Horror Island Nightmare

Kristine smiled, maybe she could enjoy this cruise a bit after all. Suddenly she realised that she weren't going to use the girl, so why was she so happy about getting to know Billie? Kristine didn't understand what was going on, she never liked to be with people that weren't of any use to her, but still she had started to like this useless girls company. Maybe she had gotten sunstroke or something like that.

"Great" She said and started to walk towards the dinning hall, "So, why are you on this cruise?" She asked, trying to start a conversation.

"I'm an empath and happened to be around when the tickets were being sold. There was this one girl who was so excited to by a ticket, that I channeled her feelings and bought one for myself." Billie said with a sigh. She didn't know why she suddenly just told Kristine about her powers. It was strange... She felt something she felt once before, but couldn't think what it was at that moment.

"Ooh, so you're a empath." She said in a bit curious tone "I'm a shapeshifter" She continued, she didn't know if that's something she should tell her but if she got to know about Billies powers then it was just fair if Billie got to know about hers. And she would probably get to know it anyway even if Kristine didn't tell her now.
"I came here to get away from home, it was boring there and I needed to get out. Not because it's so much better here, but it's at least different than at home." She said.

"Yeah, at least it's different." Billie agreed. "Being away from home for once is kind of nice. I used to just lock myself in my basement because of all the emotions getting to me..." She trailed off, realizing she just told a stranger something more personal about herself. She mentally slapped herself for letting her do that. But there seemed to be something about Kristine that she felt comfortable enough to tell her anyway. It was, again, strange.

Kristine giggled a litle when Kristine started to tell her about her past, it wasn't to be mean, she just thought it was funny how they started to open up to eachother when they met just a moment ago. "Must have been hard, not being able to take contact with anyone" Kristine said and got surprised over that she actually felt sorry for the girl. She never felt sorry for anyone.

"I can stand being around others...As long as I don't make physical contact with them." Billie said, feeling nervous about telling Kristine this, yet not at all at the same time. "Their emotions take over and I will feel just what they feel...want what they want..." She said, looking down a little as they walked for the cafeteria on the ship. "That's how I ended up here. That girl accidentally bumped into me and felt her emotions for a good ten minutes. Before I knew it I had a nonrefundable ticket for this cruise..." Billie said, trailing off again, but just a little.

Kristine looked at the girl, so that was why she didn't want to shake her hand before. "That must be aweful sometimes.. I mean, if you want what the other person want and does something you really shouldn't do before getting your own feelings back, what if something worse happen than this cruise." She said, concerned about Billie. Well if she always was locked in then she wouldn't have to worry about that outcome but that she locked herself in was also a bit worrying.

They got close to the cafeteria, they could now see it in the end of the hallway they were walking in.

"That's why I prefer to stay in my house. But my mom wanted me to try and get out more often. Because of that...I'm here, and something worse could happen to me one day..." Billie said, shivering at a thought that crossed her mind. If someone who just wanted...well the thing that is on most guys' minds when they get older... then she'd lose her virginity without wanting to in the first place. Horny people were one of her biggest fears, because if they touched her, she'd want the same thing. And she was sure they would waste no time in getting that far.

Kristine felt like she wanted to hug the girl but at the same time she couldn't do it because it would probably hurt Billie more than helping her. Unconsiously she took up her hand to pat the girl on the head trying to comfort her but realise halfway that she couldn't do that either. She then realised that she had her gloves in a pocket. She fast took one glove up and discreetely putting it on behind her back, her powers shouldn't work if she had clothing over her skin.

She patted Billie gently on the head with her glove covered hand, hoping she would feel better. Kristine didn't really know what to say in this situation, which scared her a bit. She had never met anyone that had been able to make her stunned.

Immediately she noticed she used a glove to touch her. Billie looked up at Kristine, feeling a bit shocked the girl would try to comfort her. The touch of another, even if they used a glove, made her feel better. Sometimes words weren't enough, and actions certainly spoke more than words ever could. Kristine's little gesture of kindness filled Billie with joy, and she was tempted to hug her. Sadly, she held herself back. It was rather hard to do so though. Billie wished that she could expand her shield, and make it so it wasn't just mental, but a physical barrier as well. The day she could do that would be the day she could touch someone else without having their emotions take over her own.

"Thank you..." She finally said, feeling her cheeks burn with a blush.

"My room is just a quick walk down stairs, then we make a left on the second floor of the ship's lounge and we're there." he said, holding out his hand to escort her. "You might want to draw in your features, just in case we pass by a few others along the way." he concerned. The boy was intrigued with the girl's features and wanted to expierience them further, but the concern of the storm was a bit unyeilding to his mind.

Kristine blushed when Billie thanked her, why did she blush? It wasn't like she had said or done anything embarrasing. Kristine couldn't understand her own thoughts at the moment, why was she so weird all of a sudden. They walked in to the cafeteria, for the moment there wasn't that many people in there, it made Kristine relieved thinking that it would feel better for Billie that way.
"So, what do you want to eat?" She asked, trying to escape the weird atmosphere they had created.

She sighed with a smile as her cat left her body. She took his arm and allowed him to escort her. gawking the whole way. None of this looked like her side of the ship. It was so beautiful. So . . . So . . . high class. She never had seen anything like this before.

"You seem dazzled, have you ever lived like this before?" he questioned. They were nearly half way down the hall to his room when he noticed her expression. This side of the ship must have been knew to her, or she'd never been around fancy items. Three side windows down and two rooms, was Richard's room. "Here we are..." he eased, as he opened the door and escorted her in, he sat her in the nearest seat and he layed on the bed.

"No i was born on a farm and we just made it threw." She was hesitant he wouldn't want to be around her and make her leave. She quietly thanked him for the seat and watched him lay down on the bed. "So can i see yours now?" She asked with slight excitement in her voice.

Billie saw Kristine's blush, and blushed a little herself. "Um...I think I'll just have some salad." She said, glancing to Kristine and the other stuff in the cafeteria shyly. Why was she acting this way? It wasn't all that much like her. Billie lowered her barrier a little, just enough to see what Kristine was feeling right now.

She wanted to point out to Billie that it wasn't good to eat that litle, but she stopped herself, she wasn't her mother why should she care about that? But somehow she cared anyway even though she shouldn't do that. Kristine went to the buffet that was placed out on a big table for the guests. She tried her best to find something to say but she didn't find anything good to say, if it wasn't going to be a storm then she could have said 'what a nice weather we have today' but that one was screwed now. She blushed once more when she thought of how embarrasing it was that she actually even thought about using that sentence as an icebreaker.

"We really didn't have any luck with the weather" She said, disappointed in herself for using such a lame topic. She started to put food on her plate, she didn't really notice what she took but she didn't really care for what she ate so it didn't matter.

It was a bad idea for Billie to lower her barrier. She didn't feel just Kristine's feelings, but the feelings of everyone in the room. Billie quickly raised her barrier again, but now had a headache. Too many emotions for her to deal with in one place. It made her uncomfortable to keep the barrier up all the time. It weakened her strength. But all the emotions she would get if she lowered her barrier would just overwhelm her mind.

Hearing Kristine speak, Billie looked over to her. "The weather?" She asked, having to think about it for a few seconds. "Oh, right... Yeah it's too bad that a storms coming our way." She said, taking a plate for herself. The headache was messing with her appetite, like it always did. Remembering a few of Kristine's feelings, Billie took some food anyway. Just some salad like she said earlier, and a roll.

Billie seemed to be in deep thoughts, once she heard Kristines question she had to think about the answer for a litle while. What was she thinking about? Was something troubling her? Why did Kristine even care? She had never cared for anyone before. So why start now? She took her plate with food and went to a table close by where no one sat, she thought it would feel better for Billie if they sat at a table without any people. Why did she think about her feelings?

She sat down and waited for Billie to take a seat.

The dizziness started to kick in. The rush of emotions she got earlier...it was just too much for her right now, given that she was a little weak. Billie saw Kristine sit down and made her way to the table, being careful not to accidentally touch anyone along the way. She breathed a small sigh of relief once she sat down, glad that she was able to avoid any contact so far.

Billie glanced up to Kristine, then down to her small plate of salad. She really didn't feel like eating anything now, but she knew she would regret it later. So she picked up her fork and stabbed at the salad to get some on it. It was lightly coated in Italian dressing, one of Billie's favorites, yet it just didn't seem appetizing. She just looked at it for a while, then moved her gaze up to Kristine.

She felt like she should say something, yet she couldn't figure out what. Billie felt some feelings of love when she lowered the barrier, but from who they came from was a mystery. They were feelings for her, and if they were from Kristine, then Billie wouldn't know what to think. A small part of her was saying that she was falling in love with this girl, yet the rest of her couldn't see it yet.
