SQAUDRANT 15

Blake watched as the muck arm had grabbed Claire's leg, he pulled out his blade and pulled the trigger on the handle of the katana and it began to glow red. And just as he pulled it out, Reiko had already finished the job "awwww, I wanted to cut through it" mocked Blake before looking into the murky water. "it appears whatever the hell that was, is what we are going to have to get rid of to finish this task....hopefully there isn't more than one, that looked like it took a bit to dig into" Blake moved closer to the group and powered down the katana. The cyborg ran his fingers through his hair, "this is going to be a pain...." he mumbled to himself. Sure he was all about the destruction of demons, he found it to be a nice hobby, because why study when you can hack down monsters. But its not always fun and games, there has been times where he has been bested, and this....well he hoped wasn't one of those times.​
 
Bruce saw Claire needed help some kind of sewage demon grabbed her and began pulling the angel into the blood-red water. Without thought, he pulled out his Lupos Shotgun to fire at the arm. Then something slithered and wrapped itself around the neck. Time slowed for Bruce as he was dragged off. As this happened Bruce's mind registered that the same demon that caught Claire must have hid iteslf somewhere else. Finally, Bruce reacted pressing the Lupos shotgun against the Paellaidh's arm and fired. A inhuman shriek followed shortly yet the arm was still firmly around his neck. Though the hunter didn't feel himself being dragged off which he took the advantage of firing off his entire clip severing the arm.

Bruce gasped for air as the Paellaidh revealed itself. The demon roared unleshing its other arm. Bruce prepared for another showdown when a metal body stepped between them and the arm instead wrapped around X-5's own neck. The swamp demon was startled by the sudden entrance. Before the demon could recover a figure flickered and something shined. The next thing Bruce saw was the Paellaidh's head flying with the body going limp. The murderer then showed herself grinning.

"Thanks Alex and X-5." Bruce nodded. He then turned around to his dismay. Somehow the demon dragged him off a fair distance even though he could still see his team."Well, better get running!" Bruce then began to jog being followed by his demons.
 
"Xeneus, lend me borrow your eye," Serika asked the masked demon, who nodded and disappeared. She closed her eyes briefly and when she opened them again, her left eye was blood red. With her newly gained eye, she could see an attack coming and dodge or counterattack ahead of time. Just as she opened her eyes, she could see one of the Paellaidh reaching out to her. "Regnius!" She exclaimed quickly, calling forth the large tiger, who opened its mouth to bite it. When contact was made, the inflicted wound bursted to flames as it slithered away.

More and more came after them, but she was able to fend off most with her blades and Regnius. However, one had grabbed hold of her arms and legs. It almost seemed lile a hopeless situation, that is until Regnius granted her use of his powers and she covered her entire body in blue flames. She couldn't keep that up for long, but it lasted long enough to set her free.

Castiel smirked as he saw hordes of goblins. He could pretty much do whatever he wanted. At first, he was going to use his chain scythe, but decided on using his portals first. With his sharp eyes, he found a goblin with explosives attached to him just as it was flying through midair at the girl in the robot suit. He decided to step in and create a receiving portal in front of it before it could land and put a releasing portal right on top of a large group of goblins. This transported the bomber goblin back to the large group just as it blew up. Castiel let out a small laugh as he repeated it once more before finally pulling out his chain scythe, swinging the blade around and cutting through them.
 
Lunatic jumped when he saw the arm jump from the swamp, his Dynamo slid under his feet immediately and rose him into the air. Lunatic turned to Seraph and shouted commands. "Seraph hit the flowers!" She nodded and Lunatic then kicked toward the monster's arm sending a large blast at the creature's arm. He did the same to the other arm. While its arms regenerated Seraph shot up in the air with her drones on both sides. She stuck a hand out and a blue bulbous light began to glow, her drones donning the same light on their crowns. For a split second she showed the emotion of annoyance as she shouted. "Triple Laser!" Seraph and her drones released large blasts, anihalting Claire's captivator's torso. The demon only had legs. It dissolves into the water, Lunatic stared into the water. Nemesis sniffed the air and then immediately tightened her stance lifting her spears. "Lunatic do you ever pay attention in class! Don't fight demons on their terms! Empre-" "Already ahead of you." Empress's two drones had formed a giant hand. Seraph watched her sisters out of curiosity. Empress squeezed her hand and the giant one mimicked it. Just then Bruce came back from his endevour. Empress and Nemesis focused hard on the water. Lunatic hovered charging a blast same as Seraph.
 
"here we go"
Blake looked off as one of the squad leaders (Bruce) was making his way back, must've been dragged off he guess. As he turned to face the other direction another one of those muck monsters were just a little to close to his face, A arm met his neck and tried to pull him back with impressive strength. Blake smirked, "you.....Ain't t-the only one w-with some strength" he said between gasps as his breathing was being interrupted by the closing of his windpipe. suddenly Blake pulled back, with the power of the EXO his strength surpassed the monster's, and then the cyborg pulled him and swung him to the ground. The monsters grip releasing from his neck. Blake pulled out his pistol and shot the creature in the face, and watched as the body went limp. "ONE DOWN....many to go...." he sighed as his gaze met the others.​
 
A Paellaidh was attempting to flank the team in hopes of doing damage to them. However, before it could even ready itself a blue beam of light went through its head and it smacked the ground. Bruce smiled at the kill and pulled the rifle bolt ejecting the round. Placing in another, the hunter scanned for another one that dared showed itself. Surprisingly, his teammates were holding up pretty well when compared against his last time.

Alex calmly stepped aside as an arm shot past her. The arm then began to retract quickly and somewhere the Kitsune's blade bit making the Paellaidh howl in pain. The strike didn't slice the arm completely off instead the arm was still hanging on by tendrils and veins. It also was starting to heal slowly forcing the swamp demon to retreat hastily. The retreat was short lived as the demon stumbled over something. Upon turning around, it saw a wolf wearing a party hat smiling sinisterly. The Paellaidh attempted to injure the beast, but Thalus leaped onto it and tore into its stomach even going as far as eating some of it. After the deed was done, Thalus howled in trumpet as X-5 scooped him up and narrowly dodged an attack.
 
As the group finally approached the destination, they were confronted by the goblins circling around them. They looked like small fry, easily dispatched. The squad prepared their weapons as the goblins charged at them. Monica leaped into they fray with Z'eklaz empowering her. She drew the attention of a large amount goblins, allowing the rest of the squad free reign to use their abilities. Monica and Z'eklaz fought brutally, eviscerating the goblin forces. The rest of the squad also did a considerable amount of damage.

Donovan drew Ampere and Volt, spinning them out of their holsters. He spread his wings and took flight. He wasn't in the mines yet, so he could fly freely without hindrance. With this vantage point, he could see that there were a lot more goblins then he initially thought. He didn't think it would be a problem. Goblins were small fry and didn't pose a threat, so long as they don't get overwhelmed. Still, the longer they stay here killing goblins, the more of a chance that they'll be overrun. Their main objective is the goblin chief. Once he's dead, the rest will route.

From the high point in the sky, descended at an incredible speed, pulling up at the very last second so he was flying parallel to the ground. Here, he unleashed a hail of bullets on the unsuspecting goblins. Just out of their reach and able to do massive damage. The bullets vaporized each goblin as they hit, the lightning being too much for them to handle.

"Too easy," he shouted. He didn't even have to use his powers, aside from flying. He found a spot with a high concentration of goblins. He threw a bolt of lightning over there and it bounced through the goblins, making a nice clearing for his landing. He landed in the new clearing and fired upon the goblins trying to encircle him. As the goblins fell before him, he counted each one as they fell under his breath.
 
Yosuke

So far, so good, the team had managed to cut through the first wave of goblins without much problem. However, their numbers only seemed to grow. Yosuke had called out Ambrosia, who was off corralling goblins into a large group with a swarm of bees. He lunged toward the group now created, and swung. The heads fell on top of one another, as the bodies collapsed. "Push forward! We won't get anywhere just fighting all the grunts!" Yosuke ran ahead, trying to reach the mines, that were now so close. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a bright light. He, stopped himself, and jumped back in time to avoid being hit full on by a fireball. However the intense heat had grazed his arm, burning it badly. He was hindered by the pain. His main arm was almost unusable now. "Gah! Luseia! I need help!" Forced to fight off the horde with only one arm was difficult. Thunder Bolt and Ambrosia helped alleviate him from the goblins running around, but there was only so much he could do. From outside the mine, more fire was raining down on the group, and they were not the only ones to suffer. The mages had also ignited the trees. Unless the fire was put out soon, there was a great risk of an intense crown fire.

Claire

Now free from the grip of the Paelldiah, Claire retreated somewhat. This was not the same as when she left with the staff members and trainers. She had she been on her own, she would likely have been killed. She felt scared for a moment, but it soon passed, when she found herself in the shadow of yet another beast. A massive arm swung down to crush the small child, but its hand only connected with air. She wa behind it now, aiming precisely at its head. She shot it several times, each bullet leaving a massive hole in its head. The holes slowly began to fill in however. She continued to fire, trying to damage it, but each time it would regenerate. In fact many of the paelldiah thought to have been defeated had begun to reassemble. She needed a new tactic. Working swiftly, she switch out her current round with some explosive round. Firing three shots at the thing, resulting in even larger holes. Though it was not defeated, it seemed unable to fully regenerate. It seemed that one needed to break apart the beings more and more, to prevent them from regenerating completely.​
 
"Tch. What a pain in the ass," Castiel mumbled while looking at the trees that had been set on fire. It wasn't good to just let it burn, so he called out to the boy who appeared to be zapping the goblins. "Cover me for a bit, will you?" He shouted, his question sounding more like an order. Without waiting for a reply, Castiel turned back to the trees, creating a receiving portal above the ones set aflame. The portal was large, which took alot of energy out of him, especially as he moved it down to transport the flamed tops of the trees. He then placed the releasing portal above a wave of goblins, dropping it on them. If not protected, Castiel would receive many wounds, but his will would still get the job done.

"Lui! Damage control! NOW!" Cassandra commanded her water cotnrolling demon as the fire started to rage.

"The damage shall indeed be controlled. I make no apologies for your water canteen, however." Lui said as she burst Cassandra's water bottle from the bag in the jeep. Lui moved it around the window, harmlessly moving it to her said as she started to use the water to put out the bigger flames. As she worked the water to keep the forest from burning down, Cassandra was running interference, slicing through goblins as they started to try and attack Cassandra's demon.

Cassandra's strength could only last so long against these goblins. Soon enough, Nara couldn't sit still in the dog tag any longer. Nara appeared from the dog tag and started to pick off mages on the outskirts, trying to take out any ranged dangers the group might face. Once Lui was out of water, she returned to her dog tag, claiming that, "I've no more use without water."

Cassandra rolled her eyes and moved to protect Castiel next, sweeping out her lance to stop a goblin from biting him. She managed to get to it in time, but the bombs strapped to it were still ticking and about to go off. So she did the next best thing. She flung it into the farthest group of goblins and hoped for the best.
 
Monica 'Gadget' Farez, SkyBlue
Monica swung her arms around before grabbing a hold of one of the goblins. She raised it up into the air and began to laugh as they beat harmlessly against the Demonic Metal protecting her. "Let the energy of creation create your ash anew" She said before a surge of electricity coursed through the suit and into the Goblinoid body making it smoke profusely. She then cocked her arm back and threw the charred and twitching body into a nearby tree just as fire began to move. She looked back as the order to advance was given. "Oh, I know how to deal with these.... Z'eklaz... It is time." She said and felt the Great Demon Lord Course around her.

With the flames erupting around her the armor around her seemed to dissolve for a second leaving her completely vulnerable. To those watching it seemed like Z'eklaz had completely left her unprotected. Within a millisecond a wave of Electricity coursed around her as her hair rose and her eyes glew brightly. Z'eklaz's aura flashed brightly giving a glimpse of a massive demonic entity before it collapsed in around her. Metallic electricity began to swirl around her as flame struck the swirling cloud. Goblins around her began to shake horribly as if convulsing as massive amounts of electricity began to course in the ground around them. The swirling cloud shot out in electrical currents shocking many of the goblins around her giving the group the chance to move closer to the mind.

The electricity shot back in and began to cover her body before a black ooze began to seep out around her. She closed her eyes as a glow around her eyes formed. The ooze solidified into a metallic covering as a far larger Powered Suit formed around her. The noise of the suit powering up could be heard over the noise around them. She looked up and saw a Goblin with a large bomb strapped to its chest running towards her. The Goblin jumped at her and exploded causing the Suit to stumbled back slightly. The damage in the front began to coagulate as if it was living blood. Z'eklaz roared loudly. The roar carried outside of the suit before he began to laugh. "I feel alive!" It roared before Monica got him back under control. With the power coursing through the suit she felt Z'eklaz pushing to be fully unleashed. She fought the Demon back down "Not now.." She said to Z'eklaz before refocusing on the task at hand. She saw an opening and began to run forward towards the mine. Just as she took a step closer a massive explosion ripped the air apart next to her sending her and the suit flying into a tree. The suit sparked and she began to yell out in pain. The lights on the suit seemed to dim slightly but the damage seemed to be repairing itself.
 
Suddenly the spot in the water where the Paelldiah that Seraph destroyed started doubling over on itself. Empress raised her hand and smacked down on it, but the mound dodged the giant mechanical hand by going under and coming back up and lashed out with three tentacles, Seraph and Lunatic shot them down. The mound then continued gathering water until it was a humongous blob of murky water with all sorts of plants growing on it, then what appeared to be a boulder surfaced in the midst of its face. The boulder then blinked revealing that it was actually an eye. "Damn that thing is ugly." Nemesis held her spears in withdrawal. Empress went for another swing horizontally, but the demon flattened then sprung back up and grew two gnarly looking arms of bark. Lunatic started kicking blasts at it and it zipped in the water avoiding them.

No one had noticed, but Seraph lowered near the water and shocked it, the Paelldiah shrieked and then snapped its gaze to Seraph who then zapped him multiple times in the eye. It roared and charged creating a mighty wave toward the swamp bank then ran into the middle diving under where it recovered. Most everyone dodged the wave, but Empress got wet and went Tsundere.

"This thing is starting to get annoying." "Starting?!" Empress's giant hand was balled in a fist, trembling, like her own hand. "I thought it was a cute little glob before." "You were named right." "Shut up." The Paelldiah surfaced again and roared as it charged the bank. "Prepare Neme"sis Gift." Nemesis sighed and parted the hair on her neck revealing a strange symbol. It started to glow and Lunatic's Dynamo's turned into a large explosive whip. Lunatic grasped the whip as he fell plummeting toward the swamp, mid fall Lunatic spun making an electrifying orb in the sky. Lunatic met the Paelldiah's head with his lash ripping through him the final the whip explodes into an electrifying field, petrifying the demon. While it was in its stun state Lunatic activated Empress's gift, she lifted her skirt revealing what appeared to be the same symbol, but was slightly different. Lunatic's Dynamos lifted around him and separated creating a 3-D star around the blob. Lunatic jumped off its bark arm and activated the gift just as it left its stun like state. Three lasers pierced the demon and started spinning rapidly creating a messy light show. Just then Seraph started her gift, folding up her glove revealing what appeared to be the same symbol, but was slightly different yet again. Lunatic made two "L"s with his hands and positioned his Dynamos in front of him by this time the monster had been separated into multiple parts by Nemesis's and Empress's gifts. The Dynamos blinked a faint light twice. "Trinity of Dangerous Technology! Fire!" A large laser impaled the demon demolishing it and everything behind it, it appeared to be dead, but its eye remained.

Empress grabbed the ball and tried to crush it, but couldn't. She passed it over to Lunatic who drew his blade and pulled out a small piece of paper with a verse from the bible. "Cover your ears demons." He began chiseling a cross and the eye already started trembling. The sisters covered their ears. "If you're a lower class man you'll learn this by your second year. It's the simplest sealing verse there is. Bruce, Ayumu, feel free to hop in." Lunatic started chanting and the symbol began to glow and chains started rising from it. They wrapped around the eye and squeezed it until it popped. A stone ball covered in gold lines was left in its place. The other Paelldiahs began melting like trees caught on fire and water left to boil. "Next!" Lunatic picked up the small ball and tossed it up and down.
 
Reiko

"Bruce has someone with him already. Let's stay with Claire." Reiko said to the three who nodded reluctantly. There were a handful of the demons coming Claire's way so Reiko and her clones readied their Scythes. There were about ten of them so they split up two to each demon. It made for a nice one man, or woman, combo attack.

They both swung their Scythes at its neck from different directions. The cuts all went almost halfway through. It then made it easier to cut that last part and sever its head. It was hard work though, leaving Reiko panting.

Her demons all assisted, Helen used platelets to defend them from getting grabbed. Yggdrasil maintained the clones and Circe, with her compassion, slowed the demons down considerably- making the Reiko's seem a bit like one of their own.

When the demons came back for more, Elise began to feel a little worried. She did her best to keep it to herself and show a brave face for the younger students, however. "back for seconds are you," she asked as the one she had knocked away before slowly closes on her again. "If you were faster, maybe you'd accomplish something." She deliberately raised her sword high above her head. "Try this!" And brought it down. The blade slammed into the demon's shoulder and continued until it hit the water, throwing spray and debris into the air. The Paellaidh was nowhere to be seen after being brought low by the blow.

Elise took a hand of her sword to wipe scummy water off her face. "I might have to start getting serious." An ink-black sphere appeared near her head as she prepared her own supernatural powers, just in case. A short time later, the demon resurfaced behind Elise, one arm hanging limply at its side from where it's still barely attached as muck and flesh already knight back together. It grabbed at her with its good hand, dripping, clammy fingers getting an iron grip on her dark hair, pulling her painfully off-balance.

Elise managed a yelp of surprised pain before falling backward into the water with a loud splash.
 
"Crap, I'm coming!"

Blake saw as another muck monster attacked Elise, pulling her into the water. Blake put his sword in the sheathe on his back and holstered his pistol before running for the water and diving in. At first everything was hard to see. Then things became more clear. Luckily his exo skeleton suit was water resistant. At least at 100-feet depth.

He noted that he had a grip on Elise's hair. And swam forward and grabbed the monsters arm that had her hair. He then tried to pull the arm apart. At first with his strength it started to rip at the point where the forearm meets the elbow. But it began to reattach itself as he pulled. Things got deeper, then he let go and pulled out his sword, he pulled the trigger and the heat that emitted from the blade created bubbles. He swung down with all his might and cut through the arm. Releasing her from his grip. He than kicked it away and grabbed onto Elise's arm and began to swim up.

Once at the surface he pulled her out of the water and got her into solid ground. Blake looked behind him and scoped his surroundings before hacking water out of his lungs and falling onto his hands knees. Puking up whatever the hell was in that water. "ACK..... Is this over yet?" He said. He wiped his lips with his hands and stumbled to his feet. Then the touch screen on his left wrist began to blink red. The power to his left arm was disabled. "REALLY? How did that happen..." It didn't matter much. At least it wasn't his legs...where he needed it most since both legs were paralyzed, the suit guided his legs basically giving the strength it needed and more. Plus, he could still shoot with his left arm without the added help. Might not be as accurate though.

"Elise? Are you okay we need to get this job done with and fast, I hate this place to begin with" he began to use the touch pad on his wrist to vert the power to his remaining functional limbs.

Elise coughed and spluttered for a moment before she pushed herself into a sitting position. "Thanks. I owe you one." She stopped momentarily for another coughing fit. "I'll manage. I'll REALLY need a shower when we get this done, but I'm good enough for now, give or take lord knows what still stuck in my hair." She pushed herself up and got back to her feet, careful not to use her sword as a crutch. "These guys just won't stay down," she said, still catching her breath. "I guess we'll have to go all-out, but I don't know how long I can keep that up."

If it weren't the middle of a battlefield, she'd even close her eye to center herself, but she made do with a few deep breaths. "Alright. Let's see what I can do." She focused on the one demon still out for her blood (or breath, as the case may be). "Time to just put you down for good," she shouted, as motes of light gathered around her and formed into intense points. Bright beams traced their way from those points to the demon, causing a cloud of stinking steam to flash into being around it as the water cooked off its slimy exterior. Elise grimaced. "That's...going to make this take longer." The intensity of her lasers increased to drive through the steam, and punch all the way through the demon.

Elise muttered a few things to herself, her face a mask of careful concentration, and a small gravity disturbance appeared in the path of her lasers, bending them so they sliced through the Paellaidh, leaving it to fall into the water as several haphazard chunks. "Let's hope it can't get back up from that," she said, panting a bit from the exertion. "If not for all this water, I'd try just carpeting the whole area. I think we need to come at this with a better plan before we all end up completely drained."
 
Blake nodded his head "yeah...I don't want this thing to power down another limb. My left arm isn't being powered. I'm useless if I lose one of my legs" he said using his right hand to grab his pistol and reloaded the revolver chamber.

"Since most of this infestation is organic material, why not burn out the sewers, it should take care of these plants and mud freaks" the cyborg suggested. He looked around and made sure everyone was accounted for. No one was going to be left behind. "All we need is a little firepower, right?"​
 
Lunatic hopped up and landed on his Dynamos and unsheathed his short sword. He started rushing to Reiko's aid, leaping in the air being caught by his Dynamos every time he fell until he was directly over a demon trying to land an attack on her. "You look like you could use a hand!" He dropped slicing through it's arm, but catching himself on the Dynamos and used them like trampolines, ricocheting around the demon until he severed its entire top half. Empress's giant hand came out of nowhere and squeezed it to death. Nemesis and Seraph were off dealing with one on their own. "Thanks Empress. Let's try to get this over with."

"Agreed. I'll play support." Empress hopped behind Lunatic and made her giant hand separate into her two drone servants. "Gear Boost!" Anyone on the entire Squadron 15 with any type of electronic equipment would have felt a complete surge of power through their weapons. Empress moved her hair to reveal the symbol again. "Gift ready. Apprehend targets."

"Roger that!" The drones nodded and took off behind Lunatic who slashed at another demon, the drones quickly followed dodging the demons raging swings. Lunatic flipped over one of his arms, ducked and rolled under and brought his Dynamos to his fist and shot three shots at his arm and took it off with his sword. The drones regrouped back in front of Empress and Lunatic jumped off his Dynamos and slid slicing the demon's "feet" off. "Empress's Gift Activate!" The Dynamos made a star shape like before and started circling around the demon slicing him up with laser beams. The Dynamos eventually broke away and came back to Lunatic. The demon dissipated and another sneaking up behind Lunatic and Empress almost swallowed them hole, but a stray laser pushed it back.

Nemesis was then seen skating on her drones towards them with two spears ready. She leaped into the air and decapitated the demon and landed sketchy on her drones on the other side. "You have gotten on my last nerves, ya muck of a demon."

"Weren't you with Seraph?" Empress looked around for Seraph and eventually saw her flying around firing aerial blasts at the monsters down below while dodging their stretching arms.

"I think she's fine. Looks to only be a few more though, so that's good at least." Nemesis took off again to deal with the rest. The decapitated demon wasn't dead and rose it hands ready to slam down on us. Empress snapped her fingers and her drones nodded moving fast to take the demon out in 15 fatal blows.

Lunatic rested a hand on his hip. "You alright Reiko?! I was so in to it I didn't hear if you gave an answer."

"Got it, boss man!" Donovan confirmed the order. He didn't have to like his squad leader, but his qualms were petty in the face of combat. There was a time and place for it, but during combat was neither of the two. The goblins were closing in on the small clearing he had made and he took it as his cue to ascend into the air once more. With a sudden flap of his wings, he took flight.

From the air he spotted Castiel being surrounded by numerous goblins. Cassandra had already begun to protect Castiel, but Donovan would not be shown up by her. Donovan circled the space above Castiel and provided aerial support to the squad leader. He rained a hail of bullets and lightning as they made their way towards the mines.

"We need to stop messing around with these goblins. They're not going to stop coming until we take out the Chief!" Donovan didn't want to hang around the exterior of the mines longer than they had to. If they didn't move quick, they'd be overwhelmed no matter how weak the goblins were. He felt small signs of exhaustion fall upon him. His constant spell usage was starting to drain him; he may have gotten a bit carried away with the goblin horde. Still he should be able see through the end of the mission. He couldn't be that tired.
 
Bruce perched himself up on a tree branch and was scanning with his rifle covering his team. His demons, meanwhile, were out keeping a few at bay and Bruce had witness X-5 tear a Paelldiah in half before electrocuting it. One jumped the robotic demon, but the hunter was quick enough to fire off a shot killing it. Then Bruce looked over over Blake who mentioned something about burning the sewers.

"Bad idea! Burning the sewers could drive hidden ones out into the Zone!"
