[Rootless]

A girl from a divorced family, a younger brother with his own problems, a girl (me), finds herself not believing in love. Or, more aptly put, avoiding it at all costs. She's a writer with a block. She spends a lot of time at college parties, sleeping with guys and writing about them.

Enter your character. A good guy, looking out for everybody, even the ones he doesn't know. And my character wants to run as fast as she can in the other direction.

This sounds like a really cute idea! I love being the nice-but-I'm-hiding-sadness kind of guy. Would he be okay?
And does it have to be "he" in the sense of physical appearance? Just testing how free my boundaries are here. Sounds like a good idea, though.
