People tend to have to many people, RWBY isn't far enough in it's series with lore to work with, The people who are in it are not the best writers.

Lot of reasons. I however just posted my first RWBY story and am happy with it.
 
I could never really get into RWBY

It's so inoffensive and uneventful that most of it is pretty boring, and the characters aren't exactly engaging enough that can keep me invested in the non-plot lol

But at least the fights are nice to look at I suppose
