Name Sean Grant
Age 16
Year 2
Gender Male
Appearance
large2_zps09b75b63.jpg

Personality
Sean is passive about most things with the exception being his own ideals. How he sees the world is that people will do them and he will do him. Those that try to look down at Sean fail to pierce the "aura of not caring" he emits. If anyone ever did manage to break the absolute defense he has implemented in his personality then he will resort to anger. He is proud in his ability to fight and is never afraid to take an enemy on. Though, he is hot headed it does not mean he cannot resort to words. In his most heated moments Sean is capable of keeping his cool and talking, albeit angrily and probably with some amount of vulgarity, but nonetheless talking. He is a naturally smart and creative kid which is helpful in many aspects of life, but in the classroom, where those traits can only be strengthened, he refuses to show his skills. He doesn't deal with authority too well and can be classed as a "troublemaker". However, Sean manages to deal with any type of physical labor with no issue making it a weak punishment for his personality type.

[spoili]
Demonic Consequence!
Sean can enter what is known as murderous intent. In this state he takes on berserker rage ignoring pain, but still susceptible to damage, but also not truly enraged. While the true Sean is lost in thought about this or that the murderous one begins to take focus of the situation and results to violence no matter the situation. The true fruit of Edispu's and his teachers' training is shown in this state.

Sean's Will Power!
When Sean is not in murderous intent his reasoning and logic are his strongest weapons opposed to his brawn. Sean is much smarter and more understanding when he is focused.

History
Sean grew up playing baseball on the "fields" of Loxdon. All of the kids on his block commented on his unbelievable swing and said it would take him places. Sean never did care what they had to say because he knew exactly where he was going; Horizon Academy was the only place for Sean. Loxdon was in need of heroes, it always was, but then more than ever. For a year of Sean's life a demon had been terrorizing the men of his town from the shadows. No man was safe at night and none knew if they were its next target.

Everyday a new rumor would pop up about a sighting of the monster and authorities and hunters alike would be sent to investigate. This earned Sean a curfew and most kids on his block. Normally, they'd play on their open decks for hours, but that demon put an end to that. It began to feel personal for Sean and he developed a natural hatred for demons.

Eventually, Sean's annoyance overpowered his reason and he snuck out to play ball. There was no one out of course so he had to play by himself in the dark and he was fine doing so. To him it was sending a message to the demon that he wasn't afraid and the demon picked up on it. It could only keep low for so long and the hunters were getting closer and closer to catching him. So, the demon dropped his metal rod to grab the child's attention and lured him into a trap. The demon's trap was simple: the child would naturally investigate the noise to prove his bravery and sate his curiosity, the demon would then come in and stage a fight, and finally leading to a pact.

Sean could never forget this night. The minute he picked up the metal rod he found it turned into a new shiny bat and then a rabid dog attacked him. Without a second to think Sean fought the dog until he noticed its tail and it stopped fighting to introduce itself as a demon. Sean jumped at it again and they resumed fighting. When they came to a breaking point Sean discovered something that turned the tide of battle for him and allowed him to pin the demon with his new weapon.

While pinned Sean was able to make a pact that favored both of them. The conditions of the pact said that if Sean were to die without meeting Edispu's quota of souls while at Horizon then his soul belonged to Edispu. However, there was another catch; if Sean failed to even make it to Horizon then his soul would be Edispu's as well. From that moment on Sean studied and trained hard. With help from Edispu he learned how to fully utilize Soul Reaper and Soul Fire. Eventually, Sean made it to Horizon and no longer had to worry about the one condition of his pact. It has been a year since he arrived now and he has been on a total of ten missions.

Weapon Specialty
Baseball Bat

Weapons
Atomizing_Bat.png

Edispu's Soul Reaper is an unbreakable bat that exists on both plains (Gaia and Astral) and was lost on Gaia when the war first originated. Edispu's weapon is made to fit the beholder and when the child Sean stumbled upon it the weapon was made to fit the unsuspecting grade-schooler as an aluminum bat. In addition to its immortality it also has the ability to reap the souls of the dead, change into different melee weapons, and act as a magic carpet with the help of soul flame.

Demons
cute_monster_design_by_EerieZombie.jpg

Name:
Edispu

Personality:
Edispu is always hungry (being the demon meant to eat all the souls of mankind in a day can make you like that) and it tends to make him a little grumpy. As a result he comes across rude to new people and uncaring of Sean, when he depends on the boy and his bat for food.

Interaction and Appearance:
Edispu's body is the dog as seen above, but he stands with the anatomy of a human or dog if he so chooses. The dog has no vocal ability. As a result the hypnotized soul of a man named Morgan Freeman resides in the skull and speaks at the same time of his thoughts. Meaning Edispu cannot have a private thought. He cannot be seen by humans who do not have pacts or access to the Astral plane.

Powers and Abilities:
Edispu has the ability to breath what is called soul fire. Soul fire's strength is dependent on the amount of souls Edispu has collected, which by now is numerous.

Edispu can also hijack the memories of souls making it easy for him to interrogate and get his way.

Edispu's body is intangible on Gaia, but a weapon like his Soul Reaper or the like, that exists on both plains or just the astral can hit him. He can control this tangibility at will. A demon however can touch him, hit him, etc. no matter where he lies.

Edispu's teeth can bite through anything and can exist at will on the Gaian plain.

Edispu's skull can be worn like a helmet to protect him.

Edispu can see a person's soul, but if they live he cannot reap it because it is protected by the heavens. A demon on the gaian plane has taken over a gaian object and thus he needs a human like Sean to reap these souls.

Skills
Soul Fire: Sean can utilize soul fire, his however is dependent on Edispu's condition as it is a direct use of his soul. This fire affects all who come in contact with it, (Besides Edispu) even Sean himself. Due to its drawback Sean can only summon it via Edispu's Soul Reaper or from wrapped/protected hands.

[spoili]
Demon's Consequence!
Sean's Soul Fire ability's strength is not only determined by his Demon's condition, but his Soul's own condition. If Sean's Soul becomes too corrupt with the negative feelings any teenage boy is bound to run into, Edispu can tap deeper into Sean's soul granting him more Soul Power, but less Soul Control. His mental state greatly affects this as well.

Sean's Will Power!
Sean when normal has an excellent control of Soul Fire able to even steal Edispu's from him, but this control sacrifices the damage it does.
[/spoili]

[click spoili to see form details]

Sean can see and reap souls as well. Reaping souls allows one to carry around the souls of the dead. Nothing more. Furthermore, he is required to reap a soul. When the dead is within slicing range he must act.

  • Name: Lilith VonStahm
    Age: 17

    Gender: Female
    Year: 1

    Appearance
    date_a_live_tokisaki_kurumi_png_ver_by_sr_png-d8bemox.png

Personality: She is bipolar so she has two different personalities. She has a cute and shy personality which is out most of the time and a crazy/insane one where she will feel no mercy for others.

History: Lilith was born somewhere in the deep Alps region of Germany. She had no real parents but she was born from a mother who she put into by an angel. Of course, this meant she was one herself. Angels were only known to humans as myths, things that didn't exist. However Lilith's "parents" learned there was more to it than that. This wasn't the only special thing to Lilith, it was also her bipolarity. She basically had two people living inside her head and either of them could take control. Her nice personality was the stronger one but her evil one would take over once in a while. Now Lilith has learned to control these personalities better but still isn't the best at it. She also had some powers which are still underdeveloped and so she wanted to get stronger. One day on her 17th birthday, an angel visited them. They spoke with Lilith's parents and they agreed to send her to a special school for people like her. Humans and angels with special powers. Now, she has arrived a week later to the school. Her goals is, to make friends and become very useful to protect others.

    Weapon Specialty: Scythes

Weapons: She has a special scythe which sort of has bipolar disorder. When she hits allies with the back of it, it can heal them. If she hits an enemy with the sharp side, it will of course hurt them.

Skills: Lilith has 3 basic skills as she isn't that strong yet. The first is the passive of her sycthe which is that which I explained in the weapons section.
  • The second ability is that with the offensive part, she throws an arc of shadow at someone. It's 1.50 meters high and 0.50 meters wide.
  • The third ability is with her healing part. She throws a chain of light to an ally which then will jump over to other allies in a 3 meter radius. Lets say if someone has 100 hp, it will heal 5 per post for 4 posts.

    Miscellaneous: Nothing~ ^3^

Well finally got to make my character for this roleplay lol

oh shit this just dropped huh

How 'bout it, mind if I drop in?

@MadTsunTsun Actually, Angels in this RP are not our usual conception angels. They are more a 'Race' that has evolved in different ways, giving them wings and powers, so unfortunately, there would need to be some reaaaaaally crazy shenanigans for a Human to die and somehow be revived as an Angel

Dropping some tentative interest.

@ERode

That's fine, as we currently are as full as I'd like, though if someone decided to drop, there will be room. I'll keep your possible interest in mind

Without much knowledge on the angels, I'm not entirely sure what to put for her history..

Well I'll change the history soon then. Was kinda unclear what kind of angels it were

I apologize. They are less "Dead People" more a "Subspecies", if you will

Name: Minerva Josephine Adrigal
Age: 16
Year: Third Year
Gender: Female
Appearance:
ZdO5477.png

Personality: Minerva is quite snide and rude, most of the time. She's always got some cutting remark to let loose about someone or something, and never fails to show off her sarcasm. She does have a sweet spot, though. Not that anyone's managed to find out what it is. Minerva is also very proud. She knows what she's capable of and she tends to take every opportunity to rub it in.

Secretly, though, what Minerva wants is recognition. She's a bitter child at heart, frustrated at how her hard work and "blue blood" hasn't actually paid off. While this hasn't made her neither quiet nor a loner, it has made her prone to occasional bouts of depression and ranting.

History: Minerva is a figure skater, not that that means much in this day and age. What does mean quite a bit in this day and age is her lineage: Minerva can trace her history back to the first days of the flying city. In other words, she's nobility. More or less. Turns out, that doesn't mean much, either. Doesn't stop her from bragging about it. And getting no results for her trouble. Getting into the school and graduating was supposed to be a last-ditch attempt for fame, glory, and of course, recognition, but not even the Demons want to side with her. Yet.

Weapon Specialty: Scythe

Weapons: One scythe, multiple knives, and a small derringer pistol for emergencies. The scythe is enchanted against deterioration and the derringer can hold enchanted ammunition, usually against elemental enemies. The knives are all unenchanted.

Demons: None.

Skills: None.

Miscellaneous: Minerva is self-taught. Her grace and form are a little sub-par, even on the ice, but the agility she gets from practicing day in and day out helps her immensely in a fight.

How does humanity work at this point? Culture stuff and the like.

For Horizon,

I imagine it's like Early 1900's. However, quality of living is good, it's just that people don't have tvs, and game systems. Government is a little stranger, as they are now more under "rule" of the Heavens, nut they are allowed plenty of say in what's happening. The Ruling force is a group of Archangels which are the Divine Council. Head of House Aether, Samuel, is a part of the council. The world is a modern world, but normal commodities are not as easy to come by. Technology, and all resources associated with it is mostly being applied to the war at hand. As such, people have been forced to live a simpler life. Most have grown up like this, as it has been several generations since the Earth was lost. Evidence of older cultures can vary from family to family and place to place.

For Safe Zones,

This is mostly the same, though things are more rigidly guarded, and curfews are often implemented. There aren't many Angels here, and those that are here are likely there for guarding the zone. There are a few differenced for some of the Zones though,

Fort Bismark: Here technology is more often implemented in everyday life. It is almost always dark inside, being an enclosed fortress. It is lit entirely by lanterns. It has a very steampunk feel to it.

Kinich: This is not a civilian zone. This section is almost entirly used for military. There are residencies here, but it's a lot like a military city.

Using my old CS from the original thread if that's alright, woo.

Name

Beate Acker

Age

16 years old

Year

3

Gender

Female

Appearance

zsCPCaz.png

Personality

"I see. Understood."

Beate is something of a soft-spoken individual. She rarely displays deep emotion or makes many visible expressions, making her almost resemble a doll or something of the sort, though it is possible to get a good reaction out of her if you try hard enough. She seems to work without any particular passion and can be described as somewhat introverted, mostly keeping to herself.

However, deep down, Beate has a good amount of heart. When the situation calls for it, she can be fairly kind and caring, but makes sure to maintain a level of professionalism when doing so, seemingly easily able to keep whatever personal feelings and emotions she has about anything out of the way. Some could say that she doesn't understand emotions, while others might argue that she simply forgot, similar to how some would say she is shy, while others might say she comes off as cold and aloof. Perhaps only Beate knows what is correct about her, but even then, maybe not.

Little do others, and possibly even Beate herself know, however, she also possesses a sort of death drive that makes her subconsciously desire death. Self-destruction. Devolution into nothingness. As even Beate does not fully understand this herself, it is a phenomena that is difficult to describe in great detail. She does not actively seek out death, but more like she is driven by death, and she would possibly be content with dying, especially if it had a meaning, like to save others, defeating a powerful enemy, et cetera. Like with her usual quiet demeanor, it can be speculated that this death drive may have originated as a result of her backstory, but who can say for sure?

History

"It hurts. It hurts. It hurts. It hurts."

Born to a mother who did not want her and left the family before long, Beate was raised in Loxdon by her single father and nobody else. Little can be said in detail of her past, but the most significant event in her past was when she was younger, presumably younger than ten years old at the time. She was brought to the workplace of her father's, an old mining facility used to gather minerals and resources, on a whim one day, before a horde of demons would suddenly arrive and attack, the chaos causing the place to cave in and fall apart. Her father was killed in the event, and Beate lost the use of her left arm, left leg, and right foot, her body parts being replaced with prosthetics. It can be inferred that the trauma of the event caused Beate to forget most of her past other than the major events, as well as her emotions.

With no one else in her life to care for her, Beate ended up applying to Horizon. Though some would say her motive was to exact revenge on those who had taken her father from her, in reality, it is because Beate finds no great inherent purpose in her life and that it has lost direction, reasoning that if she would make her own purpose in life, it would be something like this.

And so she chose her fate.

Sometime after, she would come into contact with a peculiar little demon called Zauberer. In Beate's eyes, it was hardly a demon worth noticing, given his small size and relative harmlessness. However, the little demon took an interest in Beate, claiming that she was interesting and worth following around, which puzzled Beate, who was aware of her own condition where others viewed her as not exactly the most exciting person. Zauberer found a seemingly uninteresting person to be interesting, and in return, Beate initially found him, a peculiar, interesting little creature to be boring and not worth noticing.

Eventually, the demon would goad Beate into forming a pact after demonstrating his surprising power, as well as stating that "she could use a friend to guide her through the world."

Her sudden change of mind was surprisingly easy in Zauberer's personal opinion.

Weapon Specialty

Spear

Weapons

"Arise, Gungnir."

Gungnir - The spear that she wields. Representing power and strength, it is far stronger than it looks, and just as fast too. Gungnir is able to create "ripples," which when stabbed inside something or someone, creates a shockwave. To elaborate and give an example, if she were to stab Gungnir into the ground, she could release an energy pulse that results in a shockwave. If she were to utilize this on a person, stabbing into them and releasing a "ripple," results can vary depending on how much energy Beate chooses to release, ranging from causing them to fly into the nearest wall or even kill them.

It is also far stronger than an average spear, able to flip over heavy objects and stab through hard material. It can also be detached into two pieces and used as batons, each baton named Gae Dearg and Gae Buidhe respectively. Finally, she can also detach the spear blade by itself and wielding it like a makeshift dagger, while the rest of the weapon becomes like a simple staff.

Demons

"Hmhm, don't judge a book by its cover. It is as Shakespeare says! Though I be but little, I am fierce!"

NecoArcChaosBG.png

Powers

Despite looking fairly weak, Zauberer is surprisingly strong. He is an enigmatic figure, claiming that even his fellow demons are puzzled by his existence. He is shown to be able to lift up to at least three thousand pounds, move and react at around transonic speeds, and other crazy physical abilities. All in all, just a generally crazy strong demon. Zauberer is also able to copy abilities that he witnesses and can use them in a manner less than potent than the original user, though with all the powers he's seen over the years, at this point, he prefers using his simple, easy to remember fisticuffs. Who knows for sure the full extent of what this crazy cat can do?

Personality

Zauberer is shown to be a fairly eccentric individual. He is somewhat irritable, yet is also capable of being as cool as a cucumber. Like a living contradiction, he can be mean one minute and kind the next, shallow one moment and perceptive the next, etc. He claims that he only pretends to be shallow and whatnot, but sometimes, Beate has her doubts.

One thing that is consistent, however, is that despite all the energy that he has going for him, Zauberer is fairly lazy and apathetic, letting others deal with their own problems, as he claims he will live happy as long as he has a consistent food supply.

Skills

"Do you mind if I... borrow something?"

Superhuman attributes - Beate possesses superhuman strength and speed. So far, the strongest she has been seen is being able to inflict attacks that carry the force of over a thousand joules, making her strength decently above a heavyweight boxer at her strongest, and is also able to lift up to about five hundred pounds. She is also able to, at the fastest, move at up to a little over a hundred miles per hour on foot, given enough momentum to work with, and react accordingly as well. However, her stamina remains only a little above the average human, meaning she cannot use the full extent of her powers without tiring out fairly quickly.

Copy - Self-explanatory. For a limited amount of time, Beate is able to use the powers of others, though with many conditions. For one, like with Zauberer, when she uses the copied power, it is slightly weaker than the power of the original user. For example, if she copies from a person who can teleport forty yards away, she might only be able to teleport thirty yards away, though it all varies. Another thing, the copying process is fragile; it cannot be resisted or else it'll be completely disrupted, meaning that the target that Beate intends to copy must actively consent to being copied, be unconscious, etc., and lastly, she may only use the borrowed power for a brief period of time, depending on how seamless the copying process was, ranging from five minutes to forty minutes.

Miscellaneous

"How annoying..."

She's rather fond of sweets, and seems to have a love-hate relationship with cats, possibly because of Zauberer.

So no objections to my character being a noble girl?

So no objections to my character being a noble girl?
No not really. I mean, people probably won't care. Their lives would have basically reset. So her once noble family would likely need to start a new life. I think it'd be really interesting having her flaunt about her noble birth in a world that doesn't really have time for it.

If it's alright with everyone, I'd like to get started relatively soon, so would everyone be alright having their character finished by monday night?

I can pull that off. Just need to know if anything so far needs adjustment.
