth who's locked much of himself away behind a calm, cold veneer. The walls are adorned with a myriad of paintings, empty paint cans being the clear instrument he used for his murals.
Akira is a person who desires freedom, but from what he doesn't know. His life isn't awful -- he isn't miserable, but he frequently feels as though he's suffocating under the weight of reality itself. This is something that's reflected in his murals -- broken chains, clear blue skies. He wants freedom from everything; he wants to be [himself]. He wants to use his father's name -- he doesn't want to hide himself away. He wants peace to the part of him that despises society itself; both societies that he knows can't accept either part of him. Liberation is what he desires, no matter the cost.
[Personal Background]

An American father, a Japanese mother. His father met his mother when traveling abroad, not long after graduating college. He was searching for a place to be -- wanting to escape the confines of his country and to experience something new, different. To engross himself in another country and learn more about the lives of others and the way they lived. England, Japan and Russia were all in consideration, but he'd have better business opportunities in Japan so that was where he found himself. Fitting in wasn't easy and it wasn't nearly as luxurious as many of his peers attempted to make it out to be. Perhaps as a visitor, but as someone attempting to actually integrate into its society? Hah.
His father met his mother at their shared place of work -- a tech company. Both on the lower rungs of the company, they were able to find a kinship. They both had an interest in the other's background, and very soon his father found himself in a friend group of coworkers. A small, handful of people -- none notably successful or prosperous within the company, but they were able to find joy in working alongside one another. Years passed, some departing while others stayed; some found success and rose through the ranks, while others remained stationary, complacent with their station. After three years, Akira's parents married. After two years, he was born.
His early, formative years were normal, by all rights. Nothing out of the ordinary. He went to school, made friends, found himself on the receiving end of bullying due to his appearance and frequently found himself in trouble whenever he hit another child or engaged in schoolyard roughhousing. He never got in trouble with his parents, though. They understood that he was defending himself, never initiating the fights but always quick to reprimand him and tell him there was another way. He didn't have to fight. He didn't have to use violence.
He was ten when the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred. He was ten when everything went to shit. His family's life was uprooted, their home and much of their neighborhood being destroyed entirely. They were forced to relocate to Nashiro in hopes of starting anew, but then the invasion happened. It was a farce of a war -- a one-sided affair that ended almost as quickly as it started. Then? After that? Things got worse. A Japanese woman was married to an invader. They were in a new place and no one could understand how long the two had been married. No one could understand that Akira's father had nothing to do with it and decried and hated what had happened. Even if they could, there was tangible doubt that they would even care. For two years, they were harassed by members of a local gang and their quality of life declined.
One day, his father left home and never returned. There was a finality to his goodbye and the man left Akira with his coat and gloves -- two things that he carried with him from when he first moved from America. After that day, they were left in relative solitude; the troublemakers who frequently assaulted and harassed them leaving them alone. After that, Akira changed. He tightened up. Most of his childhood jubilation ended early -- he was forced to grow up fast. After school, which was made worse by the invasion (teachers and students both treating him with derision because of what he was), he began to take on odd jobs -- delivering packages, taking out trash, washing dishes for smaller restaurants in the area. Anything to help his mother. No matter what vitriol was sent his way, he ignored it. He grit his teeth, kept his mouth shut and just worked through the resentment.
Eventually, his mother had him stop using his father's name when they moved neighborhoods, going to a different part of the city so she'd be closer to her new job. It was something Akira hated; something that hurt him deeply. But he didn't say anything. He understood. He couldn't really hide his heritage, though. It did seem like, when he only used his mother's surname, more people were a bit more willing to turn a blind eye. Still, nothing really changed. The years went by and people began to get used to the reality they lived in; the hatred became easier to ignore or suppress.
When Akira enrolled in Hyakusawa Academy -- he made a vow to himself. Keep his head down and get through it all. He didn't partake in any club activities -- aside from a brief membership in the boxing club during his second year, though he typically spent his after school time on his own extracurricular activities -- and he merely completed assignments as they were given. Despite his general demeanor and delinquent-esque mannerisms and appearance, he was a quiet, studious type. He wasn't foreign to schoolyard brawls, however. It all depended on the comment made or how far he was pushed and, eventually, he would lash out. He continued to take on odd jobs after school, doing menial tasks to make spare change. Now in his third year, nothing has really changed. He's maintained his status as a veritable social outcast, and he's continued to keep his head low and stay to himself as much as possible.

For the people that still have not made a sheet, it would be wise to make guys (since we have an influx of girls)

We do? I thought you had the M/F ratio at 3:1 before. :0 If you meant it the other way around, I would have made a guy.
