This rp will be losely based in its setting on the movie Hotel Artemis that I saw last Tuesday. If you have not seen the movie, go watch it. It is very good in my opinion. If you have seen the movie, good for you and I hope you enjoyed it. As for the rp, it won't matter whether you saw it or not. I used the title Hotel Artemis only for the interest check in the hope it would gain more interest that way, the actual rp will have a different Hotel name, namely Hotel Ares.
I hope you all like my idea. I am open for plot ideas or suggestions. I am available for questions. As mentioned in the rules I will not take down any reservations.
As soon as I have three people that are interested, I will work on the CS and setting this roleplay up further.

Rule One: While on the premises, no fighing with or killing other patients
Rule Two: No disrespectful words or actions allowed against the Hotel staff
Rule Three: No guns or any type of weapon permitted through the gate
Rule Four: Membership must be paid for, full and in advance
Rule Five: Prior but lapsed members will not be admitted

Rule Nine: If a member is found to have compromised, or led to comprise of the location of a Hotel, membership will be revoked

Those are the rules of Hotel Ares and you better respect them or you are out of a membership and your arse is booted out onto the streets.
Hotel Ares, like its sister hotels, is a hospital for criminals. Whether you are some hot shot hitman, a cunning mafia boss, a rich arms dealer or a sly drugslord, it doesn't matter. Within Hotel Ares the outside world stays outside. You come in to get your wounds fixed and you check out as soon as you are steady to go on the street again. The doctors and nurses may not be all gentle, sweet and friendly, but they are professionals, won't ask questions and won't call the cops...

Tokyo, 2048. Hotel Ares is thriving as always. It is one of the bigger Hotels with twelve rooms available. Membership is 1500 euros per month or 15.000 euros for a year, just like every other Hotel. Chips will be activated when a member has paid and deactivated when their membership has been cancelled by nonpayment or misbehaviour. At all Hotels, each room is the same in set up. It has a small lounge, a bedroom, bathroom and a medical chamber. Only the key holder and the medical staff has direct access to any of the Hotelrooms. The Hotel further has an entertain room that is available for everyone. It has a bar, tv, pool table and whatever else that is needed to be entertained. Furthermore the medical staff each have a tablet that tracks the movement of each member within the Hotel and outside of the Hotel (within a 5 mile radius) so they can prepare for emergencies. While there is an unwritten rule to stay for a maximum of five days at each Hotel, members are allowed to hop between Hotels, as long as they are wounded upon entering the Hotel and they pay membership to said Hotel. Around the world there are a total of twelve Hotels, with at the top Hotel Zeus in Rome, the first Hotel ever created.
Technology wise, things will be slightly advanced from the current (2018) available technology. Most household devices are voice activated, mobile phones do still exist but they have hologram options and can be connected to lenses so vision can be shared. There are still not flying cars, all vehicles are however electronic. Medical wise there have been a lot advances as well. Organ transplants are no longer needed, since they can just be 3D printed. Medicins are far more effective and most surgeries are done by computer to eliminate human mistakes. Human supervision is however still needed.Hotel Zeus - Rome, Italy

The Asian underground has of course several subgroups, like the Yakuza in Japan, the Geondal in South-Korea, the Triads in China etc. All of these subgroups have their own groups and territories, but that all doesn't matter. Above them are the Big Five, who are completely untouchable. Or so people thought. The Asian Big Five member has died and that is all that is known for sure. It isn't certain whether he died before or at the Hotel. It isn't sure if his death was intentional, self-inflicted or accidental. There are rumors he was poisoned by his own son, there are rumors he couldn't live with all his own regrets, there are rumors he was the ultimate goal of an assassins, who was paid by his colleague Big Five members.
No matter what the truth is, it is only known by his doctor and the doctor will keep the secret to his grave. However this causes a huge shift of powers and possibilities for a lot of criminal organisations outside of the Hotel. Plus a great tension within the Hotel, for anyone and everyone could be his possible killer or have nothing to do at all with his death. The rules of the Hotel are clear... but will they be broken in a time of such great uncertainties?The Big Five is a group of criminal overlords. They make the rules for the whole underworld worldwide. Everyone knows them, fears them and respects them. The Big Five come to action when international crimi al codes are broken or when trouble between gangs goes out of hand. They are more or less the kings and at the same time lawyers of the underworld.

0. Above all of my rules and expectations, of course the Iwaku rules stand. These shall not be broken in my rp or I will have little mercy and report you immediately.
1. I will allow a maximum of 18 characters and max three characters per player.
2. I expect all of you to be respectful towards me and each other and to be open minded.
3. All races, sexualities, and what all not is allowed.
4. Killing or instant hitting or god moding or powerplaying is not allowed, unless you have the explicit consent.
5. I am the GM and I make the rules. If there is a problem, you come to me. If you have a question, you come to me. I have the last word on everything.
6. I expect some quality. So that means at least two paragraphs post, with decent (and proofread) content. I expect you to do some background research on whatever criminal organisation your character is a member from and I expect things to be kept somewhat realistic. Posting frequency that is expected is once per two weeks at least.
7. I expect people to communicate with each other and with me, about their availability, their characters, expectations and what all not.
8. Just like the Rooms of the Hotel can not be booked, spots to this rp can NOT be reserved. First come, first serve.
9. Unless your character is familiar with another character, your character will be known as miss/mister Room name.
10. Despite the dark and heavy theme this will not be a red hearted rp, so keep that in mind. Also romance and sex is NOT the objective of this rp. If it happens, good, but keep the Iwaku rules in mind.
11. The Big Five members will be NPCs. However if anyone has some ideas on them, feel free to discuss things with me. If I really really love your idea, you may claim that Big Five member as your personal NPC. If you want to play a direct family member of a Big Five member, you have to discuss the idea with me first. I will NOT accept this in anyway afterwards.
