OVERVIEW RULES FOLKLORE/SETTING FACTIONS IMPORTANT PEOPLE CHARACTERS CHARACTER SHEET UPDATES/LINKS

Welcome to Midnight Hollow, where people are classified according to their strengths, and The Eternal Tree keeps the whole land protected by a magical barrier.

Citizens of Midnight Hollow need to be protected because of the dangers that lie in the dark forest that surround the land. People can hear the sounds of creatures lurking in those woods if they get close enough, but nobody has ever been in the woods and come back to tell the tale. People who go into the woods... they don't return.

And now, the citizens of Midnight Hollow are faced with a crisis. The Eternal Tree, the source of their power and the only thing protecting them from the outside world, is slowly dying. The leaders of Midnight Hollow, also known as the Monarchs, assume that the tree has been poisoned.

Nobody can know for sure, and life has to go on, especially at Hollow Academy. It's the school that will shape the next generation, and right now, people can only hope that the next generation can come up with some sort of solution, because only if they do it together, will they be able to restore the Tree to its full health.

Will the protective barrier fade away before a solution can be found?

Only time will tell. All that people are sure of for now though, is that strange things are happening in Midnight Hollow, and things are only getting worse from there...
- This roleplay will contain violent themes and some blood and gore so be aware of that before deciding to join.
- Romance is always allowed, but anything that goes further than a little lip lock needs to be taken to the PMs or just fade to black.
- No godmodding. Don't control any character other than your own and give other characters a chance to react to what your character does. Please don't decide the outcome for them.
- Please be civil to everyone OOC. Roleplay drama sticks to the roleplay.
- This isn't heavily detailed. it's more casual, but two paragraphs would be a minimum for post length. As for post frequency, it's not too serious. Maybe once a week? It's pretty chill.
- Please read through all the folklore before making characters.
- I would request that each person make two characters, a male and female each to even things out. If you want more, you are allowed up to six characters.
- Please have some diversity in your characters as well as the factions they choose.
- When requesting a character, please use the format give in the 'CHARACTERS' tab.
- The roleplay will begin on the 8th of April. You are expected to complete all your characters by then or we will have to proceed without you.
- To prove you have read all of this, please add the title of your current favourite song to your requesting post.
THE MONARCHS
The Monarchs are a group of five leaders -- one representative from each faction. They form the government of Midnight Hollow and they are the main people in decision making. Their word is law.

THE FACTIONS
You would be born in one faction, and at the age of sixteen, you can either continue there, or change your faction. There are a total of five factions: The Tyrians, The Rouges, The Azures, The Ashers and The Flavius.

THE ETERNAL TREE
The Eternal Tree is what gives Midnight Hollow life. It acts as protection and forms a barrier around the town, preventing the creatures of the night from coming in and wreaking havoc. It gives the citizens of Midnight Hollow powers and strength so that it may not act alone in the protection of the city. Without The Eternal Tree, nobody would be safe, and the town would be destroyed in a matter of minutes, by the creatures of the night. Each leaf represents a citizen of Midnight Hollow. If a leaf falls, that person has died. On the day of the Choosing Ceremony, branches swoop down to show the students their respective leaves because once they are born, their leaf grows, and on it is the emblem of their destined faction. Students can choose to follow the tree's guidance or choose their own faction.

TRANSPORTATION; THE DREAMLINERS
Trains or metros that are elevated to avoid traffic. You can go from one faction to another. Every area of Midnight Hollow is connected through The Dreamliners. Cars exist, but this is the preferred mode of transport, and the cheaper mode. Cars exist only for the elite and rich. Every Dreamliner stops at The City Centre before transporting you to another faction, if that is your desired destination.

THE CITY
The centre of Midnight Hollow and where all citizens must stop before travelling to another faction because the train system always passes through there.

THE CHOOSING CEREMONY
At the age of sixteen, all citizens go through a choosing ceremony. They go to the tree, find their leaf, and see which faction they were destined to belong to. If they choose to continue there, they can. If not, they must change the shape of the symbol on their leaf with a drop of their blood. They must then drink the glowing blue sap that is pooled around the tree, for this presents them with a power that will help them in their desired faction. At sixteen, the power is young, and so hard to tame and also not very powerful, but with time, it will become stronger.

HOLLOW ACADEMY
Hollow Academy lies on the outskirts of Midnight Hollow. It is close to the forests that surround the land, but still within the protective barrier of The Eternal Tree. After the choosing ceremony, students are sent from their regular schools, to Hollow Academy, where they train in every way possible, before going on to finalise in one particular area in their final year. Hollow Academy has five years of schooling: Sixteen year olds are Freshlings, Seventeen year olds are Wielders, Eighteen year olds are Apprentices, Nineteen year olds are Trainers and Twenty year olds are Mentors. After this, there is a graduation ceremony for all those who are Twenty and pass their classes, after which they go on to specialise in their preferred area of work.

THE DORMS
Two people share a room or in this case, a tree house. No co-ed pairings. Curfew is at 100:00 PM.

TOTEMS
Totems are an item that will be the centre of a person's power. It would be something small, like a charm or a pendant or something they can always carry, and it would have some significance to them. They can either make/buy it themselves, or it can be something given to them like an heirloom or something that belonged to a family member. Without their totem, a person would not be able to use their powers too well. Totems cannot be touched by anyone else because then they are tainted and fail to work for their original owner.

DIRE GROVE
Dire Grove is a street close to the school where students of Hollow Academy are free to roam on every alternate weekend. The small area provides places to eat, shop and also has activities like movie screenings and games for those that purely seek entertainment.
[Note that these factions do not represent personality, like in Divergent. They are merely where you are to work and live out the rest of your days, so the more important aspect of the Factions would be your career, not your personality.]

THE TYRIANS
The Tyrians are the diplomats. Those that make up the justice system are usually those that come from The Tyrian land. They have a definite view on what is right and wrong and they are responsible for making sure that all is well among the citizens and that peace is not disrupted. The Tyrians take up one section of Midnight Hollow and their land is full of greenery and flowers, the weather calm and peaceful all the time. Tyrians typically wear shades of purple. [For Ethnicities, it is mostly North American citizens and Australia that has settled in The Tyrians]

THE ROUGES
The Rouges are the healers. They are smart, resourceful and they help come up with various potions and antidotes, however even they are stumped by what is happening with The Eternal tree. The Rouges are like the doctors or nurses of the land, while many even become scientists. The Rouges live in one section of Midnight Hollow and their weather is typically spring all the time since they grow various medicinal plants. Rouges typically wear shades of red. [For ethnicities, it is mostly European countries that have settled in The Rouges]

THE AZURES
The Azures are also smart, but in different ways from those of the Rouges. They are very adept when it comes to technology. They are skilled when it comes to working with electronics and inventing new devices or machinery. They can fix most hardware and also build software. The Azures live in a very hot environment in one part of Midnight Hollow, but because of their technological advances, they have central cooling all the time in their homes. Azures typically wear shades of blue. [For ethnicities, it is mainly Africa as well as Middle Eastern countries that has settled in The Azures]

THE ASHERS
The Ashers are the Fighters. The ones that protect the land from harm. The ones that are brave and resilient and skilled with their powers and their fighting. They can wield weapons like no other. The Ashers take up one section of Midnight Hollow, and their weather is typically cold since their region is much higher up than others. Ashers typically wear blacks and greys. [For ethnicities, it is mostly Northern Asia as well as other cold countries]

THE FLAVIUS
The Flavius are the stars. Every world needs entertainment and those that go to Flavius end up going on screens as singers, actors or models. They build up the entertainment sector of the land and are devoted to different forms of performing arts. They take up one section of Midnight Hollow and their weather is generally tropical as they live closest to a sea shore. Flavius' usually wear shades of yellow. [For ethnicities, it is mainly Southern Asian, and South Amercian citizens that settled in The Flavius]

PERSONALITY
Elijah seems like a very sophisticated person on the outside, but he's a child at heart. He is always bouncing around, unable to sit still, and he enjoys the thrill of doing new things and seeing new places. He has a knack for giving quick lipped answers to most questions that come his way, and of course, this way, sarcasm is like his second language. He would complain that it physically hurts to hold back sarcastic comments but really he's just a big drama queen.

Fiercely loyal, and extremely protective, Elijah would go to the ends of the Earth to protect a friend or loved one, and he is usually very self sacrificing, always looking to other's needs before his own. He has a tendency to lash out whenever someone brings up his mother though, and though he rarely gets angry, on the off chance that he does, he usually blacks out and has no memory of what he did, though what he did was most likely beat a person up to make them look like shit.

BRIEF BIO
Elijah was the first born son to a power couple. His parents were one of the most famous people in Flavius. Both reknowned actors to win many awards, Elijah grew up in the spotlight as well till his sister came along. He was glad for that because the attention shifted and while sometimes attention was good, he didn't like that much attention.

When Elijah's mother died -- he was 10 -- it rocked the whole faction. One of the most famous people in Midnight's Hollow had passed away due to an illness and it only added to the sudden strange occurrences happening in the town. This left Elijah slightly changed. While he was still energetic and bouncy, he started becoming prone to blackouts and this was when his OCD began to develop.

While he picked up a few skills from his parents, like singing from his father, he never saw it as much of a career choice. He was always bouncy and unable to sit still and felt that he would do better as a fighter, and so when it came time for the choosing Ceremony, he chose Asher, because he knew he would do well and also because it was the symbol on his leaf. He was destined to go there after all.

He wasn't too surprised. Before coming to Flavius, even his father had been an Asher.

The ability to move around or do just about anything with incredible speed. This includes metabolism and thought processes.

STRENGTHS
He can go just about anywhere in seconds, so he doesn't really have to rely on the Dreamliners. He also can run over liquid surfaces.

LIMITATIONS
He can get worn out quickly if he's been running for too long or for a very long distance and occasionally, he gets burned because of his speed and friction. Often he also finds himself unable to control his speed.

TOTEM
A raw crystal on a leather necklace that had belonged to his father. The crystal is part of a bigger chunk of crystal that has been passed down from his father's ancestors as they were all Flavius. Supposedly, when him and Eli's mother got married, their rings were also embedded with small pieces of said crystal.

Much like her brother, Eleanora is full of surprises. And alongside that is the classic Santiago charm and wit that both her parents had and passed down to their children. Eleanora is really no different from her brother Elijah. She is also full of energy and she can't be tamed. She tends to have quite a mischievous side and she can be quite the rebel. She has a thirst for adventure that never seems to be quenched, and she can often be very competitive for even the smallest things.

She enjoys making people laugh and keeping people happy and she is also protective of those she considers close to her. She is wary lf who she allows to get close to her though. She's had far too many people befriend her simply because she's from the entertainment industry and she's not looking for fake friends to just feed her false compliments. She doesn't have much of a temper, however when she gets angry, it must mean it's somethign serious, and her actions based on that are not one anyone would wish to witness. Eleanora is also very stubborn. When she sets her mind to something, there's no changing it.

Two years younger than her brother Elijah, when Eleanora was born, she was born a star. She had stolen the attention from her brother when she was born because she was the newst person in the lives of two of the most famous people in Midnight Hollow. Eleanora never minded. She loved the attention in fact. Which was why she hated to disappoint her father by leaving Flavius and choosing a different career.

While Eleanora might be skilled at acting and had looks like that of a model, being in the entertainment business has never been something she took seriously. She loved doing it on the side as a hobby, perhaps, but as a serious career, she wanted to do something that would help people.

Knowing she wasn't all that smart, and since she wasn't completely the most honest or morally right person out there, she felt like Asher was a good fit, and it would also put all that extra energy to good use. Her leaf also bore the same symbol so she eas destined to be an Asher.

She can grow and create plants as and when she pleases. She can move and create things out of dirt and stones. She can communicate with plants and sense their feelings and she can also tell whether plants are dangerous or not.

Her energy can be drained a lot when she grows plants, and even more so when she creates them. She also has limited control of her powers as of right now and they mostly act on her emotions, meaning she could wrap someone in thorned vines unintentionally if she gets angry.

Darian is filled with sardonic humour and witty remarks. That's pretty much all that leaves his mouth. He, for the most part, is a mystery, and at the same time, he enjoys unraveling other mysteries as well. He can be considered a kind of bad boy with the fact that he does as he pleases and doesn't give a shit on how it impacts other people. He will do what it takes to find out the truth, merely to satisfy his curiosity, not because it's the right thing to do. He couldn't care less about that. The only people he actuallyi cares about would be close friends -- which is a hard thing to become -- and his younger sister. Those poeple he would guard with his life and God bless anyone that tried to mess with them.

He can be quite the flirt, thiugh he usually neevr pursues things further unless someone really catches his attion. Otherwise, he enjoys playfully flirting with just about anynody because he enjoys making people swoon. He can often get lost in his own head, and he is known to have mood swings every now and then. He hardly has any patience and needs things to be done pronto. He doesn't wait around for anyone, so if he says he's going to do something, he will do it right then and there. He can be quite blunt with his speech but he never intentionally means to harm anyone. He's just mostly oblivious.

Despite coming from a family full of Rouges, Darian was certainly not born to be a doctor or scientist. He wasn't smart like that. He was smart when it came to building things or when it came to technology and inventions. He had a creative mind so inventing things came easy to him, and he found it quite fun too.

Being in among the Rouges wasn't his idea of fun and he knew he wouldn't adjust if he had to do that for thr rest of his life. So, he left his fation and joined the one best suited to him -- the Azures. He was destined to go there too, according to his leaf symbol.

His parents never forgave him for it and he hasn't seen them since. He is hoping to earn enough money to get a nice house for himself when he graduates so that he can get his younger sister to stay with him since he knows she doesnmt want to stay in the Rouges either and he is highly protective of her.

The ability to create, shape and manipulate metals.

STRENGTHS
He can turn metal into anything he wants and he can identify metals easily. He also has the ability to sense when there are precious metals or stones nearby. He can change the physical state of metals and he can even bring certain metal sculptures to life by controlling them with his mind.

LIMITATIONS
He can still just as easily be injured by metal and creating metal or shaping it takes a toll on him. He often feels very tired because of this. He also unintentionally robs places because he hasn't learned to fully control his power and until he can, he can unintenionally act as a magnet for metal and precious stones.

TOTEM
An infinity cross he had made for his sister that she gave to him before he left his faction as a reminder that he would see her soon. He has taken it from its chain and put it on the zipper of his leather jacket.

Roz is the kind of person that knows she was destined for greatness, and she will do anything to achieve it. She can be very charming and persuasive and it is something she was just born with. Shs knew since she was a child that she wanted to be famous, not a fighter like her parents, and she did what she could to get to her goal. She is diligent and stubborn and doesn't let anything get in her way. She can be kind and sweet but it's also hard to tell if it's genuine or if she's just doing it to get something from you.

Roz is also not one to play by rules. According to her, she doesn't follow rules,but rather makes them herself. Roz's parents had always known she certainly wouldn't fit with them in the cold climate of the Ashers where she would be expected to fight. That wasn't who she was.

Physically, she may not hurt a fly, but with her words she could do all kinds of damage. For this, her parents were proud because she got that from them. But they were supportive of her choice to become famous. After all, all their other sons chose different factions. They had assumed the same would apply to their only daughter as well.

She had been toughened up by her brothers so she was ready to do what it took to become a face people would recognise. When it came time for the Choosing ceremony, she was supposed to choose Rouge. That was what her leaf had said, because she was actually quite intelligent with an unimaginably high IQ. She didn't want to do that for the rest of her life though, so she went ahead and chose Flavius anyway.

PERSONALITY
Anvay is very morally grounded. He has a set of beliefs that he will never fo against and he has a set idea on what is wrong and what is right. He can be quite the debater when it comes to such a thing and he always seeks the truth,and justice, which is why he was fit for Tyrians. He doesn't allow other poeple or his emotions to affect his judgement and he is stubborn so he won't be easily influenced.

He is something of an introvert who mostly keeps to himself and he appears serious though really, all the times he's quiet, he's just analysing you. He is excellent at deducing things, and can do so in the likes of Sherlock Holmes even. It is impossible to lie to him and he hates poeple who lie. Anvay is an orphan that lived a rags to riches kind of life. He has never known his birth parents and was adopted at a young age. He never fit in with the Azures though. He saw crimes watched shows that depicted harsh realities and he always felt like he needed to try and make the place a better one for everyone.

He was intelligent, overly so, but not with electronics. He hardly used it unless really necessary. He was more interested in reading and having intellectual conversations and debating over important issues.

He parted with his foster parents amicably at 16 and chose the faction he was destined to bein: The Tyrians.

Telepathy -- the ability to read thoughts, project thoughts, and manioulate people's thinking.

STRENGTHS
He can literally convince people of anything by putting thoughts into their mind and controlling it. He can also bring about illusions in some cases, though that is more advanced and he hasn't learned it yet.

Megara is something of a wild spirit. She's quite carefree and doesn't think about what other poeple think about her. She feels like it doesn't matter what they think. As long as she's having fun, she couldn't be happier. She tends not to get close to people too much even if she is initially friendly. The moment you try to get closer to her and know more about her, she closes off completely and becomes standoffish and cold. If you somehow manage to break through the walls she spent a long time building up, she is caring and loyal and will never betray your trust.

She likes fun and being rebellious wnd enjoys parties and dancing. She has witnessed too much death which leads her to live like there's no tomorrow, so she always goes with her gut and does as she pleases. BRIEF BIO
A youngster, despite being quite inclined to fighting and battle practice as well, Megara tended to use electronic gadgets quite a lot. She became rather skilled in the art of hacking which was when she disocered that her father was having an affair with another woman.

Meg had been 12 at the time.

She hadn't known what to do so she told her older brother who had been sixteen at the time. He told their mother who confronted their father and kicked him out of the house. Things were supposed to be good from there but her mother only got worse and depressed and wound up dying from alcohol poisoning when Megara was 15. She was supposed to go live with her father then since her brother was in school and she told herself that he would be home soon, so she just had to hang on.

But unfortunately, during battle practise, there was an accident and her brother passed away as well, leaving her without any people she loved. When it came time for her Choosing Ceremony, despite being destined to be in Asher, she chose Azure to get away from her father and the faction that reminded her too much of the two important people in her life that she lost.

Electrokinesis - the ability to control, generate and manioulate electricity

STRENGTHS
She can control electricity in most objects and as a result, control those objects. She can also, to some extent, call upon lightning.

LIMITATIONS
She is still prone to being electrocuted and using electricity or controlling it often gives her blackouts where she passes out for an amount of time. She also doesn't have much control over her power yet so she involuntarily send sparks flying once in a while and it often reflects her emotions.

Alfie defines the term bad boy. He's reckless and rebellious and couldn't care less about what people say. Alfie was brought up by a single mother whom he loved dearly. His father had walked out on him before he was even born, for which he resented the man even though he had never met him. He grew up under the care of his loving mother who was a virtuoso in Flavius. She taught him proper manners which he often displayed in between his carelss, mischievous behaviour.

Because of her love for being on stage and performing acrobatics and competing in gymnastics, it was thought that she would choose Flavius; however that was not the case. Sunshine always had a passion for nature and helping people. She spent a lot of her time studying plants in nature and practicing alchemy to create healing potions. As a child Asad was always doted on by his mother and father because he was their only son and he was precocious and charming. However Asad was always riddled with jealousy because he would never receive the family heirloom that only first borns received. More often than not he had badgered his father about the totem and complained only to be reprimanded and rebuked. As he got older, he eventually realized that nothing he did would ever result in him obtaining the totem, so he sought to better himself and become one of the best Azures in his family.

When his older sister turned 15 and had her choosing ceremony, she realized that Azure wasn't the place for her and joined Flavius. Doing this however got her disowned by the family since they saw her choice as abandoning them, and this effectively removed her from the role of first born. And although he was said, Asad was thrilled to recieve the totem in her place.

Delfina was born a Tyrian but she always knew she was a Flavius like her grandfather. Growing up, she always felt displaced because she couldn't keep up with the other kids educationally and she always felt guilty because she thought she was making her parents look bad. Unbeknownst to her, her mothers knew that Delfina was a Flavius too and they did their best to expose her to elements that she would encounter when she inevitably chose the flamboyant faction. Everytime they both recieved a free day, they took Delfina to see her grandfather, Emilio, who was a famous playwright in Flavius. Emilio loved his granddaughter and they almost always got along because they both dealt with dyslexia and dyscalculia.

When Delfina turned fifteen, she bid her parents a tearful goodbye and went to live with her grandfather, after her leaf showed that she belonged in Flavius.

Sym's an orphan who remembers none of her past life. She was found when she was 4-years-old by her foster brother, Jannik, hiding on a Dreamliner and clearly came from a life on the streets. His parents, Astrid and Hugh Solberg, used their connection in police forces in hopes of finding her biological family but no one claimed her and they eventually adopted her themselves. Their jobs meant they weren't at home often enough, and other kids kept their distance; they were intimidated by Jannik, who was already a head taller than all of them and Sym acted "too smart" for them. They didn't mind, however: the two grew up attached at the hip, and they found the neighborhood elders company enough.

When she turned 16, she didn't need to look at her leaf to know Rouge was the one. She had already developed her fascination for various sciences, and the gift of hemokinesis provided a direction to sharpen her growing skills to their finest points. Though she plans to enter hematology research, it was Jannik who convinced her to shadow doctors and help out at local hospitals. These days, she almost always found in Rouge-designated labs within Hollow Academy.

Introvert: Though he rarely speaks, unless spoken to, outside of his inner circle, Jannik can be very conversational when meeting new people. It is because he internalizes his environment and emotions that makes him bad at conveying his feelings on a physical level. Most people can't tell when he is sad or enthusiastic, and the lack of emotion coupled with his height offsets them, thinking he is unapproachable when it's the opposite.
Sensing: Jannik relies on his observational skills above all else to analyze a situation. Jannik's life has been somewhat solitary. His height and inability to show much emotion made people believe he was unapproachable or mentally ill. While Jannik never said anything, he was frustrated and deeply hurt. Finding Symone helped ease the loneliness but kids their age only drew farther away because of Sym's sometimes hostile attitude.

When he was 13, Jannik ended up in the hospital for over a month due to gallstones. After performing a non-invasive surgery to remove them, an infection occured that forced the doctors to remove his gallbladder entirely. Jannik had little to do during his recovery except lay in his bed and listen to the conversations happening near him. He began to empathize with people as he heard different problems, even making friends with a nurse after having a surprisingly serious and open discussion about her recent divorce (which he overheard at the receptionist's desk outside his door). This opened his eyes as he realized he was good at connecting with other people. This inevitably led to his choice of Tyrian, although Jannik has yet to decide what he wants to do for a career.

Honestly, just looking at Bryce the first thing anyone would assume about him is that he is a pompous, snobby, stuck-up, know it all asshole. And he gives them every reason to think that way about him. He has a tendency to literally look down on people, mainly because of his height and because he rarely ever smiles he appears to wear a face in which no one can read what he's really thinking. And he does often assume that most everyone he meets are idiots. But if he is wrong he will be quick to apologize. And he is an intelligent and intellectual being of there ever was one. His brain is stored with a bunch of information.

He is actually a very dutiful and responsible. This makes him very reliable and honest person. Though, his honesty makes him look like an ass too. He can't help but tell the truth no matter how mean it is. But, he is rather chivalrous, a gentlemen really. It surprises a lot of people who've just met him. It's hidden by his cynical attitude and his distrust of people. Which is why he rather not get involved with others, he prefers solitude. If you do get close to him, you will find how loyal he is.

Empathy - He can fully interpret and replicate the emotions, moods, and temperaments of others without reading apparent symptoms, allowing him to understand introverts or discover one emotion is actually hiding another. He can also learn to read emotional imprints left into environment or objects. Lastly, he can manipulate emotions to a degree too.

STRENGTHS
- He can attack someone in a personal and emotional way since they know exactly what emotion is flowing through themselves and can use this knowledge to play against them.

Up until she was eleven years old, everyone in Fawn's family, including herself, believed that she belonged in Rouge. She fit the part for sure. She loved helping people and picking them up when they've fallen down. She was a quick learner and knew about a hundred remedies by heart. She constantly followed her older brothers around and mimicked everything they said.

But then, when she was eleven years old she saw blood for the first time. Well--A lot of blood. Obviously she had seen scrapes and paper cuts before and it had been fine, but this time...This time it was just a sudden stream of blood (from what was revealed to be a surface wound later), and Fawn had reared back and screamed to high heaven. Later that day, her father came to her and reassured her that even though she was afraid of blood, there were other ways to benefit the faction. And she had been slightly reassured, but there had always been a niggling feeling in the back of her head and every once in awhile she wondered if she really could benefit the faction. I mean...What kind of Rouge could she be if she was afraid of blood?

The night before the Choosing Ceremony, Fawn was in her room wondering what would be on her leaf, when her brother entered the room. He started to beat around the bush, circling around a message but never really saying anything. Finally, Fawn demanded a straight answer and he blurted out, "You're my little sister and I love you but how will you ever be happy if you can't realize your true potential if you're a Rouge whose afraid of blood? I want you to be happy Fawn, so please, choose any faction but ours."

And then it was time for the Choosing Ceremony and when Fawn chose Tyrian.

Robyn is for herself, plain and simple. She has an ungodly level of self confidence, and believes the utmost within herself. She is naturally persuasive and charismatic, leading her to originally wish to take the route of diplomacy, instead of the Rogues which she was born into. Her goals are to increase her own standing in life, being incredibly ambitious and aspirational, coming from a not too powerful family, and has no problem twisting and manipulating those around her to achieve her dreams. She is incredibly optimistic, able to pick out any situation and play it to her advantage as much as she can, whether it be by her own skill or using those around around her; including influencing them with her power. As long as Robyn has her way, no one will stand in her way; and if any do, she will not hesitate to tear them down and break them with her silver tongue, and vicious temperament.

She is the centre of her own universe at the end of the day, believing that she is the best and should be on top; truly and utterly believing that she deserves it after what she has been through and how much she has already pushed and climbed up the mountain of society. However, behind this exterior shell, she can be friendly, to a degree. Those who manage to get close know that she will do almost anything to keep them close, because the people who help her and support her mean the world to her. She likes to party and make contacts, believing that the more people she knows, the better chance she has of making friends but also finding someone who she can use. She doesn't like the rules, much preferring to be the one to make them, and thus has little regard for any rules, as she can usually get her way out of any consequences from breaking them. At the end of the day, she is an incredibly determined and opportunistic person, who keeps her close friends in the best conditions she can, and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals.

BRIEF BIO
Robyn was the youngest child in her family, born into a family of alchemical farmers within the Rouge faction. It wasn't a fabulous life, working the fields when she was young, with help of her older brother, and they did quite well. They weren't big, no one really noticed them much, and that was the way she liked things back then.

But then one day, her entire family, including herself, took very ill. Whilst there were cures, and they had some available, their father tried to take it all for himself, and the ill man got into a fight with his ill son. In the end, after arguments, and even coming to blows, Robyn's brother managed to secure the cure, and gave it to both Robyn and their mother. He, and their father, passed away from the illness.

This left Robyn outraged, outraged that people wouldn't look out for them, for the people at the bottom of the ladder. Her mother wanted her to leave it, she would eventually remarry and life would return, but Robyn was having none of it. She became determined on making sure there were changes, and so when it came to her choosing, she joined Tyrian.

LIMITATIONS
There is still a chance that people can break out of her mind control, and sometimes people she is controlling act on her subconscious thoughts, rather than those she is ordering them to act upon.

PERSONALITY
Xander is very kind and studious. He loves to help people, and is always trying his best to improve the lives of others however he can. Pain and suffering are things he cannot stand to see, and he is determined to create cures and improvements for everyone. He has determination in spades and will not give up if there is any possibility of foreseeable progress. He is kind and caring for others, liking to make sure that everyone has the best they can have, and wanting to be the one to give it to them, perhaps a little too much sometimes, as he gets overprotective of his work, and jealous of any who seem to be more effective than he.

However, behind his friendly and studious appearance, taking great pride in his work and accomplishments, he is simply just someone who really cares about others. He is insecure in himself and his abilities, never thinking he is good enough, and always wants to better himself. He likes having friends, and cares for them greatly, but usually believes that he is not good enough for them, and at times tries to push them away because of such. But, when he is trying, and in the brief moments he can think clearly, he is very, very intelligent and an incredibly bright mind.

BRIEF BIO
Xander was born into the Rouges, the faction he was destined for, the faction of his family for as long as they can remember. He was a studious child, always going to school and doing his best, watching and learning from his parents as they worked within the labs, brewing new, effective medicines and other things, trying their hardest to make the lives of all others better. He was always taught that it was an honour to help others, and that stuck with him.

There was no horrible tragedy, or evil that befell Xander during his life, simply an attitude to help others, and an ability in alchemy and chemicals that was starting to be something incredible. So, when the choosing happened, and Xander received his leaf with The Rouges upon it, he had no complaints, easily accepting that faction and proceeding forward.

Throughout Hollow Academy, he showed his academic abilities and knowledge, surpassing many and becoming something exceptional, leading him to his final year where it seemed he was destined to be the best doctor his family had ever had.
